Decepticons Meets Sparklings

●When coming across a signal, it was a medium-sized cylinder pod that reaches up to Megatron's *Clears throat* snatchable slutty waist- WOAH! Who said that? ●Anyways, a group of Vehicons managed to bring the pod back to the Nemesis before the Autobots could arrive. No one on the Nemesis knew what it could be, so the Vehicons made bets as to what it is. Is it a bomb? A shield that can stop an enemy from attacking? A sword that can control your opponents against their will for the rest of eternity? Definitely not 5t3v3's lame sparkling theory! ●When they opened it up, they found... 7 sparklings? 5t3v3 will forever and always rub it in the face plates of the Vehicons who doubted him. ●Some of the crew thought that this was a waste, but Megatron had an idea. If this war continues far longer than it should, they will have Younger Decepticons continuing their legacy, defeating the Autobots that have grown old, ensuring the Decepticons victory! ●So, the Decepticons were split among the crew.

Megatron

●Of course, he picked the one that was aggressive and looked the toughest out of the eight. He wasn't going to have an heir that was weak and pathetic. How he did this you ask? Simple. The one that bit Starscream's finger and wouldn't let go no matter how hard Starscream swung him around. ●Would definitely teach his sparkling how to swear, even having his kid's first word be a bad word. It's basically that one scene in Steven Universe where Peridot was trying to get Pumpkin to say "Clod". ●If he had somewhere to be, or just fight Optimus, he would let Soundwave babysit, he trusts his T.I.C. with anything. There's no way he's letting that incompetent seeker watch over his adopted child. ●He would name the sparkling Sunburst; a mighty name for his mighty sparkling to strike fear into his future enemies! ●Would teach his sparkling everything there is to know about fighting from his glory days in the Pits of Kaon as a gladiator

Starscream

●He would be last to choose, unfortunately, and get the runt of the litter. But that's fine, he can work with this. ●He would try to teach the sparkling to say "All hail Lord Starscream". The sparkling would end up calling him Sire. Starscream wouldn't act impressed in public, but in private, he would be squealing with joy; He's already, unintentionally grown attached to his sparkling. ●The bot he would allow to babysit his sparkling would be a Vehicon, mainly 5teve. ●The name he would give his sparkling would probably be Thundercracker or Skywarp, something to remind him of his old trine mates. ●Would try to push his sparkling to be better than Megatron, which would unknowingly put a strain in his relationship with his sparkling because, to his sparkling, nothing he does is ever good enough for his sire

Shockwave

●Finds Lord Megatron's reason to be... logical ●Would be the one to instantly find out which would be best for him. Don't question his methods ●Would name the sparkling Prodigy ●Will teach his sparkling all about the logics of science. Anything that his sparkling does that goes beyond the knowledge of science, proves something of his illogical, or both... he would be so proud. What is this emotion? Pride and joy? Logical. ●Would trust Predaking and or Soundwave to babysit his sparkling

Soundwave

●Others might not see it, but Soundwave would pick one that strangely looks similar to two of his old minicons Rumble and Frenzy. ●Would be the most overprotective of his sparkling. Sparkling gone from his quarters? He knows where he is; wandering the halls and is close by. His spark swells when he finds out that the reason for his sparkling's escapades is because the sparkling was looking for his sire: Soundwave! ●Would be recording and photographing his sparkling's milestones and accomplishments ●The sparkling's name would be Hightop ●Would trust Lord Megatron, Shockwave, or Knockout with babysitting his sparkling

Predaking

●This one was the closest to dying and required an Energon transfusion, and Predaking volunteered. Luckily, the sparkling survived, and because the sparkling now has Predaking's Energon, not only are they related by blood, as humans say, but now the sparkling has grown Predacon features. ●Predaking was glad to have a Predacon that wasn't made in a lab this time. He made sure his sparkling was by his side until it can do things on it's own. ●The sparkling's name would be Inferno because it can transform into something that was Phoenix shaped along with abilities. ●He will tear Starscream a new one if he'd dare lay servos on his sparkling. ●Predaking would trust Knockout, Breakdown, Shockwave, and/or Dreadwing to babysit

