Also the fact that pre-AA Virgil got a purple wall before he was given purple as his designated colour is kinda awesome foreshadowing—

And now I want him to wear this half and half hoodie when he inevitably gets a costume revamp! (Probably lol)

He really did have the costume changes, the dark sides and the fact that Virgil would change and go through a ‘which side am I on’ crisis planned all the way back in 2017! That’s crazy to me!

Pre-aa, Virgil was very uncomfortable with Remus. Janus knew this, and Janus helped him through his time with the core sides and his acceptance so he could move on from Remus. Virgil saw it as Janus pushing him away, which caused Virgil's hatred towards him.

Conclusion: Virgil no like Remus, Janus help Virgil get away from Remus but didn't mean to push him away entirely. Virgil took his help the wrong way

Pre-AA, Virgil comes up with a new way of keeping Remus out of his room once a month. Once Remus figures out how to get past it, Virgil gets progressively more and more exhausted towards the end of the month until he changes it, and then he can sleep without worrying about Remus's interference again.

I love the idea that he has Catra-esque interactions with Roman before AA, just because I think it's really funny. They "Hey Princey" here is absolutely supposed to be read in the same tone as "HeY AdOrA-"

Very recent sketches...kinda. Guess they're not completely sketches but they're certainly not complete drawings. Need to relearn side-profiles. Anyway, I love pre AA Virgil and I thought it would be a neat idea if he got more and more fed up with Janus and the others so he starts to be a bit more...prickly. But he makes a deal with Thomas saying he'll go back to being friendly if Thomas gives him more control. Thus giving him the power to deal with 'the others' in his own way. Ooooh spooky. Got a cool idea for an animatic but that's for Future Me.
