the vast majority of coding is just white noise to me, even the stuff that's supposed to be super beginner friendly like drag and drop prefab interfaces. except for html. I Get html.

Cozytober Day 3: Hot Chocolate
masterpost
“You just had to make a mess on your way, didn’t you?” Jason asked as he stepped over Danny’s shed clothing.
“Yes,” Danny said, just to be cheeky.
He could be cheeky with Jason. Jason might huff and puff or snark back, but it was always in good fun with each other. Somethings were off limits, but they’d both made a deal to be honest about what those were. So far it had worked out.
Jason sighed. “Leave me to clean up your mess after you, carry you around, make you hot chocolate…”
“Hot chocolate?” Danny asked, sitting up in Jason’s arms. Jason’s hot chocolate was a thing of the divine.
“Mhum,” Jason agreed with a hum as he dropped Danny carefully onto the couch.
Danny let himself lay there like a dead fish as he tried to give Jason his best puppy dog eyes.
“Put those eyes away,” Jason said with a chuckle. He leaned down and pressed a kiss right between Danny’s eyes. “I already said I’d make it. Do you want the works?”
“Yes,” Danny said. He shifted a little on the couch so that he could still watch Jason as he moved over to the kitchen area of the open plan space. “Your day?”
“Oh. It was okay,” Jason said as he gathered what he needed and put a pot on the stove. “I think that we’re finally making some real progress on the plans for the affordable housing. There’s a place in German that does a lot of what we want and need in their prefab walls. Obviously shipping that far would make it cost prohibitive, but they seem interested in maybe setting up a workshop here as long as Gotham helps with the initial costs. It might be a good deal in the end for both them and the city.”
“That’s great!” Danny knew how hard Jason had been working at this project, and how many times there had been insurmountable seeming roadblocks.
“It really is. And a new industry means new jobs. We might be able to tie it in with the workforce alternative we’ve got started with the court system too. I might also be counting my chickens before they hatch but…”
“Hope.”
“Yeah, but hope,” Jason agreed softly.
“Proud of you,” Danny said.
He could see Jason’s ears flush all he way from the couch. Danny tried to tell Jason he was as proud of him as often a he could, both because of the cute response but because Danny didn’t think Jason knew how good he was.
“Nothings don’t yet,” Jason said.
“Proud. Of. You,” Danny said with pointed enunciation.
Jason muttered an adorable grumble as he fussed with breaking up the real chocolate bar that he used in the hot chocolate. Danny closed his eyes and just listened to Jason moving around, out of words the moment. One of the reasons he liked being at Jason’s more than his tiny shoe box was the noise of someone else moving around him.
“Up we go, boo,” Jason urged softly some time later.
Danny cracked a wide yawn and used the moment of swinging his legs off the couch to get himself somewhat sitting up. Jason slotted into place beside Danny and helped prop him up before he tipped back over again. Danny happily burrowed in against Jason’s broad shoulder.
“Eyes open,” Jason said.
Resisting a grumble, Danny opened his eyes and took the large mug in front of his face. He cradled it for a moment, just enjoying the warmth, before he took a long, slow sip. The richness of chocolate and warmth of spice bloomed over his tongue. Danny let out a happy sigh.
“The best.”
Jason chuckled. “You just like me for my hot chocolate.”
“Lies. Also have a very nice co—”
“Danny!” Jason admonished between a bout of startled laughter.
Danny grinned to himself, proud as always to make Jason laugh like that, free and bright. He rewarded himself with another sip of his drink.

