Nature of ICT Reflection

ICT or Information and Communications Technology   It highlights the importance of communication by  knowing how to share information on the Internet, Call/Text or Social media even with the use and rapid advancement of technology. It helps me in communicating with my classmates and friends for example the use of Messenger with sending and receiving information like schedules, announcements and groupings for scaffold or performance tasks.  Society uses ICT to connect anywhere and anytime in the world and the use of social media helps the voices of the social media users spread anywhere possible however this also raises issues such cyberbullying, hacking, phishing and spreading misinformation either on purpose or not.  This subject helps us in ways that are now part of our generation such as in online banking, social media and e-commerce. This also keeps me as a ABM student to be in the know of the different demands of consumers in the market trends from where they are from. It is essential as well for work performance efficiency.

Vice President Sara Duterte called for calm after a magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Sarangani, Davao Occidental, last Friday, November 17, 2023. "I myself experienced strong earthquakes when I was Davao City mayor, and it's traumatizing. We need to stay calm. Check your homes and buildings to prepare for aftershocks." Duterte said she received a report from the Office of Civil Defense and plans to meet with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council response cluster. She also mentioned when she met with Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin Friday night to assess the situation. "In calamities like this, the importance of our earthquake drills and other preparedness training becomes even more apparent," she said.

As a student, this news brings the importance of being equipped with the knowledge and readiness in the face of natural disasters. The Vice President's call for calm echoes like a scene from "San Andreas," especially relevant for students in earthquake-prone areas. It serves as a reminder of the value of drills and preparedness training conducted in schools. This occurrence is a pastiche of the event in 2019 underscoring the significance of implementing and actively participating in these safety protocols. Also, it highlights the responsibility of educational institutions to reinforce and regularly practice these measures to ensure students' safety during emergencies.

As we all know, technology is widely used by everyone. From young to old age, the use of technology is very visible in each and almost everyone’s life. We use it in school, house, work, and many more. Technology plays an important role in our lives, and it greatly impacts our society. Technology has become so ingrained in society and our daily lives, and because of it, it has given us a lot of advantages. For students like us, technology is a really great help. And just as the title has stated, we are going to discuss the advantages of technology to us students.

First, without a doubt, technology has transformed communication, ushering in a time of unmatched connectedness and convenience. The internet, smartphones, and numerous communication apps have radically changed how we communicate and engage with one another. Technology has emerged as the ultimate communication facilitator in an interconnected world, dissolving geographical barriers and providing instant, worldwide connectedness. We can communicate with friends, family, and coworkers anywhere around the world by using email, social media sites, and messaging apps. Additionally, business meetings have been reimagined because of video conferencing solutions, which enable face-to-face conversations without the restrictions of physical presence. Technology not only makes us closer, but also gives us the ability to communicate more quickly, clearly, and easily than ever before. This change in communication has led to transcended boundaries and brought people closer together, solidifying technology's indispensable role in our daily lives.

Second, technology has proven to be a powerful ally in the field of education, altering how we acquire knowledge and learn. It has demolished old barriers in education and leveled the playing field for students all across the world. Knowledge has become more available and adaptable thanks to online digital textbooks, and e-learning platforms, crossing boundaries of time and space. By enabling individualized learning, technology has allowed students to advance at their own speed and customize their educational experiences to meet their own needs. Virtual classrooms, simulations, and interactive educational apps engage students in dynamic, immersive ways that not only make learning more fun but also more successful. Technology also enables teachers to modify their lesson plans to different learners' requirements and learning styles. Essentially, technology.

Third, technology has been proven to be very powerful for research. While there are books, dictionaries, etc. where we can get materials for them, students prefer research that is available on the internet. Not only does it provide more information than the ones in the books, but it also provides a lot of information that is accessible to us with just one click. Researching on the internet is also much better than the ones we have in books because not only does it give us more options, but it also narrows down the time we spend on our research on a certain topic. Books also offer less information than what our devices offer. Technology is constantly changing, and with every change it has, all records of the past things that happened are still stored on the internet. Even though books have them, it is just much easier to access with the use of technology as it is more efficient and less time-consuming.

And lastly, technology is very useful for map navigation or Global Positioning System (GPS). It's helpful not just for students, but also for everyone. GPS helps us navigate where we currently are, and how we can go from one place to another. It also shows places that we will see along the way. This also helps us determine the best routes when we are going somewhere, to avoid traffic and use the best roads possible. At the same time, this is also really helpful for students who may have lost their way when going somewhere, as it helps them determine their current position while also knowing how to get out of there. This technology also helps us know where someone is, as long as they have access to the person's location or when it is shared with them.

