OK! I'm back and I have a theory!
Now I just finished the main story for The Teal Mask and HOLY SHIT!
While Kieran slowly spirals in his obsession with Ogrepon as I keep beating him (I honestly still feel bad about that, I hated that Carmine made us lie to him), then Carmine growing steadily with our battles and being empathetic.
I loved the story, but that "To Be Continued..." with Kieran saying he'll be back was surprising. It made me think of some things though.
Now, let's get to the theory part: I think the Loyal, or in the words of Carmine, Lousy Three had some sort of influence or at least connection when it came to Kieran.
The first detail I realized is whenever Kieran lost his temper after I beat him: There were these pulses on the scene to add the pressure of the moment, the lines on the speech bubbles were sharp.
And what happens when we go to battle the Titan Versions of the "Lousy" Three? They have those same pulses.
When we beat him RIGHT IN FRONT of the altar, he lashed out in anger about the Ogerpon meeting we kept secret (That was well justified) and he punched the wall. That anger led to Munkidori, Fezandipiti, and Okidogi to be released.
There's also the fact that Kieran's bangs look a little like the Lousy Three's chains, especially the shadow of it. I don't know if that's plain coincidence, or on purpose.
It makes sense in my head, but I don't know how to go into more detail.
Does anybody else have thoughts?

Zygarde the Cryptid
Calling it right now Zygarde is going to be a cryptid in Legends ZA that potentially partakes in some domestic terrorism as they struggle to build Lumios City into a metropolis of the future. Zygarde will not like all this construction of an enormous city in the middle of the region and will mess with its construction. Torn down buildings here, broken machinery there, maybe a collapsed mine or two. All the while people talk about a horde of weird Green Dogs that move faster than anyone has seen breaking things or attacking people, or maybe a giant serpent that scares people off. No one has managed to get a good look at it but it starts causing mistrust of Pokémon within the city and works up both people and Pokémon.

Weird Pokémon theory. I just noticed that maybe, just maybe, the Dreepy line might be a subtle reference to MissingNo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean sure, it's obviously a Diplocaulus, and I really don't know why ghosts of extinct animals are such a rare trope. The only other examples I can think of off the top of my head are that one episode of Love, Death and Robots and Darcy Little Badgers beautiful novel Elatsoe.
Tumblr media
But when you look at Dreepys design, it seems to be something else. Back in the day, MissingNo. had two glitched-out sprites and three sprites that were taken from elsewhere in the game. It's those three:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two are fossils of extinct Pokémon, just like Dreepy's Diplocaulus, and one is a ghost. So in a way, MissingNo. was the original extinct ghost Pokémon. Also the Diplocaulus head shape is pretty similar to Kabutops, while the Dreepy families other type is dragon, which isn't Aerodactyl's type, but come on, it's clearly a dragon.
Tumblr media
Also shout-out to another ghost dinosaur that's not part of the above-mentioned trope because it's the ghost of an extant species of dinosaur. Come to think of it, for a series so heavily focused on dinosaurs, the Super Mario World/Yoshi's Island series features a remarkable lack of stereotypical prehistoric tropes...

I am probably not the first person to think of this, but assuming that PLZ-A takes place in the future (as many have guessed) and that the Ultimate Weapon can still grant eternal life (or that Pokémon X is the canonical route)…
Do you think we might see Lysandre again?

I still haven't played Pokémon Scarlet or Violet and don't know what the plot is or honestly anything about what the whole deal with "Paradox Pokémon" is
But
It does sound a lot like the old theory could make a comeback:

Paldea’s Area Zero can be abbreviated “AZ”
The only other Pokémon that can be caught in the Underdepths that isn’t from Generation 9 (Gimmora line and Terapagos) is Carbink
The Legends game set in Kalos is called “Z-A”

