Building Bridges:
A Pragmatic Approach to Progressive Socialism
In today's highly polarized political landscape, promoting progressive socialism may seem like an uphill battle. However, it is possible to advocate for progressive values without being pigeonholed as a "bleeding heart liberal." By focusing on shared goals, practical solutions, and inclusive language, we can bridge divides and foster constructive dialogue that brings us closer to a more equitable society for all.
Emphasizing Common Goals
At the heart of progressive socialism lies a vision of a fairer, more just society. Rather than emphasizing ideological differences, let us concentrate on shared goals. From economic fairness to accessible healthcare and quality education, these aspirations resonate with people from various political backgrounds. By highlighting our common desire for a better future, we can create a space for meaningful discussions that transcend partisan lines.
Solutions for Real-World Challenges
Progressive socialism is not just a theoretical construct; it offers practical solutions to real-world problems. Let us move beyond abstract ideologies and delve into tangible policies that address pressing issues. From raising the minimum wage to advocating for affordable housing and comprehensive social safety nets, these policies can empower individuals and uplift communities. By presenting concrete solutions, we can inspire hope and action.
Stories of Success
Around the world, nations have successfully implemented progressive socialist policies that have positively impacted their citizens. From universal healthcare in European countries to robust social programs in Scandinavia, we have inspiring success stories to share. These examples demonstrate that progressive socialism can lead to prosperity, societal well-being, and greater equality.
Embracing Shared Values
Progressive socialism aligns with deeply held values such as compassion, solidarity, and fairness. Let us emphasize how these principles are at the core of our vision for a more inclusive society. By framing our message around shared values, we can find common ground and foster understanding with individuals who might have different political affiliations.
Addressing Concerns
Acknowledging concerns and criticisms is essential to building trust and credibility. Let us engage in respectful conversations and provide evidence-backed responses to apprehensions about progressive socialism. By addressing these concerns head-on, we can demonstrate that our ideology is grounded in practicality and thoughtful consideration.
Collaborative Efforts
Building a better future requires collective action. By partnering with diverse groups, including those with differing political beliefs, we show that progressive socialism is not an isolated ideology but an inclusive movement. Collaboration allows us to tap into the unique perspectives and expertise of various individuals, fostering a sense of unity in our pursuit of common goals.
Promoting progressive socialism requires us to be pragmatic, compassionate, and open-minded. By focusing on shared aspirations, practical solutions, and inclusive language, we can transcend political divisions and bring people together. Let us build bridges of understanding and work collaboratively to create a society that values economic fairness, social justice, and equal opportunities for all. Together, we can forge a path towards a brighter and more equitable future.

Stop the juggling act.

Let's be brutally honest: juggling a dozen social media platforms isn't a strategy. It's a fast track to burnout and, frankly, piss-poor results. You think you're everywhere, but are you anywhere that matters?

At Umitech, we cut through the crap. We build focused, high-impact digital strategies that don't just look good; they convert. We're talking websites that sell, SEO that ranks, and content that actually engages – stuff that makes a genuine difference to your bottom line. Imagine swapping that frantic juggling for a clear, powerful plan that grows your business.

Miles watching Justin fumbling with his pockets, seeming quite unimpressed what the display. This is someone that's supposed to be entrusted with machines and a gun? Mann Co. would hire anyone it seems.
"Justin, is it? Could I help you with something?" He asked impatiently. Those ruby red eyes gave away his displeasure with having his day interrupted by this nonsense.
Justin walks up to Miles intently, holding a head of garlic. "Howdy. Uhh.. I think you mighta dropped this?"
Almost nervous, the BLU engineer held out the vegetable and studied the Administrator's face for any signs of.. aversion. Disgust? Allergic reaction?
The imposing administrator stared down at the engineer, then his eyes shifted down to the bulb in his hand. He didn't come close, but not because he had some sort of aversion to the crop, he just liked his personal space.
"I believe you're mistaken," he stated with a half step away from him, "I wouldn't carry such a thing casually."

