What are your oc's go-to orders when they go out together 👀👀
Ooh great question!
Honestly depends on where they go to eat but their go to places are the local pizza place or the Indian restaurant.
Lucy is a bit of a picky eater so she goes with what the most 'basic' options are, so here they would be a good old margherita pizza with garlic bread on the side, and chicken tikka masala with plain naan and onion bhaji respectively. And she would only order a lemony drink, like a lemonade or nimbu paani. She has not changed these orders in 10 years and she will never change them ever, they're perfect meals. Do not try to make her eat something new.
Adam eats anything that's got like a salty sweet thing or spicy sweet thing going on, so for pizza's he'd probably get a meaty spicy pizza and then ask them to add capers and golden raisins on top + he'd get a tiramisu dessert, and his Indian food order would be lamb kofta curry at the highest spice level with garlic paratha and then a giant glass of sweet lassi.
Harsha is like a big sweet tooth that his friends kind of hate, he orders a big dessert portion and then orders a savoury main. like he'll order 2 chocolate lava cakes first and then order a plate of lasagna. He eats the lava cake first and then eats cold lasagna, we hate him for it. and at the Indian restaurant he'd order chapati with mango shrikhand, and then get 2 sides of prawn fry and chicken 65.
Naz is vegetarian by choice cause the smell of meat makes him feel rather ill, but he'll order anything that's really eggy or dairy  cause he loves eggs and milk. at the Italian place he'd get a florentine pizza and ask for an extra egg, and then order a vanilla panna cotta. At the Indian place he'd get egg biryani with mint cucumber raita, and then wash it down with a mango lassi extra thick.
Shaz is down to eat anything tbf as long as it's halal, so most of the time she just orders the dishes of the day and then a random side and a drink. she's not really into sweet stuff. Her go to sides at the italian place are the dough balls with marinara sauce and garlic butter though, and she gets an orange soda. at the indian place she orders gobi manchuri and rose milk with less sugar.
Daniel is vegan and also born in hyderabad, moved to england when he was 9 cause his dad got transferred by his IT company. He loves to eat food that's in pockets or something and is very carby. His italian order is usually a vegan mushroom aubergine tomato calzone, dough balls with marinara sauce, and a limeade to wash it all down. His indian order is usually palak paneer with aloo paratha, and a dabeli as a side, with nimbu pani. if he's feeling fancy he'll get a dessert but that depends on his mood.
Abigail is the one with the most unpredictable tastes because she isn't picky and wants to try something new every time, she doesn't really have any preference lol but she doesn't like eating the same thing in a row. So she just randomly orders dishes, but the one thing she does have a preference for is the dessert, she hates chocolate things so she usually orders a vanilla cheesecake at the Italian place, or a gulab jamun with ice cream at the Indian place. She's really hard to order for lmao.

hi
Hey, everyone! Wow, it’s good to be here. You know, I just got to America, and I have to say… I thought I knew what America was all about from watching TV, but man, this place is something else! I mean, I watched all the music videos before coming here, and it looked like a nonstop party! I was ready for it! I was like, ‘Yeah, I wanna be like these guys! I wanna be like Drake, Kendrick Lamar…’ You know, just have people think I’m cool for once in my life.
So, I get here, and I’m thinking, ‘Alright, I’m gonna do this! I’m gonna bring that Drake vibe everywhere!’ I’m at school, walking down the hall like I’m in the “Hotline Bling” video. I start singing, ‘You used to call me on my cell phone… late night when you need… a tutor for your math homework…’ And my classmates are just staring at me like, ‘Did this Indian kid just remix Drake to ask for homework help?’
And inside, I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m not just some kid who only knows Bollywood! I’m out here, listening to Kendrick Lamar, motherfuckers!’
Then, one day, I’m walking around the school, feeling all confident, singing ‘Ever since I left the city, you…’ Like I actually left a city, you know? I’m thinking I’m Drake, but my life looks more like a Bollywood movie, dancing around trees and hoping my crush notices me.
