Random BNHA Imagine

So...everywhere I look I see references to Bakugou being great at cooking. So imagine Kirishima wanting to introduce his best friend (boyfriend) to his internship family, especially Fatgum. Now Fatgum saw the results of the Sports Festival, but he’s also heard Kirishima ramble on about how manly Bakugou is and how they’re best friends (even if Bakugou doesn’t admit it) well...queue protective Dadgum cause local Ray of Sunshine Kirishima obviously is in love with this Explosive Boi. So Fatgum is all prepared to give Bakugou the shovel talk, until Bakugou actually arrives...with a basket full of a homemade meal and baked goodies.

See Bakugou had to suffer through (like anyone still believes that) Kirishima gushing about Fatgum to him like all the time. Bakugou knows that Fatgum is important to Kirishima and since Kirishima is important to Bakugou...he cares enough to want to make a good first impression. Bakugou was able to pick up from Kirishima’s rambling what Fatgum’s favorite foods are and he knows how important eating is for Fatgum’s quirk too. (I also headcannon that Bakugou cooks/bakes when he is stressed but training/sparring isn’t an option)

So...Bakugou arrives with Kirishima carrying a boatload of food he made (naw he totally wasn’t stressing out about meeting his boy/best friend’s pseudo dad) and offers it to Fatgum, not outright cause this is Bakugou but honestly both Kirishima and Fatgum can see right thru his facade. Queue Fatgum forgetting all about the shovel talk and just adopting Bakugou, screw you Best Jeanist this angry chick is his now. Also queue Bakugou being surprised that he’s been accepted so easily (he knows most pro heros tend to have a poor opinion of him). Kirishima’s just freaking BEAMING cause he’s so happy being able to hangout with two of his favorite people and that they’re getting along!

Bakusquad consisting of Bakugou, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero: excuse me, but you fucks are forgetting my beautiful girl! This is incomplete! How dare!

Bakusquad including Mina: Yes, this is correct. The bare minimum needed.These boys need their Queen otherwise they are a mess. (She helps them be a different kind of mess)

Bakusquad plus Jirou: omg yes! She fits so perfectly! She and Baku share an aesthetic and will judge their classmates’ life (and fashion) choices together. Don’t get me started on her and Kaminari like yeah she’ll ruthlessly tease that boy but be ready to meet her in the pit if someone outside the squad tries to do the same. Plus they go to each other and pine/gush/complain about their crushes and how hot they are. True bi solidarity.

Bakusquad plus Shinsou: YAAAAAAASSSSSS! Please! My fluffy purple son needs good friends! He deserves this loving meme of a family!!!

**BONUS** : Hagakure as Bakusquad adjacent, she’s not fully part of the squad but hangs out with them a lot and meshes really well with everyone. Kinda started hanging out with the squad because of Mina, but became friends with everyone. She likes being able to observe their antics without getting involved sometimes. That shit is better than anything on TV. Seriously who needs Big Brother when you have these trainwreks. Sometimes Shinsou and Jirou will join her in just watching the chaos that is the main/OG Bakusquad. They make popcorn and enjoy it until they get roped back into the shenanigans.

I will probably make a separate post with all my headcannons about the Bakusquad and their interactions with each other at some point.

So...

I just realized my headcannon post about Bakugou meeting Fatgum has vanished...I guess it was deleted? I dunno...makes me sad and wonder what happened to it. I miss my stress baking/cooking Bakugou. He just wanted to make a good impression and feed Fatgum cause he’s important to Kirishima and Kirishima is important to him....I’ll try and re-write it later. 😞

So...I dunno if this is a stupid thing to share but...I discovered a while ago that Old Spice Wolfthorn doesn't say anything about gender on its packaging. Like it literally just says 'Deoderant for Nocturnal Creatures' or 'Antiperspirant for Nocturnal Creatures' which honestly is me. I personally used this when my mother decided to say something about me using a Men's deodorant like naw it's not. Plus it's like melon scented? So it smells way better than all of the 'female deodorants' I've used in the past. I figured I'd just share this for any non-binary or agender folks out there or anyone really? When so many products are gendered it's nice to stumble across one that isn't.

