Not fully formed but I’m thinking about how the internet has given us so many more options for media. We don’t go to work or school and find loads of people who watched the same thing as us last night like pre-internet. So instead of finding commonality in sameness we find fascination in difference. What did you do/see? Why was it good? What did you learn from it? Are the reasons you like it reasons I would like it? Regardless, who do I know who would like it too? I can’t wait to tell them!

I think that’s part of why Ed and Stede and the whole of OFMD are so wonderful. They all love each other because they’re different, not because they’re the same. I don’t think Wee John has anywhere near the same understanding of the world as Frenchie. Lucius and Pete aren’t just different in their approaches to masculinity, they’re massively different in their ability to read people and their goals for interactions. Ed and Stede have a bond partly based in having to stifle parts of themselves for fear of danger, and that gives a strength to their understanding and trust, but the real joy comes from the differences. They lap them up - can’t get enough! "You're a fuckin' lunatic and I like it" is practically their motto! I don’t think they’ll stop looking at each other with amazement and wonder until they can’t look anymore

Been trying to get back into painting because!!! I want to get back into touch with my technical skills. I love drawing cartoons it is my passion!! But I find myself missing the more classical forms of art, like the painting and charcoal work I focused on in school. I'm thinking of adding these pet portraits to my Commission rotation! I've had some friends say that 30$ is a good price but I work heavily from the references I'm provided so I'm not sure if that's the best one to stick with? Do you charge more or less for that?? I'm still not sure about the pricing of my cartoons, let alone works like this! If anyone out there in the art community has any opinions, tips, advice, etc I'd love to hear it! A portrait like one of these usually takes me between 2-3 hours, and I use a digital program (Clipstudio) along with a basic oil brush that came with it.

And Now, Introducing... An Excerpt From a Fic I'm Writing Instead of the Third Installment of the AU I Should be Writing!

Kinger waved goodbye to Ragatha, offering a reassuring smile (or, at least the closest he could get to a smile) to her that stayed plastered on his face until she finally disappeared into her room. After that, the hallway was officially empty, and Kinger let out a heavy sigh of both relief and annoyance. It was rare for the eldest of the cast to feel such a way, but one couldn't really blame him after everything he'd just been through.

Speaking of...

Kinger stepped into his own room, shutting his door quietly and reveling in the darkness. The bitty nightlight plugged in next to his bed made Kinger chuckle; it was a gift from Pomni, a sort of "Thank you for being there when I need you."

And no, he hadn't cried for about an hour later that day because he felt so grateful, thank you very much!

Or, maybe he had? Honestly, he didn't really remember.

Regardless, Kinger loved the gift with every bit of his digital heart. Every time he looked at it, he found that it had become yet another way to stabilize his brain and stay lucid for hours on end. Some of that time had been spent with Pomni herself, the two sharing stories and delighting in each other's presence until Caine called for Lights Out.

"Kinger? Is everyone gone?" A small voice asked, startling the man and making him yelp in response. "Shh! Shh! I'm sorry!" A pair of fluffy paws popped out from the small blanket bundle on Kinger’s bed (was that a nest of some sort? It certainly looked like it) in an obvious attempt to soothe Kinger. "I thought you were lucid."

Kinger looked at the bundle and blinked slowly, one eye at a time as he processed what was just said to him. The voice sounded familiar; high-pitched and sweet, even through the very apparent anxiety of its owner.

Where had he heard that voice before?

"Um... Kinger?" The voice asked, followed by the nest (and yes, Kinger decided, that's what it was) shuffling around until a head popped out to look at him. A small head with wide, almost cartoonish eyes and a pout that was less upset and more confused. It was s bunny, an innocent creature whose nose wiggled and ears twitched every so often; the wide eyes locked onto Kinger in questioning, their pinwheel pupils large and nearly taking up every bit of space available.

Huh, that's funny. Those eyes kind of looked like Po-

Wait.

Oh.

Oh.

"Pomni!" Kinger whisper-shouted, rushing over to the girl and feeling immensely guilty for forgetting what had happened earlier. The poor jester-turned-rabbit squeaked and reeled back slightly, alerting Kinger that sudden movements weren't necessarily the greatest idea. Pomni had already been skittish in her first avatar; being turned into a small prey animal must have heightened the feeling beyond comprehension. "Oh! Forgive me, dear. I forgot about your... nervousness."

"It's okay." Pomni replied, her voice a mere whisper. "Is... is everyone gone?"

"Ah, yes! I managed to convince everyone that you simply wanted to spend time in here! A friendly sleepover!" Kinger stood straighter as he spoke, obviously proud of his accomplishment. It had not been easy, especially when trying to convince people like Zooble, who was always skeptical, alongside-

"Even Jax? Wow, that's impressive." Pomni hummed, giggling at Kinger’s preening. He did deserve it, she supposed. Throwing Jax off even the slightest of suspicious trails was... well, difficult would likely be the easiest (and nicest) word to use. "So... what now? Caine likely won't be back until morning. And even then, who knows if he'll have figured out how to fix me."

