Diluc to me loves like a cat. His affection is earned not given. He won’t cozy up to anyone nor welcome people so easily. So it takes a genuine and sincere person to earn his trust and heart. And once you have it that’s when he is affectionate. Like a stray cat rehabilitated he seeks your body because its comforting to him. He’s protective over you because he knows how easily he could lose someone. He knows how quickly things can sour. Overtime he becomes more affectionate in a calm sense. The ideal cuddles for him is on the couch in front of the fireplace, or in-bed after a long day of work. But he also enjoys just having you around or being in the same room as him.

Kaeya is similar to Diluc although he takes more to trust someone. He has a tendency to push someone away when it comes to romantic relationships. He knows he’s in a tough spot and a relationship will complicate things. He already lost both families he’s had too could he really risk losing another? For Kaeay however he indulges more in affections simply because he’s still weak in the heart. He struggles to fully commit to his decisions regarding this. To get into his heart you would have to be a cunning thief and a charming one too. But even so he’d struggle to admit defeat or truly embrace you. Even though he wants nothing more than to melt into your hold. So he shows it by being in the same room and quality time. Keeping you at arm’s length as he knows if you touch him gently he’ll melt.

Itto loves like a dog. A dog that is hyper and destructive. He gets angry easily but he also isn’t violent. He just has a defensive side to him is all. But he loves to hug and be hugged. Although when it comes to someone special he loves it even more. To the point he acts like a koala stuck to their side at times. Although Itto is difficult to court because he’s so friendly and open that he doesn’t recognize when its done with romantic intent. But he’s very loyal and very kind. He will save up to get you a hairpin or trinket you want. He would gladly leap to your defense at any opportunity with a fierceness you would only see then. He is a very passionate man and if you’ve gotten this far then clearly you aren’t against it.

Thoma is kind of like a dog too but not like Itto. He is a bit shy when it comes to physical touch. He’s friendly otherwise though. He’s not unsocialable at all. But he shows a different side with you when you’re alone. He shows you only the fiercest of loyalty and devotion. Nothing less than the best for you. He loves through service and favors so when you return them he’s very happy.

Ayato however loves like a cat. He doesn’t show it. He doesn’t let you know directly. If he loves you its because you won’t know because he’ll spend awhile deciding what to do next. He has alot on his plate and alot of standards to uphold. But he still enjoys your company and support. As he comes up with a plan to go through with your relationship with the less chances of complications or interference he’s still not overtly touchy. His hand may rest on yours, or your hip gently. He’ll leave a kiss on your cheek and maybe on your lips. But cuddling is almost always done at night when he’s resting, in which he holds you close to him.

Lyney loves like a cat if the cat had social anxiety. When he loves someone he clings to them. He protects them and worries when they’re out of sight. He’ll never admit it though unless needed. But he’s quite willing to cuddle at any hour granted he has nothing else to do. He also just feels more relaxed and comfortable with you near.

Thoma will definitely take you to feed the stray animals of Inazuma City weekly. You really get to see his nurturing side come out then with the animals. It almost hurts to watch him, he’s just so sweet.

Physically touchy, but not physically affectionate

Tighnari

Though it can’t be said that he’s a physically affectionate person, Tighnari is more touchy than most. Having an ill student, as well as the many foolish scholars and adventurers that enter the forest, Tighnari is used to taking care of people. He sees no qualms in coming close to take your temperature or the pulse upon your wrist. If you can’t sit still, he will ignore your protests as he takes you by the shoulders and guides you back to your home for a good rest.

But this touchiness is not limited to health matters. He really isn’t aware of it either. When he’s pointing out interesting characteristics of fungi, he’ll stand right by your side, shoulders pressed against yours. When you show him something interesting in a book you read, he’ll peer over your shoulders, with his warmth against your back. He will not hesitate to pat you on the head if you did a good job or a thwack with a roll of paper if you did bad. He sees no problems in it at all.

He notices if you have a slight obsession with his ears or tail. He can’t help but feel a bit of pride when he does. He takes good care of his fur, after all. But if you’re too scared to ask to touch them, eventually he’ll simply take your hands to place them on his ears and tail himself. Your dilly-dallying is much too painful for him to watch. You really should try to be more honest. He doesn’t bite. And maybe he does want you to fawn over him. Just a little.

After entering a relationship with him, though, don’t expect him to change much. He is not the type that particularly needs to hold your hand or hug you close. He doesn’t feel the urge to pull you near when you walk side by side. It’s not that he’s averse to physical affection. He simply does not need it like most. Still, if you require high amounts of physical affection, he sees no trouble in giving in. As a caretaker, he very well knows the importance of physical touch for mental health. In fact, if he notices you’re a bit more drained than usual, you can very well expect him to indulge you more than usual.

Not physically touchy, but physically affectionate

Despite being from one of the physically touchiest nations in Teyvat, even to close friends, Thoma keeps his distance. He wasn’t originally this way, though. It was only upon moving to Inazuma that he changed. Being that Inazumans are typically more reserved than most, Thoma learned how to adapt. It shows in his actions. Even to people who are interested in him, Thoma very deliberately puts up a boundary. He is very aware of social standings and knows the damages giving into his more touchy side can incur. He will not let anything, especially himself, bring shame to his lord and lady.

As much as he was able to adapt, refraining from touch isn’t easy for Thoma. Though he’s gotten used to and solidified within himself his resolve to stay in Inazuma, sometimes he finds himself longing for the warmth of his childhood home. Long gone are the hugs and kisses from his mother and the wrestling with his neighbors. Only within memories exist watching the sunsets shoulder to shoulder with his friends.

Falling for you was like breaking the dam he held within himself for so long. He finds himself sitting close to you, much closer than he does anyone else. When walking side by side, his hand takes yours without conscious thought. He even forgets himself sometimes in public, pulling you into his arms before he can even realize it when you make him laugh, much to the dismay of the more reserved Inazuman crowd. He can't help it. You just bring out that side of him.