Small Town Southern

I'm not sure if this is just a Southern thing or a small town thing or both, but business/news/events in your life are one of two things: everybody's business or family business. That's it those are the only two options.

Let me clarify with an example: you get laid off, you tell your parents...your mother then tells everyone. 5 minutes after telling her your grandmother calls you about it, your mother has already told the entire extended family before you could. All of her friends know within a week. Your high school girl friend? Your mother bumped into her at the grocery store and she now knows, also your mother told the cashier that you have never met. Seems crazy? That's personal business why must everyone know and why is she telling everyone?

Now for the flip side, family business, where things get a little crazier. Example: you come out to your parents. First thing you are asked? 'Have you told anyone else?' Yes? Oh goodness why would you do such a thing? Just keep it in the family, no! Don't tell your grandmother, aunts, cousins. This is just personal business, it shouldn't be shared. Now I know you might be thinking well sexuality in the South that makes some sense given how people can be...yeah well you could change the scenario to let's say...failing out of college or even just a class. Pretty similar to getting laid off or fired right? It'll be everyone's business? No...but yes at the same time. The truth still in the family, not even the grandmother knows, but a white lie is told to everyone like before. You decided to take time off and figure out what you plan to do. Student loans were getting too high without a clear major in mind. Or maybe you're taking time off for 'medical reasons' but you'll be back by next semester.

I'm curious is this just a Southern thing? Small Town thing? Both?

Beauty and the Beast

Y'know how people will make that joke out of a beauty and the beast moment over the couple arguing that the other is the beast and they are the beauty. I really wanna see the opposite of that like show me them arguing about how “I’m obviously the Beast because you’re so beautiful you must be Beauty” and just them going back and forth about what they hate about themselves and what they love about the other. Just imagine.

“Darling I steal the covers at night and I will drink directly out of the carton and then put it back in the fridge without saying anything. Oh and I stole Todd’s leftovers last week even though there was a note saying do not touch obviously I’m the Beast!” “Justin how could you say that! Just look at you you’re smile lights up the entire room and I swear your laughter sounds like…like fairy dust, shush that totally makes sense, also! you spent like 2 hours playing with those kids at the park yesterday when they interrupted our picnic. Not to mention I have snaggle teeth and I’m practically covered in hair. How could I possibly be the beauty!?�� “David sweetheart your hair is fantastic and when the light hits it it just shines like a thousand suns. You are also the kindest sweetest person I know you made all those cupcakes for the bake sale when Susan asked and you don’t even like Susan!! Not to mention Your smile I swear it’s so beautiful just seeing you smile makes me smile. Plus I have that skin condition and that weird thing with my feet. I’ve been told that my eyes freak people out too. You’re the beauty and I’m the beast and that’s that. issue settled. problem solved. Done.”

Southern Small Town Situations

You run into someone in the grocery store, they smile call you by your first name and give you a hug before starting to ask about your family, by name...you do not recognize this person. you do not know their name. Where do they know you from?! You smile and try not to be rude. You talk to this person for 10 minutes. Your mother approaches as you say your goodbyes, you turn to her and ask who that person was. They apparently ran the church daycare when you were 4 years old. You are now 20 years old...how did they recognize you? How did they expect you to know who they were? Your family stopped going to that church when you were 6.

Things I’d like to see in mainstream media, part 2

I originally had all of this in one post but it seemed way to long so here’s this...

-allow characters to say screw you to gender stereotypes and heteronormative culture. Allow a man to wear a dress or skirt without it being a joke. Allow a trans woman to rock a suit if she wants to, it does NOT make her less of a woman. Non binary characters wearing makeup and a skirt one day and sagging jeans and a hoodie the next. Have this giant buff man own a bunny and love baking. Have a tiny bright ball of sunshine human being in a frilly sundress go to a park with a gian pit bull both with giant grins on their faces and bows on. Yeah he identifies as a man, but damn it he could slit someone’s throat with how sharp his winged eyeliner is. Wow they looks so regal and those cheeksbones, they look a little snobby...did they just throw back 3 cups of jungle juice before challenging the entire room to beer pong? Are...are they speaking in Klingon? Katie, Are they mocking frat boys in KLINGON!???! I spot a guy across the bar, plaid flannel shirt with rolled sleeves, Levi jeans, and cute brown booties with a wedge heel that really just help make the outfit somehow. Goodness he’s handsome I wish I could get up the nerve to go talk to him...oh god did he see me staring!?

