AWKWARD ADRIAN CHASE TRYINH TO ASK READER OUT TO BE HIS SO ON VALENTINE’s DAY BUT HES SO AWKWARD

Oblivious

Apparently everyone else except for Adrian knew you liked him.

He was so oblivious, It was insane. Every time you tried to flirt or asked to hang out, he brought Chris with him. And Chris didn’t want to go, but he was practically dragged.

And it was almost Valentine’s Day. The worst day of the year. The day you’d been dreading.

Because while everyone else would be kissing, being all cute, you’d sit there in your pajamas crying and watching TV.

You really had no hope or thought that Adrian would ever ask you out. Besides, you were on a team together. That was enough.

You told Leota and Emilia your worries, and they just looked at each other and laughed.

“You’re serious?” Leota looked at you.

“Why are you guys laughing? I’m not joking!” You said.

“Look, I don’t think you need to worry about him not liking you back.” Emilia said.

“Yeah.”

“What do you mean?”

“It’s so obvious he likes you. You both are so oblivious.” Leota said.

You thought they were messing with you for a second, so you just brushed it off and continued talking about other things. Then Chris said the same thing.

You two were simply talking at a meeting the next day, you laughed at something he said and Chris turned his head.

“Jesus Christ, are these two ever gonna ask each other out?” He muttered to anyone who was listening.

“Probably not. He’s too awkward.” Leota said.

“Wanna bet?”

“20 bucks.”

“Deal.”

After the meeting, you waved bye to him and walked over to your car.

“Hey!” Chris called your name and walked over to you.

“Oh, hi Chris.”

“Yeah, hi, so you like Adrian right?”

“Uh- what- No-“ you stuttered.

“We all know you do. Anyways, he told me that he liked you- loved you in fact. So you should ask him out.”

“Wait, really?”

“Yup.”

You thought for a moment. “Yeah. Yeah. I- uh… I will.”

He smiled widely and said bye, quickly running to Adrian as you looked at him confused. You went into your car as Chris said the exact same thing to him.

He knew you would wait for Adrian to ask you out first. But if he didn’t then you would.

“Hello 20 bucks.” Chris said, walking back to his car in victory.

The next day, the team had an off day. Adrian asked to hang out with you, and to go to the beach. It was odd to be hanging out on valentines as friends, but you didn’t mind.

You said yes, and silently hoped he wouldn’t bring Chris this time.

It was a few more days before valentines. And he planned to ask you to be his Valentine.

You both walked on the beach for a while, he stared at you the whole time in adoration.

“Hey, uh, thanks for today. I had fun.” You smiled, a part of you was upset as you were gonna walk away.

“Wait- uh, can I ask you something?” He grabbed your wrist.

“Yeah, of course.” You turned to him.

“Would you uh- would you maybe wanna…. You know what, never mind. I’m- I’m sorry-“

“No, no, what is it?”

He took a deep breath“Would you wanna maybe be my girlfriend? It’s totally fine if not and I’m sorry-“

You smiled widely “Of course I would.”

His worries immediately washed away, and so did yours.

Freckled Delight

“Where do you think you’re going?” Adrian turned around to see you leaning against the doorframe, he held his mask in his hands “Oh, Peacemaker asked me if I wanted to go blow up stuff in his yard again!” He smiles as brightly as he always has, and this still makes you fall head over heels, just as it always had. “Aren’t you forgetting something” as smirk grew on your face and his face turns into a confused and serious one. “Uh… I have my keys, and I left my wallet so I don’t lose it… again-“ you pushed yourself away from the doorframe and made your way over to him as you wrapped your arms around his neck. His face shifts back into a happy and slightly sinful look “Oh… I still don’t know what I forgot, but this is more important.” He smiles and holds your waist as your lips meet his. He smiles, even while kissing, and before you pull away you can even hear his goofy little chuckle. And though he bragged about it a lot, and I mean a lot, you always knew that he loved you. “Stay a little bit longer…?” He breathes a laugh and scratches the back of his neck “I don’t know baby, I mean… I want to, but I don’t want to leave Chris hanging, you know?” You pout “Alright, have fun Adri…” You place a small kiss on his cheek right before walking to the living room. Only a couple of minutes pass before you see the handsome, un-vigilanted man, only wearing his comfy lounge pants and putting his glasses on. He walks to his side of the couch, which is comfortably next to yours, and leans into the plush pillows. The slight touch of your shoulders together creates a blossoming embrace that allows you to put your head on his shoulder and make him go lovey. “Am I too late on the ‘stay-home’ offer?” He asked as his playful grin came back. You pretend to think “I don’t know…” you smirk before he opens room for you to shift onto him in a way that your legs can hang off the arm of the couch and touch his soft and beautiful face. You gently bury your face into his neck, as his chest rumbles with every giggle. Though, maybe something sparked inside of you that made this devilish idea pop up, but you know his weakness, and he’s right where you want him. Gradually you start kissing the individual freckles that ran along his shoulders, neck, and chest. He immediately starts shuffling and chuckling, he’s always been sensitive to tickles but nobody else knows that but you… and maybe peacemaker. “What are you doing- stop that tickles!” He laughs gentle pushing your face away from his neck before longingly gazing into you. “I love you.” He raises one of his worn yet soft hands to your face and cradles your cheek as if you were made of porcelain. “I love you too.” He leans in to claim your lips, to deliver you a tender and passionate kiss. And before you get to relax in this place, he pulls away. He smiles again before quickly tousling your hair “Wanna go blow up some stuff with me and Chris?” You smile brightly “I would love to” he quickly picks you up and lets you cling onto him like a Koala before grabbing his mask and suit to go.

(A/N): I love Adrian so much, I’m sorry it it got a little out of character 😭. P.S I wanted to do like an episode x reader thing but it ended up super cringe… I might try again though 👀❤️
