Wedding days should be a joyous event for the bride, but, unfortunately, Sansa's being forced into a marriage that she doesn't want, into the Lannister family. For this dress, Michele [Clapton] wanted it to be a confined, restricted bodice shape with bare, vulnerable arms. She wanted an embroidered band that would wrap around the bodice and tell Sansa's life story.

Obviously we imagined that the wedding dress has been commissioned by Cersei and the Lannisters for Sansa, and so the embroidery would have come from Cersei's mind. We guessed that it wouldn't be romantic or lovely and girly and pretty with dainty flowers, but a real strong message of dominance, saying that we own you now, Sansa.For the wedding band, I started at the back of the waist with some Stark direwolves and Tully fish entwined that represent Sansa's parentage. Then, as we move to the side, the Lannister lion is tangling with the direwolf and emerging on top, representing Sansa being seduced and then controlled by members of the house of Lannister. As it moves up the center, there's a central ascending lion that's got a Baratheon-like crown, a nod to Joffrey's parentage. Quick thought: Mikasa’s love and the prodigal son

I shiver everytime I read “Mikasa is a slave”, “Mikasa should forget about Eren and do her own way”, “Mikasa’s development is non existent because she is just about being in love with Eren”, “her love is sick”.

It’s maybe because of my catholic ass but... have you ever heard about “unconditional love”? Unconditional love, slightly misunderstood by posmodern humanity with “being stupid and a slave because you shouldn’t love what hurts you”... To me is a way to put individualism over everything else and take for granted that:

1. people can’t make mistakes and have to be perfect (bc you are already perfect, don’t you?).

2. thus redemption doesn’t exist.

3. reinforced idea that relationships and human connection isn’t something you have to work hard in.

4. every single mistake people do, is to hurt you and they do it because they want to destroy your life and because they are pure evil.

Unconditional love means actually to love someone, have faith in their strength to go back to the right path. Is this blind love? Nope. Everything above is subjected to one important pinciple and this is critical thinking that helps us to difference between understandable unconditional love and stupidity.

Thus said: Mikasa’s love is founded on her perception of Eren and the faith she has for his kind side that he proved to her many times through at least his attempts of being worthy of everyone’s love. Just because of that, her nature allowed him to earn that feeling of her. And this shouldn’t be questioned from the perspective that this is an obsession or that she should do her own because it’s safer.

After Eren called her a slave and disregarded her feelings comparing them to imposed chains, she decided to keep believing her own inner reality to be the right way.

We were taught to discard everything that hurts us regardless of others and label those who don’t do the same as sick. I reject this. Everyone does what they thinks it’s right and following their nature, feelings and critical thinking.

For the fallen angel that commited the worst sin of history, Isayama depicts through Mikasa the possibility to be redeemed. To come back home after ruining everything and realizing he did wrong. As the prodigal son. That kind of love doesn’t belong to humanity. It belongs to god. We are those, who can’t forgive and whose egos get hurt by other humans that are as imperfect as we are.

I just want to appreaciate that Isayama gave her this capacity. Either if Eren deserves it or not, it doesn’t matter. I think that the existence of those kind of god-like feelings are a hope that should be appreciated. To redeem a devil the human isn’t enough.

Monday 2nd December 2019 - Drawing From Life: Beasts Workshop

The aim of this task was to make sure we as srtists still knew the basics of art and life drawing while understanding the main pinciples of it being looking and drawing and looking and drawing. I think the purpose of this task was to understand the basics of drawing from life and not having to worry too much about how things turn out aswell as understanding the main premisis of it - looking and drawing. This is very different to what weve been doing at school since we’ve all been allowed to draw in our own styles and what we find comfortable, or trace over footage that we either: have given to us or we create it ourself, but now we have to stray from that and come out of our comfort zone to expand our knowledge and skills in different mediums and styles. I found it very hard to do since my style is very cartoon-y, stylized and far from life so this challenged me so much to create something that I had liked in a style im not comfortable with nor can achieve very well. On the other hand, I can see the potential with this as, like I mentioned earlier, it expands my skills and comprehension in different mediums, skills and styles to then apply and build up my own style and way of doing things for the future. I can see how it would be needed in our current brief since we were sketching real animal skulls from life which we could then afterwards stylize then include in our charcater designs. However, I didn’t include any animal skulls in my charcter designs since the story im creating includes nothing like that since I hope to indulde no death of animals or anyone (I hope)

5. (Pre Year One) Foundation Projects

This task were to create a piece/s of fashion accessory or garment which is made up of recycled materials. I developed ideas from making mind maps and looked at inspiration of other recycled items. For this task I created a sunhat and newspaper sari (aimed at females) made entirely out of newspapers and magazine cut outs. Materials involved were such as crisp packets, a loofa, feathers, scrunched paper balls and newspaper created a hat.

