ADHD WIN! Meal actually tastes way better lazily microwaved instead of, like, prepared and cooked
#ok to rb#i made the most god awful pesto shrimp alfredo linguini thing yesterday#it was another 'leftovers as ingredients' meal#where i see what leftovers we have in the fridge and cook with whatever it is#yesterday it was pesto/corn/shrimp/alfredo sauce only#so i put it all together with pasta#because pasta is great for leftover meals. just toss shit in with noodles and you're usually good to go#um. it was Bad.#hella wet. like unsettlingly wet. i don't know where the wet came from#but it was worryingly wet. even for pasta#but microwaving it again today seems to have. like. congealed it but in a good way#and it slapped and had the perfect consistency when microwaved#so yay for that i guess#food tw

i had some fresh basil from the farmer's market that i had to use up and also had some fresh garlic scapes so of course we're talking pesto but literally the only pasta in my home was gluten free lasagna noodles and i was like hmmmmm???
but what a fool i was, when all this time, i could have been enjoying pesto lasagna!!!! it's so good!!! i also added sauteed summer squash in there. perfect summer lasagna.

Had cereal for dinner cuz my dad decided to save the leftover spaghetti from last night and ugh I hate spaghetti 🤢
#I hate spaghetti cuz my parents made it so much during the first year of the pandemic#and they use a lot of marinara sauce too and now I’m grossed out by marinara sauce 🤢#I wish and I tell them why not try a different sauce like alfredo or pesto#or even use a different protein instead of ground beef like shrimp#but they all hate Alfredo sauce and don’t want pesto cuz it’s expensive#god whenever I can afford my own place I’ll be happy to cook different things and learn how to cook all sorts of food/dishes#squid sister says stuff

My statement is they should stop selling jarred pesto it always sucks ass and homemade is always 1000× better
