Gina's glowing from her date day with EJ, and finds herself getting closer to the answers she seeks. But she's about the learn about a distinct downside of royal life, as she feels the pressure on her (and EJ's) privacy for the first time

So I watched Prom Pact today and I can't stop picturing it as a portwell au

Gina is ambitious like Mandy and would be 100% focused on getting to her dream university (Harvard could work in this au but because this is portwell let's say it's Duke) and season 1 Gina would definitely be the type of person to get close to someone to get a letter of recommendation (after she gets waitlisted at duke)

Enter EJ, the son of Duke graduate and senator Cash Caswell (side note: big shout-out American Royalty by Aroundthewaygirl)

Canon EJ is so similar to Graham: jock, popular, comes across as self-centered (but he really isn't), and his father always seems to be disappointed in him (doesn't matter how hard he tries to meet his expectations). The only difference between canon EJ and Graham is that EJ has good grades, but he can have bad grades in this au, for the sake of needing a tutor (Gina)

I'm a sucker for Family Fluff and the feels double when it happen to involve my favorite ships as parents. Portwell as Parents is such a niche and specific trope that I'm craving.

"Dear Theodosia" from Hamilton the Musical is such a sweet lullaby that I can imagine EJ singing to his child. I'm currently reading Aroundthewaygirl's "It Happened One Night" and my heart is melting at the idea of EJ singing a lullaby and lulling baby Serena to sleep.

Gina let loose an exasperated sigh, ‘Jesus, save me.’ E.J. continued to ignore her though, still deep in thought he murmured, ‘is it like azkaban for brains?’

Her mouth twitched, and she desperately hoped he hadn’t noticed. He already had an ego, she didn’t need to add fuel to the fire by making him think he was funny as well. Which he wasn’t, not one bit. She slung her bag over her shoulder, ‘Nevermind, I’ll speak to Mazzara.’ 

‘Professor Mazzara,’ he corrected almost immediately. Gina shoved him out of the way lightly, ‘fucking hell, give me a break.’ 

E.J. smirked, ‘thats ten points for swearing,’ she had the sudden urge to stick her tongue out at him. And a wave of horror rolled through her. What was she, five?

No, she’d never live that down. ‘Oh fuck off,’ she swore, before rushing out of the library so he couldn’t dock any more points. 

Honestly, she hasn’t met anyone more infuriating than E.J. Caswell.

hey everyone, i'm so sorry i haven't posted ch6 of the portwell wedding planner au yet.

life has been insane and i haven't had the chance to finish the chap - plus i'm battling some insane writer's block because nothing has been going the way i want it to!!!! i write something and then i hate it and just tell myself i'll come back to it in a few hours (spoiler alert: i don't). anyway i'm really hoping it will be done soon. i will try to put out a longer chapter to repent but i have no idea if that will be possible, but something will be out soon i promise

aw thanks! i don’t take it to heart and i sorta understand. i guess the rinas are a bit agitated by the hsmtmts cancellation. no one wins forever lol! sucks to suck. i mean, at least my ship is immortalized by the most incredible fic, tsbu and many other AUs on ao3 🥰

Last night I had a strange dream that's a combination of @aroundthewaygirlao3's Portwell stories "It Starts (Again) with Us" and "A Second Chance is All" but it's Teacher!EJ/Single Mom!Gina AU

Basically EJ is a preschool teacher for a few years now. ASCIA students (Jake, Sierra, Lucy, Connor) are aged down and his students here. His kids all adore him and he's their human jungle gym.

Amaya is his new student here, and gets along with her new classmates. EJ didn't take long to figure out Amaya is Gina's kid since they look so much alike. Cues surprise reunion when Gina fetches her daughter from school.

Gina is a single parent here. I believe Ricky/Gina are either divorced or in a complicated Co-parenting arrangement in my dream. Ricky does visit Amaya from time to time. He is a good parent tho, but he's definitely the "Fun" parent to Gina's "Responsible" (think Kurt and Carrey Martin from Suite Life of Zack and Cody)

I forgot what happens next because my alarm woke me up, but it's such a cute/sweet dream.

Also: the preschoolers were playing pretend at some point. It was Ricky's turn to pick up Amaya for some father-daughter bonding time. The classmates all saw Ricky and declared he's the 'Evil Pudding Stealing Dragon' on sight. One of em (either Jake or Sierra) decked twigs in his direction.
