I want to talk about comfort objects, because I am currently feeling extremely anxious, and my comfort objects are what is keeping it from getting worse.

A comfort object is, well, an object that comforts someone. I'm pretty sure allistics can have them, but I know it's a lot more common for autistic people.

I have quite a few comfort objects, but currently my main one is an off brand squishmallow type tsum tsum type thing of Kuromi.

This Kuromi, my current main comfort object, is named Kuromi and she uses she/they pronouns. I was gifted them by my best friend, and they smell like my friend too because she is sprayed with my friends purfume. My best friends purfume is a very comforting scent for me, which adds to the comfort she provides.

I am really scared to get them dirty, so she hasn't gone anywhere with me outside of my house and one car ride. I do like taking comfort objects with me, though. SOME of my other comfort objects include:

Matthew (he/they) (build a bear frog)

Casper (he/him) (poundpuppies retro reboot)

Edward (he/xe) (Figurine of the 2022 riddler)

Julia (She/her) (plushie of Julia from Seseame Street)

A pin of a red converse shoe (given to me by the same friend who gave me Kuromi)

And of course a lot more that I didnt list. I feel like the easiest for me to bring around without worrying about getting dirty or being judged is the pin, and the second easiest is Edward.

Dudr i just realized how utterly demented it is that I got killed for wifing lucky poundpuppies in the inaninate insanity discord like this is an entire server full of people who will gladly talk about how they want to make out with cartoon objects while not being attracted to real objects (cowardly but I digress) becaue the cartoon objects talk and have personalities and sapience but once you want to be boy best friends with a cartoon dog that talks and has a personality and sapience oh boy it s all over for you buddy.
