Expanding a little on König being a Colonel
So I like to think maybe he was promoted unusually early. Early enough that it drew a lot of attention. Sometime in his 30′s?
He’s talented, smart, and has probably been something of a prodigy. Maybe there was some sort of incredibly critical mission he’d been involved in that went sideways, and he singlehandedly managed to salvage a near-guranteed loss into a success.
This caught the eye of his superiors, he got his promotion to Colonel, and some of the older but lower rank men did not particularly like this. Maybe during a mission, they refused to follow his orders and caused a huge mess. Since he’s the leader, it was his responsibility to control his men, so he took a vast majority of the blame.
I think König might have been a little naive, thinking that as long as you give good results, people will respect you. Having people undermine him out of jealousy was completely foreign to him (he grew up with people treating him like an oddity, not someone to be envious of) and it left a very bad taste in his mouth, leading to him leaving the military and joining KorTac.
Hell, KorTac is supposed to be the “bad guys” (I think) so maybe it went beyond disillusion and into full on bitterness and spite. Purposely joining a PMC with a bad reputation (but a tendency to get great results due to their ruthlessness) as a ‘fuck you‘ to his superiors.
They didn’t just lose rare talent, that talent joined the enemy.

Hello, I'm really late to the oc ask game but if you haven't done the 🪩 yet I'm sending that one for any oc or ocs!
Have a lovely day or night! 🩷
Hi!! Don't worry, you're not late at all 😁
🪩 Disco Ball- What was an achievement that your OC felt worthy of celebrating? Was it a personal victory or a big impact on everyone around them?
When Sunako accepted the invite into the Shadow Company, she thought it was amazing. Imagine: one of Korea's 707th prodigies gets a shot in America working for a PMC. She went out with some of her close teammates that night and drank away. Not only was it a personal victory, but plenty of her comrades were proud of her.
God, bless that child. She had no idea what she got herself roped into.

mankai company: cyberpunk
I never asked for this. But that’s just how ideas work, ain't it? One minute you’re mindlessly going through the daily grind, and the next moment it hits ya like a sucker punch to the gut. Then your mind’s racing, and you think: Why not? Whaddaya have to lose? You’ve rambled your way through semi-coherent flashes of inspiration before. Why should this one be different?
Note: everyone is aged up, oh, let’s say at least five years. Also, long post is long. I’m not joking. The page break is there for a reason.
Tumblr media
Mankai Company is a modest-sized corporation specialising in biotechnology and cybernetics. But operating beneath its public face is a semi-covert band of mercs, private eyes, and fixers called Kaga Solutions, fully-equipped to navigate the mean city streets on command. Their founder and CEO, Yukio Tachibana, has recently disappeared; as per his express wishes, the company leadership is transferred to his estranged daughter, Izumi.
Tumblr media
Izumi Tachibana: the new CEO, more experienced in programming than in biotech, she wants to lead Mankai in a new direction focused on augmented reality and fluid human-machine interfacing, while also investigating her father's disappearance with its covert Kaga operatives.
Isuke Matsukawa: Yukio's—and now Izumi's—personal assistant who also handles most of the day-to-day finances, a seemingly bumbling man with hidden talents. He has more connections than you'd expect, and his loyalty is bone-deep.
Yuzo Kashima: a major shareholder in the company whose investments helped Yukio jump-start his dream into reality. Initially skeptical of Izumi's direction, he slowly grows to believe in her vision, even if he's still brutally honest about many things. He's aware of Kaga and the hidden side of Mankai, and is implied to have once partaken in it more personally.
Tetsuro Iwai: the local hardware genius. If you need something built, he'll figure out how to do it in record time. He's happy to work with the old boss' daughter, even if her ideas can stretch him to his limits sometimes.
Ken Sakoda: nobody's really sure what his official job is. He's just always there, usually appearing out of nowhere to do whatever Sakyo asks him to (there's rumours of a personalised cloaking device). This ranges from coffee runs to, ah, semi-legal inventory procurement.
