I came at this one a little differently than usual since I wanted to get Nick, Seth, and Owen in the shot but also highlight the fact that Nick writes spectacularly funny fanfic about the Extraordinaries. And then I thought it might be cool as a variant cover, so there ya go.

JUNGLELAND (2019) Grade: C

Interesting concept that had some potential. The plot was a mix bag. The ending was a let down and a little cheesy. Jack O'Connell was good though.

The ending of the extraordinaries series is literally a tragedy and I haven’t had the mental capacity to unpack how I feel about it yet but while owen didn’t deserve a redemption it’s absolutely heartbreaking that the abuse from his father coupled with the literal addiction his father forced on him lead to his demise. Like I’m distraught over it honestly. Was he really past saving? Could Nicky not do anything to get through to him? I don’t know if I’m angry about it or I appreciate it as a tragic moment but I’m not sure about the message it’s sending. I’m just sad and wanted better for Owen