Being with you, the walls of propriety he built so high begin to crumble. With you, it’s okay for him to indulge in the warmth of his roots. With you, it feels like home, the one he’s missed for so long.

To be brutally honest, Jason would not be comfortable with a tactile person whose touches carry sexual undertones. Perhaps if such things only began occur later in the relationship, he might get used to it in small quantities.

It would take some time for him to be okay with innocent touching in a relationship, so flirty touching would be an absolute no-no.

Let’s face it – Jason might not be the perfect match for someone who is overly flirty in general and likes to flirt by touching.

Bubba Sawyer

Bubba is quite a tactile person himself and loves that you are, too! He enjoys expressing his affection towards other people by touching them. His brothers (and people in general) do not always appreciate it, though.

Bubba grew up loved and cared for, but he didn’t receive a lot of physical affection. Living in relative isolation with his brothers has left him severely touch-starved, so he isn’t going to avoid your approaches.

Bubba often takes your tactile behaviour at face value, oblivious to the flirtatious intent behind your actions. He thinks you’re just an affectionate person who behaves in a tactile manner with everyone.

It’s only when your hands travel down to grab his ass or you press your hand against the front of his pants that he realises you might have a goal other than innocent touching.

Thomas wants to put up a prude front when any member of his family is around. Sex is not a taboo subject in the Hewitt household, but Thomas would rather keep up innocent appearances when it comes to his family.

That doesn’t mean that he finds your flirty behaviour at all off-putting or a nuisance. In fact, he enjoys it very much whenever you two are in private and you display your affection and desire by getting handsy with him.

If you’re the quick-witted type and excel at double entendre, Thomas would be okay with some suggestive remarks in social settings, as well. As long as you make sure the suggestive undertones are ambiguous enough to fly under Luda May’s radar.

Brahms is likely the most touch-starved of the bunch, and he will take whatever physical contact he can get from you. It doesn’t care if it’s a friendly hand on the shoulder, suggestive squeezing of his ass, or a well-deserved slap to his face. He will take whatever you give him, and ask for more.

Because you’re stuck with him (whether you like it or not), Brahms thinks that it’s not necessary for you to flirt with him in order to get him into bed or the like. In your relationship, flirting carries a more humorous intent – a sign that you’re comfortable enough to joke about sexy topics with Brahms.

Whenever you go into flirty mode, Brahms will reciprocate in kind. For him, it’s more a game of which one of you can find more excuses to touch the other, and the more private the area, the better.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Thomas starts as somewhat distant or stiff when it comes to affection. He isn’t used to giving it or receiving it, but he loves physical touch. After the two of you grow more comfortable in your relationship he will be a lot more willing to give and receive affection. He mainly shows affection through physical touch, like hugs, holding hands, etc.

 B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

He’s a quiet but very loyal friend. If you a truly his friend, he would raise hell for you if you were ever hurt or used by anyone. Not much of a talker but a great listener. You most likely met through work, maybe you got a job the same place as him? It took a long time of you talking to him and just being nice for the friendship to bloom.

 C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Thomas likes cuddles, though hes somewhat shy about it in the beginning. Please cuddle into his side and place your head on his chest, he loves it.

I think Thomas would like to settle down at some point, if possible, that is. With his face and his less than blood free background. I think he would want to live away from too many people and just enjoy his time with you.

Depends, if it was because you did something horrible, he would just break it off with little to no emotion. If it was for other reasons, he would start to grow more distant from you until he finally tells you.

He would enjoy being married, but he’s also not one to rush those types of things. He gives it as much time as the two of you need, and its probably you who proposes in the end.

With you he is very gentle, knowing what he can do with his hands. He struggles with his emotions but tries his best for you.

He likes hugs, though he might have been somewhat stiff and awkward about it in the beginning since he’s not used to being hugged. Later on he just wraps around you like a big teddy bear and holds you.

It would take a while, and you most likely say it first. He would have thought it long before that but struggle to tell you.

 J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He doesn’t get as jealous as other slashers, but he does treasure you and get somewhat jealous if others look at you with too much interest or try and flirt with you. He goes more quiet than usual and either grows more distant or move touchy, like holding you a little tighter or standing right up against your back.

 K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Thomas doesn’t kiss a lot because he has his mask on, but his kisses are a little clumsy, but he has the enthusiasm. He learns over time and gets pretty good at it, so its like a real treat when he pulls the mask off to kiss you. He loves when you kiss his neck or ears. He loves to kiss your hands or forehead.

 L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

I think Thomas would be great with kids, if they weren’t scared of him. He would be scared of hurting them but would loosen up and end up playing with them, or just chilling with the more calm kids and maybe do some crafts.

 M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Thomas is the first to wake no matter how late he went to bed, but he likes to stay in bed and cuddle with you. He isn’t the greatest cook so hed probably just end up bringing you something to drink if he had to go to the bathroom or something.

 N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights are spent cuddling but I think he falls asleep pretty quickly. In the beginning he always stayed awake until you fell asleep first, but now that he has grown more comfortable, he knocks out like a light when he’s in your arms.

 O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Thomas isn’t one to talk about himself that much, he would rather hear you talk. But you might pick up bits and pieces as time passes, and he might tell you some of it.

He is pretty patient in general I think, but when he’s angry you better run for your life.

He tries his best to remember important things and dates, even writes some of them down in his calendar. But he doesn’t remember the smaller details or things you’ve only mentioned once or twice.

The many times you have never judged him for wearing a mask and never pushed him to take it off or change who he is. He might have made you a mask too if you’re comfortable with that, so you wearing that is also a good memory.

 S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Thomas is a protective lover, mainly because he’s scared of losing you. He has no problem of you being protective of him too, he might even be flattered.

 T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He tries his best at dates, even doing stereotypical stuff like going for walks on the beach and bringing you flowers. Thomas always gets you a little something for anniversaries. Even if it’s just something small.