Kamekichi: a robot parrot Yukio personally built as a pet project. Originally a prototype for robotic therapy animals, his code gave birth to his own emergent sassy personality.
Tumblr media
Sakuya Sakuma: head of Engineering, what he lacks in experience he makes up in talent and dedication. Has politely declined playing a more active role in Kaga's assignments, declaring his current job to already be his dream job anyhow.
Masumi Usui: a tech prodigy, a quick learner who's always keen to impress Izumi for reasons which may not be strictly professional. Built his own memory implants from scratch, and is always willing to help with Kaga if ever asked.
Tsuzuru Minagi: the top dog when it comes to programming and software. Tends to overwork himself, especially at crunch time, but he writes top-notch code that leave Mankai's competitors scratching their heads. Also helps oversee and plan Kaga's missions, especially when it comes to concocting cover stories and identities.
Itaru Chigasaki: yet another punch-clock worker whose only skills lie in testing and bugfixing… or so he'd have you believe. In reality, he's one of Kaga's most reliable operatives, using his salaryman persona to relieve suspicion and gain people's trust. By the time his targets notice the "GG EZ" hacked onto every screen, it's too late.
Citron: another Kaga operative, people see him and think he's the expat office worker who struggles to string a coherent sentence together, so they don't always pay attention to what they say around him. Big mistake. If he can't evade you in conversation, then he'll evade you the traditional way and vanish seemingly into thin air.
Chikage Utsuki: formerly Itaru's senior at their old job, who followed him to Mankai for reasons of his own. He does minor coding for them now, but his primary focus is on being a field agent for Kaga, where his charm and covert investigative skills really come into play.
Tumblr media
Tenma Sumeragi: a former child actor, now the company's face, appearing in advertisements and endorsements. He's great at both presenting Mankai's personable, human-interest agenda and selling Kaga's sharp professionalism to potential clients.
Yuki Rurikawa: hired fresh out of university, his sharp sense of aesthetics led Izumi to trust him with practically all of their product design. Every concept has to have his seal of approval before moving to the production stage. He also handles disguises for Kaga's operations.
Muku Sakisaka: formerly slated to compete in the Olympics before an accident, he now provides another public face for Mankai alongside Tenma. He writes a good deal of the company's promotional material, and has a strong sense of what would affect their clients.
Misumi Ikaruga: officially, he tests the more physical cybernetics, such as Sakuya's impact-dampeners or Tasuku's mountain-climbing legs; his videos performing literally superhuman parkour feats often end up as promotional material. Under the table, he's Kaga's go-to operative for situations requiring speed and agility.
Kazunari Miyoshi: head of the PR department, in charge of keeping their public image in the positive while also keeping Kaga’s activities mostly out of attention. He keeps everyone in the loop with current affairs, often feeding intel to his old friend Tsuzuru for planning.
Kumon Hyodo: baseball's new rising star, he started doing sponsorship and endorsement deals after Muku and Juza introduced him to Izumi. He's enthusiastic about working with them and often helps coming up with ideas for reaching into the sports demographic.
Tumblr media
Banri Settsu: a bio-augmentation enthusiast and grey hat hacker, he once breached Mankai's firewalls basically out of boredom; when Izumi tracked him down, she decided to offer him a job in her cybersecurity division, and he agreed. Of course, as soon as he hears about Kaga, he all but jumps into it headlong.
Juza Hyodo: wanted to be a cop as a kid; that was before the city's corrupt police force disenchanted him of the idea. His cousin Muku convinced him to work for Mankai, so he thought he'd give the corporate samurai gig a chance. His earnest dedication quickly wins him a spot on Kaga, as do his excellent combat skills.
Taichi Nanao: initially a mole from Godza, sent to tear Kaga apart from within, he went turncoat within months and is now their primary source on Godza's methods and internal affairs. He balances quick and dirty combat tactics with his boyish charm and knack at appearing harmless.