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your attention and support! As promised earlier, I’m kicking off my series of posts about my Eastern European-inspired town for The Sims 3. Today, I’ll be talking about architectural references—what inspired me the look and feel of the town.
I wanted to create a city that could exist in any part of Eastern Europe. To achieve this, I primarily based it on Polish, Serbian, Hungarian, and Slovak cities. However, some buildings, names, and references are taken from other countries in the region. For example:
The fire station is based on a real building from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The socialist-era apartment districts borrow Czech terminology — they’re called "Paneláky" (a nod to prefab concrete housing).
My earliest references came from screenshots I took in "Euro Truck Simulator 2" while exploring the "West Balkans" DLC. Beyond just architecture, i studied street layouts, building placements, and environmental details to recreate that atmosphere in Create A World (CAW).
For the town’s master plan, I scoured Pinterest using keywords like "urban planning" and "masterplan." This helped me sketch out the basic structure, though CAW’s limitations meant some ideas had to be adapted — or even sparked new, unexpected solutions.
A stroke of luck was finding a suitable gray color palette with hex codes on Pinterest, which was used for most of the buildings. I think these colors make the city look as authentic as possible.
For building the "Paneláky", I searched for real-life building floor plans and blueprints in communities dedicated to Soviet standardized architecture. I also stumbled upon a YouTube video where a girl recreated a similar building from her childhood in The Sims 4. (I didn’t save the link, but if I find it, I’ll share it in the comments.) Combining these two approaches, I managed to recreate several different versions of "Paneláky" in The Sims 3.
Building private houses was especially interesting. You know the type — cheaply renovated, filled with carpets, and an unreasonably large number of armchairs and sofas. The Serbian real estate website 4zida.rs was a huge help here. Using floor plans from Pinterest and photos from cheap house listings on 4zida, I managed to build Eastern European houses that you’ll see in the game.
In the later stages of construction, once I had developed techniques and adjusted scales, I searched for suitable buildings on Google Maps and in photos from urbanist bloggers. For example, this is how the entertainment center on the outskirts of the Novo-Bobrowo district came to be. However, I mostly used this method when constructing one of the central streets, where I didn’t plan to place residential or active community lots.
I think I’ve covered all the main ways I gathered references for the buildings and city layout. Thank you again for your support — it means so much that you’re excited for this project! Stay tuned for more updates.

Rotterdam's Solarpunk Aesthetic manifests in floating new neighbourhood
The Spoorweghaven community, designed by Danish maritime architects MAST, presents a vivid vision for the future. With over a hundred low-cost apartments, commercial spaces, and a recreational harbor, this floating development is more than an engineering feat—it is a celebration of Scandinavian ingenuity and urban adaptability.
Tumblr media
In a country where water and land have always danced a delicate waltz, this project proposes a new choreography—one where homes, public spaces, and even gardens gently float above the ground. The design respects the Dutch tradition of living with water, yet speaks with a distinctly Nordic sensibility, favoring clean lines, communal zones, and a seamless connection to nature.
Tumblr media
MAST collaborated with the Scottish company Biomatrix to create over 900 square meters of floating reed beds that encircle the perimeter of the site. These reeds do more than beautify the edge—they cleanse the harbor water, attract birds and fish, and bring a soft, living border to the modular forms. The buildings themselves are constructed off-site and then towed into position, a method that minimizes disturbance and celebrates the logic of Scandinavian prefab traditions.
Tumblr media
The sense of community is gently woven into every aspect of the development. Shared green spaces and walkways become informal meeting points, while the continuous blue ribbon of navigable water invites both residents and visitors to experience the city from an entirely new vantage. The architecture does not impose, but rather settles in lightly and thoughtfully, making space for both human and non-human life.

ULTRAKILL INDULGENCE Development Log (31/01/25)
Hello again! It's been a bit, I had intended to do an update every couple of days but you can probably tell how well that went for me, a lot of things happened like the storm across my country and a lot of work on this, I almost lost the project file too funilly enough.
Tumblr media
Over the last week I've went back to working on the main city portion of the level, mostly optimisations and bringing some old geometry up to par with the new stuff. I had to port a ton of prefabs such as streetlamps and benches from probuilder meshes into regular meshes which was absolutely not fun, probuilder prefabs cause lag and extend export times but luckily with this change I've shaved down export times from about 15 minutes to 6. There was a very weird issue with the transition process that caused every instance of the prefab in the level to generate its own probuilder mesh, and I still haven't fixed all of them yet, I actually did it to every single window on every single building so that'll be fun to replace, that's a problem for future me though.
Tumblr media
Now that we finally got the heads up from Dave that the ultrakill update is releasing next month (probably) that means I-2 development will probably slow down before then and pick up once it's out, I've been holding off until then to start on the super cool technical shit. I've been concepting a rework to the Blood Siphon mechanic I teased a few months ago too (https://youtu.be/SUBHZg4Tqpo warning, its bad) due to the scope of the level, mainly the use of infighting, changing a lot and not really requiring these to be used as much as I had intended. If I end up doing it, it'll reinvent a super cool enemy concept I had for Indulgence at one point, It was initially going to be in I-2, got scrapped for the Neutralizers and I had briefly intended to introduce it in I-3 before realising that's a nightmare for pacing with all the other shit I have planned. It's a bit of a shame because the design was super cool, but I'll probably have the reworked blood siphon retain some of its elements.
Hopefully this is a sufficent way to work it into the campaign without having to write a bunch of lore and introduce it well (although it probably will have some still, just not an entry) So no new enemy in I-3 probably, which is good or bad depending on how you look at things, but I think it's better this way. I'll hopefully power through the remaining main city geometry before the rewrite update releases, then I can move onto the fun stuff I have planned (or maybe just keep working on I-S until then), but that's a topic for another devlog. See you next time!

