Mina whipped her head towards the sudden disruption, trying to see who it was.

Out of the changeroom doors came tumbling out two boys, a third one following behind them with his hands deep in his shorts pockets.

Mark let out an exasperated sigh, "Guys, stop! We have a guest!"

One of them turned towards the group and his eyes widened slightly, pushing the other off of him and getting up. He approached the three of them with a sly grin tugging at his lips.

"Woahhh, who's the chick?" he asked, looking the girl up and down. Renjun slapped him on the back, “shut the fuck up, Hyuck.” he spat.

By now, the entire team had come to see what the commotion was about. The pairs of eyes on her caused Mina to shift uncomfortably on her feet.

She took this time to get a good look at all of them, only having ever seen them on the court and occasionally around the school—and there were always a lot of people surrounding them during those brief moments.

Lee Jeno—god, Mina wouldn't be able to count the number of times she'd seen girls write his initials and draw tiny little hearts around them in their notebook with an infatuated look on their faces. She wondered how he was able to still be polite after having to constantly reject confessions—she would've snapped long ago if it were her.

Zhong Chenle and Park Jisung, the dynamic duo, Mina had heard. They were a year younger, yet they could play better than someone with years more of experience. Jisung was incredibly tall, looming over everyone else with a bored and stoic look on his face. Chenle, on the other hand, looked very happy-go-lucky, which was surprising.

But what surprised Mina the most was Na Jaemin.

God, was he intimidating.

He stood there with a stone-cold expression, not a single ounce of emotion could be seen along the lines of his terribly attractive face. He wasn't as tall as Jisung, yet his presence cast a shadow over her that sent chills down her spine.

Lee Donghyuck, the ringleader of their little group. The one everyone's been told to stay away from—yet they get pulled to him like a magnet. It's like a cocky smirk was permanently etched onto his face no matter the situation. His arrogance screamed dominance.

Frankly, Mina was terrified. She stared at the popular group of boys, who had built such a name for themselves, as they stood in front of her so casually.

Before, they seemed so... untouchable. This was just strange.

Chenle gasped. "Renjun hyung, you never told me you got a girlfriend!" he suddenly exclaimed, his look of shock turning into one of excitement.

Mina's eyes widened, turning her head to look at Renjun who looked equally as shocked.

"Wh- she's not my girlfriend!" He sputtered.

Mina shook her head, sucking air in through her teeth, "Catch me in my grave before I ever date this freak," she said in disgust, causing Renjun to roll his eyes.

Jeno snorted, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Alright then. And what's your name, Ms. Smartass?"

She clicked her tongue, "Park Mina."

"Park Mina..." Jisung suddenly said, his low tone startling the girl. "You're best friends with Yoo Celine, right?"

Mina slowly nodded her head, confused at the random question. "Yes...? Me and Renjun both are."

Jisung turned his head over to look at Jaemin, whose eyes at noticeably gone wider. They shared a look before Jisung turned back to the girl in front of him.

"Well, you see, Jaemin hyung has-"

Jaemin smacked Jisung on the back of his head, eliciting an 'ow what the fuck' from the boy.

Mina raised an eyebrow and looked between the two of them before turning away, just to be met with the face of Donghyuck.

His dark eyes bored into hers as they exchanged eye contact. Mina shuddered under his strangely piercing gaze.

Mark sighed and clapped his hands together. "Alright, no more wasting time. Come on, guys. Give me 5 laps around the court then we'll start scrims straight away." he said, heading towards the court.

Everyone complied wordlessly, following behind their captain. Mina looked at them one last time before walking up the steps of the bleachers.

The dinner went by smoothly- well, from your perspective. You were oblivious to the tension between your best friend and boyfriend. At least you pretended to be.

Sure, you had felt the friction between the two boys, but you had managed to convince yourself that it wasn’t there. What reason did they have to dislike each other after Sunghoon was so intent on apologizing?

“Listen, Jisung. I know we started off on the wrong foot, but I wanna apologize for how I acted a few days ago.. I hope we’re able to get past that, I really don’t want it to be awkward between us!” Sunghoon laughed as Jisung blinked in disbelief. This wasn’t the same hostility Jisung had gotten over messages. The boy hoped that your friend was telling him the truth.

