It is said that the Boogeyman often appears in the dark, hiding in closets and under beds. But not this one. Tommy was so sure that man was within his walls. But lately, he isn’t even sure that was true. Especially tonight, after the loud siren blaring.

What if the rule of taking off and disposing of armour and items in exile stemmed from c!Dream’s observations of the earliest days of L’Manberg? Considering c!Dream’s obsession with c!Tommy was already present in season 0, it’d make sense for him to keep stalking the teen in L’Manberg arc and later on.
In the earliest days of L’Manberg, the ‘No Armour’ rule was founded on mutual trust and safety; there was no need for anyone to defend themselves, as no citizen of L’Manberg presented a threat. It was applied in exile as well, but to reach a completely different goal. Since c!Dream was infatuated with the idea of bending c!Tommy to his will and weakening both his spirit and body, he made a decision to forbid the teen from keeping his armour and weapons, in particular. It had a sole goal of ensuring that he couldn’t overpower him and run away. It’s yet another time where c!Dream twisted something dear to c!Tommy’s heart into something terrifying and painful. And more importantly, now the boy won't be able to associate it with his home anymore…
Considering the strong similarity of both rules, there's a high chance that c!Dream was inspired by it in L'Manberg arc, just as he was by other things related to it. For example, c!Wilbur’s habit of braiding c!Tommy’s hair in L’Manberg and Pogtopia, or his ways of showing affection.
If c!Tommy believed L’Manberg to be his home, c!Dream must've reasoned that if he brought some things reminding of it to Logstedshire, the boy would eventually accept it as his new (true) home…

Oh btw in case anyone is wondering why I'm on the c!Prime Brothers Truthing train here's why bc I just realized I haven't actually talked abt it lmao
1. It's fun lol :)
2. Their interactions especially early on in the server have always had the vibe of two siblings trying to annoy each other to me lol. Their interactions later on have this vibe too but it's Off- One of them views literal psychological and physical torture as Basically That and the other often uses being Annoying as Shit On Purpose as a way to deflect from trauma and also as a way of maintaining some semblance of control in high stress situations :) The prison streams are a really good example of this lol
3. Exile in particular has the vibe of c!Dream trying to fill the big brother role for c!Tommy now that c!Wilbur isn't around anymore :)
4. c!Dream's whole "Big Happy Family" thing that he brings up a lot, which you could say implies that he longs for that sort of connection
So yeah it's a fun hc based mostly on vibes but it adds a very interesting layer to everything lol :) Also found family but it's Fucked Up >>>>>>

MY C!PRIMETOBER 2023 WRITING
I’ve chosen a few prompts from @stellocchia & @arsonistfriday’s brilliant c!Primetober 2023 challenge to work on this October. @cprimetober is the challenge's blog. Here’s a list which will be updated every time I post a new work for the challenge!
All my fics are on AO3 under the username mcg_127. Enjoy the angst & whump >:3 We’re getting fed well this month; many talented people in the fandom are showing their creative work for the challenge!
DISCLAIMER: My view of c!Prime's dynamic is wholly platonic, and any portrayal of it otherwise makes me severely uncomfortable. Please keep in mind, I do enjoy their /p affection (physical etc.) and can't imagine them interacting without it.
Day 2: ‘Smiley Face’ | Scars, physical abuse, body dysmorphia.
Day 9: 'Slumber Party' | Watching someone sleep, possessiveness, murder fantasy.

Thinking about C!Tommy again so might as well talk about him.
c!Tommy 100% has a box in his closet with all sorts of stuff he has “borrowed” from others, with and without permission. He also has separate boxes for each specific person with their name on it. He likes to decorate the boxes with drawings and stickers and whatever he can find with things that remind him of said person. c!Tommy loves to gather whatever he can find that reminds him of his friends. Once he finds something that he deems good enough, he’ll put it in the box and maybe even give it to the person for their birthday or some other special day.
Of course, I can't let c!Tommy stay happy for too long can I? c!Dream would often sneak into his house as he often does to watch him or leave Tommy with notes or “gifts” that Tommy definitely didn't appreciate and definitely freaked him out a whole bunch. He never had a box for Dream, he had definitely thought about it back when he was younger but not nowadays. That fact hurt Dream’s feelings when he went through Tommy’s closet looking for his box, of course, he couldn't find it. So he made himself one and filled it with photos and drawings of him and Tommy alongside with other things that would freak Tommy out in the morning.
Tommy wakes up and notices his closet door is open when he definitely knows that he shut it last night, so he carefully goes over and opens it to see what had happened and all of his other boxes are gone, they only one left is the one that reads “Dream :)” written in lime green marker, Tommy didn't even think he had any around his house and he knew for sure that he didn't make that box. He wanted to go over to Tubbo’s house and stay there for a while, just to feel safe again but he wouldn't want Dream latching onto Tubbo now would he? So he stayed in his home, exactly where Dream wanted him. Anyway, c!Tommy thought of the day, maybe more coming soon, who knows.