He most definitely sees himself as a monster or disgusting, or thinks of something as someone way below your league especially because of his eating habits. There are times he will spend hours just staring at himself in the mirror after work and hate what he sees, or times where he flinches away from your touch because he’s scared of hurting you.

Thomas does not care about his looks, though he might keep himself somewhat presentable just for you.

Yes, Thomas would feel empty or like something is missing when away from you for too long. He loves to stay close to you since you make him feel so warm and loved.

Thomas likes to crochet, it helps him calm down and help him keep his mind focused on one thing so his mind doesn’t start to wander. He has crocheted flowers and tiny animals into the collar of your jacket and the sleeves.

He doesn’t like people who judge others based on appearance, since he has some experience with that. He also doesn’t like sour candy.

And he sits there… gazing and admiring the way your hair has swept up and brushed over your face and shoulders. For a second, Kazuha notices your ruffled and rather loose clothing. Yet, he sighs and smiles, taking in the peaceful look of your sleeping self. He doesn’t feel flustered, per say—but he’s definitely taken aback. In one sense, he is worried. Wondering “Is she sleeping well” or “Did something at the academy happen today?”

But on the other hand… he can’t help but just look at you. Eyes wandering to every part of your body—not in any lustful or longing manner. He takes note of the folds of your oversized shirt… and the way your hand was gently up, resting on his chest as you lay on your side.

Alright, now Xiao and you have agreed that a lot of touchy-feely stuff isn’t really his sort of thing. And you know what—you think that’s fine. But every so often when you’re alone, you’ll gradually brush your hand against his more often… and after a couple of days, Xiao would have gotten used to the immediate instinct of wanting to grab your hand.

Funny, the first time he did, he accidentally grabbed your hand as if he was going to disarm you, and recoiled back in so much guilt. You were fine, really! Since your job conditions cause you to undergo intense training of sorts, you’re used to a strong grip. But Xiao curled up in a ball in layers of blankets just mumbling:

“No… please don’t get any closer.”

And yet, the only thing you did was pull him closer, saying that everything was alright. Still being fresh in your relationship, for him to get used to being touched and physically affectionate is a lot to take in. So, one day, you were both on the couch—laying your head in his lap as you both are talking about your day at work—your eyes so happened to catch the better of you that evening when he was home early.

“It was peaceful…” he sighs and grumbles. “Until that guy that always hangs out with my boss was—“

And then he noticed you had stopped breathing for just a second, internally panicking and almost abruptly moving to hoist you up. And after hearing your shuddering breath, followed by a relaxed smile and hug around your shared blanket. He sighed a breath of relief, smiling… reaching out his hand to caress your face.

At that point, he never felt how soft you really were. sure, you shared a bed but… never really cuddled together. You giggled in your sleep as You felt something warm yet some coarse and calloused brush against your face. Xiao imagines that you were dreaming of something happy at that moment, despite how you had just fallen asleep a couple minutes ago.

You are the Kamisato’s best friend! You love Ayaka and Ayato’s company, and study plus hang out with them outside of school when they’re not tending to their family matters. More importantly, after Ayato figured out that you had the biggest crush on his butler, he laughed and offered to hook you both up. Even if you felt embarrassed, he would tell Thoma in secret anyways—who ended up being extremely flattered and blushed like a mess! He… really liked when you visited. You laughed loud all the time, but he always found himself laughing somewhat boisterously when with you.

In the end… it just kind of ended up naturally like that. Now, you hang out with the Kamisato’s and Thoma every few days, and on Sundays interchangeably with them. One day, Thoma had some things to take care of in the house—but it wasn’t of utmost importance that they were concerned about disclosing the minor details with you.

So you came to visit, and Thoma had just finished placing a new vase of flowers on the pedestal at the foot of the railing of the stairs.

“Oh, hey ______!” he’s happy that he doesn’t have to be so formal with you, as with other guests. he pats down his pockets before running up to you and sweeping you up in a tight huh, spinning you around.

“Miss me?” he asks in such a teasing way. Of course, you do! What a stupid question. “I’m sorry to tell you, but I’ve got to finish up some final things—hey, you can join us—buuuuuuut there are some of your favorite biscuit cookies on the table in the living room~”

And with that, you were off in your separate directions. And you sat on the plush and fancy blue couches, snacking on the biscuit cookies with some fresh tea made by Thoma. Was he… expecting you? Was he anticipating that you would…

Never mind that, those were some good cookies. Best sweets you’ve had in a long time. Ever since exams, you just haven’t taken the time to eat better than you were currently. You laid your head on the armrest, thinking that it would be comfortable… before settling regularly into the mass of the furniture. Closing your eyes, you didn’t even realize how fast you’d fallen asleep.

Thoma, after about twenty minutes, comes in and sees that you’re not there...

“______, I’m finished wi—“ he starts to say before coming to the couches, noticing that you’re asleep. Immediately, he takes the remaining plate of biscuit cookies and teapot and sets them off to the side, before crouching down and just… looking at your face.

He thinks you’re gorgeous… oh boy. he… wow. Your hair is... so pretty. Looks so soft... and luscious... and long. Your skirt is running up, too...

Without looking and taking his eyes from your relaxed lashes, he gently pulls your skirt down and takes a folded throw blanket, putting it over you and nestling himself between the armrest and you so he can place a gentle hand on your shoulder.

“Exams were hard on you, weren’t they…” he sighs, saddened at how he couldn’t be with you for so long. “Rest well…” he mumbles, sitting and thinking about what food to make you when you awaken.

thoma knows that your love language is physical touch, partially due to the fact you’ve been dating for a few months and he’s quite an observant man.

he’s also observed that lately, you haven’t been as touchy, and he misses when you hold him and give him kisses on his head. he decided to talk with you about it when he came back home from being a housewife his house keeping duties.