Knockout & Breakdown

●Knockout would pick one that was better looking than the others, and Breakdown had no say in this, but didn't complain. He knew better. ●Would act the most like real parents because they always wanted a sparkling. ●They would named the sparkling Wildbreak. ●Breakdown will trust Dreadwing to babysit his sparkling, and Knockout would trust the Vehicons. If anything bad happens to his sparkling, he wouldn't repair any Vehicons as punishment, his words not mine. ●Knockout and Breakdown will always take pictures and/or record milestones or adorable moments with their sparkling: His first words, first steps, first friend, first fight and won, etc. Next thing you know, he gets a Conjunx Endura-

5t3v3 & Other Vehicons

●Since he called it, he called dibs on being the sire ●Spends every waking moment hanging out with his sparkling, playing games, spending time together, worries that he isn't doing a good job, only for those thoughts to completely disappear when his sparkling's first word is sire, goes towards him when attempting to walk, always goes, and cries for him when the sparkling gets a nightmare. ●Would do anything for his sparkling to ensure it's safety ●When looking for a babysitter, 5t3v3 would have one of the sparkling's Vehicon Uncles take care of it if he's on duty. He wouldn't take them with him because what if the Autobots show up, kill him, and take his sparkling away? No. No way! ●The sparkling's name would be Meteoroid

I believe I’ve mentioned this before in a post but by now it’s lost to time, so as another blog who has issues with the Megatron redemption thing being very flat:

I wish Earthspark had taken the same route as Steven Universe’s did on Rose/Pink Diamond but with Megatron, the younger members of cast who have only ever known this ‘good’ version of them get to slowly learn new things and experience his redemption in reverse.

All the older bots they know like Elita and Bee and Optimus all get along so well with Megatron except for minor things, so to them it would likely be hard to imagine it could be THAT bad. Even hearing from other Decepticons how he used to be could’ve been interesting and they half-way opened the door to that possibility with the Starscream arc and then slammed it shut by making Starscream so much worse.

Thinking of it from a kid/teen perspective like the terrans, Starscream described him as cruel and how he rules with fear. Hashtag sort of gets an understanding that Megatron didn’t exactly risk his ass for a soldier who was left behind, and yeah that all sounds pretty (vaguely) cold and cruel, but then Starscream rips the life out of two children right in front of them rather maliciously. They’re probably gonna have Starscream as the worst of the two from their views. Like everything he non-descriptively told them about Megatron is gonna pale in comparison to the trauma he just caused them.

(On a side note, I saw a clip from season 3 where Starscream is sitting trapped in the dome having propped up the chaos Terran’s bodies and that’s not really taken as something horrific? Like they all blatantly ignore Starscream as if he poses no threat and the terrans aren’t even a LITTLE disturbed or angry with him? Theyre all just sighing and rolling their eyes??? Pls PICK A TONE they never seem to portray anyone the same way twice whyyyy.)

Focus on Megatron backstory being revealed to the terrans is always so weird and passive. Like them seeing an earlier version of him in that training simulator wasn’t enough for me. I’m not saying ‘traumatize the kids’ cause that’s mean, but like idk an old war story from an oblivious autobot who hasn’t been in touch with the others! That’s an easy option! There’s so many ways and they didn’t utilize it they just… RGH I’m no good with words sorry it’s just so many wasted opportunities and ill-planned plots.

The thing about the "old war story from an Autobot who hasn't been in touch" option is. They literally had the opportunity to do that in S3. Because they introduced Prowl, who had no idea Megatron changed sides, didn't trust him, and didn't like the Autobots relying on kids. So like. He was literally the perfect character to be uncomfortable with how much the kids trust Megatron and want to talk to them about it. And not only did S3 not do that, it ended with Prowl and Megatron on good terms, so they actually removed the possibility of it coming up later (Prowl also decided relying on kids is fine, actually. Mostly I liked how EarthSpark handled him, but they wasted no time forcing the worst parts of the status quo on him).

I'm not super familiar with Steven Universe (mostly I just watched a few Peridot episodes), so I don't know how they built up the reveal with Rose, but I feel like SU is a perfect example of why Megatron's redemption doesn't work. Rose/Pink Diamond was at the top of her society, and when she changed, so did everything around her. She was one of the most important characters in the story while being dead.

