ItaIzu fanart on another SNS and then randomly found you on Tumblr much later through your other art (and also realized you were actually the ItaIzu artist)! I feel shy and awkward saying this but since I’m already here LOL… I just want to say that I particular love your ItaIzu classmates AU so much and I still think about it a lot!! 😭 It was actually part of what inspired me to start writing A3! fanfic because it got my creative juices flowing!! Favorite character: barbara my beloved

Least Favorite character: i feel like it's almost lazy to say steve but... steve.... weirdly he kinda grew on me but he was still used in extremely annoying ways 9/10 times, so if i cared i would make my own lil pocket version of him that is bearable but alas i do not so he is simply... steve..... i'm also not a huge merlin fan.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): stricklake and stricklakerot are rly all i've explored but that reminds me i also wanna look more into barbmura, morgana/gwen, morgana/barbara, and usurna/nomura. honorable 3below mention to zadra/izita and wizards mention to arcane order hell since we're over 5 anyway.

Character I find most attractive: it is SO cowardly of me to say barbara considering the show is also like, monsterfucker central, but... she pretty... and unfortunately a lot of female troll designs kinda suck, and while i love morgana i have issues with her design as well. i do think strickler and angor rot are attractive in theory but i have a very weird sexuality of like, yes i'd love to get railed by them even if it'd kill me, but i don't think i'm "attracted" to them because i'm in a weird zone of being a lesbian but also a monsterfucker and i genuinely do not know how to explain it more than that. so yeah we'll go with barbara bc there is...... idk, something special abt bein into someone kinda plain amidst a world of magical creatures, too? maybe? who knows, thanks for coming 2 my ted talk in this wendy's drive thru

Character I would marry: barbara is going to be my answer for SO much so i'll say nomura for this one because i love the surprise of never knowing if i'm going to get poisoned. usurna is also in that realm.

An unpopular opinion: yeah we're not going there <3 the worst i can probably answer with is that while i hate rott, i also do love the delicious angst of watching barb's reaction to strickler dying (esp doing so right after they got engaged) so i am kinda glad it gave me a glimpse into that just...... i do not want to take that or anything else from that film as canon tho lol. i just like having that in my back pocket for when i want a mental breakdown.

Pairing I am not a fan of: so i don't hate jim and claire but i also don't know why i semi-like them??? i really appreciate a lot of the ways they're portrayed in fanart! esp when toby gets added in. and again i actually don't hate them! i just don't... know why they're together when i actually think about it, and they're also too young for me to rly care to think about that much anyway.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): hmm i mean... rott aside i don't know. i guess "draal should have lived" counts here. also my previously mentioned issues with some troll designs, i just think nomura's in particular could've been way better. oh and i had some issues with morgana's whole narrative but i can't remember them. ultimately i think the writers just didn't go into the actually interesting characters' backstories anywhere near enough.

Character I most identify with: barbara, which is probably mostly projection but like... i vibe with trying to balance work and school and childcare responsibilities even if i will never have it as hard as she had jl;sdjfsldkfj. i also love angor rot because yeah i also relate to continually being at the mercy of people who don't have my best interest at heart and wanting nothing more than to have independence from them but having no means of doing so. there's also def something there with changelings x autistic feels with always having a Mask on and being in survival mode.

4/10, I do like how the title for this one is literally just AHHHH! as thats probably the noise most ppl make stepping into one of these things, but beyond that it's just so damn boring like. Okay it's Junkrat's steel trap with a gray and green explosive splash behind it. Ok and? NEEEEXT 🙄

11/10, gotta be honest I fucking love this one??? Like it's kinda terrifying but so is Junkrat so it works 😳💖💖 I srsly LOVE the eye sparks and how the teeth also spell "BANG BANG", it's so creative and cool and I LOVE ITTTT

7/10 God this one is SO CLOSE to being perfect but I feel like the artist rly dropped the ball on his face?? Like his nose does NOT look like that in profile!!! Other than that I rly like the dynamics of the way he looks like he launched himself (hence the flames on his ass) and I also always love when they draw in the lil line details of his muscles hehehehehe 👀💖💖💖

i wanna know how you! draw the onceler because your drawings of him are so pretty and i wanna know the process of it :DDDD

very long and embarrassing answer in which i expose myself as a crazy person so i’m putting it under a readmore

skdgjkfg THIS ASK ISNT ANY MORE SPECIFIC !!! 😂

orzzzz my process is extremely long and complicated and like,,..idk how to explain that what i basically do is:

1) draw the onceler (eyes>eyebrows>nose>mouth/face shape/ears>hair>hat>neck>rest of body) 2) decide it’s not good enough and completely redraw him

i probably spend 5% of my drawing time doing actual drawing and the rest of the 95% is spent troubleshooting and fixing mistakes until im satisfied. art is suffering.

and i wasnt kidding with my last answer. Ed Helms called him “extremely sexy”, so it’s canon in my mind that he’s intended to be attractive, so my #1 priority is to try to make him HOT. while still keeping somewhat faithful to his original design. so that involves a lot of studying of movie screenshots and also looking at a large variety of other ppls’ onceler fanart and figuring out what exactly i like abt the way they drew the onceler and why.

so from movie screenshots i’ve noticed things like the subtle upward angle of his eyes, his high cheekbones despite his round face, how far his mouth is relative to his nose and chin, the way his hair parts and curves and separates into which strands and where, the shape of his eyebrows, all of this and more (so far i’ve only just been talking about his head here) you can gather from just looking at screenshots. you know the trope where a person is lying in bed with their significant other and staring at them cuz they wanna memorize every inch and curve of their face and body? that’s me with the onceler. so again i wasn’t kidding with my last answer. i drew us like rly close buds in that interaction, because we metaphorically are.

anyway, so then i keep all of those details in mind while translating into my art style, and we all know every artist’s style is really just an amalgamation of other ppls styles that they found inspiring. so what does my style end up doing? It makes his hair a lil more tousled. it makes his nose a lil more pointy and further from his eyes, which i also make larger and more defined (i had a much more anime style before i joined onceler fandom). his jawline is a lil more defined as well. and i ALWAYS have to correct myself when drawing his eyes - i always draw them too far apart and have to move them closer to each other for that seussian look. i curve his mouth upwards for that seussy look too. sometimes i take the middle strand of his bangs and have it fall downward instead of curving up like in the movie, if i think he doesn’t look hot enough in my drawing. or i take the hair in front of his ears and bring it more forward or have it curve in front of his cheek. and usually it works. so all of these stylistic decisions are things i’ve seen from others’ fanart and got inspired by.

AND THEN i look at the drawing, and if i feel like it's not good enough, i’ll redo entire parts of it. or i’ll look at movie screenshots again to see if i’m straying way too far. So this is how my first draft of the press conference drawing here:

6. When you first think of the fandom, what image comes to mind?

For kh, probably all my friends and mutuals who i associate with kh? Both from here and on insta ofc. Staying in ur own lil fandom bubble is the best way to go for this exact reason!! Although admittedly theres a lot of unpleasant stuff that comes to mind after that but yknow shit happens when the fandom's big ig. But hey, its worth it in my book

And for pokespe, thats. more or less why im avoiding the fandom itself so tbh i dont have much of an answer for that one? Other than some of the cool fanart ive come across but thats not rly my first thought fandomwise. Unless the old fanfic i used to read on deviantart when i was like 12 or smth counts but im trying to erase that from my brain. Maybe i should interact more actually,

7. When did you join the fandom?

Ok, TECHNICALLY ive only been active in the online kh fandom since around kh3's release i think? BUT. Ive been into kh since before i can even remember, its been one of my core interests since the beginning istg. I was born exactly 2 days before kh1 first released so id like to think it was meant to be. And i made my own content back then, even - i distinctly remember drawing heartless reimagined as pokemon and just heartless-esque fakemon. Oh and nobodies too!! I even came up with names for them. Forever sad that i have no idea where those papers went tho.. i was so proud of it lol. I really came full circle with that one now that i think abt it

I got into pokespe.... mid 2020 apparently! Not surprising bc there really was nothing better to do and i regret absolutely nothing it was probably one of my only good decisions in the past 2 years. Although now that i think about it i first found out abt it - not knowing it was what people called pokespe - in elementary school during one of those book fairs, bc they had the first volume of the bw chapters. There is no way in hell that he fell in love with Shuichi and less with Kokichi. The closest character that you can say that are in love/ have interest with is Kaede, like it or not. Stop being so deceived about your impossible ships. Your word is not worth more than Kodaka's.

First off that part about Amami can only express brotherlylove for people in the artbook, I think it actually refers to his fondnessabout his sisters, because as we all know he’s really worried about them andhence his priority is to save his sisters. So I actually think it made senses when forced to do a killing game, his only worries was to get out there assoon as possible & saving his sisters, and romance is not his utmostpriority there.