“( name )? I’m home” thoma greeted, shutting the door behind him as quietly as possible, thinking you had maybe fallen asleep already, it is quite late after all.

toeing his shoes off, he shuffles to your shared room, only to freeze hearing some sniffling from the other side. thoma debated wether or not to barge in, deciding to comfort you instead of leaving you to cry on the bed.

thoma opened the door, before walking towards you and embracing you into a warm hug. you placed your head into the crook of his neck, desperately grabbing onto the shirt to somewhat ground you.

thoma shushed you, rubbing circles against your back. “do you want to talk about it?” thoma whispered, loud enough for you to hear. the only thing he heard was a muffled “I don’t want to be clingy to you anymore, isn’t it bothering you?” you sniffled. thomas’ heart shattered, of course you’re not a bother! he enjoys receiving your affection, no matter how small or big. placing a small kiss onto your forehead, he murmured “no, no, of course you’re not a bother! I love you so much and whenever you cling to me, it actually helps me relax knowing that I have my partner with me no matter how tough things get.” looking up at him with teary eyes, trying to rub off the remaining tears, thoma helping.

“I’m going to tell master ayato that I’m taking the day off tomorrow, I’m sure he won’t mind.” you were about to protest, being cut off by thomas’ lips on yours for a small peck. “go to bed love, tomorrow we can just spend the day in together.” thoma explained, laying down and letting you lay on his chest.

XIAO, CONQUERER OF DEMONS

xiao wasn’t really into pysical touch, especially in public. the slightest touch from you makes his face tinge a bright red. xiao will never admit this out loud, but he looks forward to you giving him cuddles and kissing his face.

however, that didn’t happen when he got back from his duties. at first he brushed it off as you being tired, but he eventually became suspicious that it wasn’t that, and something more.

mortals are confusing, so confusing to him. but you help him understand better, and so do other mortals that he talks with now and then. he decides it’s best to confront you about this.

xiao waited at the wangshu inn for you, as usual. when you met up with him, you noticed that he seemed a bit off. xiao sighed, motioning for you to sit across from him. “you haven’t been your usual self lately. usually when you see me, you would hug me or hold my hand or kiss my face all over, but you haven’t done that in a while. why is that?” he asked, eyes widening when you let out a sob, tears collecting at your eyes. xiao instantly placed you onto his lap, gently stroking your hair.

“aren’t I a bother to you? I’m so clingy all the damn time, I don’t want to make you uncomfortable or be a burden.” you managed to sniffle out, refusing to place your hands onto him. xiao glared, not at you, but at himself. he should’ve tried to reciprocate at least once, but he was too unsure of what to do or how to do so.

“no, you’re not bothersome. I’m just not sure how mortals work, or how to properly love someone and show affection. I look forward to your hugs every day when I see you.” he mumbled out, his face flushed a slight pink.

you gripped onto his back slightly, giving his neck a small kiss. you couldn’t see it, but xiao had a small smile gracing his usually stoic face.

GOROU, THE DOGGY GENERAL

It starts with his arm swung around your shoulders while Vince gives a speech about everything you’ve all accomplished in the past few weeks

Gally loves making you blush and messing with your focus so the whole time he alternates between pressing quick kisses to your face/temple/hair and squeezing your thigh

His big strong hands with an iron grip are simply made for it

No, it doesn’t matter that your friends are sitting right behind you and can see everything

Kaeya never lets you know when he wants your attention but he’ll make it obvious with his actions. He’ll be more touchy and just physically affectionate with you. He’ll keep being all touchy until you finally give him attention. 

You sat your desk in your office at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters working on some papers barely noticing Kaeya waltzing in. You gave him a small hum as he greeted you. He sat down in front of your desk watching you work. After a few minutes of silence, Kaeya decided he couldn’t just sit here and watch you work - especially since he came all the way over here to get some of the usual affection you showered him in. 

He stood up and walked around your desk to stand behind your chair. His arm came down beside your head, his hand resting on the desk beside your papers. His body loomed over yours as he stared down at your work. 

“How’s it going, sweetheart?” 

“I think I’m almost done,” you sighed

Silence filled up the room once again. A small hum left Kaeya’s lips. He leaned a little closer to the side of your face. He pecked your cheek making a small smile appear on his lips. 

“Come on, baby,” he kissed right beneath your ear, “Why don’t you take a break?” 

“I have to get this done today.”

He kissed your jaw and the side of your neck. He left many kisses to your neck hoping the affection would persuade you to spend some time with him.

“There’s still so much of the day left,” he purred, “You have time to take a little break~” 

“Kaeya,” you groaned, “I really need to work.”

“Just spend some time with me, baby. For me, please.”

You couldn’t deny how much you wanted to take a break but your rational mind knew you needed to keep working. After some more convincing from Kaeya, you finally gave in and spent some time with your needy boyfriend. 

Childe makes it so obvious that he wants your attention. He’ll verbally tell you he wants your attention as well as get more touchy with you. He will not leave you alone until you finally give him all of your attention. 

“Babeeeee,” Childe whined, “You’ve been working for hours!” 

“I’ve been working for a half hour.”

“Yeah, hours!”

You laughed and gently flicked your boyfriend’s forehead. He pouted as he rubbed the spot on his forehead. You continued to work despite Childe’s whining. You tried to write something down but your hand was stopped by Childe grabbing onto it. He took the pen out of your hand and interlocked his fingers with yours. You looked at him with slight annoyance that soon melted at the sight of Childe’s little pout. 

“I just wanna spend some time with you~” 

He leaned in close to your face, your noses almost touching. You knew he was silently asking you if you would give in and spend some time with him. You thought about it for a second, knowing deep down you really needed to get this work done, but you quickly gave in after staring at your sweet boyfriend practically begging you to give him your attention. With a small sigh, you leaned in and kissed him. You could feel his smile against your lips making you chuckle. When you pulled away, Childe wasted no time dragging you away from your work so he could finally get all the affection he’s been craving. 

Xiao never verbally makes it clear that he wants your attention - nor does he get touchy or anything. He only hovers around you and waits until you get the hint. He just hangs around you until you get the hint. 

