@pointofknowreturn tagged me to list 3 albums I’ve been listening to recently and well… I don’t really listen to albums usually. Honestly I hardly listen to music, and when I do it’s usually not something I’m consciously choosing and so there’s plenty of music I’ve heard before that I know I’ve heard before and know I like, even recalling from just a few notes or lines, but have never known the name of the song or the artist. This includes some songs I can recall having heard sporadically since I was like… 6. I can recognize it and start singing along after barely hearing one line in a crowded food court and start quietly singing along to the whole song to myself but I could not possibly tell you the name of the song or who sang it.

Basically, music is just kinda hard for me. What I’ve been doing for years is cobbling a big pile of stuff I know I like from my parents’ playlists because a lot of the stuff I like is what they played while driving and on road trips and stuff, plus some other stuff I’ve discovered incredibly slowly over the years. So I only had like… 3 albums that I listened to most-or-all of like… total.

BUT back in like October-ish, Juliet started telling me about all the cool music she listens to and I asked for some of her recommendations for music to try! She told me a couple albums and it’s safe to say she’s got damn good taste! But of all the things she recommended, the 3 albums that I keep listening to, even after months since she first recommended them, are all from only 1 band lol

Masque: Icarus (Borne On Wings of Steel) - parts of this song have big Jo Dracona (the character that I’ve never made anything with but was my pfp for years and is the reason that’s my alias online) vibes.

Leftoverture: The Wall - Miracles Out Of Nowhere is a close second but The Wall is just very emotional in a particular way and it’s so so good.

Point of Know Return: Lightning’s Hand - this song absolutely whips, it grabs me every time and I always end up walking faster when I’m listening to it. Good if I’m late for class!

Been playing Oblivion for the first time recently and I went to enchant my shield with 20% shield. @pointofknowreturn and I will usually sit down and workshop a funny name together for all my enchanted items, and for this one we came up with “Really Shield”

I realized later that “Shield of Very” would’ve also been really good.

I think I listened to this years ago and then just kinda forgot about it. Now that I listened to it again I'm surprised this wasn't on my classic rock playlist to begin with. That guitar solo is fucking tasty!

I haven't actually listened to uriah heep beyond lady in black and I think that song gave me expectations too high to meet for poets justice. It sounds good and catchy, but I just really don't think the lyrics are very well written, sorry. Like they're desperately trying to make them rhyme without really considering the quality of the writing itself?
