HERE’S THE DEAL-

I think Miya is a HELLA popular twitch streamer. He’s got an online alias (something to do with cats methinks) and he’s told NOBODY.

HOWEVER COMMA, Joe found him in his recommended streamers one day and INSTANTLY recognized his voice.

So, him and Cherry like to watch his streams together on the TV. They use fake accounts and take turns gifting subscribers and sending donations just so they can hear how adorably surprised he gets.

I can’t WAIT to see where you go with this 😭🤭

“What’s up everybody- it’s your boy Neko! Welcome to the stream!”

Joe wasn’t much of a stream watcher. Really, he wasn’t much of a anything watcher- preferring things that kept his hands and eyes focused at all times over simply sitting and watching.

Cherry on the other hand enjoyed stream watching, sitting back with a cup of tea as his phone speakers blared whatever creator he was supporting that day. Usually the streams consisted of quiet ASMR type of videos or soft commentary.

Not only was this guy none of those- but he was freaking MIYA!

“Is that-” Joe whirled around, eyes wide as Cherry gaped at the screen. The person was faceless, but the voice was without a doubt him.

“I had no idea Miya was streaming.” Cherry looked closer, humming. “He’s got quite the following.”

“Yeah…” Abandoning the dishes he was cleaning, he came around the table, squishing in next to his husband as they watched Miya do this thing. It became pretty clear why he was so popular- the game he was playing looked outrageously fun, and the way he spoke and interacted with his fan base was beyond  lovable.

Of course- Joe was utterly biased about that last part, but whatever.

“Hmm..” Cherry hummed after a bit before picking up his phone, tapping away. Seconds later, a notification popped up on Miya’s stream.

“Oh-Whoa! Holy- thank you so much, RoseColoredInk! I appreciate it!” Miya sounded astonished at the large donation, flustered and pleased. Cherry nodded in satisfaction.

“RoseColoredInk?” Joe questioned, earning a light swat.

“Can’t use my real alias, can I? He’d know it’s me.”

“I’m getting him next- you damn showoff.” Joe kissed his brow before returning to the dishes, gesturing to the nearest bluetooth speaker as he did.

"Wow-Miya! You finally got your dream board!" Reki cheered, gaping next to Langa as the smaller boy rolled up, new board beneath his feet. "How'd that happen?"

"Oh- I have my ways." Miya shrugged, kicking it up so he could show off the cat motif design along the bottom to his friends. "You could say it was...a gift of sorts."

A few paces away, Cherry and Joe shared a secret smile.

A gift indeed.

I wonder if Koga would be that "one gay cousin" in the family... if he even has cousins. It's possible that both his parents were single children. But, honestly, Koga's more than likely never told anyone about his love/crush on Rei. I mean, to his family. Idk how his parents would take to the info. They're detached but loving parents, but would they be alright with their only child being in love with another man? These are the things I think about.

i'm still working on my carrd, but i have come to realize that hikaru deals with a bit of with self hatred. hikaru was never shown love and care as a child, causing him to grow with the mentality that he had done something or something was just so wrong with him that he didn't deserve to be loved. i think that's also a part of why it was so hard to make friends during childhood for him because if not even his parents cared for him why would anyone else.

This was a great fic! It is more of a collection of stories rather than one overall story plot. They all connect and work well together though! Definitely different then what I originally thought, but I still enjoyed it. Give it a read if you like parental Joe/Cherry!
