Reading Chalice of the Gods and I’m so confused cuz the original book came out in 2005 and this takes place 6 years later but so far they’ve referenced the movie “A Star is Born” and referred to older kids as millennials in a very othering way so when tf does this take place? It should be like 2011 but it’s acting like it’s modern day

just thought of the very likely possibility that not only have the actors in PJO grown up with the books, but the writers have as well and that would explain so much about the care and deep understanding of the characters they seem to have and the things they are choosing to focus on (compared to a bunch of clueless adults with no connection to the source material trying to write towards market trends or whatever tf happened before)
