Boys Just Want to Have Fun
There is just something about playing in the dirt that attract men and boys like a moth to a flame! After finishing up the field work, a few local Morrisonville farmers had a bit of John Deere plowing fun. The blue sky and mild temperatures made for a nice day to turn the soil.
Plow history
Everything changed for farmers with the invention of the steel self-scouring moldboard plow. John Deere…

I hope Kipperlily Copperkettle isn’t actually evil or the big bad or anything, instead I want her to just be annoying as fuck and get in the way of everything the Bad Kids do. Just like my actual high school experience.

I love Chiyo- and I kind of headcanon her as a Witch of the Woods (Sands???) archetype- a bitter old woman who has sacrificed too much, experienced and committed more atrocities than anyone can imagine, and who knows the truth about what lies in the hearts of men to live among the villages anymore.
In my AU she's got a pretty dark backstory. Back in time when Villages were just getting established, women weren't allowed to be shinobi in the same capacity as men. There was too much warring and death among the clans to risk women, so they were only ever allowed to serve as spies or medics. (Chiyo started off as a medic).
And like any military/fascist dictatorship, serving the state was more important than anything else- so women who were kunoichi were given missions to steal and return with powerful bloodlines. Even before villages, this was a common fear among clans (which is why so many of them have protective measures and inbreed/arrange matches very carefully).
Chiyo was one such woman, who took a X-rated mission in her youth because she was told it would 'serve her nation'. There was a powerful bloodline whose Kekkei Genkai could harden sand to something akin to Steel- something Suna very desperately wanted.
Chiyo succeeded in her mission, but despite the veneer of 'serving your nation', when she returned, she was considered, in her words, "Just another whore."
Then when her son didn't manifest the bloodline- it was worse, but Chiyo was happy because that meant her son was HERS. (This is when she met Enji, and he saved her son's life at great cost- so Chiyo owes him a blood/life debt.)
Then the war came, and they needed women to fight so now serving the nation meant something different, and Chiyo became a full fledged 'shinobi' and turned her healing towards poison and death- especially when she had to fight the Salamander.
Then she sealed Gaara and that was the atrocity straw that broke the camel's back and she dipped out Suna and retired to an oasis. She's still a healer, but adamantly refuses to serve shinobi.
Once again, thank you so much for these asks and all the support for this AU?

Currently, I’d say my biggest criticism of the Fallout show (that I hope theyll address in season 2) is the lack of focus on actual wastelanders.
You only really see things from the perspective of sheltered youngsters or the Uber-cynic ghoul. All the actual wastelanders they encounter are basically crazed killers or canon fodder.
I get that’s the point, at least for now: to show that the wasteland is harsh and our cast aren’t quite equipped to handle it. But if they want to tackle these big themes, if they want to actually explain why this world is worth saving from the vault tec baddies, or why the ghoul cowboy should value human life, I think they need to do a little more work next season on the people actually living in this world.
Show a settlement that’s gotten together. Or a family that’s nice to the cast. Or just have someone from the wastes who just waves to them and shoots the breeze. The current presentation of wastelanders makes them seem so cartoonish and inhuman, when there can be so much more nuance to how people behave in that kind of world. I just really hope they try to actually dig into that kind of humanity to wasteland life in season 2

Ever since I said I don't like a certain character I've gotten a bunch of asks and enquiries along the lines of "oh no what awful horrible unforgivable thing did [character] do to make you hate them" so I think it's a good time just to remember that characters don't have to be the most horrible person in the cast for you not to personally like them but especially taking into account that I personally really shouldn't be saying I hate a character due to my very high moral standards considering I spent a good year on this site talking about my very public adoration of Canonical-child-murderer mcgee
