[A mysterious green fog slowly fills the website, circling around ominously and clouding the vision of the AI.]
[And then? Singing. Someone was singing.]
Eyes toward the empty sky~
[A figure started to emerge, among the green.]
Searching for the big surprise~
[They came closer, making their presence known.]
Who's gonna ride~
With the elevator man?~

TS2 Legacy Collection CEP Extra Tutorial
Hi guys! I just wanted to make this quick tutorial on this since it's the first time a lot of players will be doing this.
Step 1: Download CEP Extra Manual installation from ModTheSims linked here (Read all instructions included if you get confused)
Step 2: Extract the Zip to a folder
Step 3: Open the folder and place the package _EnableColorOptionsMMAT into the Sims3D folder located here: Program Files > EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy>Base>TSData>Res>Sims3D
Step 4: Place the package _EnableColorOptionsGMND into your Downloads folder located here: Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy>Downloads **Note: You will likely have to create this folder yourself which is easy. Simply right click inside The Sims 2 Legacy folder and create a new folder named "Downloads" and place that file right inside.**
Step 5: Open the 'Extras' folder inside the Zip
Step 6: Open the folder 'MyDocuments' and place the entire zCEP-EXTRA folder inside your Sims 2 Legacy document folder located here: Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy
Step 7: Open the folder 'ProgramFiles' and place the entire zCEP-EXTRA folder inside your Catalog folder located here: Program Files > EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy>Base>TSData>Res>Catalog
And thats it! You should be good to go now. You can check if it's working by the start up message. If you have that setting turned off you can also check to see if it's working by going into one of the households and using the design tool on objects that were previously not recolorable or expanded objects. I believe you can also check to see if it's working by checking the skin tone range in CAS but don't quote me on that lol. Anyway I hope this helped someone 💜
EDIT: Quick reminder for those that are extremely new to the game that you need to start the game at least once first The Sims 2 Legacy folder to appear in your documents folder or you could simply create it yourself, add your folders, and then start the game after and it’ll populate around your newly added CEP and Downloads folder.

Okay. So the first thing we worked with was this programming tool called MIT App Inventor that’s meant to be for little kids based on the advertising, but I could only kind of understand on my own.
The first thing I did was mimic what was done in class, with an animal photo and a button that when clicked would make a sound. Sensational, I know. I repeated that to make sure I retained the memory of how to move around the website, and how to do literally anything with the blocks. From there, I also added some text to address what sound I used, and added a checkbox. This is what it looked like.
You might be wondering, why is the button called harrowing egg? That is because this is the sound I chose.
711623__joshstovall__sizzle-3.wav
I hope that link works! Who knows. Speaking of, here are the blocks I set up for this screen, which I also am not confident in!
So, when you click the checkbox, it should take you onto the second screen, and when you press the button it plays the sound. Basically. I'm pretty confident(?) that makes sense, but that leads us to the second problem. I can't get the fucking emulator to work.
I downloaded it! I have the stupid scary black screen App Inventor ai starter pulled up and ready! I can't get it to open! My god have I tried. I've opened just about every file in my ProgramFiles folder, even some that are for other programs just because I forgot what they were. I feel like I'm supposed to go through the MIT App website and it'll magically recognize the scary black screen is there and make it work, but I can't figure out how. So whether or not these blocks work? I just have to stay confident and positive. I'm going to ask about this in class do not fear.
Anyways, back to the actual program, you notice that when you click the checkbox, it might bring you a second screen. This is the second screen.
We are celebrating that you can figure out that that is a fried egg jellyfish. It's an accurate name, isn't it? These are the blocks associated with this screen. You can see what I was trying to do but I'll explain it anyways.
When it flips from Screen1 to Screen2, a sound is supposed to play automatically. It's this videogame-esque yippee sound I also found on creative commons. Same for the confetti photo actually. Here's the sound.
430925__higgs01__yipee.wav
That's my first taste of programming I guess. I'll try to get it running again in class, and if anything insane happens I'll reblog this with the update attached to it.
#why did you have to inhale chemicals professor#why couldnt we have done this in class#i dont know whats going on#i cant run it#help#i hope the doctor was fine though