Ok random pokemon theory that’s more just weird details so you know Wally
Tumblr media
This guy ^ I was earlier comparing him with his family
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Photos for reference and I’m now quite sure he’s adopted so let’s go over the proof
First off we can look at Wally’s ancestor from legends Arceus
Tumblr media
So from this we see the green hair that turns grey with age and the hair style which this weirdly doesn’t fit his parents who both have brown hair and then also doesn’t fit his uncle who goes bald with age instead of grey which is quite confusing also I hear you saying “oh it’s just they didn’t want to fully design the characters” but then why not just
Tumblr media
Use the model for a ace trainer for the mom or dad but change the jacket or leave it the same? Given then they have the green hair? Like I’m not saying it’s intentional but it’s just something to think of especially because Wally looks wayyy to similar to N for some weird reason
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Literally look at them side by side the hair is about the same but N’s is a little lighter which hair can lighten with exposure to the sun which i think N would have more sun exposure, eyes are the same color, N’s hair looks like it would go upwards if it wasn’t under a cap a lot, they both wear necklaces, and both tend towards lighter main colors there is definitely parallels that can be made at least definitely more then the traits Wally shares with his actual family Im going to now just leave you to make your own decision on this theory I hope everyone has a nice day

With the release of Scarlet and Violet, a lot of people have been trying to find ways to connect it to XY. (myself included)
A lot of people have mentioned the idea that the Great Crater of Paldea was made from the Ultimate Weapon, however that wouldn’t work as the Crater predates the Ultimate Weapon. (Crater is 2 million years old, Ultimate Weapon is 3 thousand years old)
but what if they still are connected… just the other way around?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
…What If the Ultimate Weapon was made from Tera Crystals taken from the Great Crater?

Some Pokémon headcanons I'm currently considering.
Note, most of these have one or more elements distinctly refuted in official content.
Fighting is the type with the purest connection to Aura
Aura is the core of Life. A requirement for existance.
Aura is of the Physical. It cannot truly exist without an Anchor.
Arceus does not possess Aura.
Arceus cannot be defined as living, for Arceus came before Life.
If Arceus could be called a Pokémon, Arceus would be the First.
Palkia, Dialga and Giratina are Pokémon, they were together the Third.
Life came to be during the genesis of the Second.
If the Unown are Pokémon, they were all the Second.
If the Unown could be called Pokémon, the would all be the Second.
The Unown are Uncountable. The Unown are Finite.
The Unown are the Arms of Arceus.
The Unown are the core of Aura.
The Unown exist on a conceptual basis.
The Unown can only ever be percieved from one direction.
The Unown are the revelation.
The Unown are the Core.
The Unown are the Core.
The Unown are the Core.
The Unown are the Core.
Coincidentally, this is a good representation of what happens if a Lucario (Or another particularily Aura aware Pokémon) looks at an Unown too long.
_______
Anyway, a theory that's a lot less utterly non-canon (Still is though lol):
The Arceus we see is merely one of Arceus 1000 Arms. And I mean that in a more physical sense than usual. Look at a picture of Arceus, now remove the head and tilt down the tail and you've got a hand, distinctly nonhuman, but it's a hand none the less. Why? Because Wynaut.

