your Stožice Photo Dump photos have pictures from so many different angles and distances from the stage, did you move around so much somehow? 🤔

ahaha I wish -- I switched places with a friend after the shoving got too bad, but mostly the stage was just a pretty fun layout! We were on the left side of the cat walk if you looked at the stage (so "Kris's side"), and they came up the cat walk bit quite a lot, which enabled me to get different angles of them.

Since this got long -- and turned into something of another pic spam -- more under the cut :D

Here you can see the catwalk pretty well:

It was a really cool layout, imo, bc it made for quite a lot of "front row", and granted, I wasn't actually barrier, but second row (behind the person streaming for JO Subs, actually! So my view was really close to what "viewers at home" got).

... Still close enough to get caught in the Omamljeno Telo Shower 😂😂

And then, of course, I thought the crowd was pretty stunning, too, so this is me having turned around and photographed the crows "in front of" the cat walk ... tip. Or whatever it's called

Not included in the photodump (I think): the large LED screens they had so people further in the back could also see things. That was very helpful when Bojan lay down for Padam, because I'd suddenly lost track of him and the LED screens meant I could find him (and then zoom in on him, which is how I got the pic of him on the floor)

This is said view during Padam -- probably looks familiar from the first pic I posted, because Bojan lay down right where the catwalk grew out of the main stage (and from the pixellation, you can tell that I had to zoom to catch him bc he was kinda small from where we were standing)

But they were really great about moving around, and so they all kind of stopped in front of where we were standing? In the Bojan pic, you can see the camera mounted at the "tip" of the cat walk, and in the Kris with Jan and Nace (respectively) pics underneath, I was facing straight ahead. (The lying water bottle/cups are the same in all three pics)

And, as I said -- I was right behind JO Subs, which you can see in this pic :D (I'd say "you have to trust me it's indeed JO subs", but you can probably cross-reference this with the stream, I think it's floating around somewhere)

And finally, here's them on the "main stage" during Carpe Diem -- which probably shows why I only took very, very few pics of them on the main stage. They were just too tiny from our spot. But they did come to the front of the cat walk there, too, so I did get to see them up close once more.

And finally -- my friend was sitting in the bleachers, so I can even pinpoint exactly where I was standing (even though you should probably be able to triangulate my position from all the pics). I marked my position in blue in their pic (this pic actually is not by me)

everywhere you look inside and out, there are stunning floral displays, with elegant bouquets of roses, peonies, and lilies in tall vases, and smaller arrangements of wildflowers and greenery scattered across tables. servers move gracefully through the crowd, offering trays of delicate appetizers.

the atmosphere is lively, with guests chatting animatedly as they mill about, glasses of sparkling wine in hand. laughter and conversation echo throughout the space, creating a warm, festive ambiance. the guests, a mix of family and close friends are clearly excited, stealing glances toward the grand staircase at the far end of the room. they’re all waiting for the moment when the true guests of honor, the newly engaged couple, make their entrance.

he tunes in just long enough to catch a snippet about how apparently all the giant pandas around the world, including the ones in zoos, technically belong to China. he can’t help but smirk at the randomness of it, but his interest fades quickly. his mind is preoccupied, his eyes flicking occasionally toward the grand staircase at the far end of the room, where the newly engaged couple is expected to make their entrance.

as he listens with half an ear, the impatience gnawing at him, the murmur in the room suddenly quiets. the couple has finally arrived. baekhyun straightens up, his expression softening into a proud smile as he watches his best friend and his new fiancée step into the room, looking radiant and happy.

as the couple receives a warm and lively welcome from the crowd, baekhyun's attention shifts to a captivating woman who enters just behind them. his smile falters, replaced by a flicker of curiosity. who is she? his gaze lingers, captivated and intrigued. the party may be just beginning, but for baekhyun, the night has already taken an unexpected turn.

the crown jewel of the lee family’s hotel empire. he stays quiet as he takes a mental note of the mystery woman's name.

"hate to admit it, but chanyeol’s got a point," jongdae says, fiddling with the opulent watch on his left wrist. "you know kyungsoo, not to mention hana, will absolutely have your head if you even think about messing with her best friend."

well fuck, he thinks to himself resigning before the game even began. just then, a server with a silver platter of champagne weaves through the crowd toward him. he casually places his empty glass on the tray and swaps it for a fresh one.

"what’s got baekhyun pouting like that?" a voice asks from behind. baekhyun glances at the two men with a look that clearly says, "don’t say shit."

the three of them turn to see the couple of the hour—kyungsoo, hand in hand with his fiancée, hana. "thank you so much for being here," hana gushes, embracing each of them warmly. "i still can’t believe you three managed to keep this party—let alone kyungsoo’s proposal—a secret!" she adds, her smile bright and infectious.

baekhyun takes in how beautiful and happy the couple in front of him looks, their love almost palpable in the air. they complemented each other well. for a moment, a pang of jealousy hits him—jealous of the connection they share, jealous because he’s never come close to feeling that way. but more than jealousy, he feels overwhelming happiness and pride for his best friend in finding his very own person.