Immortal c!Primeboys drabble (not edited at all)
The graveyard is full.
Phil was the last one to go, in the end. He'd lived until there was no one else, then lived some more, until he'd decided it was time to go.
Tommy had wanted to beg him not to. But that was not his right. It was a painful existence, being alone. He knew that.
Rows upon rows of familiar names etched into stone. The only ones missing were those who left. Those like Wilbur. It was always worse when they left. There was no grave to talk to, no possibility that he could see them again.
There was wear and tear on some of the memorials, where Tommy had leaned on them. He'd only noticed by the time Tubbo's name started getting hard to read. Of course it would be too much to ask that Tommy did even the bare minimum of keeping his friend's grave in good condition. One more thing he failed him on. Tommy made a mental note to add that to the list.
Dream didn't come around here very often. Didn't really see a reason to, Tommy guessed. It wasn't like Dream missed any of these people. And now that everyone was gone, there was no reason to keep an eye on Tommy. This empty, ruined world was their playground now. An awful husk of what once was home, only good for world-scale games of hide and seek now.
Tommy didn't talk much anymore. Dream didn't really either. Punz only showed up to revive Dream nowadays, busy looting far away places, or whatever Punz did with his spare time. Tommy didn't care. He'd run out of new things to say a long time ago anyway. They all had. Apart from Dream's mutterings as he worked, which had long stopped making sense, there was silence.
Nothing and no one. No sound. No people. Even the discs had been worn down by the needle of the jukebox until they scratched and dented, no longer even resembling their original tune. Tommy didn't even remember what they used to sound like.
He remembered Tubbo's voice though. Wilbur's sigh. Ranboo's nervous stammering when he didn't know what to say. Niki laughing until she was gasping for breath. Sam's quiet reassurances. Techno's humour.
Long gone. But they were all Tommy had left to remind him what being a person was like.

