THANK YOU MOOTIE !!! bit of a long-winded tutorial so bear w me ....

so you wanna look up " mask icon " on pinterest and pick the border u like !! MAKE SURE ITS BLACK AND WHITE

then take the imagine into ibispaint !!! press the plus button and then import picture !!! click on the layer button ( the three overlapping squares on the bottom ) and then click the three dots on the bottom of the righthand column !! once there , select " clear white ( color ) " and that should make it transparent !!

then , in that same layer screen , click on the camera icon on the left and add the image you want to be in the border ! once you add that , position it how you want and click the button on the bottom that says " clipping " !!

don't forget to save the image as a transparent png or it won't work !! hope this could help you !!!

How do i Make Icon masks (Tutorial)

I USE ALIGHT MOTION!! you can actually create icon masks on ibispaint or other app i just use alight motion beacuse thats where im more comfortable in, i havent do icon masks for month so i was curious about making tutorial

Did you draw your own pfp? If so, how did you color it? Especially the lineart. It's so pretty!

aww thank you! i'm so glad you noticed! yes, i made the pfp myself :)) it's my favorite character of all times ;w; Allen Walker from D. Gray man! here's the full work!

i colored the lineart and changed the layermode to Multiply, i also duplicated the lineart and set it under the Multiply layer then gave it a layermode of Colorburn! this gives it a crispy color in my case (but you can always play around with colors and different layermodes to get the best effect which different from each drawing, in my case it just happened to be this) I like duplicating line arts and changing their colors/layermodes when i play around :))

i used mostly flat colors but added slight hue variations along with a simple shadowing! I only have one value for the shadows but instead of using a single color, i used different colors with the same value to give it a more colorful and lively look:

for example, when i turn everything into black and white, you can see that the fur has only 1 value in terms of shading but in reality i used different colors that have similar values to make it livelier!

where'd you get your tumblr url from?

In all honesty, as much as I wish I could say I have some kind of cool lore drop behind my URL, I don't since when I made this account I wasn't actually anticipating being consumed into Tumblr culture (as much as I was). The original plan was to just be a random spectator, so not much thought was put into the branding. Foxes are orange, so was the aroace flag, that was about the extent of my thoughts. I just hit randomize and looked the one I thought was the silliest, saw this one and felt the stars align. I have considered changing it to something a bit more personalized (and I've considered changing my pfp to something related to my URL), but at this point? It's kinda part of my Tumblr life??? Y'know? I can't go back now!

No there isn't any kind of plan for an ending and even if there were, it would probably not be very coherent.

It's basically impossible to actually organise all the people here to do something together.

But this does raise a point. What happens when we milk every possibility, when a blog for every conceivable game mechanic/NPC/related person is created?

I don't think anyone has an answer to that and we're also probably far enough away from such a thing that we don't need to care about it.

have you seen those pfps where its a transparent background (like mine) and want to do that? its easy! just use a png w a transparent background (find them @snailspng , @png-heaven , etc!) and just use that image. its super easy :)

Fucks sake people block and report these fucking users idc if you potentially shoot dead new users when a blog w/o icon follows you, that is tumblrs problem! Not yours!

But i'm fucking tired of getting these every other day just bc someone probably didn't block and report them!

The fact that new users are guided to follow new blogs before setting a pfp is really not your problem! @staff needs to fix that on their own. But i'm not in the mood to get these spam messages day after day just bc someone was scared of blocking and reporting a new user!
