Lately i have been feeling like half a human? hollow? soulless? Like i changed and lost some fendamental parts of how i used to be? I feel lacking in a sense, i feel so lacking to the point that it started to feel like not just an identity issue but an issue that is making me feel like i lack things to be a full human being like i used to be and feel, let alone be myself.

thinking about how they said grover was affected the most out of everyone bc he was alone and how nico and bianca stayed for 70 years inside that hotel and didn't forget each other bc they were always within reach and how that little detail makes their story even more devastating bc they got through it together and the moment they got out they get separated and then bianca never comes back

A lot of the time when people say a character is a golden retriever I’m like “that breed does not mean what you think it means” but you know what? Charles is a golden retriever

He’s affectionate and friendly and energetic and smiles all of the time always, you kick him and he’ll still smile and run right back to you after

But also Goldens are typically ranked as the fourth most intelligent dog breed, after only Border Collies, Poodles, and German Shepherds, but everyone always reaches for them as a metaphor for “no thoughts head empty just fluff and love”

And that’s Charles too. He announces Edwin as the brains and keeps his smile on and bounces around and is so casually sweet everyone figures he must be running on vibes alone and actually when they’re back in the office he’s the one doing the more visibly nerdy magic, the stuff you’d normally assign to your autistic-coded Q-archetype basement-recluse wizard, he’s creating complex enchanted items and writing runes and mentally managing hundreds to thousands of items in his bag. And he’s just as much a detective as Edwin is.

He just also grins and jumps and projects friendliness like his life depends on it, and people assume.

there's something about garrus and shepard admitting to each other that the worst thing about the end of the world would've been facing it apart. they've been to hell and back, they know there's nothing they can't do together. in the first conversation back on the normandy, garrus says "if this ends with us dying in a giant explosion taking out a reaper, remember that i took the killshot." even if they die, it's obviously going to be together. where else would either of them be?

he tells her he always knew he'd see the normandy again. his faith never wavers. if anyone can do this it's her. and he's got her back. no matter what. no shepard without vakarian, all the way back to earth, all the way through london. and then at the last possible moment, they get separated and have to face the end of the war alone. stranded lightyears apart, no way to know if the other survived.

but they both do and after a lot of recovery and probably some therapy they retire somewhere warm and tropical where they can enjoy their lives together in peace :)

autismffini who's got that echolalia, but because they're an affini even their verbal stims have devastating hypnotic potential. she's hanging out with all the doll florts and they're just stood there going "wawa!" "awawawa!" "ababababa!" at each other. she decides to join in, but when she does it, because of the way affini talk it's suddenly like everyone is in this echo chamber with ten different voices saying "wawa" at slightly or entirely different pitches, tones, and maybe even lengths

the repetitive and slightly rhythmic nature of the wawa'ing in particular has a way of getting stuck inside of one's head, regardless of how goofy it is, and the affini in question is somewhat perplexed when all the dolls start going glassy-eyed and their own wawas gradually slow down and become more and more slurred as she keeps going