You sat on the couch silently reading while Xiao sat in a chair opposite of you. He stared at you for a while thinking about how he wished you’d show him the same attention as you were giving that book. He looked between you and the book for a bit before deciding he’d try to gain your attention. 

He got up from his seat and moved to sit beside you on the couch. You didn’t even register that he had moved. He waited to see if you’d say anything but much to his chagrin, you didn’t acknowledge him at all. He shifted a bit closer to you making you peek up at him. He didn’t say anything but a slight pink tint to his cheeks appeared. The corners of your lips curved up into a soft smile. You soon returned to your book. Xiao’s eyebrows furrowed, not pleased that his plan hadn’t worked.

He scooted closer to you yet again, his knee almost touching yours. You looked over at Xiao again, a giggle slipping from your lips. 

“Are you alright?” you asked

“Yes, I’m fine,” he responded

“Okay, well...do you need something?”

“I- uh- I’m alright.”

You let out a small hum staring at the boy for a bit. His eyes shifted away from your stare and glanced down at the book momentarily. Tthe tips of his ears flushed a dark pink when he looked back up at you. You let out another giggle and pecked his cheek. 

“Ok, I’ll put down the book.” 

Thoma makes it known that he wants your attention by doing little acts of service. What I mean is he asks you if you want anything or if he can hep you. If that doesn’t work, he just hangs around you until he gets your attention. 

“Do you need anything?”

“No, I think I’m alright,” you responded

You were at the table doing some work while Thoma did some housework. At least you thought he was doing housework. He was actually lingering around you so he could steal you away from your piles of papers. He pretended to do some dusting around you frequently glancing over at you. 

“Your pen looks like it’s getting dry. I can get you a new one.”

“Ah, I think it’s fine,” you shook the pen, “There, much better.”

Thoma let out a little hum trying not to show how disappointed he was. After a few minutes of silence, a thought popped into Thoma’s head. 

“Have you had some water today? I think you need some water.”

“No babe I’m-”

“What about some lunch? Have you eaten already? I can whip us up something really quickly!”

“Thoma,” you looked over at your boyfriend, “What’s up? You keep asking if I need anything.”

“I’m just making sure you’re okay,” he lied

“No, there’s something else. I know it.”

You stood up and walked over to Thoma. You pressed a kiss to his lips as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

“Tell me what’s going on.”

“I just...I want to spend some time with you,” he admitted

“Then you just could’ve asked, silly,” you giggled, “Come on, lets cuddle on the couch a bit.”

You couldn’t help but giggle at the wide smile that spread across Thoma’s lips as he dragged you over to the couch. 

Itto makes it very known that he wants your attention. He’s kinda like a toddler in the way he acts. He just hangs around and whines until you give him your attention. Lowkey kinda annoying but still cute. 

“Babeee c’mon. It’s been so long!” Itto whined

“I’ve been reading for 15 minutes.”

“Nah, it’s been hours, I know it!”

“I promise it’s only been 15 minutes.”

Itto continued to grumble as you went back to your book. A nice silence befell the room making it easier to concentrate on your reading. He, of course, wasn’t silent for very long. 

“How much longer?”

“I don’t know. I’ll be done when I’m done, I guess.”

“Ughhh, that’s too long!” he huffed

“Let me get to the end of the chapter at least, okay?”

He mumbled a small yes and let you continue reading. You weren’t even 2 pages in when a head snuck under your arms so he could rest his head in your lap. He stretched out on the couch, his eyes closing as he got comfortable. 

“What’re you doing?”

“Laying down. If you’re gonna be a while I wanna nap.”

You rolled your eyes and went back to your book. You really couldn’t pay much attention to your book when your large boyfriend was using you as a pillow. You could see him sneaking glances up at you, his eyes opening every few minutes to see if you were looking at him. You and Thomas were close, and had been ever since your death, about a year and a half ago. He had been the first ghost you met, the one who explained to you what had happened and what you were now.

He was so sweet and polite towards you, making sure you were alright and always being there when you needed somebody to talk to. It wasn’t long before you considered him a good friend, telling off anyone when they made fun of him, while he in turn would chastise Julian whenever he made an inappropriate comment towards you, Fanny when she scolded you for supposedly unladylike behaviour.

Today you were doing what you often did, sitting in the library with Thomas, watching something on your phone. You had been lucky enough to die holding your phone, which had seemed to ascend to ghosthood alongside you.

Thomas could use it to write his poems so he didn’t have to always remember them off the top of his head, and there was even a couple of weeks where you’d accidentally gotten Kitty and Pat addicted to Pokemon Go. Of course, you were careful to ensure that Julian was never allowed to use the phone without supervision because you didn’t need to be mentally scarred by his Google searches again.

But it was especially nice to be able to share things with Thomas. You could show him all of your favourite music, films, and television shows from when you were alive. Who knew that your Netflix subscription would continue working after your death? He’d even been able to find some new interests of his own – the week after he discovered the music of Taylor Swift was certainly an emotional time for him – and you could update him on anything he wanted to know about how the world had changed since he was alive.

The episode of the current show you’d been binging ends, and you sigh, resting your head on Thomas’ shoulder. He tries not to freeze up. You had always been very physically affectionate, and he should be been used to it by now, but he never fails to end up incredibly flustered. Of course Thomas doesn't dislike the contact, that couldn’t be further from the truth, honestly it was the thing he looked forward to the most when he woke up every morning, and the last thought on his mind as he fell asleep every night.

He had come to love you dearly since the two of you had met, and strangely it had taken him a long time to realise it. When you had died, he’d still been pining over Alison, but gradually all of his thoughts started to become about you. How he longed to tell you his feelings, but what if you did not feel the same way? Would suddenly revealing romantic feelings hurt your friendship? In any case, he wished to confess his feelings to you through his poetry, and he’d been working on a particular poem for a while now. Perhaps he would eventually work up the courage to read it for you.

