Just a little PSA since I know it's a heated topic:

I am in the minority of loving all three MLs of Lost You Forever to bits. (Occasionally I want to smack Cang Xuan but as a character he's so complex and so splendidly acted, he's probably my favorite and I do feel deep love and pity for him even if alternating with rage.) I think they all act well and are good looking and have interesting narratives.

I am very happy she loves Jing, I die for the angsty what-if between her and Xiang Liu (someone give me the OT3 of my dreams!) and while I don't ship her with Cang Xuan, I love the charge of their scenes.

Ultimately, I think Yang Zi is doing an amazing job (best she's done since Changsha), and as goes Xiao Yao so does my nation.

I genuinely don't care if someone hates one/two/all of these dudes (or anyone else in this) - everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just a PSA that if someone liking everyone in this and multishipping as the narrative permits is annoying, probably best not to follow my posts on the LYF tag because they will contain a lot of gushing over any of these three dudes/ships as narrative/scenes permit.

I realize this is sort of my pet soapbox but imho it is deeply embarrassing for the USAmerican left that most of you have no real institutional critique of conservative USAmerican Christianity beyond like. Recognizing that they are mean to women and queer people, mocking the very low-hanging fruit of their wacky culture war antics, and making vague emotionally-satisfying-but-at-best-kinda-ahistorical claims that everything wrong with USAmerican culture can be traced back to the Puritans.

To be clear. Obviously it is both true and bad that they are mean to women and queer people. But I like to think that if my country’s politics were being driven rightward at an alarming rate by Christofascist reactionaries I would care very much about who they are, how they organize themselves, their history as a political movement, the specifics of their ideology, etc instead of just going teehee War On Christmas, teehee self-righteous preachy evangelicals having threesomes with the poolboy all the time.

really thinking about setting up like a fic directory on here where you could like pick a kink and it'd show you everything i've written with that kink. Other filters too like pairing and genre (smut/angst/fluff) and that sort of thing.

I've seen others have similar pages for fic recs and I thot it might be good to have here too because sometimes I feel like the masterlist I've currently got is a little annoying to navigate if you don't know the fic names and also I'm bad at updating it lmao.

Is that something anyone would use? Are there any specific filters you'd like to see? I'd love to know what you guys think!