He gave a hesitant smile before replying, “Don’t worry about it, Sunghoon. I feel the same! I hope we’re about to get over our rough first impressions.”

With that, you clapped your hands together, excited that they seemed to be civil with each other. The dinner continued with your chattering and the boys joining in occasionally to add their comments.

“Oh yeah. Jisung, we’re finishing our movie marathon on Friday.. I forgot to mention but we wanted to let you know that you’re welcome to join back!” You brought up as the three of you awaited your meal to arrive. You knew you had to keep up different conversation topics or else a wave of awkward silence would plague your table.

“Really? Should I bring my Ravenclaw throw blanket to keep with the movie night theme? I should really give it to you though, you’re the Ravenclaw, not me.” Jisung let out a laugh and you followed soon after. 

With a confused smile Sunghoon spoke up, “I thought you were a Gryfindoor? You act more like one!” 

“No, she fits Ravenclaw more, don’t you think? Also blue looks good on you!” Your boyfriend nudged you in the last part causing you to giggle. 

“Jisung’s right.. Though I haven’t thought about it recently!” You swiftly checked the time on your phone, “I’m going to head to the bathroom before the food gets here. Can you watch my stuff for me?”

After you walked off, out of ear shot, a frown appeared on Sunghoons face. “Hey, I noticed this when we first met, but can you stop acting like you know her better than I do? It's kind of weird, it seems a little competitive..” 

Jisung only blinked at him in disbelief. Sunghoon had spoken like he seriously meant it, which made Jisung question if he even realized how much of an asshole he was being.. He didn’t even know how to respond, in fear of further getting on his bad side. As he meekly apologized, he sunk into his chair in relief when you arrived.

 It was going to be a long dinner,,,,

EPISODE SEVEN : PARTY IN THE BEACH

"okay y/n, stop singing" chenle said and put his hand on her mouth to stop her from singing.

"i'm just singing to taylor swift, what is wrong with that" y/n said and slumped her back to the passenger seat.

"guys, don't get too drunk okay? especially you" mark said and looked at the girl beside him.

"hey, i don't drink so much. these two will probably drink more than me" y/n said and looked behind her.

"and don't go anywhere far away" mark warned the three and they nodded.

once they arrived at the beach house, they were greeted with loud music and people coming in and out of the house.

"MARK LEE!!" someone shouted making them turn their heads to the right. they saw a tall guy with a beer in his hand walking towards them.

"are these your friends? they look so young" the tall guy said and pinch jisung cheeks.

"he's so cute, ten will like him but i think he's too young for him" he said to mark and he nodded.

"uhm this is jisung, chenle and y/n" mark introduced the three.

"and i'm johnny, i hope you guys enjoy the party" he said and left the four of them.

"remember what i told you okay? now go, enjoy the party" mark said and the four of them separated to have fun.

"ugh i'm so tired, just where are they?" y/n said walking in the crowded room. they were in the party for almost 3 hours now and she is already tired, wanting to go home.

she went outside the beach house and went near the sea. she sighed and walked to the seaside, feeling the fresh air and listening to the waves hitting the sand.

"daegal?" she said when she saw a dog below her.

"OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE? did you follow chenle in here?" she said and picked the white dog. she continued and walked with daegal in her arms.

"i can't believe that you lost daegal in here, how will i explain to my cousin that i lost his dog?" y/n looked ahead and saw four guys looking around at the beach.

"hey it's not my fault that haechan took her out without a leash" jaemin said to renjun. once they were near enough to see her holding the dog that they were looking for

"DAEGAALLL" haechan said and ran towards them. before he could take the dog, y/n move to her side making haechan almost fall to the sand.

"hey, that's not your dog. give it back" he said and looked at the girl. he stared at her for a minute and went back to reality when daegal barked at him.

"daegal, do you know them? they are not your owner though" y/n said to daegal and daegal just licked her face.

"HAECHAN ! now is not the time to flirt with a gi– DAEGAL!!!" renjun who was angry at haechan suddenly looked like he was about to cry when he saw the dog.

"omg thank yo–" before renjun could carry the dog, y/n ran away to them with daegal still in her arms.