Penny Family Theory (Confirmed)
OKAY SO, I started playing Area Zero and then Penny says this:
Tumblr media
[Image Text:
Penny - “It’s just my dad! He’s loud and clingy and makes up weird nicknames for me like “Pen-Pen”.]
And when read this, I thought: “Peony?”, and that was the start of my rabbit hole. I theorize that Penny is the younger daughter of Peony.
For a little reminder: Peony is the character who leads the player through Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra DLC. A steel type user, former champion, Chairman Rose’s brother, and embarrassing father to Peonia (and Penny).
Penny was introduced in the main story of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, being the secret leader of Team Star.
Exhibit A: Dialogue
This is what she entirely says about her dad:
Penny - “It’s just my dad! He’s loud and clingy and makes up weird nicknames for me like “Pen-Pen”.
Penny - “He’s the most annoying guy in the world! Period! He’s the worst!”
Penny - “Unbelievably Annoying”
Penny describes her dad as “Unbelievably annoying”, “loud and clingy” and that he calls her weird nicknames like “Pen-Pen”. Peony is well known for being an enthusiastic and endlessly supportive father, and gives Peonia nicknames like “Darling Daughter”.
Penny already seems a bit pessimistic so maybe she’d read Peony’s energy wrong.
Exhibit B: Names
Penny’s Japanese name is “ボタン” or “Botan”, which comes from the Tree PEONY.
Also, their names all start with “Pe”, have an “N”, and have an “ē” sound in their name.
Peony
Peonia
Penny
Exhibit C: Home
Penny (being referred to as Cassiopeia) was sent to Galar after Operation Star, and Peony was introduced in Galar, former Galarian champion and gym leader, and so on and so forth.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Harrington with Ortega, the player, and Clive.
Harrington - “I wanted this student (referring to Penny/Cassiopeia) to take some time to rest, so I had them return home to the Galar region.”]
Exhibit D: Genetics
Now for the elephant in the room: they look nothing alike.
This would be a flaw, if we didn’t have his second league card:
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Peony’s Second League Card, Peony is front and center with baby Peonia on his shoulder and a blonde woman behind them]
It is assumed that the woman in the back is Peony’s wife since she’s in the league card along side him and Nia (and because her and Nia have blonde hair). Penny is paler… but that may be from a lack of sunlight due to being a nerdy hacker who barely goes outside (Canon).
We don’t see the woman’s eye color… but we do see that she is a recolor of the beauty trainer model (notice the red clothes and hair styles) which has brown eyes, just like Penny.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Beauty Trainer from Sword and Shield, she has brown eyes and a red sweater]
UPDATE 12/16/2022
A friend of mine (YouTube: WagonWorks) mentioned a bit of evidence that I hadn’t noticed. We were discussing a video by HybridHero about my theory, except HH theorized that Penny was the daughter of Rose and Oleana LINK. He goes over some of the same evidence as me, but I’m not as certain about “Oleana being Penny’s mother” and Bede isn’t mentioned despite being Rose’s adoptive son. Now then…
Exhibit E: Eye Shape
Rose and Peony have eye shapes very similar to Penny, specifically eye lashes. Her eyes especially resemble Rose’s and eye lashes resemble Peony’s, Rose being her uncle would confirm that that eye shape would be somewhere in Peony’s genes to pass down to Penny.
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Penny, Peony, and Chairman Rose’s faces. Peony’s eyes are more angular while his eye lashes are curved and have a bit pointing out. Chairman rose had more curved eyed but shorter eyelashes. Penny has the same eye shape as Rose and same lashes as Peony]
Update: 12/29/2022
Exhibit F: Hair
While Nia and Penny’s hair styles are very different, their front bangs are extremely similar (maybe even the exact same if the graphics weren't completely different from SwSh). They both also have dyed hair (presumably, at least the red part of Penny’s hair could be dyed).
In the real world, dyed hair and bangs would mean nothing, but this is a fictional world where small details like that can be important. We recently has Legends: Arceus where we had several ancestors of modern characters, many of which have the same (or similar) hairstyles to their modern counterparts such as The Miss Fortune Sisters and Bertha, Candice, and Saturn, Colza and Gardenia, Rye and Riley, Choy and Charon, Arezu and Mars, Calaba and Gordie, Volo and Cynthia Etc. (they also share name origins, with their counterparts and similar parts of their names).
Now, comparing ancestors to descendants is a leap, so a more modern example is in Sun and Moon with Hala and Hau. Both of them have that ponytail and start with a “Ha”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image 1: Penny and Peonia, their front hair bangs are very similar.
Image 2: Hala and Hau, both have a ponytail with Four Points]
Update: 12/13/2023
Exhibit G: The Mini-Series
Penny, Peonia, and Peony all make short cameos in the final episode of their respective region’s mini-series, and both cameo in the same location!
At the end of Twilight Wings, Peony is shown chasing Peonia on a train to the Crown Tundra. They are not facing the audience.
At the recent end of Paldean Winds, during a montage of people watching the final video, Penny is shown in the background, on a train, not facing the audience.
Now this would be nothing big… IF THE TWO TRAINS WERENT EXACTLY THE SAME:
Tumblr media
Notice:
The rectangular Windows with curved edges
Orange text above the door
The yellow railings and curved railings towards the back of the train
The blue chairs that are shown to face each other.
The pokeball symbol on the back door.
Another important detail is that in the Paldean Winds Train, no one is shown wearing a Naranja Uniform, including the children, meaning this isn’t Paldea since EVERY OTHER CHILD WEARS THE UNIFORM IN THIS TRAILER.
Caph Squad still standing in the previous episode and the player character seeming to cameo at the beginning means that this episode takes place before the events of the game, WHILE PENNY IS IN GALAR.
I’ve also made a separate Post for more “Out There” pieces of evidence.
The End
In the Mochi Mayhem event, before the Zero Crew leave for Kitakami, Penny had to call her dad for permission and this is what we get:
[Transcript:
Penny - “Oh my GOSH, Dad, would you just drop it?! I told you—friends! I’m going with friends! No, you DON’T need to be worried about it! We are perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves! Ughhh, no, it’s not gonna be an “Adven-tour”—no one says that! Honestly. I’m hanging up now!”
Second Clip:
Penny - “Haaah. Suddenly I’m too tired for any of this…”
Arven - “Did you get your old man’s OK to go?”
Penny - “Yeah…in the end. But I had to put up with his ultra-mega-annoying dad talk to do it.”
Arven - “He just ultra-mega-cares, little bud!”
Penny - “Oh! Oh…yeah, maybe you’re right…”]
THERE IT IS “ADVEN-TOUR” THAT IS PEONY’S WORD, THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THIS CONFIRMS:
Penny Is Peony’s Youngest Daughter
Almost 2 years of theorizing has finally led to confirmation, my life is complete.