Designers who I have looked at that used recycled materials include ‘Beyond Retro,’ ‘Patagonia’ and ‘Fanfare.’

Creating a Chindogu Product - fashion, purpose and humour 

My product included making a raincoat for a mobile phone. 

Pinciples are of Chindogu:  Must be (almost) completely useless, must exist, represent freedom of thought and action, uselessness must be understood by all audiences (ie not just specialists), are not for sale, propaganda, or patented, without prejudice, and humour must not be the sole reason for making Chindogu.

This task involved designing and producing an individual idea of ‘Chindogu’ (an ultimately 'useless’ and humerous) product.  The “Chindogu” is defined as an “unusual gadget, originally created as the solution to a particular problem, although effectively it hardly has any utility whatsoever, it’s really almost useless.” (www.google.com).

My Chindogu involved during phone usage when either light or heavy rain showers, this smudges the visibility of the screen during usage in these conditions (including waterproof phones). Therefore the invention of a 'mini’ mobile phone raincoat. The invention works well and is creative for a problem for this particular time period. Examples of this can be at outdoor concerts, or checking social media whilst waiting for public transport. Users can put the mobile in the raincoat to stop it from it getting wet, imitating a human and human raincoat.

During development I prototyped with a cellophane ‘cape’ initially, but found this was not very imaginative or useful and therefore expanded this by thinking of a raincoat.

I used a real life raincoat as material, template with paper a raincoat to cut around and stick on to the coat, to then hand sew the back and front to form the construction of the raincoat. I then slotted the phone inside to make sure it could fit any mobile. I cut from the bottom of the coat to use the functioning zip, and then cut and sewed a hood at the top.

Freestyle Fashion Art

For this task I chose to create a ‘freestyle’ series of three mini projects based on a on my own interests including ordinary objects to create fashion dresses with hand sketched models. I used pencil crayons, ribbons, pom poms and spaghetti each stuck down with glue and/or blue tack. This was inspired from looking on social media such as instagram which then further developed from this to make a project from simple materials I like and are ‘fun’. I then looked at the shapes of things that then formed to make into things I enjoy such as fashion ball gowns and merged the two together.

Second, it must be big leave species. Among those protection are, there are big leave species, middle leave species and small leave species, only big leave species tea leave made into Puerh tea are called strictly Puerh.

第三是晒青。普洱茶青毛茶的干燥方式必须是"日光干燥",即晒青，晒青的目的是为了保持普洱茶酶的活性，保证它的后发酵。这是普洱茶区别于其他茶的关键工艺之一。

Third, Sunning green.The drying way must be sunning dry by sun, for protecting Puerh tea activity, assure Puerh tea fermentation next step. This is one of key processing distinct with other teas.

第四是后发酵。普洱茶是在晒青毛茶的基础上，紧压成型然后自然发酵，或者是用晒青毛茶经过人工渥堆发酵，这两种方式都是后发酵，区别于红茶、乌龙茶的发酵过程。

Forth, After fermentation. Puerh tea is based on Maocha material, be squeezed into shapes and then fermentat.The other way is fermentated by artificial. All these two fermentation ways are after-fermentation, which is very different with black tea or Wulong tea’s fermentation.

相对于其他种类的茶，普洱茶的原料中有树龄古老的古树茶，古树茶除了有更丰富的内质外，还追求山野气韵和山头特征，因此普洱茶的茶味茶气更足，耐泡度更高。此外普洱茶的工艺强调日晒干燥，保留茶叶中的活性酶，让普洱茶可以长期存放，不断变化。

Compared with other kinds of tea, Puerh tea material has aged tree tea leaves, these old tree make their leaves has rich embedded substance, and own wilderness and mountains properties. So these Puerh tea has strong Cha properties, long-lasting and consistency. Besides, Puerh tea processing technology stress sunning dry technology, keep activities of leaves, make tea could be stocked long time and keep on changing.