Omi Fushimi: former military, honourably discharged after a terrorist attack took out his best friend and left him heavily injured. Now he works for Mankai as head of security, with a bit of unofficial HR thrown in there. Unlike the rest of Akigumi, he isn't part of Kaga, as he believes his focus should be on keeping the company safe and secure.
Sakyo Furuichi: head of Kaga, and its oldest member still on active duty. These days he mostly sticks to mission control, but occasionally lends support on the field if he deems it necessary. His sharp mind and eye for patterns makes him particularly good at planning missions, exit strategies, and backup plans.
Azami Izumida: the son of a yakuza boss who decided to leave the family business behind to strike out on his own, he still keeps a number of his old underworld contacts. Officially an intern, he's also eager to get into fieldwork with Kaga, putting his years of swordsmanship lessons to use.
Tumblr media
Tsumugi Tsukioka: head of biotech, his research on how cranial implants can be used to treat sleep disorders turned him—and Mankai—into a household name. He infrequently lends a hand to Kaga by developing and fine-tuning their cybernetics.
Tasuku Takato: a former member of Godza, he quit his job to work for Mankai instead, and is now a valued member of their biotech team. He specialises in developing prosthetics for their more athletic clients, and like Tsumugi, focuses on his R&D most of the time.
Hisoka Mikage: formerly working for a similar fixer/PMC group, a near-fatal neuro-implant malfunction caused him to forget everything that happened since its installation. As Mankai found him, removed the bad implant, and nursed him back to health, he thought it's just apt to repay the debt by working for them. One of Kaga's most well-rounded operatives, he is strongest in stealth and wetwork.
Homare Arisugawa: an eccentric professor to his core; his studies range from urban to agrarian, sprawling across fields and topics, but his passion project lies in developing ocular implants that can read micro-expressions on the fly, allowing its owner to identify and record people's emotional reactions easily.
Azuma Yukishiro: the face of the biotech divison, he works closely with Mankai's clients to help them find the perfect cybernetics for their personal needs. He also often gleans information and gossip from his endless well of unsuspecting acquaintances and old contacts, passing them on to Kaga for their missions.
Guy: a friend of Citron's from his homeland; extensively cybernetically augmented after a major accident years ago, he claims to be more machine than human by this point. Ostensibly Homare's research assistant, he is a field agent for Kaga, equally skilled in hacking as he is in hand-to-hand combat.

The Decline in the Number of Black Male Medical Doctors
AAMC Report
We reviewed the 2015 AAMC report: Altering the Course: Black Males in Medicine to understand some of the factors contributing to 35 years of an overall declining trend of Black males in medicine. The report aimed to point out and help describe drivers of the decline of Black males applying and matriculating by delving into success factors, challenges and the role that academic medicine can play. Some successful influences are clear. For instance, a supportive network for a student serves as an essential component for academic success. Support sources help students navigate through challenges and aid in the development of resilience and extroverted personal attributes [1]. The accessibility of information within these social networks also can expose students to medical career options and ways to pursue them. Challenges influencing whether a Black male will apply or matriculate in a medical school program are multifaceted. For instance, financial cost, bias/stereotypes, imagery/career attractiveness and underperforming schools are factors within the trend of Black males in medicine. To appeal to young Black men, information on available resources and expansion of funding sources are needed to improve the application and matriculation rates. Financial costs of higher education can be a deterrent for those interested in medicine. Bias and stereotype perceptions also serve as barriers to study medicine. Negative media depictions of minorities can result in internalization of stereotypes and affect educational attainment and therefore achievement of career path goals. Another challenge involves underperforming schools impacting student educational eligibility. The high probability of Black males attending underperforming schools which lack pre-medical resources and experiencing teachers that lack cultural awareness influences the number of students in “the pipeline”. Similar to the supportive network mentioned above, Black males need Black physician role models within their communities and medical schools to increase career attractiveness [1]. In addition, academic leadership should be active and responsive to the absence of Black males in medical education in order to facilitate change and sustainability. With numbers of Black males matriculating to medical school not exceeding those from 1978—despite the prodigious expansion of medical schools in the US—the data and recommendations from the 2015 AAMC report demonstrate the ongoing need for broad efforts to support the development of a diverse and culturally competent physician workforce.

