i was telling my partner that if riot wants to appeal sexually to straight women they have to pick either aphelios or sett but not both

we also agreed that they should’ve just gone all the way and let ahri be fully naked

she wears less clothes in her elderwood bikini

and i think that that lack of more blatant sexuality in her base skin’s splash exacerbates the issue in sona’s where she for whatever reason needs to be both cute and sexy

regardless, from what i’ve seen ahri’s ability animations are distinctly new

prestige once again doesn’t look like a prestige

idk i just think it’s very boring and when i look at aphelios, my eyes just go to alune instead

God finally someone who reasonably dislikes the spirit blossom spring skinline. Not only that it’s also just another scammy attempt of just giving Ahri more expensive skins. Seriously? Legendary and mythic? She doesnt need anymore. You know who does? Aphelios, and they put him in the Prestige category which is no longer special. And it’s MYTHIC ESSENCE which who has that on hand without spending money?

i think more people should dislike them tbh, they don't even feel cool and special anymore, specially i think prestige versions suck, they started just adding more sparkles as if that would make any skin better, and thats how it feels for most skins lately just skimpy clothing, something pink and something shiny

but overall skins now don't feel like they had any thought behind them, other than how can we make this charcter hoter or cuter, april fools skins are the only ones they've felt thought out specifically for the character, with even the splasharts feeling higher quality where there aren't 1000 light sources from glowing shit all around and an actual story theyre telling instead of just, look this cool pretty skin!! and then they only make these for characters that can't be made to be hot, like cho'gath, twitch, renekton, kog'maw and so on, which in my opinion are some of the best skins as of lately

because when they do make them for a human looking character they just put them in a onesie and call it a day, keeping them looking hot and cute, which there is no problem keeping them looking hot like pizza delivery sivir as long as there is something interesting peing proposed and not just a copy paste pretty outfit and splashart

His enemy laner is spam pinging SS and tilting their team or trying to match his roams and getting killed in river. The entire enemy jungle is visible and he's still buying more control wards. Most honored, immediatly left lobby to queue another. No skins, he's a purist and loves to complain about the outdated models.

Ghost is the Nocturne otp you want on your team and dodge when he's an enemy. He's making the enemy jungler miserable before sharing the misery across the map. Don't ban Noc you do not want him going Kayn. He's popping out of walls and speedrunning enemy surrender to get into an actually good game (where he gets his eldritch horror). Haunting Nocturne ftw.

Nikolai will put on some PENTAKILL and play a little Yorick as a guilty pleasure.

Krüger has a Singed patch on his plate carrier and calls "If you run you wont see me stab you" over the comms so much he's gotten a mug with it. Only plays the most annoying champs, if it cant one shot or annoy you he doesnt want it and likely hasnt unlocked it. Got matched against Nikolai once and never regretted picking teemo more. Threw the game and hasnt mentioned it since.

König plays because his nephew does and kept complaining about teammates. Constant meta changes mean he's never too far out of the loop when he's gone a while because everyone is out of the loop anyways. King Viego connoisseur. Horangi bought the 500€ Ahri skin, midlane or he's dodging. It's ranked or URF or nothing and he wont end on a loss. A loss? lp loss. Concept:

If you're counting Prestige K/DA, Ahri actually has four skins in this skinline with Popstar Ahri being the first and essentially the start of K/DA. Establishing Ahri as a K-pop princess, Popstar Ahri later (I believe it was with its Wild Rift release) added more depth to her character by giving her motivations and later (I'm not exactly sure when her bio changed again but I'm assuming it was with her ASU), doubts.

Design:

I really don’t have much to say about Ahri’s design. I find Evelynn’s and Kai’Sa’s outfits to be more interesting but the All Out skins are overall very coherent.

Splash Art:

Her splash art does a good job of highlighting certain aspects of her design like her dyed hair or gorgeous tails. I find it most excels at communicating her character as a pop princess turned queen using its perspective of being from below and looking up at her as well as her posing with her hand on her waist.

Model:

I think the model does a really great job of staying true to the concept and splash art. I especially love her hair and the textures are beautiful.

Chromas:

I love any skin whose chromas feature slight outfit changes and I appreciate how this extends to her dyed hair in this skin. Chromas for Ahri skins in particular are especially beautiful because of her tails.

Animations:

The recall animation is a highlight of this skin, even more so before her ASU. It must be mentioned that Ahri overall hugely benefitted from her ASU, making her animations—including in this skin—smoother, cleaner, and just better. Fittingly, Langfjord and Cheng also worked on Ahri’s ASU animations and rigging.

VFX:

One of my favorite parts of this skin is its visual effects. Speaking as someone who has no idea what kind of work goes into making skin effects, I find that Ahri has several opportunities to incorporate new visual effects, especially with her Orb of Deception (Q). I enjoy the crystal effects and I find that both the VFX and SFX work well together and elevates the other.

SFX:

My other favorite part of the skin is its sound effects. It's probably my most favorite out of all her skins (aside from, of course, Spirit Blossom). The K/DA skins in general all have very satisfying SFX with Evelynn’s Allure (W), Akali’s Shroud (W), and Kai’Sa’s Icathian Rain (Q) being some of my personal favorites.

Voice Over:

No new voice overs or voice filters.

Value:

I got this skin from a Hextech Chest, but if I’d had 1350 RP, I’d probably buy Elderwood Ahri or perhaps Coven Ahri (both from a skinline where Ahri, again, has multiple skins—Eclipse!). But I still love this skin's sound effects the most.

(( I'm sorry, I love Yone, but the amount of skins he is getting is really REALLY rubbing me the wrong way. This is insane. it's actually unfair. Not even Ahri got this many skins so close together. Not just that, but it's a legendary. His SECOND legendary.... WITH a prestige version. After he got already 2 skins in one year AND a prestige skin.

I love Yone, and I love High Noon thematic for him, it fits him really well and the skin looks GREAT. Honestly. I love the way it looks SO much. These animations should have been in his base design. They are perfect and great and I love that we see his demon buddy and just ARGH!!!!! SO GOOOODDDD!!!

But can we MAYBE tone it down a little?