“Are you alright, Y/N?” Thomas asks, when the shock of you being so close to him had worn off, and he's finally able to speak again. You open your eyes and gaze up at him from where your head is resting, and he is nearly struck speechless again by your beauty,

“Hmm? Yeah, I’m fine. Just a bit tired. You don’t mind, do you? You’re actually really comfortable.” You sigh contentedly, and Thomas has to stop himself from launching into some dramatic speech about how there is no place that he’d rather you’d be than by his side.

“I am always glad to be of help to you, but surely you would be more comfortable on your bed?” he suggests, despite the fact that he’d love for you to stay there forever. “And perhaps you would allow me to borrow the telephone, I have a few ideas for a poem I have been working on and I would very much like to make a note of them before I forget.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” you admit, waiting a few more seconds before you stand up, yawning and stretching for a moment before placing the phone in Thomas’ hand. “Just make sure to bring it back, okay? We don’t want Julian getting his hands on it again.”

“Indeed.”

You smile sleepily at Thomas, giving him a little wave before turning to leave the library. He simply sits there for a moment, thinking about you resting against him before getting to work on his poem. You certainly had a way of inspiring him without even realising it.

You only intended to take a little nap, but you ended up sleeping for a few hours, as it's dark outside already when you open your eyes. Thomas had left your phone on your bedside table like he said he would, and you reach out to pick it up and check the time.

It’s nearly seven pm. It would probably be best for you to get up now, otherwise you were going to be awake all night and end up exhausted tomorrow. Though, if it gives you an excuse to rest your head against Thomas again, perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad? Maybe if you rested your head in his lap next time he’d finally get the hint that you were in love with him.

You unlock the phone to check something, and notice that Thomas had left the notes app open again. Sure, it didn’t really matter since the phone could never run out of charge, you suppose, but you still prefer to close apps when you are no longer using them. Probably just a habit from when you were alive.

As you’re about to shut the app down, something catches your eye in the note that Thomas had left open. It was a poem, seemingly a work in progress, but there at the very top was your name. You knew it was wrong, Thomas’ work should be his own business unless he decided to share it with you, but you couldn’t stop yourself. You felt a little bit giddy, he’d written a poem about you!

Thomas’ words were the most beautiful, romantic things you had ever read in your life, or death. A lot of the poems that he’d shown you had been a little bit silly – you’d still found them adorable though – but this was truly a work of art. As he writes about how he longs to tell you how he feels for you but cannot find the courage, tears start welling up in your eyes. He’s worried that you don’t love him back and that his feelings will scare you off. All you want to do is run out and find him so you can confess that you love him too, but then he’d know that you’d been reading his private things and he might get upset.

Nevertheless, you end up reading the poem a few more times, still just as emotionally affected as the first time. You’re so distracted that you don’t even notice someone walk into the room, tears streaming down your face as you stare at your phone.

“Oh my, Y/N, is something the matter?” Thomas asks, concerned, and you’re so startled that the phone slips from your hands. You scramble to try and catch it but fail, and it ends up falling on the ground. “Allow me to apologise, I did not mean to frighten you so.”

Ever the gentleman, Thomas bends down and picks up the phone for you, but you notice his expression change as he catches a glimpse of what you had been reading.

“This is…”

You look up at him with wide eyes, frightened that he’d be angry at you, but find that his expression carries much the same emotion as your own.

“Please excuse me, I… I must go.” Thomas turns and rushes out of the room before you even have a moment to react. As quickly as you can you follow him into the hallway, but by the time you get there he’s already gone.

“Shit…” you mumble to yourself, wondering where he could have run off to. Why couldn’t you have just shut off the phone and not looked at the poem? Sure, you wouldn’t know the truth of Thomas’ feelings for you, but he also wouldn’t be so upset.

You set off to look for him, checking all of his usual spots – the library, his bedroom, the attic – though all of them were empty. You hear the voices of the other ghosts, asking you what’s wrong, but you brush them aside. You’d apologise to them later, you needed to apologise to Thomas first.

You wracked your brain for a few minutes trying to think of where else he might be, until you finally thought of something. In the poem he had spoken of the moment he first met you, just after your death, while he was on a walk by the lake…

Well, it was worth a try, wasn’t it? It’s not like he could have left the grounds, so there was only a limited amount of places he could be.

Surely enough, you went out to the lake, and saw Thomas sitting there in the grass, gazing out towards the water. His knees were drawn up against his chest, his head resting in his hands. Your phone was sitting on the ground beside him.

“Hey, Thomas,” you say quietly, not wanting to startle him, as you sit down next to him. “It took me a bit to find you, you weren’t in any of the usual places…”

“I required some time to think,” he tells you, still looking out at the lake and not at you. It’s hard to tell, with how dark it is outside, but you think that he might have been crying. Poor thing, you really hadn’t meant to upset him.

“You know, you ran off before I got to tell you what I thought about your poem.” That certainly gets his attention, and he looks over to you, you can see the fear in his eyes.

“You needn’t say anything. I know that it was foolish, amateurish work, unfit to be read by anyone’s eyes, especially yours.” Thomas buries his head in his hands again, clearly very broken up by this whole situation. “I had so much more that I needed to say, to fully convey the depth of my feelings for you, but I–”

“Thomas, you said everything that you needed to say.” You move closer to him, placing your hand on his shoulder. Thomas’ hands come away from his face, and his gaze is transfixed by your own hand. “I’ve never read anything so sweet and romantic before, and it was all for me. I kept reading it over and over, I had no idea you felt that way about me. The way I feel about you.”

Thomas squeaks, unable to form any words at this point. God, he’s so adorable.

“Will you promise to read it to me sometime? I think I would like it a thousand times more if you did.”

“I… I only wish that I had known that you felt that way, Y/N…” He finally looks you in the eye, his brows furrowed in a way that makes it seem like he might start crying again. “I am afraid it is too late. I disposed of the poem.”

“Oh, don’t worry about that. I know how to get it back.” You pick up your phone, press the screen a few times, and then hold it up towards Thomas. The poem he had spent so long working on only to delete on an emotional whim was back as if he had never lost it.