Last ned og kjør McAfee Diagnosis & Repair Tool

Please also make sure to check your Microsoft 365 subscription. They will automatically renew you with a more expensive Copilot-enabled plan unless you opt-out. Information on how to opt out is here and also copied below: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/remove-copilot-from-word/c46d62d3-7eda-4472-85f4-46f961642b36?correlationid=1f0294b6-e885-4561-9d09-646af909733d&from=ContactUsWebBCQR If you prefer to use Microsoft 365 apps without Copilot at all. Please refer to the following to try to switch back to your old subscription.
Visit account.microsoft.com/services.
Select the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription you have and select “Manage”.
Select “Unsubscribe”.
View “Switch to a subscription that suits you better” and select “Microsoft 365 Personal /Family Classic”.
After following the instructions to complete your subscription. Your subscription will automatically renew to Classic when its existing subscription expires.
However, the above method is for switching your subscription to Classic and you will not be renewing your subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal with Copilot, but since the update to the Microsoft 365 app has already been completed, you may not see the changes to the features and interface in 365 right away.
We recommend that you restore your Microsoft 365 version to a earlier version, see the following:
Restore your version of Office
Close all Office software, in the "Start Menu", find "Command Prompt" (or "cmd"), right-click and select "Run as administrator" ;
At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
cd %programfiles% \Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun
Then enter the following and press Enter
Officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17531.20120
This will bring Office back to a stable version in February 2024.
If the above steps are successful, you'll be able to view Office version 17531.20120 under File -> Account -> Product Information. If another version is displayed here, it means that some of the steps were not executed successfully, please refer to the previous method and try again.
After restoring, open any Office application, such as Word, click File -> account. On the right side, check the "Microsoft 365 and Office Updates" heading , click the "Update Options" button, and select the "Disable Updates" option to disable the auto-update feature.
Please consider turning on automatic updates again after successfully switching to Classic to avoid updating again to a new version with Copilot.
It is with the deepest frustrations that I must report Microsoft has pushed out Copilot onto Microsoft Word no matter what your previous settings were. If you have Office because you paid for it/are on a family plan/have a work/school account, you can disable it by going to Options -> click on Copilot -> uncheck 'Enable Copilot'.
(Note, you may not see this option if you haven't updated lately, but Copilot will still pop up. Updating should give you this option. I will kill Microsoft with my bare hands.)
In addition, Google has forced a roll-out of it's Gemini AI on all American accounts of users over 18 (these settings are turned off by default for EU, Japan, Switzerland, and UK, but it doesn't hurt to check).
To remove this garbage, you must go to Manage Workspace smart feature settings for all your Gmail/Drive/Chat and turn them off. Go to Settings -> See all settings -> find under "Genera" the "Google Workspace smart features" -> turn smart feature setting off for both Google Workspace and all other Google products and hit save. (If you turned off the smart settings in your Gmail, it never hurts to open Drive and double-check that they're set to off there too.)
Quick Edit: I found the easiest way to get to the Smart Feature settings following the instructions above was to do it through Drive. Try that route first.
Now is the time to consider switching to Libre Office if you haven't already.

Stop Skitch on Windows from nagging about updates
If anyone's still using Evernote's Skitch on Windows and tired of the "Can't connect to Evernote servers" nag at launch, there's an easy fix.
Open %programfiles(x86)%\Evernote\Skitch\autoupdate\update.ini in Notepad or your favorite text editor and change check_for_updates = 1 to check_for_updates = 0
Save, and it won't nag you about not being able to connect anymore.

MyFile.java is a non-project file ...