Now, I couldn’t rap or dance to save my life, but I was committed to living that superstar lifestyle. My cousin, he gets this bootleg copy of some beat-making software, and I’m like, ‘This is it! We’re gonna be the next big thing!’ We set up his living room as our “studio”—which was really just some blankets over the windows and a karaoke mic we found in his garage. We call ourselves ‘Desi Dreams’ because we had dreams… big dreams.
Well, as big as dreams can be when your beats are made with a keyboard that plays ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ in the background.
Meanwhile, my dad… oh, my dad, he had his own vision of America. To him, America is like the biggest buffet in the world, and he’s got a VIP pass. This guy would buy anything on sale. ‘Buy one, get one free?’ My dad’s first in line. ‘Buy two, get the third 50% off?’ He’s loading up the trunk.
But his favorite? Pizza. And not just any pizza—he wants to try every type of pizza out there. So, I say, ‘Dad, how about some pepperoni?’ And he looks at me like I just insulted the family honor. He’s like, ‘Pepperoni? Pepperoni? We didn’t come to America for you to eat plain pepperoni pizza, yaar! There’s barbecue chicken, Philly cheesesteak, even mac and cheese pizza! How can you settle for pepperoni?’
Then he gets these crazy ideas. One day, he’s watching the Food Network, and suddenly, he’s like, ‘I’ve got it! We’re gonna make a pizza with naan crust, topped with butter chicken, but wait, that’s not all! We’ll drizzle it with mango chutney and put crushed papadums on top for crunch! And for dessert, a pizza with gulab jamun slices. Sweet and savory in one bite—nobody’s done it!’
And I’m like, (singing) ‘No one, no one, no o-o-one…’ like Alicia Keys, ‘…has ever thought of gulab jamun pizza!’ Because, yeah, there’s a reason for that, Dad!
But he doesn’t stop there. Oh, no. ‘We’ll have a pizza with layers like a biryani! Imagine, rice, chicken, spices, all on a crust! We’ll call it "Biryani-Zza!" And for drinks, we’ll have lassi slushies and masala chai floats. Why stop there? Samosa calzones! Paneer tikka bagels! We’re gonna revolutionize American fast food!’
He’s running around the house like a mad scientist with naan in one hand and a blender in the other, shouting, ‘I will make the world’s first Butter Chicken Smoothie! Protein-packed and delicious!’
He even wants to install a “Chaat Fountain.” You know, like those chocolate fountains, but instead of chocolate, it’s just chutney flowing in all directions, with samosas on sticks to dip into it.
(Singing like Drake) ‘Started from the bottom, now we’re here… building a chutney fountain for our pizza joint, yeah!’
I’m just standing there, thinking, ‘Dad, I don’t think Americans are ready for a fountain of tamarind sauce at their pizza party.’ But hey, you gotta admire the enthusiasm, right?
And he starts calling all our relatives back in India, pitching this plan like he’s about to open the next big franchise. (Singing like Taylor Swift) ‘Look what you made me do, look what you made me do—made me wanna sell paneer tikka tacos too!’
But he’s not done. Oh no, my dad goes full-on Willy Wonka. He’s like, ‘You know what the world needs? A pizza with pakoras baked into the crust! And for breakfast, we’ll do pizza parathas—stuffed with aloo, gobi, and whatever else we can think of! And get this: "Tandoori Tater Tots." No one’s seen it coming!’
And he’s not stopping there. ‘We’ll open a chain of food trucks,’ he says, ‘with crazy combos like Vindaloo Vada Pav! And the pièce de résistance—a pizza cone filled with chicken tikka, topped with melted paneer, and a sprinkle of chat masala. Mobile dining meets Indian street food meets Italian cuisine. It’s genius!’
(Singing like Kendrick Lamar) ‘We gon' be alright!’ Except by “alright,” he means serving pizza cones filled with chicken tikka out of a truck shaped like an auto-rickshaw.
At this point, I’m starting to wonder if my dad is secretly planning to take over the world, one insane food idea at a time. ‘Dad,’ I tell him, ‘You’re basically describing a food court from a parallel universe where everything is mixed with everything else!’