In our conclusion, technology is really helpful to us students. It has a lot of advantages, especially if you know how to use it properly. Technology's advantages can vary from communication, and even up to GPS. As long as we know how to use them properly, we can use the technology to make our lives better. In this age and era, knowing technology is really beneficial for us students. It creates easier communication, access to education, research, and more to us. We believe that with the use of technology, we can make our lives easier and things will be less time-consuming to do. Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master.

June 29th, that's when araw ng Pasig is celebrated. Pasig comes alive with the Pasig Fiesta, a grand celebration in honor of the city's patron saint, San Antonio de Padua. The fiesta features a colorful procession—mostly held by Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Pasig, lively street performances, and a grand feast that brings together the community. Recently—Pasig has decided that they will held on events in front of the city hall to celebrate the day for Pasig. It's a tradition that keeps on camaraderie within this beautiful city!

Paskotitap

Paskotitap is a beloved tradition that sparkles with joy and festive spirit. It's a testament to the creativity, resourcefulness, and community spirit of Pasig's residents. As the holiday season approaches, Pasig City comes alive with the magic of Paskotitap, inviting everyone to experience the joy and wonder of this timeless tradition. The floaties that have different designs from every barangay and the events held by Pasig City every time this tradition is done! Mostly having dance and singing competitions along with concerts and raffles!

Bambino

The Bambino Festival, one of the grandest cultural celebrations of Pasig City, kicked-off on January 11-20, 2013. It is held in honor of Sto. Niño whose purity, love and innocence reflect on the lives of Pasigueños. Bambino Festival is the Pasig City’s version of Sto. Niño festivals such as Sinulog of Cebu and Dinagyang of Iloilo City. It started in January 2002. The term “Bambino” is a foreign word which means child. An energized parade would be held by the council and Sto. Niño would be held by the people of Pasig as they dance around happily—bringing people together from barangay to barangay. The community becomes one when it's Bambino!

2. Social Media-refers to digital platforms and technologies that enable users to create, share, and interact with content and connect with others online. • Six types of Social Media:

a) Social Networks - These are sites that allows you to connect with other people with the same interests or background. Once the user creates his/her account, he/she can set up a profile, add people, share content, etc.Ex. Facebook and Google

b) Bookmarking Sites - Sites that allow you to store and manage links to various website and resources. Most of the sites allow you to create a tag to others.Ex. Stumble Upon, Pinterest

c) Social News – Sites that allow users to post their own news items or links to other news sources. The users can also comment on the post and comments may also be rank.Ex. Reddit and Digg

d) Media Sharing – sites that allow you to upload and share media content like images, music and video.Ex. Flickr, YouTube and Instagram

e) Microblogging - focus on short updates from the user. Those that subscribed to the user will be able to receive these updates.Ex. Twitter and Plurk

f) Blogs and Forums - allow user to post their content. Other users are able to comment on the said topic.Ex. Blogger, WordPress and Tumblr

3. Mobile Technologies - The popularity of smartphones and tablets has taken a major rise over the years. This is largely because of the devices capability to do the tasks that were originally found in PCs. Several of these devices are capable of using a high-speed internet. Today the latest model devices use 4G Networking (LTE), which is currently the fastest.MOBILE OS

• iOS - use in apple devices such as iPhone and iPad• Android - an open source OS developed by Google. Being open source means mobile phone companies use this OS for free.

• Blackberry OS - use in blackberry devices

• Windows phone OS - A closed source and proprietary operating system developed by Microsoft.

• Symbian - the original smartphone OS. Used by Nokia devices

• Web OS- originally used in smartphone; now in smart TVs.

• Windows Mobile - developed by Microsoft for smartphones and pocket PCs

4. Assistive Media - is a non- profit service designed to help people who have visual and reading impairments. A database of audio recordings is used to read to the user.

Cloud computing- distributed computing on internet or delivery of computing service over the internet. e.g. Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail-Instead of running an e-mail program on your computer, you log in to a Web e-mail account remotely. The software and storage for your account doesn’t exist on your computer – it’s on the service’s computer cloud.It has three components

1. Client computers – clients are the device that the end user interact with cloud.

2. Distributed Servers – Often servers are in geographically different places, but server acts as if they are working next to each other.

3. Datacenters – It is collection of servers where application is placed and is accessed via Internet.

TYPES OF CLOUDS

• Public cloud - allows systems and services to be easily accessible to the general public. Public cloud may be less secured because of its openness, e.g. e-mail

• Private cloud - allows systems and services to be accessible within an organization. It offers increased security because of its private nature.

• Community cloud - allows systems and services to be accessible by group of organizations.

• Hybrid cloud - is a mixture of public and private cloud. However, the critical activities are performed using private cloud while the non-critical activities are performed using public cloud.