PMC Prodigy Speakers Open Day December 9th, Hear The Multi Award Winning Speakers That Really Punch Above Their Price Point!
Tumblr media
Hi Everyone,
So it has been a busy old year for open days this year and they have all been really popular and a lot of fun so thanks to everyone who has come along to any of them, to wrap up 2023 we are going to squeeze one more in and being that we love our PMC Speakers at HiFi Lounge I couldn't think of a better way to see the year out than with an open day to showcase the new Prodigy speakers from PMC on December the 9th.
These may be a new entry level speaker from PMC but they are still all hand made in the UK and contain all off PMC's technology that are in their bigger brothers like their Advanced Transmission Line and Laminair porting system so priced at £1250 for the Prodigy 1 and £1995 for the Prodigy 5 they are still very much a PMC speaker giving that sound we all love so much, I have owned PMC speakers myself at home for nearly 20 years now so it is always exciting when they bring something new out and I know that anyone who has listened to the Prodigy range has been so impressed with the sound you get for the money that it is no surprise they have been winning awards all over the world.
Systems on the Day!
I don't want to go crazy with the equipment driving the Prodigy's on the day keeping the price points quite well aligned so in our upstairs demo room we will be running the Prodigy 1 standmounts with a brand that I have always loved and very recently bought back on at HFL, Heed Audio, we will use their Elixir Integrated Amplifier and Abacus streaming DAC, then downstairs in our frst demo room we will run the floorstanding Prodigy 5's with the new and brilliant Arcam A25 Class A Integrated with their ST5 streamer, this new Arcam kit really is excellent and from personal experience I know how well PMC and Arcam work together so we will have 2 great sounding rooms.
PMC Fenestria's singing in the High-End Room!
So just because we can we thought it would be fun to show the other end of the PMC speaker range and we have decided to run the mighty PMC Fenestria's in our end demo room powered by a pair of Bryston kilowatt 28B3 Monoblocks and a full dCS Vivaldi Apex front end, so I guess this little lot will tot up to around £200k so all a little bit bonkers but it will show the lineage from where the Prodigy range has come from and you will be able to hear the PMC family sound in each room from the huge Fenestria down to the Prodigy 1.
RSVP Please!
We will have representative here from PMC on the day to help run things and answer any questions and as normal we will have food and drinks available throughout the day, surely it has got to be time for a mince pie or 2, if you can just fire over a quick mail to the below that will be much appreciated, thanks -
So that will be a wrap on open days for 2023 but it sounds like a great way to end the year to me so look forward to seeing you on December 9th, please find a link to the PMC Prodigy Range on our website below -
All the best,
Regards,
Paul.

Naim 300 Series Open Day - November 25th! Timed Demos So Please Book Your Slot ASAP!
Tumblr media
Hi Everyone,
Well this is a first, in 11 years of HFL we have never had 2 open days from the same manufacturer in the same year but then it is such big news when Naim bring out 2 new ranges months apart that we are delighted to have our 2nd Naim open day in 2023, this time showcasing the new 300 Series system, which all I can say really does sound excellent, we’ve had it running for a couple of months now so it is well and truly run in.
The Days Plan
So whereas the Naim open day earlier in the year focused on the new 3 box 200 Series this time the open day will be running through all different permutations there are with the new Classic ranges, so starting with a 2 box system comprising of the NSC 222 + NAP 250 then working through every variation till we end up with a full 6 box 300 series running, this will really show the context and sound upgrades of each step change which actually will be really interesting to hear.
We will be running the PMC Fact.12 Signatures on this system as I know for the 200 Series event the speakers we ran weren’t for everyone but our most popular combo is Naim with PMC so I know everyone will love the sound for this day.