But you know what? He’s so committed, he starts designing the restaurant himself. ‘Picture this,’ he says, ‘The walls will be painted like Bollywood sets, with neon signs quoting Drake lyrics in Hindi. And the tables? They’ll be repurposed tuk-tuks. Customers can sit in them while eating their masala mac and cheese pizza!’
(Singing like Bruno Mars) ‘Treasure! That is what you are… a repurposed tuk-tuk to eat in, by far!’
And don’t even get me started on his dessert ideas. He’s like, ‘We’ll have a section called "Drake’s Sweet Spot"—with gulab jamun-stuffed donuts, rasmalai cheesecake, and kulfi milkshakes named after Kendrick’s greatest hits. And, for the adventurous, paan-flavored ice cream sandwiches. We’ll take the Instagram world by storm!’
By now, I’m just imagining people walking into this crazy fusion restaurant, not knowing whether they’re supposed to eat the food or take selfies with it. And my dad? He’s standing there like some culinary superhero, cape made of naan, ready to save the world from boring food.
So, the night before he’s supposed to sign the lease, he goes all out with this enormous dinner—biryani, samosas, and yes, the infamous butter chicken pizza with mango chutney. And he’s like, ‘Do you see this pizza? Do you know what it’s saying to us?’
And we’re like, ‘No, what, Dad?’
And he goes, (Singing dramatically like an opera) ‘It’s saying, "I am the future of foooood! I will unite nations, I will bring peace to the world—one slice at a tiiiime!" Like Kendrick, I will bring people together with a message!’
You gotta hand it to him. My dad had dreams bigger than Kanye’s ego. He thought he’d cracked the secret: just combine everything—food, culture, and a whole lot of chutney.
And that’s what America is, right? One big, over-the-top experiment that we’re all trying to find our place in. Whether you're starting a rap career in your cousin’s living room or opening a restaurant that’ll change the world with samosa-stuffed pizza crusts.
So here I am, in this fusion food, hip-hop fantasy, trying to find my own flavor.
(Singing like Kendrick Lamar) ‘And we gon' be… alright!’

Ok while VK is a pro at cooking, he's mostly used to cooking traditional Indian food, which he grew up eating and making. He's not at all used to making typical western or Aussie stuff like a barbeque or a shepherd's pie, or quiche or lasagna or anything like that. The most he can make when it comes to non-Indian cuisine is pasta, pizza, roasts, and desserts. After their marriage, VK and Pat host a barbeque for all their friends; VK nearly burns the house down while trying to do a barbeque xD 🤣😜
Also, once Pat realizes he likes VK and sets out to woo him, he decides to cook something very classically Indian for him, like roti and paneer makhanwala and chicken tikka masala or a fragrant, spicy biryani. It does not go according to plan, because Pat keeps confusing all the Indian spices, he really can't tell them apart, and everything that's not supposed to go into a biryani somehow gets in there. 🤣😜
Ahahahah I love these 😂😂

Bell Peppers: 1/2 cup, sliced (red, yellow, and green for color)
Onion: 1/2 cup, thinly sliced

Marinate Paneer: In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and kasuri methi. Add paneer cubes and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook Paneer:
Grilling: Preheat a grill or oven to 200°C (392°F). Thread the marinated paneer onto skewers and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until slightly charred.
Pan-frying: Heat oil in a pan and cook the marinated paneer on medium heat until slightly charred and cooked through.
Assembling the Pizza:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
Spread Sauce: Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base. For an added kick, you can also spread a thin layer of green chutney.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Top with Vegetables: Distribute bell peppers, onions, and tomato slices evenly over the cheese.
Add Paneer Tikka: Place the cooked paneer tikka pieces on top of the vegetables.
Baking:
Bake: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Finish: Once out of the oven, sprinkle chaat masala and fresh cilantro over the pizza.
Serve: Slice and serve hot.
Tips:
For a Spicier Kick: Add some thinly sliced green chilies to the toppings.
Cheese Variations: You can mix mozzarella with cheddar or use paneer instead of mozzarella for a unique flavor.