"That's true, but I don't think it's right to say he'd be 'fixing you' per se. There's nothing broken about you; you're perfect as is." Kinger slowly made his way to his bed and sat next to Pomni’s next, laying a hand down and mentally cheering as she placed a (slightly trembling) paw atop it. "Why not, instead of worrying ourselves half to Abstraction, we try..."

"Not thinking about it?" Pomni asked, already familiar with the wise and kind words that had helped soothe her after more than one nightmare and panic attack.

"Not thinking about it." Kinger agreed, his eyes closing and robe fur puffing up with unbridled joy as Pomni gently pressed her forehead against his.

"Aww, ain't this just the cutest sight?" Jax’s voice suddenly echoing through the room made both Kinger and Pomni jump. He watched as Pomni disappeared into her nest and Kinger stood in front of it, trying (and failing) to distract Jax from the situation. "Y'know, I've always wondered what it would be like to have another rabbit around here. Never thought I'd get an answer like this."

Kinger forced out a laugh, swinging a hand in a playful manner. "Oh, Jax! You certainly are funny! Say, I think I noticed Gangle walking around earlier!" It was a horrible move, trying to use Gangle as some sort of safety net, but Kinger didn’t really have much of a choice here, did he? He couldn't yell for Caine, that would just alert everyone else to the situation, and Kinger didn’t trust himself to stay lucid enough to shoo Jax away if the rabbit even so much as stepped to the side and revealed the slightest bit of light.

"Yeah? I'll have to pay her a visit." Jax swung the key to Kinger’s room around with feigned disinterest, eyes fixed on the man in front of him, and ears focused solely on the nervous squeaking coming from the nest behind him. "Say, I think I'll take that little bundle ya got over there. Give it a new home and whatnot."

"You will do no. Such. Thing." Kinger stiffened and glared at Jax, the fur on his robe now puffing up for a different reason. "Go to your room, Jax. I don't want to hurt you."

"Oh, Kinger," Jax chuckled, stopping the key's swinging and twisting his hand, watching calmly as it seemingly disappeared into thin air. His own fur puffed up slightly, making him look just this side of intimidating. "I'd love to see you try..."

In Brazil at least

I wanted to write a proper homage and pay my respect and admiration to my coleagues, but I lack inspiration to do it in a way Instagram will like it (can you tell I struggle with that platform? Hope so - maybe I'll take this text and post there) so here goes nothing.

I love my profession, it's a dream career for me since we can do SO MUCH within Library Sciences; all of the Information Society counts on and constantly depends on the libraries. Though it might look like all librarians do is ask for silence, wear cardigans and put books back on the shelves (while complaining bc someone put them back out of order) what we do is so much more. From peer review to normalizing academic works, from incentives to reading habits to educational propositions to make knowledge accessible, you can be sure there was a librarian involved.

I fell in love with this world at age 17 and though it becomes each day harder to follow this path - since we're living in the Fake News generation and the A.I. themes are so full of controversies - I wouldn't choose anything different than helping people through knowledge.

All of the doubts explained, all of the services provided, all of the college articles reviewed, all of the small children finding out they love to read, all of the younger friends falling in love with Library Sciences, they all make this so much worth it. I found my way of making the world a bit better and for it I am forever thankful.

So, to all of the librarians on this site (that I hadn't have the pleasure of meeting yet), happy Librarian Day (in Brazil at least) And to all undergrads thinking this is something they might wanna pursue, give it a shot; chances are you won't regret it.

You have been a huge fan of Reneé for the longest time, you have seen her on Broadway and ever since then you have been in love. You were so happy when you got tickets to her concert, you have been counting down the days to go and it has finally come, getting ready with your friend was the best feeling ever, you were so nervous knowing that you got VIP tickets, I mean, you were excited to meet her, but you were also very nervous. 

The thought of it still hasn't hit yet, but you have planed what you will say to her because you really don't want to stuff it up. Your friend was currently putting putting you on your eye make up and she wasn't a big of a fan as you, so she wasn't feeling as nervous as you are right now. "You okay?" She asks it sweetly. You breath heavily "Yeah I'm okay.." she smiles, continuing  your make up. 

The time had finally came, you were driving to the concert, It was quite early since you wanted a good place, that was close to the front, you lined up and saw a few others (mostly lesbians) that had already started lining up. You kept practcing what you would say to Reneé, your friend helped calm you down because she could sense your nervousness. 

Time passes quickly you were holding the barricade with a huge smile on your face, you were so excited you couldn't contain your energy.  Time passes and Reneé finally comes on stage, you lose your shit, you can't believe see is right there. As you're singing along will all the words, you're friend taps you on the shoulder to show that Reneé is currently looking at you, you look into her eyes and you scream, making her laugh. 

