#lay rambles#my ocs#oc: liam hawke#oc: lilian hawke#both my hawkes are very social w their friends but i love comparing their boundaries around it#theres variation in rules for specific ppl with both of them ofc but theres still general differences#with liam its all very open and everyone can p much come and go whenever#they dont get extra keys (theyll get lost and he doesnt want randos finding them lol) but they know where to find the spare key#and bodhan and sandal and orana know to let them in whenever#hes very lenient in this this regard but he does have rules abt what he does and doesnt want them to do#mostly its about not making too much of a mess lol bc liam prefers to clean himself#(he doesnt trust the crew with his household and also he has particular ways of doing things and Hates when theyre done differently)#so things like keep your dirty garb at the entrance dont cook by yourselves (this was banned after they did it one (1) time lol) etc#also no fucking allowed. do that somewhere else for the love of the maker he does NOT want to walk into that in his own house#(and it also comes back to liam not trusting them with cleaning but also Not wanting to clean that up lol)#also he is not fond of them going into his room uninvited. most of the house is chill but that is *his* space#he accommodates these rules by e.g. having spare slippers and a little washing basin in the entrance hall for dirty shoes/feet#always makes sure to have snacks in stock that he knows they like#food will have notes abt what to leave for leandra/orana/etc but otherwise food is prepared with his friends in mind#and in general he'll make sure to adjust the space/routine in little ways to accommodate them#(air out when fen isnt there cus he doesnt like drafts; keep curtains open cus anders prefers open spaces; etc)#lilian on the other hand doesnt like when her friends come into the estate without a heads up (cept for emergencies)#but once they have her 'ok' its basically mi casa es su casa#dont yknow. overdo it and get too rowdy but otherwise do whatever#however. she also expects everyone to clean up after themselves. she aint here to play maid and youre all adults#also liam has a general 'please try to not be too wild when leandra is here' and lilian doesnt#not cos she doesnt care but cos leandra is bothered by sth she can speak up herself#oh and lilian uses the basement space as temporary refuge for anyone who needs it (mostly escaped mages)#also side note: both offered gamlen to stay but he refused (out of pride/remorse)#...this got long and i ran out of tag space lmfao so this is it for now xD

volume 5’s release of one of asuna’s chapters changed the subject of her stan twt cancellation posts from mona to miyu (of frusu)!

I think disliking jensen is fair considering what he has done in the past and not apologized for. It's not wrong to think that he is in some degrees the same person he was then because he hasn't done that much to change except get more quiet about it. I'm not sure it is fair to be mad at people for their dislike of him
no idc if ppl don't like him but i DO think the blatant twisting of words / situations and refusing to see the whole picture and consider context just to vilify him is not fair. like you Know those cons are full of rabid j///2 fans, many of which have crossed boundaries over the yrs and sent death threats to jensen's wife / family over destiel shit. of course he's going to be more careful / quiet in those situations. holding someone to their past actions of over a decade ago and refusing to let people grow and change their opinion is a horrible mentality to have. believing the worst in people is so toxic imo. people love to say actors are just some guys but then refuse to extend the same basic courtesy of what being "just some guy" means aka they are imperfect people. they will make mistakes, they will say the wrong things or stumble over their words. i think we all deserve to give people more grace in general. life is an learning process. lord knows i said stupid shit in 2012 and have changed and grown and become more informed on so many things.
also, when misha was being censored at creation cons and having to toe the party line with "open to interpretation" answers everyone was fine to look at the big picture and realize he was not able to speak freely abt destiel / the confession at those cons. but somehow they think jensen wouldn't have those same constraints placed on him??? the double standard is ridiculous.
#anyways i have no interest in holding debates over this#i look at the situation objectively and just. look at all the facts. the context. the pressures and restrictions and come to conclusions#also the fact that p much everyone who's ever worked with him has had nothing but nice things to say#ppl talk shit in hollywood ok if he were really some horrible homophobe we'd have heard by now#he keeps things professional. he doesn't like conflict.#i don't blame him for playing neutral with a lot of these things. i do not envy the position he's put in by the spn fandom#replies