“Amazing,” Thomas says, looking at you in awe, like you had performed some kind of magic. You grin at him, and he can’t help but smile back. He loves you so much that at this moment, he cannot sort through all of the emotions rushing through him to put them into words. Maybe it were best to stay silent for now, so he didn't say anything foolish.

As you had earlier that day, you rest your head on Thomas’ shoulder, and to his surprise, he feels even happier than when you had done the same thing before. Knowing that you love him, and wish to be close to him as well.

“Hey Thomas? You know… it’s a bit cold out here. Maybe I’d warm up if you put your arm around me?” You suggest, after you’d spent a few moments just enjoying each other's company in comfortable silence.

Thomas tilts his head to the side so it’s resting on top of your own, and you giggle softly. “We’re ghosts, Y/N, we cannot feel the cold.”

“I know that. I’m just trying to sneakily hint that I want you to put your arm around me.” And of course, Thomas is more than happy to do so. “I love you, Thomas.”

Thomas makes that squeaking noise again, so surprised to actually hear the words coming from your mouth, even if he already knows how you feel. “I… I love you too, my dear.”

The two of you end up staying there until you’re too tired to get up and return inside, and fall asleep in each other's arms, curled up together on the grass. When the others come searching for you the next morning, they smile at the sight of you, just looking so happy and content there.

“You owe me ten,” Robin says with a smirk, elbowing an irritated Julian in the ribs.

So, Hoodie is an arrogant, cocky, knows he's good at his job and honestly a tad confrontational. He has a short temper and it almost always ready to fight.

Hoodie won't ever admit that he's a tad touch starved, but he absolutely is.

The Slashers with a Touched Starved S/O

Admittedly Thomas has to try to not take your reaction to his touch personally at first. But he soon comes to understand why you might be uncomfortable or hesitant.

He’s patient and gives you your space.

When you explain your relationship with touch to him, he understands but it still saddens him. It scares you and brings back bad memories? What memories? No, no, you don’t need to tell him, it’s alright. But you’re okay now, you have him and he’ll protect you!

He’s touched starved too, let’s be real. So once you start becoming more comfortable with touch and openly want his touch, you’ll get it!

The two of you hold hands all the time. Walking through the house, sitting in the living room. Hell, even at the dining table.

You both crave touch, even just holding each other’s hands, and there is no reason you can’t do so.

Neither of you care about the comments that Hoyt makes, teasing you both or scoffing at how sappy you both are. Why would either of you care when you have each other and are feeling better than ever?

Both of you are very patient and understanding with each other, and that’s what makes you work so well together. If one of you needs space, you understand. If one of you needs some love and affection, you understand and are usually happy to provide.

Michael Myers

Michael isn’t exactly a touchy affectionate guy anyway, especially not towards the beginning of your relationship.

So if you are hesitant with touch, it’s not too bad because he mostly keeps a little distance anyway.

It’s not until he places a hand on your shoulder that he notices a real reaction.

If you tense or flinch away from him, he’ll drop his hand but not comment on it. He wasn’t sure if your reaction was towards him or something more personal.

On the other hand, if you melt into his touch, he is as equally curious. The touches become more frequent as he studies how you react.

He’ll notice how you start to hover around him, your arm gently brushing against his as you stand by his side. He soon becomes aware of what you want, that you’re craving some sort of touch or attention.

Michael still isn’t an expert on touch and affection so he isn’t really sure about what to do.

He places a hand on your shoulder and allows it when you shift closer, moving into his side and wrapping your arms around him.

Michael is surprisingly patient with you and you need to be patient with him in return. He’s pretty clueless on the subject. But if you want or need that gentle touch, go to him. It’s very unlikely that he is going to turn you down.

He also likes your attention more than he will ever express.

Jason is already cautious with touching you at first. He’s anxious about pushing too far or scaring you away, so he’s careful anyway.

If you seem nervous with touch, he will back off and understand. At first he worries that it’s something to do with him but slowly starts to realise that there is probably a deeper reason behind it all.

He’s very patient with you, appreciating when you are patient with him as well.

He’s pretty new to the world of affection apart from what he received from his mother but he’ll do his best.

His heart warms when you lean into his touch or seek him out, he soon realises that you appear to crave this touch.

And he is more than happy to help you with that. He will still be cautious of pushing your boundaries though.

You’re hand brushes against his? He’ll take your hand. You lean into his side? He’ll shift closer and maybe place a hand on your back or shoulder.

When you walk up to him and wrap your arms around him, burying your face in his chest, he will wrap his arms around you and hold you against him. He will hold you for as long as you want, not moving until you pull away.

Brahms Heelshire

Brahms also craves touch, more specifically loving affection, and this can either be a positive or a negative for you.

If you’re hesitant with touch first, he isn’t as patient as some of the others in this list. But he’ll hold himself back as much as he can in order to make sure you are comfortable.

Once you explain that touch can be a scary thing for you and that it brings up bad memories, Brahms understands a lot more and becomes more patient with it.

But he  accidently slips up sometimes, wrapping his arms around you or just standing too close. If you lean into his touch though, he smiles brightly and holds you a little tighter.

The two of you locked up in the huge house with just each other, both of you can get all the love and cuddles you like.

If you crave touch, just walk up to him and bury your face in his chest. He’ll instantly return your embrace and bury his face in your hair.

If all you want to do that day is hold each other, he will probably want the exact same thing. He’s happy to just share these moments with you, both of you getting what you want.

Bo is more touch starved than he would ever let on. And isn’t used to positive or gentle touch. He just wouldn’t admit that, at least not until you’ve been together for a while and he’s started to allow himself to be vulnerable with you.

But this is why he is surprisingly understanding. If you clearly are uncomfortable with touch or flinch away from it in some way, he will notice and back off. He’ll let you warm up to him and his touch in your own time, acting pretty unfazed by it all.