"HEY DOG THIEF, BRING DAEGAL BACK" haechan shouted and followed y/n who was running. she looked at the beach house she was earlier and her jaw dropped when she saw how far she had gotten during her walk.

"OMG DAEGAL" she said, scared at the fact that she might get caught and the fact that they will take daegal.

"why are you even on this beach, chenle's house is very far away here" y/n said and stopped her track. she is exhausted, so was haechan and renjun who's following her.

"WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO TAKE AWAY DAEGAL!! SHE'S NOT YOUR DOG" y/n shouted at the two. the two were confused on how she knows the dog but haechan shouted back.

"THAT DOG ISN'T YOURS EITHER AND HOW DID YOU KNOW HER NAME HUH?! ARE YOU A STALKER?!" jeno and jaemin who noticed the shouting, stopped and looked where it was coming from. the two of them saw haechan, renjun and a girl holding daegal making them run to the scene.

"hey i don't know why you are holding daegal but please bring her back to us, renjun's cousin will be angry at him" jaemin said to her.

"cousin? chenle?" she asked making renjun furrowed his brows.

"do you know chenle?" he asked and y/n finally relaxed her position.

"yes, he's my friend and this dog is very precious to me so i don't want to give her to whoever you guys are" she said and took her phone.

"CHENLE, WHERE ARE YOU?! MY BABY DAEGAL IS IN THIS BEACH WITH SOME GUYS AND I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD TRUST THEM OR NOT" she shouted at the phone.

"oh yeah? your cousin? renjun?— are you renjun?" renjun nodded at her and she nodded back.

"well i thought daegal followed us here at the beach because she came to me, yeah bye" she ended the call and put her phone on her pocket.

"well, sorry for running. i just thought you were some random guys who wanted to do something bad to daegal so i ran" she said awkwardly.

"it's okay, can you give her back to us now?" renjun said and she nodded.

"daegal, bye baby" she said and kissed the dog before giving it to renjun.

"anyways sorry again for running" she said and they nodded. the five of them stood there awkwardly.

"well, i'll get going now. take care of daegal !" she said and ran, almost tripping but looked back at them and smiled.

"THANK YOU FOR WORRING ABOUT DAEGAL" she said waving at them and ran back to the noisy beach house.

"wow, what a night" jaemin said.

"i just want to ask if you know the way to room 119?" she asked making his head turn to her side. he blinked twice and coughed when he noticed that he stared at her for a long time.

"that's my first subject too, you can follow me" he said and walked first. y/n followed him without a problem and looked around the place.

"is it also your first year here? or like you're also here during high school?" she asked but didn't receive any response to the guy. she just nodded at herself and stayed quiet.

"we're here" the guy said and entered the room. he looked around and walked to sit beside his friends.

"oh he has friends here" she murmured to herself and found herself a seat.

"oh sorry" y/n said when she accidentally bumped into someone on her way to the cafeteria. she picked the papers that were dropped and gave it to the guys he bumped into.

"so sorry, i didn't mean to bump into you" she said again while handing the papers to him but was shocked when the guy took the papers in a aggressive way.

"i said i was sorry, no need to be harsh" she said and left the guy with a frown.

'really? i said i was sorry and he took it like that. jisung is right, the people here are very awful'

she walked her way to the cafeteria with an annoyed face. she saw jisung and chenle at the entrance and pout.

"wow you're such an early girl, i thought you were flash" chenle said in an sarcastic way but notice how her face looks so he raised his brows at her.

"why are you in a pouty face? you look like a duck" jisung said, also noticed how she looks.

"well i bumped into someone on my way here and said sorry but he aggressively took the paper in my hands. i'm annoyed" she said and the two guys tapped her shoulders.

"let's just eat, so your head will cool down" chenle said and the three of them walked inside the cafeteria

"right, y/n" jisung sip his drink and look at y/n.

"what?" she asked, curious about what he was going to say.

"our school uses twitter as an update for something about school so i think you should follow them" he said to her.

"eh, but i don't want to follow anyone besides you guys" y/n said in a disappointed tone.

"i have an account i don't use, you can use it. actually, jisung also uses it for school purposes only" chenle said and y/n nodded her head.

"well thank you" she said to him and he just nodded at her.
