Small Luigi vs. Peach discourse inspired me to render this.

Basically: Luigi and Peach have an argument on who has it the worst (Luigi for not being recognized as a hero in his own right, as well as being the butt of the jokes, or Peach for being in constant danger), so they made a bet to wear each other's shoes (quite literally), and see who cracks the first.

Meanwhile, Mario doesn't like the bet because he doesn't want to see two of his best friends fighting...as well as the implications that his crush is now his brother and his brother is now his crush is kind of fucked up. XD (And Daisy is being silly here)

Bowuigi Soulmate AU - Princess Luigi Fan Art - Movie Canon Divergence/AU

Luigi who's never really searched for his soulmate, for a lot reasons, not the least of which being his off-putting soulmark. Bowser's who's given up on ever meeting his soulmate, but can't ever truly forget about it, even when chasing after Peach; the idea of true love is all he really wants.

An alternate universe where Mario doesn't catch up to Luigi, and has no idea where his brother may have landed, or even if they are in the same world.

Both Luigi and Bowser learn and grow together. Bower wants to marry and tart a family. Luigi wants that too, but cannot settle with no news of his brother, who he has absolute faith is searching for him.

Mario is searching, with the support and understanding of his soulmate, Peach. He is making little headway, however. Probably because Bowser is running interference.

But alas, the Mario brothers are meant to reunite, and when Luigi figures out what Bowser was hiding from him, it puts a strain on their relationship. Luigi wants to take a break and bond with his brother, maybe even see the world beyond the Koopa Kingdom.

Bowser, however, is not interested in being separated from his soulmate, even temporarily, and decides that they will be getting marries sooner rather than later, if Luigi wants his brother happy with his soulmate instead of living in their dungeon.

This is sorta a princess Luisa (Luigi genderbent) au I’ve had in mind

the Mario siblings have lived in the mushroom kingdom their whole lives but when peach starts getting kidnapped, Mario gets super worried and dresses his sister (who is not technically a princess but just kinda dresses as one because her and peach are friends and big pretty dresses and Yada yada) as a man, putting her in similar overalls as his own to pass her off as his brother in hopes that she won’t get kidnapped or harmed the same way peach does

In the end bowser still falls in love with Luisa just from afar, trying to stay focused on peach since he’s already spent so long on her as is

But one day king boo (or maybe someone else, I haven’t decided yet) kidnaps Luigi under the guise of torturing the Mario “brother” for information on Mario, this leads to the reveal of Luigi as princess Luisa and because of this ties her up and dresses her up without even treating her wounds.

I guess bowser hears word of this and goes to save her (still thinking that Luigi is Luigi and not Luisa) but she had already escaped and was running down the hallway when they run into eachother and that’s where I got the idea for this very short comic

(I’ve never drawn a comic before in my life and have no idea how but here ya go)