If you're looking for an internal door, a balcony door, or any other sort of door in India, our extensive selection of high-quality PVC doors is sure to match your needs and preferences. Similarly, a Gypsum Board False Ceiling is a popular and adaptable piece for Hotel Interior work that gives a space both functional and aesthetic value. Let's take a look at the reason why you should choose them.
Tumblr media
Why Should You Choose a PVC Door Window?
There are numerous advantages to PVC windows and doors. Here are Six reasons why you should think about getting them installed.
Value for Money
Installing new or replaced windows and doors is a significant expenditure, but choosing PVC windows and doors over other options can lower the entire cost.
Yes, this is correct. Despite their appearance, PVC Door Window are typically less expensive than their timber and aluminium equivalents.
Durable
Driving rain, searing sun, and freezing temperatures will have no influence on your PVC windows and doors. They will not deteriorate, buckle, distort, or rot.
PVC products are weather, damp, and pollution resistant, and they endure much longer than conventional window and door materials.
Maintenance-free
The fact that PVC door window require very minimal upkeep is one of their biggest benefits.
Use a soapy towel to clean them down on occasion. They'll recover as if nothing happened. Put the ladders away; there is no need for regular timber treatment or painting today. What a relief.
Variety of Styles
The style of your doors and windows may greatly alter the appearance of your home, so it's no surprise that homeowners spend time selecting the perfect windows and doors for their home.
Forget dull; there are a variety of fascinating designs ranging from ultra-modern and eccentric to rustic and lovely. We're off to Grand Designs!
Window styles include Casement, Tilt & Turn, French, Vertical Sliding, Bay, and Bow.
PVC doors are also available in a variety of styles, including residential, multi-folding, French, composite, panelled, patio- sliding, and stable.
Increased Security
Old-fashioned single-glazed windows in timber frames have various weak areas that an attacker can exploit. Wooden frames, particularly those that are old and badly maintained, can be easily prised open.
Whatever style of property you have, you will discover the ideal PVC windows and doors.
Colour range
White, white, white. That was the complaint levelled about PVC household products. But that was then; this is now. Choose from white, misty blues, and delicate greens, or anthracite grey and black, which are more majestic and aristocratic.
Why Choose Gypsum False Ceiling?
Here are benefits of Gypsum False Ceiling.
Noise Protection
Gypsum ceilings offer additional noise protection, making them a preferred choice over other fake ceiling materials. So, if you live near a busy road or in a noisy environment, gypsum ceilings are undoubtedly the finest solution for you. Gypsum False Ceiling Delhi NCR provides good sound isolation. Gypsum is known for its capacity to absorb excess noise. Gypsum thus solves two problems simultaneously. First, you receive a perfect design, and second, noise cancellation allows you to communicate peacefully inside and outside your home.
Perfect For Humid Climates
Gypsum ceiling designs provide thermal insulation, making them ideal for hot and humid climates. With a gypsum ceiling, you may sit quietly and spend time with family members even when the temperature rises to 40 degrees Celsius or higher. Gypsum work in halls and living areas significantly reduces outside heat because it acts as a thermal insulator. The same is true in the winter: the hot air from the heater becomes contained within the room, allowing you to enjoy the warmth of your own home thanks to the excellent insulation given by Gypsum false ceilings.
Superior Finish at a Reasonable Price
Gypsum false ceiling also gives you access to a large selection of designs and finishes at reasonable costs. There are several solutions available to you without going over budget. Did you know that a gypsum ceiling is one of the best choices of top interior designers.