Meanwhile, Megatron is just kind of... There? Sure, you have one-off episodes like Shockwave's and Soundwave's debuts where they were specifically mad at Megatron for betraying them, but his redemption doesn't serve the narrative at all. None of the other Decepticons went with him when he defected, there's no evidence that he tried to end the war through negotiation, none of the Autobots have any lingering mistrust. His defection changed nothing, and if the war had ended because of his death instead, you could tell the exact same story by just modifying a few episodes.

And yeah, you have people who'll say it doesn't matter because the story is about the kids, not the legacy characters, but we're talking about the leader of the Decepticons. You don't just redeem the leader of the enemy faction and handle him the way you would handle a random low-ranking soldier.

Honestly, I don't think anything short of a complete rewrite of his character and his impact on the story would fix his redemption. At very least, you'd need to revert back to S1 Starscream, because making the victim worse than his abuser is the surest way to ruin a redemption for me. Just come right out and say the abuse was justified, why don't you.

(You also have people who'll say there's no evidence that Megatron abused Starscream in EarthSpark. I assume those people just kind of ignore Starscream explicitly saying he's not safe around Megatron).

I’m making a Transformers x Steven universe au but I need help and inspo :3

So I’ve been making this au for a while but here’s my ideas characters

• The bot malto kids as Steven and I’d say the human malto kids as connie(family relationship instead of love interest bc that’s automatically gross because they’re all children and siblings)

• Arcee as amethyst

• Elita-1/Ariel as Pearl

• Drift and ratchet as Garnet

• megatron as Greg(still in deciding)

• Wasp as peridot(still in deciding)

I need help with the designs and story, I want to have fun with it and I want other people to have fun with me because I’m sure there’s at least a few people who like both transformers and Steven universe, I think it would be fun to draw them and all that but I still have a lot of decisions to make for this and i might redraw scenes just for the fun of it.

Well, get ready for AMETHYST. We found out about her because of the Boop meter on Halloween! Or well, technically the night before. She FRONTED during it and was absolutely spamming one of our mutuals. We basically play fought over control 😭 /lh.

Apparently she had been here days prior, our earliest recollection of her is when Pearl was talking to her (and, at the time, I wasn't aware Amethyst was there so I was confused).

9 and 13!

Okay, this ended up being a fun combination of folks who I think would get along. You know both of them already, but whatever :D

9 - Charlie Charleston

Charlie (actual first name Nigel, but he never uses it) is from the first group of OCs that I got properly invested in, and a story that I really will go back to one of these days. He's a freighter ship captain/pilot in the space future, and he's fond of bad jokes, luridly brightly coloured woolly jumpers, spaceships, and his cat called Electromagnet. (Maggie for short, Electromargaret for long. She appeared on his ship one day, days out of port, and just stuck around, hence the name.) He's also the life partner of his story's protagonist, one Alastair Hayashi, who's an exploration pilot and thus kind of the space future equivalent of an astronaut. Charlie's part of the spacer culture, which is made up of large and complicated extended families who crew freighter ships, and pretty much spend their whole lives in space without having much to do with planets. He has three parents, a large number of siblings and other relatives, and a deep and abiding interest in other people and new friends.

A lot of my OCs start out as two or more pre-existing characters that I like smashed together, and Charlie started out as a combination of Wash from Firefly and Johnny from Killjoys, and he's just generally a really solid dude who's a lot of fun to be around. And has one heck of a time when his partner gets abducted by aliens that no one knew existed until That happened, and then just as he's coming to terms with that he ends up having to help expose a conspiracy and also help prevent a war. Fun times for Charlie!

This is pretty old art (yikes, like 7 years old at this point? wow), but here he is:

13 - Patch

Patch (they/them) is from Red Shift Blue Shift, which you can find out more about over here: @redshiftblueshiftcomic! (Ignore the lack of blog activity, the story is still very much cooking behind the scenes, we've just not had a lot of time to work on postable stuff for it.)

But in summary, Patch is a robot who was originally built for spaceship repair but ended up having to do a lot of odd jobs over the years and has updated and improved their own systems with all manner of new skills. They're endlessly curious, trying their best to figure out how humans work, and still adjusting to the fact that they were built as one of the last generations of bot before AI people were legally recognised as sapient and have only recently gotten out of a situation where they were still being used and treated as a tool not a person. They've got six arms in total (all telescopic), rocket feet, and have enthusiastically taken to the idea of clothes Exclusively as a means of having a large number of pockets. Their main priority in life in fixing things, and they might not always know how to help but they'll do their best to figure it out. (Although, as of yet, no one has let them try out the organic brain surgery skills they downloaded just in case they came in handy, and they'd have to admit they're a little disappointed about this.)