I got so pissed off yesterday when Windows decided to pop up some stupid message about how "my "journey" with Windows 10 was ending and I should read their tips to get an entirely new computer" No. My personal computer is fine actually. It's more than fine, it works perfectly for the things I like to do on it and a megacorp of all entities will not convince me that it's supposedly "obsolete".
That popup annoyed me so much I immediately went looking for a way to disable it, because of course my only option to exit was "remind me later". And wouldn't you know, "remind me later" is literally a daily schedule. These bastards put adware in my computer so I'd have to read them bashing my personal use computer every single day under the guise of "what's best for our customer".
Anyway if anyone else has the same problem, I got rid of it thanks to the help of this article:
https://www.askvg.com/a-new-journey-with-windows-full-screen-message-in-windows-10/
And in case the article goes down for whatever reason, here's a simple rundown:
The banner comes from an executable named "Reusable UX Interaction Manager" (RUXIMIH.EXE). It's running from "C:\Program Files\RUXIM\". The executable runs on a schedule.
Here's the instructions to disable that schedule from the article:
Press WIN+R keys together to launch RUN dialog box, type taskschd.msc and press Enter. It’ll open Task Scheduler.
2. Now navigate to “Task Scheduler Library\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\RUXIM” section in the left-sidebar and look for a task named PLUGScheduler.
(The description of PLUGScheduler reads "Performs periodic Windows Update maintenance tasks", and the only task action is to launch "%ProgramFiles%\RUXIM\PLUGscheduler.exe". In my personal case it was the only schedule in that folder.)
3. Right click the task and either disable or delete it.
You can also take ownership of the /RUXIM folder (I didn't have to as I was already an admin but the article links to tutorials on how to do this) and edit or delete it.
I personally both deleted the schedule and the folder. We'll see how it fares with the next Window update. Still, even if it comes back, I'll happily spend an year kicking this stupid adware away from my computer until Windows 10 stops updating for good.

Empowering Communities: Exploring the Impact and Nuances of the LIHTC 4% Program
Midtown-builders
Empowering Communities: Exploring the Impact and Nuances of the LIHTC 4% Program
Fill out for more information
Introduction
The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) 4% program is a cornerstone in the development of affordable housing across the United States. Designed to encourage private investment in affordable rental housing for low-income Americans, the program offers tax incentives to developers and investors, facilitating projects that might not otherwise be economically feasible.
Importance of LIHTC 4% Grants to the Market
Promotes Affordable Housing Development: The LIHTC 4% grants act as a powerful catalyst for affordable housing projects. By providing tax credits, the program significantly reduces the equity developers need to raise, thereby lowering overall financing costs. This financial structure makes it feasible and attractive to invest in projects that offer lower rents for low-income individuals, addressing the critical need for affordable housing in diverse communities. Stimulates Economic Activity: The construction and rehabilitation of housing projects under the LIHTC 4% program generate substantial economic activity. This includes the creation of construction jobs, which provide employment and skill development opportunities in local communities. Furthermore, these projects boost local businesses and industries connected to building materials, home furnishings, and real estate services, thereby circulating money within the local economy and promoting economic growth. Enhances Community Revitalization: Investing in affordable housing through the LIHTC 4% projects often leads to the revitalization of underserved or economically depressed areas. Improved housing brings about more stable communities, which in turn can attract further investment and development. These projects can transform neighborhoods, reducing crime rates, enhancing public safety, and improving overall quality of life for residents.Addresses Housing Shortages: With many regions facing significant shortages of affordable housing, the LIHTC 4% program plays a key role in filling this gap. By making more housing units available to those who need them most, the program is a vital tool in combating housing insecurity and ensuring that all citizens have access to safe, affordable housing.Encourages Diversity and Inclusion: The program promotes inclusivity by providing housing options for diverse populations, including the elderly, disabled individuals, and families that might otherwise struggle to find affordable accommodation due to high market rates. This inclusivity fosters a community environment where varied cultural, economic, and social backgrounds can thrive together.
Who Benefits the Most from LIHTC 4%?
Low-Income Families and Individuals: These residents are the primary beneficiaries, gaining access to affordable rental housing which would typically be out of their financial reach. Affordable housing reduces the burden of rent on low-income families, allowing them to allocate more resources towards food, healthcare, education, and savings, thereby enhancing their overall economic stability. Developers and Investors: These stakeholders benefit from the tax credits which significantly reduce the capital needed to develop projects. This reduction transforms low-return affordable housing projects into viable, profitable ventures, making it an attractive investment opportunity. Additionally, investors use these tax credits to offset their tax liabilities, enhancing their overall investment portfolios. Local Governments and Communities: The development of affordable housing can lead to broader community improvements such as increased property values, higher tax revenues, and enhanced public amenities. Additionally, these projects often reduce the strain on local social services by providing stable housing options for vulnerable populations, which in turn can lead to reduced healthcare and law enforcement costs. Economic Development: The wider economy benefits from the job creation associated with new construction and rehabilitation projects. Residents of these developments contribute to the local economy through increased consumer spending, which supports local businesses and services, further stimulating economic growth.
Pros and Cons of LIHTC 4%
Pros: Encourages Investment in Affordable Housing: Provides essential tax incentives that make it financially viable to build or rehabilitate affordable housing. Non-Competitive and Automatically Available: Unlike the 9% tax credits, the 4% credits are non-competitive and automatically available, which leads to more predictable planning and reduced uncertainty in the development process. Stimulates Economic Growth: Facilitates the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing, generating jobs and economic activity. Reduces the Need for Direct Subsidies: Leverages private investment, making it a cost-effective approach to address the housing affordability crisis. Provides Stable, Affordable Housing: Offers residents stable, affordable rents which contribute to improved quality of life and financial stability. Cons: Complexity of the Program: Requires navigation through extensive federal and state regulations, extensive documentation, and ongoing compliance monitoring. Limited Scope for Deep Subsidies: Often requires additional funding sources, complicating project financing. Risk of Non-Compliance: Failure to adhere to compliance requirements can lead to recapture of credits, posing a financial risk. Potential for Lower Investor Interest: Yields less equity per dollar of cost compared to 9% credits, possibly affecting investor interest. Market Fluctuations Impact Funding: Because the 4% credits are closely tied to tax-exempt bond financing, fluctuations in the bond market can directly impact the availability and cost of financing. This can lead to delays or additional challenges in securing adequate funding for projects.
In Summary
The LIHTC 4% program is a vital mechanism for fostering affordable housing development, benefiting a wide spectrum of stakeholders from individual residents to the broader economic system. It exemplifies a successful public-private partnership model that not only addresses critical social needs but also provides tangible financial benefits to developers and investors. However, the complexities and challenges associated with navigating this program are significant. Developers and investors must thoroughly understand both the incentives and potential pitfalls to effectively utilize this program and create impactful, community-enhancing housing solutions.Related Services Read the full article

