2.Is there a Pokémon you hate / dislike ?

I have a special relationship with shiny Klefki...despite it being a decent shiny I hate it so much cause of how I have been done dirty by 2 completely different games with it.

In X/Y I was hunting for a flame body Litwick because I play as a breeder and it would boost my hatch times. I spent HOURS trying to find one not realizing I was on the right route but in the wrong building to find Litwick. So, after encountering dozens of Klefki and Pawniard I was melting down and shouted "WHERE THE FUCK IS THE STUPID CANDLE? IF I SEE ONE MORE KLEFKI IM GONNA LOOSE IT!" and the game gave me a shiny Klefki as the very next spawn and it flew me into a blind rage.

YEARS later I am playing Scarlet, I am in the bamboo forest hunting for shiny Pawniard (I was building a team with my PMD ARPG characters from da groups I've been in and needed a shiny male Pawniard for my boy Morte). I spend hours with no luck as I didn't have access to the specific shiny sandwich spices needed at the time.

so, I decide to take a break and fast travel to the city with the psychic gym because I hadn't beat that gym leader yet and I thought I'd let off steam by steam rolling her. Well right as I step off the pokemart platform what spawns right in front of me?

A FUCKING SHINY KLEFKI. Twice pokemon has had some audacity by giving me a pity shiny Klefki as my first shiny in 2 different games.

So, me and a gold keyring have mad beef as a result XD.

What are Cinder and Percy’s favorite drinks to have at Spinda’s Cafe?

Wah! This is probably a response to that PMD ask, huh! Totally forgot I opened that up lol Idk if I ever actually have mentioned Cinder and Percy's team name! Just for a fun fact, they're Team Emerald!

whoa talk about full circle I remember I called them Team Emerald cuz I was in my Wicked phase in... 2012? and now Wicked is popular(ha) again lol

anyway Lemme think...

Cinder is our ADHD queen (you can see this clearly in my super old unfinished PMD fic Darkest Before the Dawn), so in my own experience, I think she'd like sweet drinks! Maybe a Pecha berry smoothie! Or whatever the equivalent of a mango is in Pokemon... a Mago berry?

Percy I think is more level-headed (too bad he never showed up in DBtD)- especially to balance out Cinder. He strikes me as a tea drinker. Maybe something like a Cheri tea? I think that'd be pretty similar to Chai since it has a spice to it

🥘 (Stew) - Do they have any favourite foods or comfort foods? What are their eating habits like? If absorbed by the Cook ability, what healing item would they summon?

- lula’s a big fan of soups and stews!! she loves making them herself with veggies she grows in her garden, probably tastes much better with those than with store bought ingredients. as for luca, he’s a big fan of spicy foods [and has a higher spice tolerance than lula], so he would enjoy curry, and be the kind of mf to put an absurd amount of salsa on his tacos LMAO but as for comfort foods, they both have a big sweet tooth so just about any dessert will satisfy them.

- lula is very good about eating three meals a day, while luca tends to forget about needing to eat 😭 she gets on his case about it often, and makes sure he eats something at a reasonable time. sometimes they cook together though! a fun activity AND luca remembers to eat…

- as for the cook ability, luca would drop an energy drink or a pepper of some kind, while lula would drop a tomato/maxim tomato orrr strawberries? [all things she grows in her garden]

🎶 (Music Notes) - Do they play any instruments? What kind of leitmotif and/or battle theme would they have? Are there any songs you associate with them?

- neither of them know how to play an instrument! though maybe lula would take an interest in piano, and luca with a synthesizer…

- OHHHH I think it would be fun if they shared a leitmotif, but the instrumentation differed between them. like if lula’s version had woodwinds/strings or just a more orchestral style, and luca’s version had more electronic sounds, or was in a chiptune style. if I had any proper knowledge in music theory I would’ve definitely tried to compose something for them by now [we are ignoring the fact that I played an instrument for 11 years-]

- as for a battle theme for them, luca on his own might have something like [Bombs for Throwing at You] from portal 2 or [System Corruption] from portal stories: mel? it would sound very reminiscent of either game… as for lula, something like [Dialga’s Fight to the Finish!] from pmd time/darkness/sky or maybe [Midna’s Lament] from loz twilight princess..? for a battle theme of the two of them together, [Try, Try Again] from m&l dream team fits I think… very upbeat and could highlight the two of them working together in a battle :]c

- for songs I associate with them, [Christmas Island] by LAKE and [By Your Side.] from the omori ost makes me think of them. ANNNND [A Gash on the Cheek] by Superet!! I am very normal about that song [lying]

♟️ (Pawn) - Does your OC get possessed easily, or do they have the willpower to fight back against any possible attempts? Have they been possessed before?

- both of them would be susceptible to possession, ESPECIALLY when caught in a bad mood. in their “canon” lore, neither of them have been possessed, though I’ve been thinking about the concept of one of them getting possessed by dark matter, and the other being forced to fight them >:3c bonus points if the possessed twin is winning the fight and almost deals a finishing blow, but said twin manages to muster enough willpower to stop themselves from doing so <3 I love angst

Is Dielle an actual meowth in-game, or another species entirely? From what I've seen they're not recruitable until post-game, so I got curious.

