So I'm watching Wheelchair Rugby in the Paralympics and apparently the sport's nickname is "murder ball". From what I've seen so far, it fits.

This morning, I can't even remember, ta fatigue. Umm, oh I wrote another part for the Foster household! Basically I love Kayleigh and Harvey but they've both completed two lifetime aspirations and are in a good financial place so I'll mostly follow Carson for the week since his parents don't have any grandkids to dote on yet.

Then in the afternoon I played some SBL, I'm at a bit I can mostly speed through but that doesn't stop me taking too many screenshots does it? Then a bit of Glenn to get some more photos because why not interact with all three of my main storylines in a single day?

I also caught up on some Paralympics, particularly the gold medal a New Zealand woman got in the 200m sprints. The news interviewed her and she was so happy. The previous day when she was defending her gold in long jump she got knocked out of the medals just before her final jump which was then a foul. So the 200m sprints were her "for me* race but then bamn, gold. It is such a good reminder to keep going because things can turn around unexpectedly.

i will never fully and completely trust the people who make watching the olympics non-stop their entire personality for the entire duration of it but then don't say a word about the paralympics

Wheelchair fencing is a static discipline, with athletes competing in a wheelchair in a special frame firmly fastened to the floor. Yeah because I have seen these people in action and they would have no qualms ejecting themselves from the wheelchair to score a point.

Also they move so much for a supposedly static sport that the platforms the wheelchairs are strapped to often lift from the floor.

We got 10 people so my dumbass broadcaster should at the very least cover their preliminary matches, hopefully much more.

It’s a messed up feeling: being salty for Team USA and being really happy for Team Japan. Team Japan was the best rugby team all Paralympics and it showed for in the final.

Gotta get that gold at LA28, Eagles.