As you can see the term here is actually imouto(littlesisters) love, so imo the artbook here actually is not making point about his brotherly love for any peoplebut his sisters only (Because when I looked for fraternal love google refers it as 兄弟愛/ kyoudai ai & not imouto rabu? so i think this term is exclusively for his lil sis, which invalid your excuses that this section talks about his type of love for other people). But no worries! Actually as seen in otoges there’s usually the big bro type, and I think he’ll suits that type hahaa.

But what if the killing game isn’t commenced? Then theprobabilities broaden! I think many ndrv3 fanarts are actually based on what if they survived / lived happily scenarios, and I’m sure fall for that trope too. Well I like to think because Amami’s a brother of 12sisters, he’ll be more attentive toward someone who’s younger–looking, in thiscase Ouma! Imo Ouma knows one of his strong point is he kinda looks like achild, so he can use his looks to his advantage wwww So this is just my own hc,but I think Ouma will keep pestering Amami (about his talent or anything rly),and because Amami doesn’t remember anything (or probably being cautious atfirst) he’ll dodged the questions. Ouma kinda doubts that, so he’ll keepsticking near Amami all the time. And although at first Amami was bothered, inthe end he can’t help but being weak when Ouma goes all cute & adorable, sohe’s fine with Ouma being around. And that will branches into them getting toknow about each other more, that even in the end they’ll grow closer & probably comfortable enoughto share about their pasts ;w;

Even if they’re in the killing game, I also like Oumamidynamic! Ouma likes interesting thing, moreover mysteries & ofc he’sinterested to solve the mysteries around Amami, being an amnesiac and all. Evenwhen Amami’s gone, Ouma was still determined to solve the mysteries behind him,judging by how he knew about Amami’s safe combination & such. If Amamilives longer, I think somehow he’ll be the only person that gets how Ouma’s wayof thinking is….  For example in thetrial when Ouma states his statements that riddled with lies, the only personthat can comprehend & decipher the truth from those statements is Amami. Amami being the cautious person he is probablywon’t say anything outright too, and Ouma knowing the clever boy Amami is certainlywill enjoy digging more informations out of him. Heck, they even shared thesame goal to find the mastermind by themselves, so probably if they somehowrealized the others are not a threat they even can cooperate together __(:’3__

ALSO FUN FACT ship doesn’t need to be about interactions all the time!!It can be about their complimenting/contrasting designs/personalities, or maybe you just think the pair look nice together? fifi here, responding to the previous answer you gave to me (which was a while back! would have replied sooner but got busy whoops sorry ><) yeah, the audio quality of that vid is indeed terrible so i kinda gave up on trying to comprehend what they said so i kinda just watch it for the Vibe now lol XD and yes there little off-stage asides that are part of why i prefer it (tho i totally get you still prefering the us version for many reasons!) esp i think they were able to do that bc of (1/3)

a larger cast + a longer time (2 full acts since they were literally on west end). i think the u.s. version can have some off-stage moments as well, esp during the start + intermission, but they're not as obvious/not as performed as in the u.k. version typically if they have smaller casts. i've seen vids of bigger casts with the ensemble members doing their own little thing and it's rly cute. but yeah, i get the whole prefering them with just their book names, it's definitely a matter (2/3)

I’m glad you came back, because after I posted my response to your last message, I realized that I had forgotten to mention that one of the many things about actually reading the book at last was noticing phrases that I recognized from the musical. Like, for example, I assumed “the flood-gates of a wonder-world” was just something the lyricists came up with, so I was delightfully surprised to encounter that very phrase in “Loomings” :D

If I try to watch the non-musical scenes in the video, I think I’ll probably just end up frustrated because I want to understand what they’re saying but I can’t. I especially wish I could understand what they’re saying because I’m really curious how the US and UK versions differ, especially since MD is such a quintessentially American book. Or at least, Americans view it as such. Idk how Brits view it. Anyway, I might watch some of the musical numbers! At the very least it might give me some ideas I can steal for my own personal ideal production of the musical that I imagine whenever I listen to the soundtrack. FinnPoe is such a good ship lol. Like they clicked instantly, even as people who were supposed to be on opposite sides of a galactic war. Finn saved Poe not only because he needed a pilot but also because it was the right thing to do. Poe gave Finn a name!! And Finn immediately internalized “Poe Dameron” and had been so excited to see him alive. The running hug into the jacket scene!!! Poe fixing Finn’s/his old jacket!! (which now according to kyle o’rians mess literally happened maybe a few hours after the events of the first film so Poe fucking god that shit Done). How much Poe and Finn had each other’s backs in tlj when they were together.