c!Dream n c!Wilbur fighting over who's c!Tommy's brother? Brothers (affectionate) vs brothers (derogatory) >:) aka for the prompts -Inniter
[Give me Primeboys Prompts]
Inniter my beloved /p
I love that prompt!
Okay, this got seriously long, wow. I put everything under the cut:
Tommy had been running. Dream was out of prison. He was out of prison and he was behind him, but Tommy couldn't think about that, he just had to run.
Suddenly, a beacon of hope appeared. Just a few meters away stood Techno's cabin and there, just outside, was Wilbur.
Tommy pulled together the last remanents of energy he had after running the whole night and sprinted over to his brother, yelling out his name. "Wilbur, Wilbur, Wilbur! Help!". His throat was sore from all the begging he did, pleading for mercy with a monster who didn't even know what that was, but he didn't care. He needed Wilbur to see him and save him and tuck him behind his back protectively like he did when they were kids.
Wilbur startled, but when he saw the battered and bruised figure of his brother coming out from the forest yelling for him, he pulled out his bow and quiver from his inventory and immediately aimed an arrow behind Tommy, at whatever was chasing him.
There was a beat of silence where nothing happened. Tommy was shaking, standing slightly behind Wilbur as he hugged himself.
"What? Tommy, what was chasing you?" Wilbur asked as nothing seemed to happen. Tommy made a frustrated sound. "Dream! He was there! He's- he's trying to make me look crazy, but I'm not. I'm fucking not. Please Wilbur, please, you have to believe me! You have to-" "I believe you" Wilbur said instantly. There was a glint in Tommy's eyes that Wilbur hoped to never see there, a desperation to be heard, to not be dismissed as insane. Recognition of the self in the other as a pompous asshole would say.
Turning again toward the forest Wilbur yelled "Dream! I know you're there! Come out already you coward".
A sinister chuckle filled the air as Dream stepped out of the shadow. "Come now Wilbur, is that really any way to greet your savior?".
Wilbur glanced behind him. There was a deep gash on Tommy's arms, multiple little cuts from running through the foliage, and a bruise around his neck. Wilbur gritted his teeth "You're no savior, you're just a bastard". Dream chuckled again and waved him off "Same difference".
"Just leave me alone" Tommy begged. Wilbur had never heard him so close to tears. He didn't know if it was the exhaustion or the desperation that got to him, but that was a tone he never wanted to hear again from his little brother.
"What, with that pathetic excuse of a human being you insist on calling your brother?" Dream sneered. He took a threatening step forward, and Wilbur immediately shot. It was just an arrow to the shoulder, just a warning, but Dream raised his hands and stepped back regardless.
"I may be pathetic, but at least I'm not a child abuser" Wilbur retorted. Tommy took in a sharp breath at that that Wilbur refused to interpret in any way.
"Oh come on! I never abused Tommy. I was just teaching him to behave since you never did. And it was fun! Wasn't it Tommy? We had fun together!" Dream insisted. His tone had taken a weird inflection as he addressed Tommy, one that Wilbur had never heard before. It was soft and fond, but somehow wrong at the same time. It was finding the scent of flowers in the Nether.
"Fuck off! You weren't teaching me shit, you were just hurting me!" Tommy protested indignantly. Dream's head cocked to the side "And he didn't?" he asked pointing at Wilbur. Tommy stayed silent. It hurt like an arrow to the back, but it wasn't a lie. "That's what I thought. At least with me you know you'll always be my first choice, with him though you'll always be the last priority. After L'Manburg, after his own self-destructive plans, after Ranboo, after his petty rivalries" Dream continued, counting out each one of Wilbur's failures on his fingers.
"Oh please! I'm not perfect, but I'm not the one who killed Tommy three times. With you, he always comes after your own ambitions". He saw Tommy flinch at the reminder of his deaths and he mentally noted that he'd need to apologize later. For the time being though, what was important was to keep Dream from spouting his rhetoric unchallenged.
"He wouldn't have lost his first two lives if you hadn't made him into a child soldier, Wilbur". "I'm not the one who decided to declare war on a pacifist nation just because I couldn't give up even one sliver of control!" they kept going like that back and forth for a while. It was strongly reminiscent of just a few months prior when he was shouting at Quackity from the middle of a lake, thinking about nothing but himself.
That wasn't the case this time though. Wilbur was aware that he wouldn't be able to take Dream on in a fight. He had a chance if he managed to keep the man at a distance, but, even then, Dream was also a good shot, and he could have aimed at Tommy. And it was just a matter of time before the man realized it. Which meant that there was only one other option: stalling. And it worked.
Awoken by the noise, Phil and Techno both emerged from the cabin fully decked out in netherite armor. Dream stepped back on instinct. Dream took one last glance at the situation before the black dots of his mask fixed on Tommy "See you later⁓" he singsonged, then he threw an ender pearl and he was out of there.
For once words truly did prevail over violence. Wilbur was immensely glad for it, he was certain that Tommy has had enough of violence for the day already. "Come on Toms, let's go patch you up"

to elaborate more on why i think exile is a case of non-sexual grooming, it’s bc it hits all the fucking beats. c!tommy was carefully selected as a victim. c!dream targeted him after a long period of observation and planning to get away with manipulating him. c!dream integrated himself into c!tommy's life before the manipulation began, and he made himself a trustworthy figure to the adults around him. he used that to isolate c!tommy in various ways, and positioned himself as the only person c!tommy could rely on, conditioning him into a dependence, as he desensitised c!tommy to the purpose he had in mind for him- namely, being an obedient ally- gradually through escalating emotional abuse he positioned as normal. he broke c!tommy's self esteem down and then used kindness to make him feel special and appreciated to get him to aid in his Very Illegal Plans. and like, grooming a kid to do a terrorism is absolutely grooming like it’s legally something you can be charged with. c!dream didn’t want c!tommy as an ally to tend to his fucking garden or whatever he was going to manipulate and abuse him into committing crimes.
like, genuinely, the tactics c!dream used to manipulate c!tommy are textbook grooming tactics, and grooming isn’t suddenly okay if you’re doing it for a non-sexual purpose. and i don’t think shying away from the word does any good, because it's important to shine lights on less common and well known forms of abuse! while it’s becoming more well known non-sexual grooming (especially for free labour and criminal acts- both of which were what happened to c!tommy) is a thing that exists, as well as grooming of older teenagers and vulnerable adults, it’s still not talked about very much, and i think that using plain and frank terms around it even in fictional contexts does far more good than tiptoeing around the issue and refusing to acknowledge that most abuse tactics are much more flexible and broadly defined than we'd like to think (because it means we can ignore our own trauma, or trauma we inflicted on others).