So I have a theory about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Spoilers for Scarlet and Violet as when you complete the main story, you fight off the Pokémon professor. They are replaced by an ai built by the professors and they were stuck in their respective times, Sara being stuck in the past and Turo being stuck in the future.
Well I have a theory on why they were stuck in either the past or the future. It’s because they’re respective times killed them off.
My reasoning? The times they’re sent back to correspond to how they died
For professor Sada in the Scarlet games, she gets stuck in the past. Now paradox Pokémon in the scarlet games are ancient creatures from long ago. For that, you can assume that they are mostly dinosaurs or something. And for people that’ve seen Jurassic Park know what happens when dinosaurs mix with humans. That’s right. Professor Sada was eaten by one of the paradox Pokémon.
For professor Turo, on the other hand, died differently. You see, professor Turo got stuck in the future. And since nobody knows what the future holds, his death could be up to interpretation. In my opinion and guess, I say that Turo became a paradox pokemon by force. That’s right, Turo got springlocked and died from his injuries.
I also have a theory on who murdered our professors. It’s the alpha mirai/korai don that the player defeats with their legendary Pokémon. My reasoning is may be sorta fruitless but if you think about it, it’s plausible that those claws of theirs have blood on their hands.
tl:dr The professors got Jurassic parked or Springlocked in their respective times they got trapped in (in theory)

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not but I’ve had a theory on Ghetsis that I’ve been sitting on for a while. It’s that the man is a cripple and an amputee. In nearly every representation of the man and especially in the games he can only make expressions from one half of his face and it’s the side that doesn’t have what’s essentially a fancy eyepatch. On that same side as his covered eye we never see him raise that arm and he has a really big cloak making me wonder if he even has an arm on that side. Japan has some cultural issues with missing limbs and it’s so much of a bigger deal over there than in most western countries. So it would make sense if they had the cloak to basically suggest without showing.
To further support my claims this man is an arm short with a missing eye and a half frozen face he’s notable for his ace having its strongest move be frustration which is a move that gains more power the more it hates its trainer. It’s also notable for being a very violent and dangerous Pokémon. My suggestion to you is that his ace Pokémon turned on him if only briefly and attacked him. Nearly killing him but not securing the kill.
He probably even used his crippled body to gain sympathy and win over N. Using the story of him getting this injury because of the rage of an abused Pokémon.

So I’m still riding off the hype of the S/V DLC and a lot of it seemed to be be based off folktales which is something I really like and I need to info dump my theories so my thoughts are now going into the endless sea known as the internet
I’ll probably split it up into two posts one for each DLC
So first is part one The Teal Mask (most of theories for this one come from my brother and some of them are mine)
Tumblr media
Very epic awesome promo art with characters that show up in part two of the DLC’s promo art
Anyway theory time
Most likely Kitakami is based off Chūgoko which is a prefecture in Japan, it’s a bit away from other places and seems to have mountains nearby and Kitakami was described as being at the base of a mountain
The town however is probably going to be based off a city called Okayama which is a city associated with the legend of Momotaro which the legend of Momotaro seems to actually be very important to the plot and the new Pokémon
In the story a peach was found by an elderly couple and inside was a baby boy which they named Momotaro Momo meaning peach and Taro meaning eldest son, when he grew up though he ended up leaving his family to fight a band of oni where he befriended a talking dog, monkey and pheasant which seem VERY similar to the new Pokémon revealed each based off a dog, monkey and pheasant
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti)
But that probably means that the new Pokémon Ogerpon
Tumblr media
This guy, is Momotaro right? But i don’t think so
Tumblr media
In the sign Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti seem to be chasing it off which means it’s probably based off one of the Oni that they fought with Momotaro which means there might be a Pokémon that takes Momotaro’s place, or YOU the trainer are taking his place and helping rid the island of the Oni Pokémon that are causing problems for the islanders or maybe undiscovering the old story of them and that’s all I have for this DLC part but I do have some theories for the second part as well
I am VERY excited for this DLC and I am definitely looking forward to it