i'll probably make a proper post about it in the morning but I skipped ahead on my Watchathon list to check out The VVitch and um. i actually didn't really like it lmao
#maybe it needs to settle more in my mind (and I Am watching it with Covid Brain) but#it just kinda felt bleak and meaningless to me#ok Black Phillip is cool in concept (the whole reason I wanted to watch this movie so bad tbh)#but idk. it wasnt quite Subversive enough for me ig#i thought it was gonna be more about the devil as a metaphor for breaking out of such a rigid god-fearing existence#which i guess technically it was?? kinda?? but i mean he was very clearly framed as evil and killed p much everyone#and the part with the witch lady in the woods dressed like she was going to a ren faire cracked me up. she stuck out so bad#i dunno. the atmosphere was good it definitely felt like a genuine period piece#and i appreciated the minimal special effects/CGI#but overall the plot felt pretty. standard devil movie.#the great horror movie watchathon

won’t lie, experiencing some horrors
#just cried uncontrollably for like 20 mins#cried like 3 times yesterday too#i have no energy for like anything rn.. went to buy new glasses today tried on 15 pairs hated them all and then went back to my car#and cried because i really need new glasses since i fucked up my current pair and they don’t sit right now and dig into my face#tw death . my grandma passed away while i was flying home from canada#and it sucks because everyone got to be with her and say goodbye but i didn’t#and there’s a viewing tomorrow and my dad thinks i should go since it will be my last chance to see her but i don’t want to#i get that it’s a healing way to say goodbye for some people but i don’t want to see my oma lifeless#i know i’ll never get to see her again and that fucking sucks but she’s gone and i don’t want to see her like that#plus i have work and i already called in sick 2 days i don’t want to leave them short again even if it’s understandable#anyway the funeral is on tuesday at least i have the day off already and don’t have to worry about work#everything sucks soooooo fucking bad rn i won’t lie i’m not doing too great#and i miss el so much like i would kill to be able to hug my gf right now#their mom sent me a video today of them laying on the couch with their parents cat cuz they visited for father’s day#and i’ve cried twice while watching it…#argh. anyway. going to go watch a silly little video of some sort and maybe sleep early cause i haven’t been sleeping well#it’ll be ok 🧡#p

wholly appreciating the protagonist in this book who has inhuman grace in a fucked up family situation bcs a faultless child is caught in the middle of it and she’s resolutely putting all resentment aside to ensure the kid doesn’t have to suffer any more as a result of adults’ mistakes. “im hurt and in pain and i hate this situation but we have a duty to this child an innocent person can make us all behave better” sooo heartwarming and also heartbreaking to find this attitude expressed so clearly and having children treated with the kindness they should all and always be treated with. Give me a moment

#I didn’t see the appeal I’m a bad fan of horror movie dolls l#she was ok very goofy very silly I pissed during the dance part everyone was so excited about (like I left to use the bathroom so I missed#it) it’s not like an intensely out there movie for queer horror fans to latch onto#ie like chucky or any horror movie where the premise is so ridiculous it’s fun#plus is the movie was self aware at moments abt how ridiculous the premise was the chucky Megan comparisons are very warranted#not in a “chucky did it better” but in a yep two killer dolls they do kill some people#I wasn’t bored which was a plus#TITANIUM WAS SO FUNNY I COULDNT HELP ITTT#Seeing it in theater was def worth it cuz the audience as eating the movie up#one dude was cackling at every joke they threw on screen#I’m sure there’s some deepe analysis but I’m p sure it’s just queer people like bad horror movies a lot of the time#I don’t have the energy to like unwravel the subtext tonight I’m sure there’s plenty#Retro.bullshit#I’m not a Megan hater I swear she slayed just wasn’t too much of a stand out to me