In exile, c!Tommy has developed a habit of mimicking c!Dream’s “Mhm”, often right after him. At first, it made the teen uneasy because it reminded him how c!Dream would often hum as a confirmation that he had fucked up particularly badly. Still, c!Tommy found some sense of comfort in it, as it reminded him of their softer moments.
One evening, as they sat on a bench after punishment and had a relaxed conversation, after c!Tommy has calmed down, due to major exhaustion, c!Tommy wasn’t careful enough and accidentally mimicked c!Dream’s hum right after him. c!Dream noticed it immediately, and found it very amusing, and being the asshole he is, decided to use it to his advantage just for the fun of it. So, he hummed again, as if asking c!Tommy if he really did that, and as the realisation hit him, he froze in terror, flinched and started mumbling shaky apologies. c!Dream pretended to be genuinely disappointed by c!Tommy’s mistake, just to make the teen’s panic reach its limit. c!Dream’s response sounded so cryptic because it was a mix of faux concern, surprise and mockery that c!Dream wasn’t even trying to hide, so c!Tommy couldn’t tell which one it was and freaked out more…
As soon as he had pushed him far enough, he changed his attitude to unnaturally soft, and there was not a single hint of his frustration any more, he was trying to convince c!Tommy that he just overreacted and misunderstood his intentions, and he succeeded at that indeed.
The fact that c!Tommy developed a habit directly related to c!Dream, fed c!Dream’s ego very well, because it confirmed that he had the teen wrapped around his finger to the point where he could not only influence his behaviour and beliefs through punishment but even alter some parts of his personality. Despite his unstoppable defiance, c!Tommy unconsciously developed habits that made them even more alike, and why, if not because c!Dream had full control over him and deep inside, c!Tommy knew that?

on most days in exile, dream was kind.
that’s the one thing tommy keeps closest to his chest about it, and he doesn’t exactly speak openly about the other parts either. but it's the happy-times, not the confusing blurry times that refuse to leave his head, he’d rather die than bring up.
the bad days are a blur- axe hits and words cutting deeper than those. tears and explosions and burying parts of himself, sometimes literally. but the in-betweens, the moments where tommy can try and blank out of context and almost smile, those stay crystal-clear, like they were etched into his brain with a knife (like the scars on his cheeks).
some part of him misses it. most of him recoils from it so hard sometimes a kind word sends the idea of him into his head and tommy’s eyes glaze over and he goes on autopilot. it’s funny, he thinks. above all else, dream ruined gentleness for him. he’d never tell him that- prime, he’d be a smug asshole about it. but he had. friendship seemed like a threat, gifts a trap, touch a warming for pain.
on most days, he and dream sat around the campfire, laughing at stupid jokes as dream would help bandage his wounds. on most days, the tnt didn’t burn. on most days, tommy would splash dream with the saltwater and pretend he didn’t mean to even if they both knew and dream would pretend he didn’t either. on most days, they would pick flowers and dream would teach tommy their meanings and tommy would teach dream of their medicinal properties. on most days, he had to pinch himself to stop himself calling dream wilbur, calling him tubbo, because dream had taught him well that was unacceptable.
tommy was a quick learner. he hated how he still felt a jolt of pride at that thought.
dream was kind, until he wasn’t. even now, he lacked malice in his eyes, had a playful lilt to his voice like this was all some stupid game. like they were still friends and this was some plot they were both in on. dream was soft velvet and harsh iron and the former had tommy wake up in a cold swear far more than the latter.
dream was kind. tommy wished he never was.

fucks me up that the one thing that got c!tommy to leave exile was that he felt abandoned by c!dream. like. c!tommy was at the point he'd accept any treatment as long as he wasn’t alone he was that broken down. and he KNEW it was torture he just didn’t even care. c!dream could do anything to him but leave. and if he hadn’t threatened to do that c!tommy would have never left, even after logstedshire being blown up and c!dream's abuse escalating further. he'd take any level of physical and mental agony just to not be alone. like. god.

the cool thing about c!primeboys is that on the surface c!tommy is a hyper dumbass kid and c!dream is mature logical and emotionless but if u look into them c!tommy is by far the more mature one. he’s carefree, but he’s actually really smart and even if he’s silly and impulsive he’s self aware and caring and has a well defined goal (to have a peaceful life and be out of the spotlight) meanwhile c!dream is deeply emotional and terrible at hiding it, makes incredibly risky plans because he’s actually terrible at realising the consequences of his actions, has a very simplistic (albeit very weird) view of morality (where the actions have no impact and only the intent matters), is extremely clingy to anyone he has the slightest attachment to that eclipses even clingyduo, a childish enjoyment in pushing peoples buttons, and a very lofty and vauge end goal (a big happy family) with actions that don’t at all connect to his motivations outside of his own weird logic. like, i say c!dream wants c!tommy as his friend because they’re the most immature people on the server sometimes, but that’s mean to c!tommy. c!tommy is immature and self aware of it, whereas c!dream isn’t even aware he’s acting like a fucking child. they’re great I love them.
