Why would transition save them?: "okay. this is literally probably projection. but when i was a little baby nonbinary egg, i was OBSESSED with pokemon adventures...but ESPECIALLY the yellow arc. my baby nonbinary brain was honestly unsure WHY i was so obsessed with yellow...but honestly, looking back, it had some Themes regarding Gender that our system has clung onto since we were a wee epicene. first of all, yellow has to disguise herself as a boy for the mission of saving red when he was...turned to stone if i recall? and he pretty much accepts it, and doesn't seem to mind being perceived as a boy all throughout the adventure. they even use a different name during it's time as a boy: amarillo del bosque verde. however, once xe is eventually "outed" as a girl, kin readily assumes pika's identity as a girl just as quickly as faer identity as a boy was assumed. this whole fluidity with gender leads me to see xir as agenderfluid: an identity i've personally interpreted as an identity with no real inner sense real gender identity but a sort of comfort being perceived as any particular gender, as long as yellow is treated as a person. i don't know; this is kinda just how i see per as a result of my memories of pokemon special."--mod @sunkern-plus

So I really love the pronouns sylv/sylvs and they’re really comfy for me, but my gender doesn’t relate whatsoever to the Pokémon (or pokemon In general) it was based on? (Sylveon, though I do love that Pokémon a lot) Would it be ok to use them? Or would it be appropriating the origins of the pronoun?

We found this specific guide and this reblogged coining submission, we’re not sure who created the pronoun but the second link says it was coined anonymously and also that those pronouns “are intended for use by pokekin (specifically eeveelutions) but anyone can use them”.

Then you can use it. We also see a lot of fae/faer people that are not faekin, so why not?!