Book your slot
The above demo will last around 90 minutes and will be run by Mark Raggett, who many of you will know and has been at Naim for many, many years with Darren here also who many of you would have met for the 200 Series launch event, there will also be a Q&A session and also Mark will run through how to mix the legacy Naim equipment with the new kit where Naim give the cables required to make this work for free, which can be worth 100’s of pounds.
This is bound to be a popular event as all Naim events are, we will be running 3 timed slots, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm so if you would like to come along please can you send me a mail to the below with your favoured time slot, thanks -
Free Power-Line Draw
Also Naim have kindly given us one of their Power-Line Mains cables (worth £649) to give away on the day so for everyone that registers we will do a draw on the Saturday morning so we can give that to the lucky winner when they come in.
Final bits
We will also have our upstairs demo room running with the limited edition Nait 50 integrated amp which is such a cool idea where Naim revisited their Nait one form 1983 and basically did a continuation of it to celebrate their 50th anniversary and as usual we will have refreshments available, please find a link below to Naim on our website -
https://hifilounge.co.uk/product-category/brands/naim/
Bentley With Naim In Car Audio
We are hopeful that Bentley will be bringing one of their cars along which will be kitted out with a full Naim system which we will park outside for anyone to jump in and have a blast, I have heard this before and considering this is car audio it is pretty incredible so will be a great opportunity.
PMC Prodigy Open Day!
Finally just a quickie to say that on December 9th we are having our final open day of the year, we’ve certainly done a lot of open days this year which have all been great fun, this one is to showcase the new PMC Prodigy speakers, these are a new entry level PMC which really do punch above their weight, we will run the Prodigy 1 bookshelf’s upstairs with the Prodigy 5 floorstanders downstairs then in the High-End room we’ll get the mighty Fenestria’s singing so if you’d like to come to this also just fire me over a quick mail.
Phew, I think that covers everything and I look forward to seeing you on the 25th November for our Naim 300 Series event and on the 9th for our PMC Prodigy event.
All the best,
Regards,
Paul.

Happy Christmas From HFL + Albums Of The Year!
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to say a huge thanks for everyone’s support throughout 2023 and send out Christmas wishes for the coming holiday, it has been another great year at HFL, don’t know where it has gone to be honest, it has been a year packed full of great new product releases, demo’s, installs all over the country, many open days, following Bruce Springsteen round Europe, which there will be more of next year I’m glad to say, meeting loads of great people, new and familiar faces, plenty of talk about music from all genres, just basically doing the HFL things, this really is the best job in the world so thanks again everyone for helping make 2023 so memorable.
The big new releases this year where from Naim with their new 200 and 300 series products which were 20+ years in the making but most certainly worth the wait, the new PMC prodigy Range, they may be their entry level range but they seriously punch above their price point, the new Arcam Radia range which has had an amazing response, so good to have Arcam back leading the way in their respective price points, we also had the new Sasha V’s from Wilson Audio which have found homes with some of our lucky customers, we also had the new Rega Naia flagship turntable, it may look similar to a Planar 8 or 10 but it is certainly a huge step up in sound quality, we also had the £60,000 Sennheiser HE1 headphone system on demo for a few months which was off the scale good so plenty of exciting new products there and I’m sure 2024 won’t disappoint either.
I have to say though that the biggest star of this year has been DeVore Fidelity which has become in a very short time one of our biggest brands which is incredible really for a brand a lot of people have not heard of but once people listen they fall under their spell, me included, we have the full Orangutan range here if you’d like a listen at any point and for next year I have ordered both pairs of the DeVore Gibbon speakers and I am also really excited to say that I have now ordered the £115,000 DeVore O/Reference speakers for demo that we will have here at some point which will do an open day around and hopefully John Devore will be coming over for. I actually took the O/Baby’s home last night for the Christmas break as I want to set up a small system in our snug, partnered with the Audio Research I/50 and a Rega Planar 8 I have to say it was incredible for a reasonably straightforward and not hugely expensive system, I lost hours listening, I can see me spending a lot of time in that room over the next week.