REAKSYON PAPEL | Pagbasa at Pagsusuri

Ang pagtuturo ng katekismo sa Dumanlas Elementary School ay isang makabuluhang karanasan na nagbigay sa amin ng pagkakataong ibahagi ang Salita ng Diyos, partikular ang Sampung Utos at ang Walong Pagpapala (Beatitudes). Ang mga aral na ito ay nagsisilbing gabay sa pamumuhay na kalugod-lugod sa Diyos. Sa pamamagitan ng karanasang ito, mas lumalim ang aking pag-unawa sa aking pananampalataya at sa kahalagahan ng pagpapalaganap ng moral at espirituwal na mga halaga sa iba.

Isa sa mga pangunahing mensahe ng katekismo ay na ang pagsunod sa mga utos ng Diyos at ang pamumuhay ayon sa mga pagpapala ay nagdudulot ng matuwid at tunay na masayang buhay. Ang Sampung Utos ay nagbibigay ng malinaw na moral na gabay, habang ang Walong Pagpapala ay nagtuturo ng kababaang-loob, habag, at katapatan sa pananampalataya. Pinalalim ng karanasang ito ang aking paniniwala na ang pananampalataya ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagsunod sa mga alituntunin, kundi tungkol din sa pagpapatibay ng personal na ugnayan sa Diyos at pakikitungo sa iba nang may pagmamahal at kabutihan.

Sa lahat ng aming tinalakay, ang Walong Pagpapala ang lubos na nakakuha ng aking pansin. Ang aral na “Mapapalad ang maaamo, sapagkat mamanahin nila ang lupa” (Mateo 5:5), ay tumatak sa akin sapagkat binibigyang-diin nito ang kahalagahan ng kababaang-loob sa mundong madalas humihikayat ng kayabangan at pansariling interes. Ipinaalala nito sa akin na ang tunay na lakas ay nagmumula sa pagiging mahinahon, matiisin, at pagtitiwala sa plano ng Diyos.

Malaki rin ang naging epekto ng mga aral na ito sa aking pang-araw-araw na buhay. Ang utos na “Huwag kang magsisinungaling” ay nagpapaalala sa akin na palaging piliin ang katotohanan, kahit sa mahihirap na sitwasyon. Samantala, ang mga pagpapala ay nagtuturo sa akin na maging mahabagin at mabait, kahit sa harap ng mga pagsubok. Ang pagsasabuhay ng mga prinsipyong ito ay tumutulong sa akin na lumago bilang isang Kristiyano at ipakita ang pagmamahal ni Kristo sa aking mga kilos.

Bukod dito, ang karanasang ito sa pagtuturo ng katekismo ay nagpakita sa akin ng tiyaga at kakayahang umangkop ng mga guro. Ang pagtuturo ay hindi lamang nangangailangan ng kaalaman kundi pati ng pasensya sa pag-unawa sa mga mag-aaral at kakayahang makibagay sa anumang sitwasyon. Sa aking obserbasyon, nananatiling kalmado ang aming mga guro sa kabila ng kakulitan ng mga mag-aaral at ipinapakita nila ang patas at mabuting pakikitungo sa lahat. Nagbigay ito sa akin ng mas malalim na respeto sa mga guro, hindi lamang sa ating bansa kundi sa buong mundo, dahil sa kanilang dedikasyon at malasakit sa paghubog ng isipan at ugali ng kabataan.

Sa paraan ng pagtuturo, naging makabuluhan at epektibo ang karanasan. Gayunpaman, naniniwala akong mas mapapabuti pa ito sa pamamagitan ng mas maraming interaktibong aktibidad tulad ng role-playing o pagsasadula ng mga kwento upang mas mailapit sa mga mag-aaral ang mga aral ng pananampalataya. We can deduce that the severance procedure preserves the outie’s procedural memory, emotional conditioning, and non-autobiographical semantic memory. The innies can remember how to do procedural tasks like driving a car, they tend to have similar baseline emotional attitudes, negative emotions from their outies can carry over, and they can recall objective information about the world. It’s only autobiographical information and episodic memory that the innie is cut off from.

(Interestingly, the outies are, comparatively, cut off from more types of memory than their innies are. The outies don’t appear to be able to access semantic information or procedural memory from their innies; which makes sense, because otherwise they’d know way too much about what Lumon was up to).

We see in early season 2 that innie Irving has leaned into his existing procedural memory for artistic expression. The combination of drawing (his outie’s procedural memory) and the subject being Burt (an explicit visual memory and emotional trigger only innie Irving has access to) is essentially combining memory and brain functions that originate from both the outie and innie. Pairing them together strengthens the possibility for Irving’s two separate brain patterns to begin to overlap and coalesce.

The questions Reghabi asks Mark while reintegrating him point to this canonically being a relevant part of the reintegration process. She switches between questions about autobiographical information (what color were your mother’s eyes? an explicit episodic memory) to objective semantic memory (name a dam, what does MDR stand for) emotional conditioning (what is something for which you feel shame) and back again.
