The ancient hyakinthos was (probably) LARKSPUR. Not hyacinths. My clown ass spent ages trying to find the Ai in hyacinth petals, and I couldn’t because it was a different flowers!

On the chaste tree note they also thought it made women less horny + made them lactate so uh. there’s that.

I know we all know but they used a LOT of poisons as cures, especially for madness. Granted, death does mean you can’t have madness anymore, so maybe they were on to something (/s). Such ‘cures’ include hemlock which they literally used to kill criminals? I don’t fucken know man this shit is wild