- also having different body types represented would be very nice. Let me have chubby and overweight characters without them being turned into a joke or forced into the role of the ‘funny one’ give me a plus sized beauty who rocks bikinis and crop tops like the gorgeous goddess she is. Give me a small kinda skinny guy that isn’t supposed to be a loser or nerd, like let him be fine with how he looks. Allow a short guy date a tall woman without it being a bit.

- addressing the real life issue of catcalling that women go through every day. Showing the fear a woman experiences walking to her car at night, but also showing the confidence a woman can have walking home at night. Show a woman ready to fight to protect herself, but resigned about the fact that she has to always be on guard. The relief you feel when you make it into your car and triple check that your doors are locked. Texting friends and family where you are and when you get home for dates so they’ll know what’s happening. Sending a screenshot of your Uber/lyft drivers information or requesting a new driver until you get a woman when you are heading home for the night.

- a girl is walking with her guy friend when she’s catcalled, the guy gets defensive and yells back at the catcaller. The girl kinda has to calm him down, when he asks her how she’s so calm she just admits that she’s used to it and is kinda numb to it now, it’s just the way things are. He tells her she shouldn’t have to be used to it and it isn’t right. She admits to still getting that zing of fear when it happens that they’ll do more than just shout at her.

- ya know what else would be cool? Doing an old switcharoo and have like “straight baiting” for once. For example, for half a season have this character, Michelle, talk about her fiancée Aiden that’s away, maybe went to study abroad for a semester or is in the army and on tour, just something that is keeping them from being present for the moment. So all season Michelle just casually brings up things about Aiden (no pronouns mentioned just referred to as aiden Andy fiancée), mentions missing aiden or how aiden sent them a package or funny cat video or maybe ‘sorry can’t do that thing I have plans to skype/FaceTime with aiden tonight’ then at the end of an episode or something maybe it’s this character’s birthday?, have this woman walk in through the door like carrying a duffle bag or something, everyone is confused until you just hear Michelle shout “aiden!” Before running and jumping into her arms (causing her to drop the duffle bag to catch her) and there are kisses and tears and omg why didn’t you tell me and I wanted it to be a surprise. All while Aiden is just holding her fiancée and Michelle has her legs wrapped around her waist. *sigh* extra kudos (especially if Aiden is in the army or something) about Michelle bringing up a mix of stereotypical masculine things but also like feminine things regarding Aiden. Like oh yeah Aiden made me that rocking chair for the porch and this is aiden’s favorite beer, my fiancée is really into bbq Aiden would love to learn how to smoke our own ribs or whatever (side note why is grilling and bbq seems as masculine but other forms of cooking feminine??) oh I only really got into hockey after Aiden brought me to a game. But also, thanks for helping me paint my nails I’m the worst at it usually Aiden does them for me. Oh! I should get this for my fiancée Aiden loves bunnies. And like other better things too (I know these are terrible stereotypes but they were what popped into my head), there are two frilly aprons in the kitchen cause they love cooking dinner together. Aiden helped pick the flowers and other plants for their garden. (...I might write out some more on this later)

When I search #asexual to look for someone who understands how I feel and for support I just LOVE that the first thing I see is asexual hate. That is what the “top” post is. That asexual hate is has more notes than support. But you know asexuals don't need a community or safe space because we don't exist and there is no such thing as ace hate. Fantastic. I looked somewhere that I was sure I would be validated and instead I feel like someone just spat in my face. I'm sorry if being confronted by my sexuality made you uncomfortable. Don't worry I'll go back to being invisible soon and you won't be able to hear me cry. After all I don't even exist so why should My feelings matter.