when the plot developments hit just ✨wrong✨
#can’t believe the 2k24 plot has progressed to the point where the weekend has ended… s i g h#i don’t want the weekend to eeeeeeeeeenddddddddd#wasted yet another weekend reading a facepalm-worthy manhwa. i want my weekend back </3#m an. the main plot point of that manhwa was just the entitled af sister poisoning everyone and evading consequences until the end#seriouslyyyyyyy first she poisoned the fl，then she tried to poison the fl’s husband (who was also her lover)#then she poisoned herself to bid farewell to her affair child. and th e n she poisoned her dad too bc he said no to her marrying the emperor#and *then* she poisoned the emperor himself with potato sprouts while trying to poison the fl *again*#and t h e n she was roped into a cheap plot to off the emperor by stabbing him with a poisoned needle by a (very meta tbh) guy#i mean. guy handed her the needle and was like ‘ok do what you’ve always been doing and poison the emperor for me.’ and she went ‘ok’#and they had the 2 most pointless brother characters i’ve ever seen.#first bro was some 15 y.o. affair child bro of the fl’s first husband who p much just existed to inherit the husband’s estate#and the second bro was the affair child bro of the emperor: a perfectly nice young man who was unfairly hated by said emperor#and. like. l o l. the 2 pointless bros were like the only likeable characters in the entire story and they barely appeared in it#the first husband had every single possible undesirable trait a man could have rolled up into a single guy#and the emperor had a wafer-thin backbone and a mad case of babyface. like. the 15 year old boy looked older than him h e y#and the fl was somehow both a skilled opportunist and a master of missing opportunities at the same time#and man. the fl had just a single (1) maid who looked like tomoya enstrs (but with a bob cut)#i don’t even remember the maid’s name; i just called her ‘bob tomoya’. sorry for the slander tomochin you’re a cool dude#i’ve never seen a main cast as unlikeable as this one lmao. i mean. at least the [redacted] anime had juri#the plot was a pointless mess in general too. it went from 100 to 10000 in no time flat for no reason at all#it kinda felt like they were just throwing plot twists for the sake of throwing plot twists#and ofc the fl successfully resolved every problem that came her way bc o f c she did. flashtag girlboss and all ig#but the best part of it all (imo) was the improperly placed jewellery assets. they aren’t even angled consistently across progressive panels#they aren’t even shaded either. just plopped on there. it really takes you out of the setting esp if it’s during a serious scene#i liked how i kept getting an ad about cheating in marriages while reading it though. it really added to the experience#i’d rate that series a 2/10: needs more assets and half brothers#time to find a new overy melodramatic telenovella-esque series to binge next weekend ig… last week’s was better thoughhhh#at least that one had the villainess experience her downfall as consequences of her own actions and it was quite satisfying ngl#hm. i think i need a new hobby. before the word ‘villainess’ becomes a permanent part of my vocabulary

#snap chats#PLEASE give him a different voice i cant yumi i know you coulda done better#oh yeah im playing rggo and i pulled him hi#i also pulled baby kiryu and im crying he sounds so cute 😭😭#like i listen to him and i go Damn That Do Be Kiryu As A Teenager#LIKE JUST IMAGINE KURODA TALKING IN A HIGH VOICE AND THATS WHAT YOU GET#its so cute im obsessed#i also got inoue and saigo :]] makes me laugh cause saigo's leadership ability increases inoue's attack and Brother Needs It 💀#i have kiryu as my leader tho since his ability increases everyones attack by 15% but still thats so funny#inoue has terrible attack all things considered but i like his heat ability so#jingu's heat is actually great it's only like. 4-5 bars but not only does it does damage to one target it also heals the party#inoue boosts the highest attacking unit (which is safigo for my party) and heals everyone and saigo just heals#I DONT MEAN TO PUT SO MUCH HEALING but jingu was a crazy nice deal when everyone else's heats are like level 7#saigo will prob just be a straight attacker but it sucks that his heat isn't an attacking ability. BIG waste smh#rggo keeps giving me ryujis btw. i have so many ryujis i can make a team of ryuji at this point#like two were free im p sure but i just keep geting more 💀#rgg loves ryuji and it shows#ok im going back to playing bye#fuckin tricked you into reading a post about RGGO instead of just my insane bullshit about finding jingu hot#literally the lamest antagonist ever but if his voice was better he could get it