Patch is based on three different green-themed robot-related nerds with names beginning with P - Penny from RWBY, Peridot from Steven Universe, and Pidge from Voltron: Legendary Defender.

[Start ID. A drawing of a Mindflayer and a Streetcleaner from Ultrakill, which the artist refers to as Radium and Burnet respectively, talking in a mall which is in no way canon-compliant. The palette is relatively saturated, dark, and eclectic, biased towards a reddish purple. Radium is dressed in a teal blazer, jeans, a studded belt and silver jewelry, and they hold up an unpurchased black shirt to Burnet: an anatomically correct heart and the word "SOUL" are partly visible on the front of the tee, printed red. They appear to ask if they should buy the shirt for a Mannequin friend. Burnet, in nothing but a sun-embroidered pair of overalls and a gold piercing through zier dragon-like frill, seems to love the idea, gesturing with zier hand excitedly. Among the mall's stores are numerous parodies of and references to Ultrakill itself, along with sights such as a gathering of post-shopping Virtues and an enraged Mindflayer chasing down a fleeing V1. •Rubellite- Fan (Keeps an eye on homeworld log dates)

•Golden Spinel- Cheesy (Entertainer, built to be your "best friend")

•Silver- Nickel (Observes gem production, makes sure they have good resources to come out properly, can fight if needed)

•Fine Silver- Silver Spoon (ONLY observes and does analysis on gem creation, works along Silver/Nickel, makes sure they look polished)

•Lavander Sapphire- Candle (Future Vissiooonnn)

•Red Thulite- Balloon (deemed useless, a soldier gem)

•Bronzite- Suitcase (manages materials that are carried within injectors to other planets for gem production and colony starters, often around Silver/Nickel)

•Bi-Colour Tourmaline- Baseball (Can heal, manages grouping and escorting newly made gems)

•Pink Kunzite- Bow (Communicator, works with signals that connect to other colonies)

•Vivianite- Tissues (Simple gem, doesn't do much, usually observes other gem activities)

•Yellow Kunzite- Dough (Random guard, quite lazy)

•Actinolite- Pickle (Messenger boy, delivers important info)

•Bloodstone- Taco (Former messenger girl that worked with Actinolite, now turned rebel)

•Howlite- Marshmellow (Calm gem, works around the human zoo sometimes, rare gem)

•Red Beryl- Apple (Gem warrior, often accompanying Howlite)

•Citrine- OJ (Public speaker, always talking with White Zircon)

•White Zircon- Paper (Lawyer Gem)

•Hypersthene- Microphone (Usually a gem that replaces other gems, a substitute you could say)

•Pink Chalcedony- Soap (Homeworld's official cleaner, friends with Hyperstene)

•White Selenite- Salt (works with Grey Selenite, works around the reef where pearls are made)

•Grey Selenite- Pepper (helps White Selenite with working around the reef)

•Black Druzy Quartz- Bomb (quartz that specializes in explosive manufacturing)

•Fused red spinel- Cherries (entertainer)

•Conjoined Psilomelane (black & white)- Yin-Yang (observes activities along with Vivianite, talks with conjoined red spinel often)

•Yellow Jasper- Trophy (Quartz soldier)

•Periwinkle Tanzanite- Cabby (Has information and reports on all gems, their activity and general state)

•Kunzite 2.0 (later they gave themselves the identity of Prehnite)- Bot (Does what Kunzite was supposed to do, before they found out they weren't really her, they were just a robotic body with Kunzite's gem shards added in, so they developed their own identity later and now they work along with Periwinkle Tanzanite)

•Bubbled/Corrupted Smoky Quartz- Box (former quartz soldier)

•Zebra Jasper- Knife (Quartz soldier)

•Green Sapphire- Clover (Brings good predictions with her future vision)

•Kaolinite- Tea Kettle (Brings good morale and compassion to fighter and soldier gems)

•Cinnabar- Lifering (Specializes in gem care and fighting)

•Benitoite- Blueberry (the diamonds don't know what to do with him so he just kinda, sticks around)

Idk about Goo and Floory yet tho.