"hey! we can be trustworthy," chanyeol whines, clutching his hand over his heart as if her words were an arrow struck through his chest.

"oh, chanyeol, always the drama queen. give it a rest, will you?" hana rolls her eyes. "i never said you guys weren’t trustworthy, just that you can’t keep your mouths shut. it’s hard to believe you didn’t let it slip around me—especially you, chanyeol," she says his name through gritted teeth, landing a playful punch on his shoulder. "how could my own big brother keep such a secret from me?!"

her fiancé and his friends laugh at their usual sibling banter. chanyeol rubs his arm, trying to soothe the sting. "whatever! what about (y/n)? she knew this whole time too—how come you're not giving her a hard time?!"

hana rolls her eyes with a smile before saying, "don't worry. i gave her an earful on the car ride here."

"did i hear my name?" a smooth, honeyed voice seemed to stir baekhyun's entire world.

there she was. baekhyun’s eyes were drawn to the most stunning woman in the room—perhaps the most beautiful he had ever seen.

"i was wondering why my ears feel like they've been on fire since walking in."

her joking remark sent a jolt of paranoia through baekhyun, causing him to choke on his drink. his ears and neck flushed red with embarrassment. "shit, excuse me," he muttered, clearing his throat and awkwardly patting his lips with the back of his hand.

this is episode one of season two of i-am-both-the sister-of-the-devils-home-emergency-backup-goaltender-and-also-happen-to-be dating-dawson-mercer-forward-for-the-devils series!

these pictures are in no particular order, because, i am moving into a new place with afore mentioned dawson mercer and have spent the last several weeks making it look like it's not the most depressing back alley murderous apartment any of you have ever laid your eyes on

regardless, here's what i've caught up on;

the entire nhl draft! though i have not acquired any new adoptees, it did come to my attention that the anaheim ducks as an organization did personally victimize me during the 2023 entry draft (they also took a BALLSY amount of time to re-sign bitch one and bitch two. what the literal fuck, dudes). also- if you are seeing this and you need help to flee, blink twice (not you adam) (you know who you are)

2, the entire preseason was also missed while i was one, curing myself from jetlag and the absolute dread of going back to uni and two, moving my egregious amount of shit with a spiteful level of independence. the devils won every preseason game! dawson scored that clusterfuck of a goal on slide two and we also got to see goalie bonks again! (i told you those pics weren't in order and i meant it)

three, (or four, i forgot what came first) quinneth played his first regular season game as captain of the canucks ad they kicked ass against the edmonton dudes. goncrats captain ;p

four (probably) rookie had both his first reg season nhl game AND his birth on the same day! he cried on camera for thousands of viewers and made me question kidnapping his brother and locking him in an abandoned building in ohio (who am i kidding i don't want to be in ohio). the blue jackets have since been doing blue jacket things (losing)

five (it's all blended together these days) the devs started their regular season and now i get to go to the arena and watch in peace as nico makes dumb faces, jack gets into petty scrums and goes to the box (apparently? that ones new.) and dawson does dawson things (be hot)

sixth and finally, assistant coach and captain quinn (he should probably drop a title for his mental health, me thinks) turned 24! i giggled profusely at an edit of him as tracksuit rob. good job on aging, kid 🎉

Oh if we're sharing weed stories I've got one. I'm still a little noobie stoner so I have a very low tolerance for stuff, and also don't have access to my own so i cant like. Build up or anything (shouts out to my beautiful homes for letting me steal from their stashes <3<3) but one time I was trying dabs at my friend's house, we were already kinda high, I was nauseous bc it was hot as FUCK IN her house, and I had just eaten (she has fed me microwave Thai noodles while I kicked our other friends ass at Mario kart) and I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE DABS AT ALL. So I took the fattest fucking dab of the century. I did not want to cough it out bc I knew I'd throw up (big mistake always cough it put ALWAYS) but I shuffled to the bathroom and proceeded to throw my guts up for what felt like literal hours. My friend followed me into her bathroom and rubbed my back and told me I was a trooper, I deliriously asked if I won the contest for being the strongest while throwing up (her response was Yes You're So Tough At Throwing Up) and then I thought I was dying. I literally told her "Z. I think I am severely dehydrated. And I need to go to the hospital." While she was handing me a cup of water. Then she tried to get me to stand so we could move back to the living room but when she helped me up I decided I just wanted a hug so she had to literally cradle me while shuffling backwards to the couch, and then dealt with me refusing to shut up and drink my water and asking them how they were doing every 5 seconds. I vividly remember her telling me to shut the fuck up and go to sleep and literally NOTHING else after I got to the couch. She took a pic of me sideying her while drinking my water and it's the funniest goddamn thing I've ever seen. Moral of the story let your friends help you take dabs or just don't do them dabs suck so so bad. Also cough it out every time. Also don't smoke if ur nauseous. Also just. This whole story is a cautionary tale pls be careful peace and love <3