FEDERAL STOP-ORDER ON INDIO FARMER
SAN FRANCISCO, August 3: Joseph Munoz, a member of the Coachella Valley Farmers Association in Indio, has been refused further authorization to employ Mexican farm workers in a decision made public today by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Under the terms of public law 78 and the international agreement between the governments of the U.S. and Mexico, Mexican nationals may be imported to work on our farms only if it has been determined by authorities that there are not enough American workers in a specific area to fill farm-labor needs there.
Munoz was found to be using Mexican nationals to sort tomatoes in his packing shed despite repeated warnings by the U. S. Labor Department and the California Department of Employment that American workers were available for the jobs.
Glenn E. Brockway, regional director of the Labor Department's employment security bureau, issued his decision in a letter to the Coachella Valley Farmers Association. Brockway said, in part:
"All authorizations issued to the Coachella Valley Farmers Association to contract Mexican national workers are hereby revoked with respect to the employment of Mexican national workers by the said Joseph Munoz."
The federal stop-order also specified that because of Munoz's "repeated failure to give preference in employment of United States domestic workers", no authorizations would be granted him in future to use Mexican nationals.
The move came as part of the U.S. Labor Department's continuing policy of strictly policing the foreign-labor importation program so as to ensure first preference for farm jobs to American citizens.

Ok, this is important so if you're seeing this please do the check that I put up here ^^
If this does show something called reason cybersecurity then you have the malware. Nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to freak out about. We'll solve this together.
Rough overview of what we're gonna do, boot computer in safe mode, delete all files in %ProgramFiles%/RAV or %ProgramFiles%/reason or %ProgramFiles%/SafeNet
(I had /reason but someone online said /Rav and I've seen it call itself SafeNet, if you have the malware but can find any of those files check for /rs)
Then empty recycling bin and boot back up in normal mode and re-enable windows defender
If you know how to do all that then you can stop reading, otherwise here's how to do that in detail
Click windows then menu to restart computer, hold shift while the computer is restarting, it will open up in bios
Click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart. After the PC restarts, there is a list of options. Select 4 or F4 or Fn+F4 (following the on-screen instructions) to start the PC in Safe Mode.
Go to the %ProgramFiles% directory we found earlier (type it into the file explorer bar NOT FILE EXPLORER SEARCH BAR)
Delete all files in that directory
Open recycling bin, either fully empty it or delete just those files
Restart to enter normal mode
Go to virus and threat protection and click enable antivirus
That should work. If you experience any issues please let me know and I'll be happy to help
I love you, windows safe mode