Making the Gunslinger
NO I did not chop off my arm for this 👎 but I thought I'd showcase how I made this for my Engie cosplay as well :] you can see the video on the Engietail here
Resources / notes so you can make your own below :D
I printed a free design made by the talented user PracticalSolutions on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5821741
My 3D printer is a Bambu A1 and I used ur average PLA filament. If you don't have a 3D printer, many local libraries have started adopting public-use printers & there is no shortage of people online who will send you prints!
Also.. pro tip... please don't use a knitted glove like I did!! The thing unravels so fast, and gets hot easily. Literally any other material would have been better haha
Next project for me is the Dell Dozer.. because I have so much EVA left..

Music used in video:
Walk, Don't run Stereo - The Ventures
Ring of fire (instrumental) - Johnny Cash

tagged by @practicalsolutions: list 5 things you could talk about for an hour without previous preparation
Undertale/Deltarune: story, worldbuiding, lore, meta analysis, characters, character arcs, symbolism, letimotifs, theories, etc
Pokémon: general pokémon data (stats, typings, availability, movesets, competitive usage, etc), discussion about the quality of the games, spin-offs, general lore, basic VGC knowledge, basic nuzlocking knowledge
My OCs/worldbuilding projects: grouping these together bc otherwise i could just keep listing one after the other lol. general lore, character backgrounds, magic systems, worldbuilding, symbolism, etc
Character design: specially if we're talking about fantasy races/animals. analysing a character's design, telling a character's story through their design, symbolism, realistic fantasy anatomy, etc
Birds: not because i know an excessive amount of knowledge about them (i still think my knowledge is above average tho) but because i love them very much and i'd just spend the time gushing about them <3
tagging: @l-i-n-u-s-k-a, @featheredcritter, @thicc-pirate, @pitiable-arisen, @princessmagpie, @rowan-e-ravenwood, @pipcoded and anyone who feels like it :p
(you are not contractually obligated to do this if you don't want to btw, feel free to ignore it ^^)

This is gonna be where I put all the weird hecking furry/monster nsfw stuff that shouldn't be put on @practicalsolutions. There are minors following me there. At least with a sideblog, I can have a consistent theme, unlike the chaos of my main.
Here, if I really need to exert control over who can see the content, I can password protect it or block people (can side blogs block a separate list of blogs independent from the main blog?).
This is not the fun 3D printer project blog. This is not the sfw tf2 art/meme reblog area. This is not gonna be where I liveblog my ongoing existential crisis or my office job. If you want that, go to my main.
Follow this blog if you aren't a minor and don't mind nasty furry/terato/mecha stuff on your dash.

trying to plan out how im gonna make the base of the gunslinger out of kandi and ohhh man. i have no clue what i'm doing [ramblings under cut]
i've already got the hand bits thanks to @/practicalsolutions' 3d print models so the hardest part is out of the way. my current thoughts are uhh. lemme make a drawing
like a 2x base with the extra layer on top right. like my hot topic cuff

but the issue is there's also this piece here;
that grey bit with the buttons(?). if i do a 2x cuff that'll be harder right. so my next thought was to make the whole thing a multistitch built on a bumper base- like my sun and moon cuff but just. yk. Longer. but the issue with that is that's gonna be SOOO fucking bulky. my next best guess is combining the 2x style with the multistitch bumpers which will probably work. but at the same time i'm still kinda nervous about it

i can handle those yellow wires and stuff with just some single strands probably. that'll be fine.
so that piece i'll have connected to the gunslinger umm. somehow. theres a hole in the base i can run a string through and maybe make a chain stitching them together.
but then we have The Bullshit with the other piece
i think it's kind of an octagon? on the front there's this keypad, wires, and a light (i think). the wires have a tab they stick out from, which has a smaller light on it.
here's the back, an elastic strap. this part makes me mad.
so it looks something like this from the bottom. if anyone complains about the quality of this drawing i will kill you.
i think i could do something like peyote stitch for the base of this piece, but after that point i think i'd need to learn how to do shape cuffs for the octagonish spots. i can probably make the lights & keypads out of perler beads?
this would hug the inside of my arm nicely & i could switch colors midway for the elastic strap. the main issue i can foresee is stitching on the shape cuff bits so they don't look awkward. engineer tf2 i love you but this is a wack ass design to translate.