DeVore Fidelity O/Reference – Coming Soon to HFL
On a personal note it was great hitting the road again seeing Bruce Springsteen play, we went all round Europe seeing him 10 times but funnily enough the best gig was in Birmingham of all places, what a party that night was, those guys really know how to have a good time, Bruce is touring again next year with the E Street band, I have 10 shows lined up again which will take me past 100 Bruce gigs, can’t wait, especially as I have a feeling this could well be the last time he tours with the the E Street Band, there is nothing better in my view than seeing Bruce live. I also had a couple of great motorsport events, the first taking the Nascar up the Hill for 4 days at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, even though the Friday was terrifying trying to tame a 900hp monster on slicks in the wet with no windscreen wiper, it is a real honor to be invited to be part of such a special event and to get to hang out with a lot of my motorsport heroes but arguably an even bigger highlight was getting the restoration finished on our 1961 Lotus Formula Junior single seater in time to race at the Silverstone Festival and to be part of the 60 car grid, I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous entering a race, what a car to drive though.
I absolutely love these 2 pictures below taken of me by someone I met this year called Asa, you can follow him on Instagram by searching for ‘aced_it_images’ I’m on the left in the bottom picture, such a cool shot.
So looking back on 2023 it has been a brilliant year and I really can’t wait to see what adventures 2024 has in store for us.
Album of the Year
It’s always fun to look back at this time of the year on what I have been listening to most and especially what new releases I have enjoyed, as ever I have spent a lot of time listening to Gary Numan as I continue to explore his back catalogue, I only really got into him around 2-3 years ago but I am totally addicted now, how I missed him originally in the 80’s I don’t know, saw 2 brilliant concerts of his this year, one being acoustic which really was special but as for new releases I wouldn’t say it has been a brilliant year but one album really has shone above anything else that has come out this year and quite possibly in the last few years really, please find my top 3 below, well worth checking out.
Number 3
James blunt – Who We Used To Be.
Time to come out of the closet and admit that I am an unashamedly big James Blunt fan, I always have been and his new album certainly hasn’t changed that, I think a lot of people write him off too easily but if you actually listen to his lyrics they really are very deep and meaningful and actually quite dark and sad so please do give it a try.
Number 2
OMD – Bauhaus Staircase
Now I must admit that I have never been a big OMD fan, I like their hits from the 80’s but never listened to any of their albums but when Darren from Naim recommend I gave their new album a listen I was instantly hooked, it is like they have gone back to the 80’s and found an album they forgot to release but at the same time it is very fresh, if you are of a similar age where you consider like me that the early 80’s where when music was at its best please give it a listen as I’m sure you will love it.
Number 1
Peter Gabriel i/o
Well I don’t know where to start here other than to say what an album, well 3 albums actually, I loved his 1986 ‘SO’ album, actually wore the tape out on my walkman when doing my paper rounds, but since then I haven’t really listened to any of his material but I was told by several people that I need to hear i/o and it is all I’ve listened to since, apparently he has been working on it for over 27 years which is crazy but if you want an album to show your HiFi off this is is at it is extremely well produced and mastered, in fact what is really cool is that there is 3 versions of the same album mixed by 3 different engineers, the Bright Side Mix, the Dark Side Mix and the In-Side Mix which is in Dolby Atmos, needless to say I have bought all 3 on vinyl and CD/SACD, I actually listened to the Dark Side mix last night on the O/Baby’s and got totally lost in it, the songs are great, catchy and have real meaning how we are just part of everything and just a speck in time really + his voice is still brilliant, I can’t recommend these album(s) enough so please do give them a listen and see which mix you prefer.