I’ve been rewatching the entire Pokémon anime, and in the episode “Clefairy Tales,” there’s this delusional alien obsessed guy with a device he claims can identify aliens. While it’s mostly brushed off as a fake, their’s something interesting about all of the “aliens” it picks up.
Tumblr media
Clefairy
Tumblr media
Jigglypuff
Tumblr media
And in this last one, he assumes the scanner is picking up on Misty, but it is far more likely that It’s picking up on Togepi instead.
All three of these Pokémon were later retyped as fairy in gen 6.
And considering the fact that these were also the only Pokémon the scanner identified,
This man was walking around with a fairy type detection device 4 generations before it was introduced.
This is a fun coincidence in of itself, but there’s this theory that the reason the fairy type wasn’t acknowledged for so long was because, despite tons of scientific evidence, most of the regions except Kalos and possibly a few others refused to acknowledge fairy type as an actual type until very recently because they felt a fairy type would be unscientific. (I also find it funny, that, assuming this is true, they guy who discovered the fairy type could’ve easily called it ‘light type’ or even ‘sparkle type,’ and have probably gotten praised as a hero in the Pokémon scientific community.)
With this context, it also makes that one scene in X and Y where this random Sylveon trainer told him, “oh yeah, fairy types exist,” and Ash was just like, “okay, cool,” like it was nothing.
I also want you to think about, just for a second, about Oswald (the delusional alien obsessed guy.) and how he probably got obsessed with the concept of aliens in the first place
Imagine being him, noticing that certain Pokémon have these weird disparities between them and the rest of the Pokémon of the same type,
Going on a spiral convincing yourself this must mean their aliens, from another planet,
Then proceed to find out that they were simply another type that the Pokémon professors just… refused to acknowledge.
Once last Cherry to top off this spiral sundae that spawned from a weird anime coincidence,
Was it even a coincidence? Or was some guy on the anime writing team already advocating for an additional type way back in generation 1?
Maybe he just got a specific vibe from them and decided to act on it

Theory about Sandy Shocks
At first I was pretty confused about Sandy Shocks. All ancient Paradox Pokémon are said to come from the past, but with the exception of Scream Tail, no exact time frame is named, and I’m pretty sure 1 billion years is pretty exaggerated. Though it might be related to Mew, who is said to be the ancestor of all Pokémon despite being a pink mammal...
Tumblr media
But that’s not what I want to say. I wanted to say that Sandy Shocks makes no sense. If it is the ancestor of Magnemite and Magneton, this would imply that Pokémon evolution is even weirder than I thought and some natural process has produced creatures that look and function like horseshoe magnets. Which is ridiculous.
The more realistic explanation for Magnemite and Magneton is, that they are artificial Pokémon. The best argument for this is that they only appear in space time anomalies in Legends Arceus, because they don’t exist yet at the time of Hisui. The same is known to be true for Porygon, which also appears in the anomalies. I guess the Magnezone flying around in the wild have evolved from Magneton from earlier anomalies, or they really are of alien origin, as their flying saucer design implies.
Tumblr media
So back to Sandy Shocks. If the Magnemite line didn’t exist yet around 150 years ago at the time of Legends Arceus, how could they have an ancestor from prehistoric times?
Well, what if those space time anomalies have appeared for a very long time? They bring us fossil Pokémon, too, after all. Also, the Pokédex says that Sandy Shocks slightly resembles a Magneton that lived for 10,000 years, so what if an earlier anomaly (or maybe Celebi) sent some Magneton back millions of years, where they over the course of millenia turned into Sandy Shocks, which have later been picked up by Professor Sadas time machine? I think that’s the best explanation we have at the moment apart from the theory that Paradox Pokémon are not really from the past/future but are a figment of the professor’s imaginations.
