I love D&D worldbuilding with friends. Oh, there's an overarching theme of death and peace with it? Cool, here's the funeral rites for every single species and co-habitated communities. Drow are embalmed and mummified. Elves are planted with trees in their hearts. Gnoll consume the dead to inherit their memories and carry their bones with them to see things they might have never seen while alive. Tieflings are cremated and their ashes are turned into family heirlooms, which often ends with disowned tieflings being terrified of dying because no one will take them when they die. Dwarves are buried under the night sky, a gem in their hands as payment to join the stars. I'm going to fucking cry
