why is there lace? why does she have a neck corset? because she's Gorgeous and I'm the Artist Here. i will always inflict my personal tastes on everyone I draw. pretty bird <3

it's really difficult to put clothes on a bird... stream helped out a bunch with the colors & the leg gear! I imagine that the leather is durable, which is probably the only thing that gets her to traverse less Forgiving terrain. Thornbushes and itchy tallgrass can't hurt her! she's got "boots"! How Does She Secure Them, i hear no one ask. that's what neighbors are for, isn't it? and a skilled beak once she gets the swing of it.

her shawl remains largely the same due to my lack of imagination! i put a lil feather clasp instead of the shawl being tied together to give it a more fantasy-oriented look. i think i succeeded? i like to think so! i imagine that the clasp gives Poppy some stress, though. It's sharp! Ish. it's sharp by her standards!

Poppy's enchanted glasses allow her to "see" injuries and illness, both caused by magical & normal means. this is very helpful in her role as healer, but also extremely stressful - just because she can see issues doesn't mean she automatically knows what they are! to her, a papercut may be misinterpreted by the beginnings of a fatal infection! i like to think that she got tired of needing to hold the glasses in place over her beak and asked if there was a charm to keep them steady. and they confidently had their resident wizard spell them on - oops! the spell was a little too strong! they're now magically superglued on! yeah, those are never coming off.

she also has a magic bag that i imagine was a gift from her family when she left the nest! she'd never directly use it herself - what if she falls in? what if something nasty managed to crawl inside? - but the Neighborhood uses it as collective storage. it can hold a lot! supplies, books, tents, gold, even Julie when she's determined enough!

What would poppet be like if they were a playtime co toy?

The Silly!! Poppet would probably be something of a security protocol! Leading children to and from the orphanage, making sure no one sees something they shouldn’t, and generally keeping the other toys in check. Brainwashed to hell, this one!

I imagine they were made when Poppet’s Traveling Circus was first airing, and Playtime Co. partnered with Charles’ studio to make plushies of some of the characters! Some of the orphans probably saw one, or caught an episode on the tv, and they loved it enough for the company to add our favorite jester to the Bigger Bodies Initiative. Poppet knows every knook and cranny of the factory, and could often be found skipping through the halls, chatting away with higher up employees or other toys.

which!!! literally that song is such a fucking BANGER!!! like when i tell you it was my favorite song all through hs, it carried me. also yes, i'm aware my ( expensive ) taste(s) are flawless. and just like everything about it gives me ravenstan crimson dawn rm vibes? something about it being in the jennifer's body movie soundtrack, all the high highs and low lows ( i do think ravenstan's vocal range is incredible, it probably is kind of giving brendon urie but ~raspier~ ), it's ;) xxx <3

it's just The Song Ever. the rm flagship theme song, or rather, i think because if rm was ever a tv show, i'd have crimson dawn covering style be the intro...i think new perspective is the outro to every episode and might be...the acoustic version? we love a little contrast. i think about the rm tv show too much, i want to write it out.

speaking of writing stuff out tho, sometimes i kind of want to write that little new perspective headstannon scene out where raven is singing to him and kyle is getting very publically rizzed haha. we have to see the save rock fuck a rockstar tanktop and the mini skirt i fear. also jersey writing KYLE <3 really big across his collarbone n sending him out there to sign autographs with a nonexistent ass slap? iconic.

but yes, i love new perspective rem(ember) nation, omg. you guys are so cute. it also means a lot to me because my music taste sort of makes me anxious, so it makes me really excited to share something that i love/music i like and associate with the boys, with all of you and have you enjoy it and think about it also!!! <3333 ilyilyily

nothing to me will ever be more iconic than my beloved mutual managing to get me so invested in a (rarepair) ship for a media i had no previous interaction with that i was actively making my own headcanons abt their potential relationship dynamic and making song associations and engaging in others’ brainrot for months before i ever even considered getting in to said media. and now a year later i’m finally writing fic for them but still know next to nothing abt what they’re like in canon cause i still haven’t made it to that part of the story, the memories of the shared delusion are genuinely the only thing keeping me going.

no it’s just that since i wasn’t tempted by the hype here, when i saw louis’ tweets about it and him (or his Twitter anyway) actually complaining about it leaking (as opposed to him tweeting the home emoji when home leaked, or alternatively when Louis leaked home, aksnsjn), and it was so clear for so long that he worked on walls so hard, that he’s been looking for his own sound and the direction he wants to go, trying to also ascertain where he stands commercially, what are his priorities etc. etc. that i was able to go like ok you know what king? you got it. but eventually i caved (i was not able to live with the fact that there is a louis song I didn’t hear) and was forced to disagree with louis because it’s an absolute bop, i actually love the sound and his voice in it so much!!

jasmine is giving me major trouble with taking her antibiorics and its so frustrating bc i cant mix it into anything. bc she doesnt like shit like that. she likes bland nutritional pellets. she picks at a millet spray like it hurts her (shes has this one for like 3 weeks now and has barely touched it. but i cant give it to the others bc shes in quarantine. she avoids peanut butter completely. she doesnt like fresh fruits or veggies. she doesnt eat enough in a day for me to mix it into her dry food. i can really only give it straight.

do you know how hard it is to hold a mouse still and get a dropper into their mouths? i could probably give a fly brain surgery at this point. you cant hold them too hard bc theyre mice and you cant be too gentle bc then theyre just running everywhere.

Shes started to completely avoid me which is awful bc im her only social interaction rn but i barely ever see her anymore. i have to check if shes still alive sometimes.

Well, what can I say? Poppy playtime chapter 3 is a really interesting chapter? Well, uh. I enjoyed the characters longer than the gameplay itself heh..... And most of all, of course, the smiling critters. GOD Catnap and Dogday are so awesome I can't 😭

I must have been stuck on the buns for a couple minutes...I love their design so much and they look cool in general..... And cute? Yeah. I think they really do.

(I want a separate series on smiling critters... 🥲)

I made some ACNH custom designs for Welcome Home! <3 I've become really invested in the ARG, and it inspired me so much that I just had to make something for it! I'm still working on Frank, Barnaby and Poppy, but I was too excited to wait until all of them were done, so please take these! :0D

(Also: I know the name of the Custom Design Creator is different from the name in my bio, and that's because I made these designs on my sister's profile, which is the only profile on our island with connection to the internet and stuff like the Custom Design Portal. I just felt the need to clarify! <3)

Most importantly, all of the artwork - not to mention the wonderful Welcome Home ARG as a whole - belongs to @partycoffin! Their work is seriously so amazing, and I highly recommend checking them out!

If you're considering getting into Welcome Home, please be aware that it's a horror ARG with elements such as gore/blood, heavy eye contact and staring, unreality/derealization, and puppets/mannequins. It's still being developed, but if any of these may trigger you, then it's probably best to avoid it so as to keep yourself safe!