The Secret to Successful Celebrations: Bulk Instant Chapati for Effortless Feasts
Tumblr media
Celebrations are synonymous with good food, laughter and cherished moments. The heart of any great celebration is the feast, where family and friends gather to enjoy delicious food. However, hosting a large event can be daunting, especially when it comes to preparing food for a large crowd. This is where Instant Chapati Madurai comes to the rescue. This article explores how instant chapati can make your celebration a hassle-free affair, ensuring your guests are well-fed and you have more time to enjoy the festivities.
Understanding the Instant Chapati: What is Instant Chapati? Instant chapati is a batter made from whole wheat flour, water and essential spices. It is rolled into flat discs, partially cooked and then packaged in bulk. This ready-to-cook solution allows you to quickly prepare fresh chapatis without the hassle of making dough from scratch.
Why choose Instant Chapati? Using bulk instant chapati offers several advantages, making it a great choice for large gatherings:
Convenience: Saves time and effort in making dough.
Consistency: Ensures consistent taste and texture.
Freshness: Offers freshly made chapatis with minimal effort.
Efficiency: Streamlines the cooking process, allowing you to focus on other tasks.
Benefits of an Instant Chapati for Celebrations:
Time-saving solution- One of the most important advantages of using whole instant chapati is the time saved in the kitchen. Traditional chapati making involves kneading the dough, rolling it out and cooking each chapati individually. This process can be very time-consuming, especially when feeding a large crowd. Total Instant Chapati eliminates these steps and allows you to prepare large quantities quickly and efficiently.
Consistent quality- Consistency is essential when serving food at a celebration. Total Instant Chapati ensures that every chapati is the same size, thickness and taste. This consistency enhances the dining experience for your guests and reflects favourably on your cooking skills.
Easy storage and handling- Bulk instant chapati is packaged for easy storage and handling. It usually comes in vacuum-sealed packs or resealable bags to maintain freshness until you’re ready to use it. This convenience extends to handling and cooking, making it an effortless addition to your celebration preparations.
Cost effective- Making chapatis from scratch is labour intensive and requires a considerable amount of resources. Instant Chapati Madurai, on the other hand, is a cost-effective alternative. By buying in bulk, you can reduce the overall cost of the sabbath, making it an economical choice for larger events.
Incorporating Instant Chapati into your menu:
A traditional Indian feast- For a traditional Indian feast, instant chapati is perfect with a variety of dishes:
Curries: Serve with rich and flavorful curries like Butter Chicken, Paneer Tikka Masala or Lamb Rogan Josh.
Vegetable dishes: Fill with sauteed or roasted vegetables like aloo gobi or baingan bharta.
Lentils: Enjoy with protein-rich lentil dishes like dal makhani or chana masala.
Fusion cooking- Whole instant chapati can be incorporated into fusion dishes for a modern twist:
Chapati Tacos: Use chapatis as taco shells and fill them with seasoned meats, beans and fresh salsa.
Chapati Pizzas: A quick and easy pizza alternative topped with tomato sauce, cheese and your favorite toppings.
Chapati Quesadillas: Fill with cheese and veggies, then fold and grill a delicious quesadilla.
Breakfast and Brunch- Incorporate Total Instant Chapati into your breakfast or brunch menu:
Chapati and Eggs: Serve with scrambled eggs, omelettes or egg curry.
Chapati Sandwiches: Use chapatis to make breakfast sandwiches with eggs, bacon and cheese.
Sweet Chapatis: A sweet breakfast treat drizzled with honey, and topped with fruit, or nut butter.
The secret to successful celebrations is in the details, and a total instant sabbath is one detail that can make a significant difference. By incorporating this convenient, cost-effective and sustainable option into your event planning, you can ensure your guests enjoy a delicious feast without the usual kitchen mess. Whether you’re hosting a traditional Indian feast, exploring fusion cuisine or serving a special breakfast, Instant Chapati Madurai is your secret weapon for effortless feasting. Adopt this innovative solution and elevate your celebrations to new heights.