There’s just so much potential with this ship, both in canon and in AUs because they just instantly clicked so there’s no need to force any sort of rapport between them. In the words of Oscar himself, “I think it’s beautiful”

Ngl I went into TFA a lil biased bc I had seen some stuff on finnpoe before the film but from the moment Finn took off his trooper helmet and Oscar Isaac acted Poe as a man who had never seen something so beautiful ever in his life, I was hooked.

FinnPoe occupies an....interesting space to say the least in the nu!SW fandom. Most fandoms, incl sw, are racist fucks and love to sideline, demonize, or outright ignore ships with poc in them, especially if one of them is black. FinnPoe has a good amount of genuine popularity from fans who want to see sw bring out their first gay characters who are also moc AND leads in the film and just genuinely love them individually and love them together. 

Unfortunately there’s also the subset of the sw fans that fetishizes mlm and therefore jumped on anything ~gay~. But there’s also the even more unfortunate subset of ppl who ship finnpoe bc they ship reylo and they hate the idea of rey being with a black man and not their gross white stan so they’ll put it off to the side in their dumbass fics and claim they love it but w/e.

But as much as I am willing (and kinda eager) to accept FinnRey as endgame canon, I just love finnpoe so much bc not only do both of these characters mean so much to me with Finn being the first black lead in a SW film and Poe being (i’m not sure if he’s the first latinx lead but having another moc as part of the Trio is a Big Deal). And not only to have moc as stars but mlm moc as leads would mean so much to so many people and it’s just beautiful and such a feel good pairing like you have to actively work to make finnpoe feel bad bc there’s literally nothing that really stands against it in canon. i’m love these gays.

Honestly Take Me Out by Scandal is a rly good ship song for a lot of friends-to-lovers pairings I have, but looking at the lyrics again it works 2x as well for FinnPoe

They’re the couple where everything they do winds up being a date, even before they officially start dating. Hangouts at each other’s places/rooms, eating together, going sight seeing, you name it, they’ll probably do it together and make it romantic somehow.

realistically, no. I don’t have hope that finnpoe will become canon in ix. abrams, while seemingly open to the idea of having an lgbt char in sw never said he’d like them as a lead. plus he seems to be leaning towards finnrey (which i’m okay with), so that’ll probably be endgame.

I don’t think I have, even in my unpublished stuff. I think probably by the time I got to the point where I would have, the racist/other gross pts of fandom got their greasy paws on finnpoe and i got rly put out of fanfiction.

personally i hc grell as straight but ive seen a lot of other ppl call her bi or lesbian which i also think is cute!

some of my most favs are grell, undertaker, (those 2 are my most favorite), seb, claude (ill talk a lil bit more abt them after this point), snake, william, ronald, othello, basically all the shinigami lol, bardoy, finn, lau, ash/angela, joker, doll, vincent, agni, soma, and probs a few others i cant think if rn. and i havent read a lot of the manga as of rn (but i know whats happening) so sry if i didnt list a lot of the characters that have been shown in the manga and not the anime !

im rly invested in this franchise and i love all the characters and they story is so interesting and cool, i love the theories, fanart and fanfics ppl share!!

personally i like to hc that seb and ciel r like funky pals that care for eachother even just a lil bit (not in a shipping way i mean a friend/guardian way). maybe in an au lol

i like the aesthetic and characters in season 2, but imo its the worst season in the anime bc the story line and motives of the characters kinda flopped lol. even tho i know its bad, i still like it mainly cause of the characters that were introduced

i like claude, i like his aesthetic and he actually differs from seb in a lot of ways. his plan 2 achieve his motive to eat ciels soul was super dumb tho, hes a cool character but also a dumbass lol which is why ill laugh at jokes making fun of him.

but unlike seb i actually do think claude emotionally manipulated alois and killed him even tho he didnt deserve it. claude didnt “care” for alois like how seb “cares” for ciel (if that makes sense) seb actually had done a lot to protect ciel and obey his orders and the contract, but claude literally just said fu and killed him just so he could get another kids soul lmao

and once again, pedo ships are gross and horrible!!!