The show goes on quickly, but Reneé interacted with the audience a lot making sure that everyone had a good time. Its a Reneé Rapp concert, everyone will have a good time no matter what was the only thought on your mind. You were now waiting for the meet and greet you were feeling very nervous as you walked dup to her, "Hi.." you say shyly. She giggles, giving you a big hug.

You're friend is on the side, taking photos and a video of the moment, you pull out of the hug and start to talk. "I love your work so much, you inspire me with your songs and I really wish i could be as talented as you." You didn't even realise it but you were crying, Reneé noticed before you did and wiped your tears with her sleeve. "Oh my god.. I'm so sorry." you apologise for crying but she assures you that it's okay. "You're so sweet..How old are you?" 

"I'm 23." (But tomorrow I turn 23-) She smiles, nodding, the photographer takes the photo and you bid your goodbyes, this moment felt so surreal and you knew you would be sad once it is all over so you cherish every single second of it, and your friend is filming it, so every time you want to watch over it you can. As you left, you were walked away with a smile on your face. 

You spent the car ride back, looking over your videos and smiling at the run night you had, you posted the videos to social media, you don't have a huge platform, but you keep in public because you like to share your life with others, as soon as you posted it, you put your phone down and talked to your friend, who was happy for you. As soon as you got home, you went straight to bed.

You wake up with many notifications from Instagram, you look at it very confused, you check to see that not only did your post go viral but Reneé Rapp had commented, your hands were shaking as you read her comment. 

"Such as sweet girl."

 You were a happy she said girl rather then fan, it made you feel better. You liked the comment and got ready to think of a reply but that was when you got an even more shocking notification. Reneé Rapp had messaged you, at that point in time your friend was still asleep, you were to focussed on this to wake her up, you open the message and you can feel your jaw get wider as you read it. 

"Never in my life have I met a fan that was sweet and as caring as you, (or as pretty) the way you talked to me makes me want to get to know you more, we could start through texts or I could take you out, I don't really mind." - Reneé.

Was Reneé asking you out? Did Reneé just call you pretty? You had so much questions running through your head, the whole thing was to hard to think straight, so you texted back without thinking. 

"I'd prefer to go out :)"

Shit. What if she thinks you desperate? I mean she did ask you but what if this isn't her? your train of thoughts got cut off from the notification sound of her texting back. She said to meet at a certain location at 6pm. It was already 11am, you only had 7 hours to get ready. You hoped out of bed at the speed of light, hoping in the shower, making sure to wash your hair and shave your legs. 

An hour had already passed and you were out of the shower, drying your hair, once you finish you go back into the room and see that you friend is finally staring to wake up. "What are you rushing for?" You're friend askes you, her eyes adjusting to the light. "Oh.. I have a date.." You mumble. Her eyes went wide. "Really, with who?"

You look down, knowing she wouldn't believe you, looking back into her eyes you say, "Reneé..." She laughs, rolling her eyes, waiting for you to say who you are going on a date with, but it never came, she looks into your eyes, "You're serious," you nod, throwing your phone to her, she catches it and reads the chat and her eyes went wide and a big smile appaired on her face.

You got ready for the date, you didn't wear anything way to fancy because you weren't exactly sure if it was a date or not. You just wore a black mini dress with nude coloured heels, Your friend dropped you off and you waited for Reneé, you smiled when you saw her, she was wearing black pants and a cream coloured blouse. "Hi," She smiled. 

"Hi," You blushed, she smiled at you, giving you a small hug, looking at you up and down, "You look really pretty.." She smiles, "you do too." She smiles and you walk in to the place, she opens the door for you, and pulls out your chair. 

You get to know each other more, Reneé is a really good listener, you love the way she looks at you when you tell her about something. You also listen to her, you found out some things  that you would have never guessed about her. 

"My friend was so shocked when she found out we were going on a date with you.." You tell her, she gives you a confused look before saying, "Date?"  

You face goes read out of embarrassment, you try to think of some words to say, you just feel so embarrassed, "Y/n, it's okay, I was just kidding," She giggles, grabbing your hand, you take a deep breath and calm down, "Of course it's a date," You blush, she's so handsome. 

The date came to an end and Reneé told you that she would drive you home, so you told your friend that. As she pulled up into your drive way, as you were about to leave the car, she held your hand, "I had a good time tonight, I really want to go out again," 

You nod, you look into her eyes and see that see is staring at your lips, you look at hers, she puts her hand on your cheek and pulls you in for a kiss, the kiss is nothing big just a light kiss against the lips, perfect for the first kiss. 

You pulled away, she looked into your eyes and smiled. You said goodbye, and finally left, Reneé made sure that you were in the house before driving off. As soon as you got inside your friend was on the couch. "Tell me everything!"
