Yeah I'm done with Tumblr, at least for now.
So I'm deleting the tumblr app from my devices. I've thought about it for a few days and it's simply become the social media I use the least and don't think I contribute enough to make it worth keeping. If anyone for whatever reason wants to keep following my pointless posts I'll be over on Twitter as @pocketfulofgeek and as @dealwargames and will be active there pretty much all the time. So, thanks for hanging out I guess? The people I did interact with on here are pretty awesome so definitely keep being you.

pocketfulofgeek reblogged your post: disney concept art: the most beautiful dynamic...
Isn’t this because she was supposed to be the villain, then they heard Let it Go and decided it was too good a song for...
like this is a tangent but im soooooo tired of people re-writing entire plots just for one song that comes out of no where like this is a problem for steven universe too?? you can just have one song to hold an entire plot up it just doesnt work like that

As a basic land, will Wastes be appearing in every set from now on?
No! Wastes are a card name specific to this set. Cards that produce colorless mana, however, will be used where appropriate.

Selvala would be Moore interactive with the tabletop. Parley is a great mechanic for Commander and the table politics it brings are great.
Odric on the other hand, (also known as Captain No Blocks), is much less interactive, and is likely to make you a target very early on.
That's what I was thinking too. I like the idea of filling her deck with lots of X cost spells and ramp, since you can generate a good amount of extra mana with parley. On the other hand, I don't have a voltron commander yet and Odric fits the bill pretty well. Not sure if I want to drop 100 bucks on swords though.

pocketfulofgeek reblogged your photoset: Unlettered Preview: Uncanny X-Men 1 Bendis |...
Still not a fan of a black Nick Fury in 616, as I feel it cheapens Ultimate Fury, and feels like a deception to new...
How does 616 black Fury cheapen Ultimate Fury? I don't get it. Do you need to keep the black guy in one world unique for him to keep his specialness? Are 2 black Nick Furys too much?
And I think it is alright that they want to make the movie world and the comics world line up a little more. Marvel wants to bring in new readers, and it will help to see some of the familiar trappings from the movies they saw. Coulson is a cool character. I am glad Marvel brought him over to the print side. If you read the comic, you know that the Nick jr is not the original. Nick sr is not going to be fading from existence. No one is pretending that otherwise.

About Marvel Now! - It's not a reboot. They are not shitting on the past. It is nothing like the New 52. Nothing is being retconned (any more than usual). It is continuing the same continuity. It is exactly the same as what they did when they revealed the "Heroic Age" which wasn't a reboot. DC have made people PETRIFIED of anything like this but trust me it's not a reboot.
No, it's really not (at least not a full reboot), but my post wasn't just talking about that or Marvel. It was more about how the mainstream comic industry keeps using badly planned out gimmicks to get new readers, and better ways they can get new readers. Did you read past the first paragraph? I was just angry at how they made it seem like a reboot/full reboot.
(Maybe that's what they intended?)

River, Zoe, Kaylee?
I would marry Kaylee any day of the week. Twice on many days. I'd fuck Zoe, because she's gorgeous, and I'd like to get some insight into Wash's "Have you ever been with a warrior woman?" question. And then, again, I'd have to kill River. Or try. I still don't see that working well.
It'd be a whole "Necktie, neckturn, nickel- it's an N word, it's definitely an N word!" moment.

Ha! Your spoiler-fu is strong! You got those 2 up seconds before I did :P (Although I did babble on about them before posting). How excited are you for Innistrad?
Spoiler-fu is about timing (and being awake around 9 PM PST makes it easier). =3
I am, like always, cautiously optimistic about new sets. Double sided cards were the last thing I expected. Morbid keyword is super cool, and flashback returning is pretty sweet.

Holy shit, I was tagged. I’m pretty sure this is the first time ever.
I was tagged by @marendezvouspoint .
Rules: Answer the questions and then tag nine people you want to get to know better.
Relationship status: Married.
Favorite color: Green and silver. But specifically rich greens.
Lipstick or chapstick: Lipstick. So much lipstick. I adore lipstick. On my. On other women. On men. The world needs more lipstick.
Last song you listened to: Dragula by Rob Zombie
Last movie you watched: Poltergeist. The remake.
Top 3 Characters: Tough one. Hmm. Hannibal (TV show version), Belle (animated Disney version) and James Stark (Sandman Slim novels). This list could have gone on forever. Seriously.
Top 3 Ships: Kylux, Hannigram, Harley/Ivy. I need more lady ships. But for that I need more well written women appearing in the same thing together.
Currently reading: Imajica by Clive Barker
Top 5 musicals: Rock Horror Picture Show, Little Shop of Horrors, Jerry Springer the Opera, Repo: The Genetic Opera and The Phantom of the Opera. Basically I like my musicals a bit dark, a little satirical and fun to sing along with.
Now to see if I can come up with 9 people to tag.
@vecordy, @insomniac-sheep-herder, @pocketfulofgeek, @badgerandsword, @bathedinflames, @hanbamblr, @doesitlooklikeineedanotherfandom, @holtzing, and finally @iandsharman

I've seen you post a lot about Jeremy Corbyn, and you seem pretty up on your politics. What's your opinion of him? And does he really have as much of a chance as today's news says?
Jeremy Corbyn’s politics pretty much align perfectly with my own. He’s a pacifist, anti-austerity, pro-renationalisation, pro-progressive taxation, socialist. The right wing media will use his preference for dialogue with extremists over the perpetuation of violence as a stick to beat him with, but he’s right. It was dialogue with Sinn Fein and the IRA that led to peace in Northern Ireland, a process he supported long before the government came round to it. He’s a pacifist, he clearly doesn’t condone terrorism, but he understands that talking is the only true route to peace.
Does he have as much of a chance as today’s news says? Yes, he does, and the fact that it’s now clear that he can win only makes it more likely, as I think that some might have been reluctant to vote for him as they thought he couldn’t win. But surveys of Labour supporters have put him well ahead from the start, he’s clearly incredibly popular amongst party members, even if the parliamentary Labour Party would prefer Liz Kendall (the membership’s least favourite choice). There is clearly an issue that the parliamentary party is out of touch with the membership, although a lot of the newer Labour MPs are more left leaning. If Corbyn wins then we’ll see a very, very different Labour front bench (although I’d expect to see Andy Burnham remain in the mix).
Ultimately Corbyn is the only candidate offering not only a clear vision for the direction of the party in the future, but he’s the only one who isn’t offering what essentially amounts to more of the same. Corbyn can win, and although people are predicting that Labour will be unelectable if he does, the likes of Syriza in Greece, Podemos in Spain and, indeed, the SNP in Scotland have shown that a left wing agenda does not put off an electorate. Just as Corbyn was wrongly dismissed when he first entered the race (over the course of the campaign the bookies have slashed the odds of him winning from 100-1 down to 2-1) I think it’s very wrong to dismiss the electoral chances of a Jeremy Corbyn led Labour Party.

V for Vendetta reference. Totalitarian government has departments named after body parts. The mouth is the controlled media. The nose are the secret police etc
Aha.

So what you're saying is that the BBC are dangerously close to becoming "The Mouth"?
I’m guessing that this is a cultural reference that I don’t understand.

Hey Ian. I notice you post about your pull list and that you receive it via post? Long story shirt my regular store has been having difficulties for a while and it's future is uncertain, meaning I may find myself without a source for my monthly pulls. Can you let me know who you order from and what setup you have with them? Thanks in advance!
I use the Disposable Heroes semi-sub scheme.
Basically, when the pre-orders go live I order and pay for what I want and it turns up at my door once it’s released. There are more details on the Semi Subs page on their website.