And you can take a little peek at her profile in game too- with level and stats censored so you can't tell how far she is/gets in the game without dying (you are however allowed to see her IQ because I didn't give gummis to anyone except Rune for the most part lmao)

For the uninitiated, PMD: Explorers has the option to use a system called Wondermail (or Wondermail S for Sky specifically), where you can input a code to get specific jobs. The original intent for this was probably for kids to share jobs that gave them cool rewards with each other, but some folks figured out the algorithm the games use for this function to basically generate anything you want in the game. The website I originally used is no longer up, but I believe the archived version still functions as intended. When I did my first Sky nuzlocke all the way back in 2014 I gave myself the 5 Wondermail code as a mercy because I wasn't the best at the game, and gave myself a somewhat difficult ruleset by disabling the map. When redoing the comic/the run of the game in 2017, I just stuck with the same ruleset, but since then I'd gotten much better at the game and didn't need the Wondermail codes as a crutch nearly as much. So instead, I mostly used them to get recruits I normally couldn't get until postgame, to spice up OBT's roster a little bit. At this time I've used 3/5 of the Wondermail codes I allotted myself, with 2 of them being used on recruits. My gameplay for this run is still not finished, and I know it's cringe to not be done with a game after 5 years leave me alone LOL As for why I chose Meowth? I have literally no idea. I guess I just thought Meowth was cute and wanted to play with it since I never used it for the starters before. Around the time I recruited her I also had two TMs- Thunderbolt and Ice Beam. I waffled on which to give her, as it would influence her design. I wanted to give her a sabre tooth design of sorts, so Thunderbolt meant possibly a Raikou parent, and Ice Beam a Walrein parent!

As you probably guessed, I gave her Thunderbolt in the end. And then I remembered Zeraora existed and dropped the sabre tooth design altogether. Which is kind of a shame, I miss those little teefies and wish I kept 'em around. I did have one recruit who was going to show up as a species other than what they were, but later opted to keep them as their in-game species.

All recruits who show up in OBT will be the same as their in-game species (at least that's the plan at the time I'm writing this), though some NPCs may be swapped around with pokemon! Loudred being an Exploud is one of the more mild instances of this, while Team Charm's Medicham (tentatively) being a Hatterene would be a more noticeable one.

Honestly nobody probably remembers these guys because they were only active in like... 2017, but they were fun. I did draw Cacnea Spice recently though, along with his team mate, Cinnamon.

They were basically just petty siblings trying to one up each other and even after remaking them outside of their original group, that never changed. They’re still petty siblings. But more developed. 

They eventually learn to get along after something happens to their uncle (Who was their primary caretaker) and also there is a potential world ending threat. 

Y’know, as all PMD stories go.

Post-canon PMD series & pre-canon anime series plot & other stuff

Rinko was an orphan from Sinnoh, one of the unlucky beings to get stuck in the middle of a fight between the Creation trio & vanished with no trace.

After Rinko’s lives in the PMD-verse, she & Celebi traveled though a Passage of Time to arrive at the Spear Pillar of Rinko’s birth world. Celebi fell into a coma (due to the differences in the worlds), so Rinko stashed her deep in the forests of Sinnoh in hope she’ll heal.

After she saved enough Pokes for a Heal Ball, Rinko tagged her friend with it. There’s been too many ‘hikers’ showing up in the area Celebi was hidden in for her peace of mind.

From Sinnoh, she traveled to the other regions with the help of migrating Pokemon. Mimikyu joined her in Alola.

At Celadon (Kanto), a young Porygon decided to hitch a ride in Rinko’s e-journal. They now help her research healing agents & other miscellaneous stuff. They’re suspiciously good at digging up stuff for a young Porygon.

Rinko is highly likely to join Ash on his journey, considering how her motherhenning tendencies would zero on that trouble magnet & refuse to let go.

At the beginning of the anime series, Rinko would technically be 15 years old (she stop counting her actual age, it got too confusing with all the shenanigans).

After the group meets Lily the Witch, Rinko would gain the ability to temporarily shapeshift into a Pokemon.

Rinko had packed most of her items collected over her lives as a Pokemon in the PMD-verse for the return trip. She uses her Connection Orb to keep in contact with the Pokemon she has befriended.

Rinko part-times as a field research assistant, sending in data to the region’s professors. She’s also a Pokemon translator & a decent Items gatherer.

Rinko is pretty handy at crafting, so with Porygon’s help in designing patterns, she’s made quite a few extra costumes for her little companion. She'd helped out in a Medicine Shop, so has some experience processing herbs & spices.

Rinko retains her ability to communicate with Pokemon. She is also rather good at persuading *cough*terrifying*cough* rowdy humans & Pokemon into obedience from all her time spend as leader of various teams.

Assuming whatever that attracts PMD Pokemon into joining the player is a thing, there’s usually a few Pokemon hanging around Rinko. She regularly trades with them for foraged stuff or an occasional favor.

With or without her fans, Rinko is capable of minor manipulation of Special moves (she’d dodge the others). She is also capable to generating moves herself, but only weaker versions of moves she had learned, which drains her badly. So far, she has not been in a situation that requires the latter.

Once Rinko is capable of temporary shapeshifting, she’ll occasionally take the forms of random (familiar) Pokemon, though will usually stick to Riolu. She has a preference to the forms she once had (her PMD-verse’s forms’ evolution families).
