so I just finished my first run through of Stray Gods aka that visual novel musical based on Greek mythos and,,,you know how there are visual novels that don't have romance as the MAIN point but yet still have romance routes in them? Like you get the MAIN gist of the game with or without those romance routes - like, those romance routes are simply side dishes that add more to enjoy with the main course? Yea it seems to be like that with most of the romance routes here in Stray Gods and I'm not saying that as a bad thing at all BUT MY GOD FREDDIE'S ROUTE ISN'T LIKE THAT AT ALL LIKE IT ACTUALLY IS THE MOST PERSONALLY AND EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED ROUTE FOR ME BY THE THIRD ACT THAT IT KIND OF CHANGES THE MAIN COURSE ENTIRELY AND I MEAN THAT IN A VERY GOOD WAY-

#I CANT EVEN BRING MYSELF TO LIKE TALK ABOUT IT YET HERE RN #bECAUSE I ACTUALLY WANT ALL OF YOU GUYS TO PLAY STRAY GODS #aND DO FREDDIE'S ROUTE FIRST LIKE JUST TRUST ME ON THIS #IT ACTUALLY MAKES THE STAKES OF THE GAME EVEN MORE PERSONAL #WHICH MAKES THE THIRD ACT EVEN MORE EMOTIONALLY POIGNANT LIKE LEGITIMATELY DO FREDDIE'S ROUTE FIRST #like gjdjd it adds a whole other layer to the climax and the escalation of the conflict ESPECIALLY in act 3 #like out of all the routes this one seems like the most 'canon' not just because its the most believable #given Grace's and Freddie's history snd that #but by the 3rd act it seems like its the most personally involved with grace. the other routes are very much so focused on the other peeps #but wiTH THIS! #saskia plays starfield #i had a lot of fun last night tbh #i started the uc questline and i was pleasantly surprised how the quests where written tbh #i had a lot of personal conversations with my companions which i loved! her background and some perk she has coming up during dialogue #i did the mantis quest which was awesome #just! yesterday was great #but today. god so many instances where i was just dissociating through them loading screens again #counting damn sheep until my protag finally managed to walk 8787m through an empty planet to reach some quest area.....#it feels like im doing work sometimes which is not good #just. there is so much where im like ''god i cant wait until there is a mod for that'' dunno man. rather would have bugs rn than that #the beginning is so slow and then it becomes good. just to be constantly disrupted by its flaws #and dont get me started how unfortunate it is that new atlantis is the central hub and first impression the player gets of the game #the blandest city i have encountered yet #there are just. a couple things where i just dont understand what toddy and co. where thinking #actually i do understand but i wish it was different. oh well #sorry about the rant if anyone is reading this lmaooooo #i just hope tomorrow will be a good starfield day again. i paid enough money for this damn game #just imagine how this game could be if it where all on one map like bethy games usually are. i cannot imagine i would rant about it

I feel like I physically cannot shut up about how excited I am for the Diasomnia book. I've been here since all we had was that one Malleus promo pic.

When all we had was the name of the dormitories and the villains they were based on.

I was on the official website everyday refreshing the page to see if they had finally released the characters' profiles.

When the first glimpse we got of the relationship between the Dia boys was that one illustration Yana Toboso made for the release of Maleficent 2.

I was one of the people screaming and crying and throwing up because the Diasomnia students' SR Ceremonial Robes cards didn't even exist yet, so I had to choose Idia as my first card 😭

It took a while but we're finally here 🌻

It's been an honor to experience the journey so far with you guys 🫂

i finished p4g again yayyyy. now... i think im going to replay every p4 spinoff

that art of L deathnote got me thinking about death note and like......... im not even against l/light as a ship conceptually its just like i cant stand the way fandom does it.

like. theyre a lierally judas and jesus paralells theyre toxic. you have to be an L understander to get why he is obsessed with light and its not because he has this cute gay crush on him. and i REALLY dont get the people who like woobify light and make it so ‘kira’ is like a possession like???? thats not the point of any of this why are you even using these characters for this? it confuses me

but anyway i can support L/light ONLY if its done in a very specific way, thats very toxic and almost one-sided (or maybe unbalanced is a better word) not because Lights not interested (hes so like misogynist gay we all know this) in L but because he can NEVER understand L the way L understands him and thats all L wants is to be seen and to be on that level with someone. and thats the tragedy of their friendship is that L sees this person he can contend with and he can meet on his level but the same cannot be said for light.

but anyway ive never seen anyone who ships l/light do it that way specifically so ill continue to be a hater.

#so far I've gotten the first two endings #plus the mr. mushroom one but Im not sure if that counts as a separate ending #radiance is kicking my ass rn #better than grimm though cuz grimm has been absolutely wrecking me every time I go into that fight #so far I've defeated all the dream variants minus lost kin and ive only done the white defender and grey prince zote once each #also not looking forward to going back into the coliseum again for the trial of the fool #and im still yet to touch the godseeker and pantheon stuff #almost finished with the hunters journal though and ive got all the charms/masks/vessels which is nice #in a while I'll probably play back through it again but in steel soul mode but I don't know if I'll do a completionist run #I might but I'll live if I don't get ALL the achievements #though I will say #after trying at radiance so many times I've gotten REALLY good at fighting the Hollow Knight with minimal effort #mainly I just whale on the guy since I've got the fully upgraded nail and the unbreakable strength charm #I love this game so fucking much
