I have been working hard on chapter seven for WMHS. I have half of the chapter written and I am hoping to have another three pages worked on before the end of the night. I would like to see this chapter finished before the night ends but I don't want to get ahead of myself and fail.

It's been raining here on and off since last night. I think it is supposed to do it for the rest of the week. So, I may not even be able to do the Community Days for Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom. I won't know until tomorrow to see how things progress.

Some pikmin behavioural headcanons!

-Pikmin store nectar in a special crop with the purpose of using it as a spare energy store and to share with eachother. The bloom on their stem indicates they have nectar to share, and fellow pikmin will take a sip from the flower!

-Their calls and vocalizations follow a simple set of parameters, being stridulatory and volume. High volume indicates a driving feeling, with lower volume being more natural noises, and faster stridulation indicating importance. For example, a sharp, loud call with a stridulated voice means "Danger!", a low hum with a stridulated voice is a focused grunt, low stridulation but high volume is shock or fear, and low stridulation and volume are common vocalizations. The sound of a whistle, to them, sounds just like an urgent "Come to me!" call.

-Pikmin tend to sing together as a method of communication and to enforce teamwork. The simple 'hum-hm-hum-hm" as they carry an object establishes their working rhythm as a group and keeps people from being trampled or left behind.

-The 3-note sound they make when treasure is yet to be found is a call they make to keep their allies alert passively, and they'll sing a happy song once all their tasks are completed for a day.

-Pikmin love to be thrown! They find the velocity and wind to be exhilarating, and if they're happy, they're more likely to focus on a task. They tend to infer a task based on what there is to do nearby, so throwing a pikmin towards something they should carry makes them more motivated to do the task.

•Pikmin onions have an odd life cycle. They are formed from seeds deep underground, and if they get enough nutrients, they will become an Onion. If not, they will become a Candypop Bud and either stay underground or burrow up to the surface. If they form into an Onion they will stay underground or burrow up depending on their type. Red, Yellow, Blue, Rock, Winged, and Ice burrow up while White and Purple stay underground. Onions then propagate Pikmin with the help of a leader (supposed to be a Mamuta) and grow and spread seeds. Onions will naturally seek out other Onions over time and fuse with them. Once an Onion has fused with at least two others, it searches for the highest point it can find and lands there, anchoring its roots to the ground and preventing Pikmin from being produced. It uses all the nutrients and energy of the Pikmin within it to create seeds that it showers onto the landscape. For every four seeds that bury themselves and become Onions or Candypop buds, one is a Lumiknoll Seed. Lumiknolls produce Glow Sap out of impurities in the soil around them, making it safe for Pellet Posies to bloom. Lumiknolls lure in enemies with the same electromagnetic signals that Onions use to communicate with Pikmin. The natural energy of a Lumiknoll disintegrates corpses, Turing them into Glow Pellets. Once a Lumiknoll has survived its first night, it creates crystals around it that allow Onions to land and leaves behind a core that activates every subsequent night.

•Pikmin have a hivemind-esque intelligence where they act independently but communicate and share their experiences with their Onion, allowing the species to become smarter over time.

•Pikmin have a very simplistic language known as Pikkish with a few main phrases;

-Howa- Carry

-Whaoh- Fight (Includes digging)

-Wie- Multiply (also used to refer to the Onion)

-Toka- Eaten (used synonymously with “death” as a whole)

-Danor- Time (associated with sunset, sunrise, and optimization)

-Orima- Leader (phrase only used after Olimar’s original crash)

•Glow Pikmin do not act like regular Pikmin or speak their language. Instead, they use a separate language known only as “Nightspeak”;

-Ehu- Grow (meaning carrying pellets back to Lumiknolls or Tricknolls)

-Heuho- Hunt (specifically going out towards enemies)

-Huohe- Protect (specifically protecting a Lumiknoll or Tricknoll. Nobody knows why there is a distinction between Heuho and Huohe.)

-Yiiiii- Glowmob (a command towards the other glow pikmin to form a glowmob)

-Rehoho- Strategy (Tricknoll, or the coming of sunrise.)

•Glow Pikmin do not have a word for “Lumiknoll”

•Pikmin were developed a decade before humanity was wiped out in order to fight the effects of climate change by growing plants across the world. They followed humans around as they walked, planting seeds as they did so. In the final days of humanity, the Onions were developed alongside the Mamutas and placed in the Svalbard Seed Vault. 90% of humans left Earth while the remaining ones were wiped out.

Hot damn I love this community sometimes

Favorite game is probably 4, 3 is a close one tho (My order from fav to least fav: Pikmin 4, Pikmin 3/Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2, Pikmin Bloom (if that counts lol), That One Nintendo Land Pikmin Game, and Hey, Pikmin!) (2 isn't a bad game, it's just not my cup of tea. The music slaps tho)

Yes I have played Hey, Pikmin! and while it's not a good Pikmin game, it's a pretty decent game (You get me? Like, it's a decent game with a pretty good concept, the formula just doesn't work in the Pikmin series.)

I have cried when playing every Pikmin game, some when I was a child. I did cry at both the Pikmin 3, and Pikmin 4 credits. Shut up, it was wonderful dude

I still almost tear up at the Pikmin 3 credits. Dude that shit is sad for some reason idk why

I also did cry at the trailer for Pikmin 3 Deluxe and both of Pikmin 4's. I love this series if you can't tell.

My favorite type is Yellow, if you can't tell

And finally, I have beaten Pikmin 3 so many times on the Wii U, I got so bored that I did a 1 type of fruit a day challenge. I did it. I lived. It was funny as hell. I have made that game beg for mercy and the Plasm Wraith has become my play thing. (I love 3 so much lmao)

October 15 - 2023

Today was Timburr Community Day and I caught 23 shiny Timburr, and I leveled up to 47! Me and my parents have been taking walks in a nearby forest called "Mågamon" this month and I've never played Pokémon GO there before, but I tried to today and I thought I would have no connection and that there would be no spawn points whatsoever. But nope, I had spawns the entire 3,5 km. I also made sure to walk 10k steps for Pikmin Bloom's Community Day.

I really wish the forest was closer to where I lived, it's not close enough to walk there and I can't drive. It's so much nicer to walk through the forest and I feel like I would have the confidence to start running since it's more secluded and you very rarely meet other people there.

Anyway, today is Sunday and I've been very productive this week. I cleaned my entire apartment and got a bunch of boring chores done, like pausing my contact lens subscription. Things have just worked out, even things outside my control.
