At this point I’m wondering if it’s a curse.

I’m in year 2 at my current job, which was actually awesome the first year I worked there, we’re barely past January now, and… it sucks.

The people remain great, the boss is still probably the best boss I’ve ever had my entire career, the work itself is actually interesting… and yet.

Budget cuts and dwindling staff are making it nearly impossible to do a good job. I’m the only functional analyst on 3 major impact projects and the only analyst doing RUN management and RFC/RFI tickets for our finance department, and all the deadlines converge because we have only 1 dev team and 1 sprint planning for everything. It’s the job of 2-3 people and I’m on my own. My two (2!) coworkers are similarly overloaded.

We used to have 10 analysts and 5 project managers. Now there’s 3 analysts and 2 project managers, for the same amount of work.

I’m not sure how long I can keep doing this, and this was the job I actually thought I’d be able to stick with long-term. I liked it here.

I'm definitely a huge bkdk shipper over any other ship. And my feelings on Katsuki's ending aside, I honestly don't really mind that it's implied IzuOcha are gonna end up dating. (I'll just read fanfic to get my bkdk fill). I just wish it had gone differently. It seems like they've stayed in touch these 8 years, but they're not really very close. But I feel like, with all the quirk counseling work that Uraraka is doing, especially since her work is fueled by what happened with Toga, and she and Deku had bonded over their feelings about their villains, I feel like Deku would've involved himself in her work as well. Deku loves quirks! He loves analyzing them and shit. He would've been all OVER that. He would've loved to help her out with her mission, and they could've done it together. I feel like it would've been such a good project for them to work on together, and grow closer over the course of it.

I love 1634, I love the narrative and the lore, I love that hometown boy is playing for his childhood team, like I Get It. But the Toronto Market™️ does nooooooot (at all) deserve Mitch Marner. This isn’t about his personal strength or capability of handling adversity; he’s proven he can. But this is about seeing vultures trying to tear apart a literal human being who has repeatedly demonstrated he is a good person, a great player, a great teammate, etc. This guy could bleed on center ice for this team and certain people would still jeer and try to tear him apart. It’s beyond crossed into a level of frothing hate and harassment that I don’t know that I’ve seen in the current NHL era and I’ve been watching hockey my whole life.

Looking at PYWWR Tsumugi is sooooo interesting, mainly because there's a HUGE debate on whether or not Drag is Cosplay or a form of it.

It also hits harder bc of Ryo's role in creating both the killing game and the tragedy AND was working with The Steering Committee. He was playing both sides, he was writing the story how he wanted it to go. He played a major part in the creation of Izuru then turned around and used that against HPA. This is very apparent even in Canon when Junko is literally writing Dr0, and how everything was set up by her to create a story.

PYWWR Tsumugi wants to BE Ryo, not Junko. Sure, she's the Icon, the face, everyone LOVES her and so does Tsumugi.

I feel this works well with her Canonical self, but its emphasized with the distinction of Ryo and Junko and Ryo's OWN issues regarding himself and his identity.

To put it best: think of one of the first things she says. She love making cosplay, but doesn't think people love them enough to have the privilege to wear them.

She loves creating things, but she has to play those roles bc no one loves it enough.

She loves Junko, but she doesn't think anyone else deserves to play her role.

He loves Junko, but wants to be Ryo.

But Ryo has to be Junko.

So Tsumugi has to be Junko.

I work in teams with people at work and we have a few leads in the team (consulting, project management, analysis and reporting, survey and reporting platforms) and nothing fucks me off more than when I'm trying to delegate a problem to the person responsible for solving it and in response they try to give me advice for how I can solve it.... no buddy this is your problem to solve. I've already done part of your job by defining the problem you've got to solve. you can use your own brain to make decisions I promise it's not that scary.

finally gave in to getting windows 11 at work because it was the price of getting an upgraded computer with an appropriate amount of ram for the kind of shit i do. got the new desktop yesterday, set up all my settings again, everything's back to being pink, etc etc. and then i look at the specs and. same amount of ram as before.