Bonus Album
Queens Of The Stone Age – In Times New Roman
I just want to give the above a mention, QOTSA are Wendy’s favourite band and this is another brilliant album from them, they have a very unique rock sound with a certain funk and groove, we went to see them in November and it was one of the best gigs I’ve seen in awhile, certainly not mainstream rock but it definitely demands your attention and once you get it I’m sure you’ll be hooked.
Well there you go, just leaves me to say thanks again for everyone’s support this year, have an amazing Christmas and all the best for 2024, look forward to seeing what adventures lies ahead for then.
All the best,
Regards,
Paul, Wendy, Billy and Ady.

PMC Prodigy 1 and 5 Speakers Now On Demo, Incredible for their Cost!
Tumblr media
Hi Everyone,
It was just a quick blog to say that we have spent this week getting some hours on our new demo PMC Prodigy 1 and 5 speakers, these are intended to be a new entry point for HiFi enthusiasts who want a pair of PMC's but the Twenty5i range is just a little out of reach, I have to say I am blown away how good these speakers are, regardless of cost, the fact that the Prodigy1's come in at £1250 and the Prodigy5's are £1995 beggars belief a little in all honesty.
Obviously we are big fans of PMC at HFL and it is great now that we can introduce even more people to the delights of PMC, these may be a cheaper option but they really are every inch a true PMC speaker, in some ways they remind me of the older i Series, in particular a modern take on the DB1i and GB1i's if you like, needless to say I can see these becoming extremely popular.
If you'd like to come in for a demo anytime please feel free to get in touch to book an appointment.

Paul.

PMC Introduces The New Prodigy1 and Prodigy5!
Tumblr media
Hi Everyone,
It's no secret that we are big fans of PMC Speakers here at HFL, and it's not often a week goes by where we haven't had a demo booked featuring something from the award-winning Twenty5 series or Fact range. PMC is known for creating loudspeakers that can capture and relay the purest intentions of the artist without colouration, which is ideal for both music makers and audiophiles.
Prodigy ‘Brings The Studio Home’
With the unveiling of two new designs in Munich this year, the Prodigy series takes the essence of what makes PMC speakers special, and is one of the most significant home audio products they have released in recent years. With Prodigy, we’re bringing our performance-led design ethos to an even wider audience, building on our belief that ultra-high-resolution loudspeakers, if properly designed, can be used throughout the entire audio chain. That’s why our designs are employed at every stage of music-making, from composers’ music rooms to recording studios, all the way through to the home – preserving the essence of the original performance and delivering it directly to the listener.
The Sum Of Parts
Professionally proven, we’ve combined the natural fibre bass unit from the ci series - reference for Dolby Atmos music mixing and the soft dome tweeter from the result6, recognised in studios around the world. Making this the most exciting transition in a loudspeaker from studio to home that we have produced. Designed and built in-house here in Britain, it comprises two models: the compact Prodigy1 stand mount and the floor-standing Prodigy5. Both deliver staggering clarity and depth of bass beyond their size.
Technology That Shines
Prodigy features the Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) bass loading technology, which uses the energy from the bass unit in the most intelligent and efficient way to produce a far deeper, tighter and powerful bass than should be possible from a speaker of this size. Laminair, our F1-derived aerodynamic vent, controls the air as it exits the ATL, which increases efficiency and eliminates airflow noise to create a bass response with precise timing and an excellent dynamic range.
Even-tempered and easy to drive, they’ll match with high-quality electronics and, with their consistent characteristics and tonal balance, you can also easily mix and match any PMC speakers to create immersive audio systems for the latest surround music formats.
Available in July! Please feel free to contact us to find out more or to arrange a demonstration 👌
All the best,
Billy
Prodigy1
A compact standmount speaker, ideal for small and medium size rooms, that delivers the richly dynamic and full sound that is expected of a PMC.

Prodigy5
The prodigy5 floorstander is compact but powerful, taking up no more space than bookshelf speakers on stands thanks to a small footprint suited to any style of room – yet it can fill even larger spaces with weighty, crisply defined music.
