i think there's a parallel to be said about sylvie and ravonna, both either loki or mobius' previous close-female-friend/love interest, pushing them away and FORCING THEM TO FIND SOLACE AND COMPANIONSHIP IN EACH OTHER. like. i cannot be the only one seeing this.

sylvie, the one person loki believed might understand him, someone he probably loved/loves (as gross as that was, it was canon), tells him she doesn't ever want to see him again, refuses to help him, straight up tells him to go away and get out of her life.

ravonna, mobius' one and only friend throughout his (post-memory-wipe) life in the TVA, someone he probably loved platonically seeing how long they spent together, tells him she can't trust him, refuses to help him, straight up tried to kill him and likely would again.

the ones they once trusted, the ones they would have gone to for help and teamwork when faced with a word-ending threat, don't want anything to do with them. and, in mobius' case at least, that feeling is mutual.

so it makes sense that, automatically, loki and mobius chose each other. time and time again. their respective partners-in-world-saving have gone absolutely savage at them, so they find companionship and alliance in each other and work together. their relationship has developed so much because of this -- because the only person who will help them is the other. there is barely a moment on screen when one isn't seen without the other close by. they are becoming closer and closer, and their friendship is being delved into far deeper than the previous season when they were all hung up with their respective “allies” and apart half the time.

if i wasn't well-versed in disney's queerbaiting history, i would say this is the perfect setup for a love story.