When you start to seek out his closeness and touch, he can’t help but smile to himself.

Vincent starts off pretty nervous around you so it’s unlikely that he is going to actually touch you for a while.

He sees how you react to Bo and Lester touching you though. If Bo pushes past you or pats you on your shoulder, you look like you’re flinching away from him a little. When Lester throws an arm around your shoulder, you tense. Vincent notices these things about you and so decided to actively not touch you. He wants you to be comfortable around him.

So the day that you lean against his shoulder, he isn’t sure how to react. But he is thrilled that you’re comfortable around him.

After that he starts to notice your little tells. How you’ll shift closer to him, whether you’re sitting on the couch together or you’re standing with him as you talk with his brothers.

His heart absolutely melts when he feels your finger tips brush against his. He looks down to see you shyly playing with his fingers. He’ll never forget the smile on your face when he laced his fingers through yours and held your hand.

Then you lean into his side, seeking even more closeness, and he can’t help but rest his head on yours. He could never express to you how much he also appreciates your touch.

Lester Sinclair

Lester has a lot of love to give and if you crave touch and affection he is more than happy to provide!

But he’ll also hold back if you’re uncomfortable, letting you grow more comfortable with both him and touch.

If you explain to him that touch can be a scary thing to you, that it can bring back memories, he will do his very best to respect your space.

It’s possible that Billy actually has a pretty similar relationship with touch. You’re likely in the same boat here.

So initial touch could be awkward and happens gradually. The two of you becoming more comfortable together, helping each other, trusting each other.

When you explain that sometimes touch brings back bad memories, he will completely understand, sharing his own past as much as he can. You both have a new understanding of each other.

He honestly gets it. It can be scary if he brings up bad memories. Surprising understanding.

He’ll respect whatever you want him to do but also wants to try to put you at ease with his touch. Or...sometimes he just forgets.

But when he threw his arm around you and you just lent into his side, he smiled and tighten his hold on you, pulling you a little closer.

The more touch you allow, the more touch he will give. He likes to be touching you all the time, even if it’s just a hand on your lower back.

He’s a little smug about how much you seem to crave touch and will comment on it but not in a malicious way. He’s certainly not going to complain if you want to be around him more and have him touching you more in anyway.

Baby is going to need some reminders if you’re hesitant with touch or it makes you uncomfortable.

She’s pretty affectionate and touches you without even realising it. Grabbing your hand to guide you somewhere, pulling you into a hug when she is happy, throwing an arm around you when she’s teasing you.

Once you remind her or she notices her mistake, she’ll apologise with a smile and give you your space without making a big deal out of it.

But when she does it one day, playfully wrapping her arm around you, and you lean into her touch? She’ll smile and tighten her hold on you rather than letting go.

From that moment on, it is so obvious to her how much you crave touch and she is more than happy to help you with that.

Expect a lot of hugs and littles kisses on your face. Whenever you go out together or with some other members of the family, you’re holding hands or she has a hand on you in someway. It gives you the touch you desire and she gets to show you off as hers.

Yautja (Predator)

He honestly does like to be touching you. Maybe it’s just because you’re so soft, it doesn’t really matter.

But he’s more than aware of you being a human and him being a big scary alien. He doesn’t see anything wrong with that, he just isn’t delusional about how you might see him. So he keeps the touches minimal at first unless you seek them out, just not wanting to scare you away.

He’s very observant to your reactions so he is actually really good at not making you uncomfortable and actually making you comfortable in his presence.

So he also notices how you lean into his touch when he does so much as place a hand on your shoulder.

More than happy to comply! He won’t lay it on too thick so that he doesn’t scare you away but more touches are bound to come.

If you're laying in a position where you can rest your hand on his stomach, please do it. He likes the feeling of your fingers drawing shapes on his bare skin. Something about it is just comforting. ~ He likes spooning. On most days, he likes to be the big spoon cause he likes knowing he could protect you against any outside forces. On days that he's tired (physically or mentally) or feeling down in general, he likes being the little spoon. He just asks that you kiss his head when he's little spoon.

Bennett:

He likes when you kiss the scars on his body that you can reach in the moment. I don't make the rules. He also likes to hold your hand if you're just laying side by side. ~ Sweethearts cradle, sweethearts cradle- Bennett always worries that his terrible luck will somehow trigger something, but it's worse when laying like this cause he doesn't want something to disturb your slumber but he also loves holding you close.

Kaeya:

He talks during cuddles. He'll whisper about how his day was and you don't have to reply either, an acknowledging hum is enough for him. ~ Kaeya doesn't exactly have a particular position he likes, he just lazily drapes his arm around your waist from behind. He likes the freedom of movement but he still likes touching you to know that you're there with him.

Xiao:

I imagine he isn't big on cuddling. What he does instead is wait for you to fall asleep before kissing your head. He then rubs your side or arm for a second, continuing on with whatever he was doing after. ~ Back-to-Back for sure. He likes the freedom of being able to get up if he needs to but he can still be next to you to make sure nothing happens to you. It's not very physically affectionate, but it's a way he expresses his love for you.

Beidou:

She prefers to be the big spoon or the equivalent to the big spoon in any other position. It doesn't matter what your pronouns are or how big/small you are. ~ I feel she would keep one arm behind her head and one around your shoulders while you lay on her chest. If you tangle your legs with hers, you get extra points cause she'll get a bit cuddlier with that.

Childe:

Most might say that he'd be pretty touchy during cuddles, but I think he'd just be very soft and want nothing more than to have a moment of peace with his s/o. ~ He likes laying his head on your lap most of the time. Other times, he likes to just cling to you while you do whatever.

Kazuha:

This is in almost every Kazuha hc ever, but he loves to write words on your skin. Sometimes he'll write something and have you try to guess what he wrote. ~ He likes to hug you close to him and stay face-to-face, but he likes it even more if you hug him back. It's not a honeymoon hug, but it's similar. He's always pressing small kisses to your nose and forehead when you're like this too.

Thoma:
