Another sticker in the works. I drew this maybe a month ago, and just recently added the plums to the bottom, and colored it. I kind of surprised with how much I like this! I think he looks really good. He's kind of got Chef Gusteau vibes from ratatouille, when he's the illustration in the book smelling the cake. Except evil lol :'D
I'd like to think that the Baker's Dozen were all orphans that Jack 'adopted' (free child labor). I don't know how else they'd remain so loyal to him. Goldie is an orphan, Perro is an orphan and the Bakers Dozen are all orphans!
A big question I had when I left the cinema watching Puss in Boots was this line Jack Horner made. He says he had stability and a mansion and we all assume he was just born the son of a pie billionaire with a gold spoon, but in the one flashback we get of Jack we see him and his family with a run down cart and dirty clothes, far from the life of luxury we thought he grew up in. In fact the reason people know him as Little Jack Horner was because he had to entertain and impress customers to buy their pies, which is not someone who was born of noble status or a rich buisness merchant would need to do if they had the money.
Idk thoughts on this? Jack Horner is undoubtedly an evil guy but the words he says vs the only time we actually see his childhood are completely opposite. Maybe there's more to Horner than we think?
I just rewatched puss in boots the last wish and I noticed tge horses pulling jacks cart aren't horses at all! THERE UNICORNS WITH CUT OFF HORNS! Oh my god the attention to the detail in this movie is amazing! I love it so much
Also the moments before puss dies to the bell we can see death in the crowd (not fully but his silouete is there)
The detair in the movie is absolutley fantastic And I love it dearly ALSO! remember you can noe buy puss in boots online SO DO IT! WE WANNA SEE THESE 150 MILION BECOME 500!
I am SO happy to finish this drawing and share it with you!! Some bigass paper was necessary to fit Big Jack Horner in all his glory :’) (and a bigass photoshop document, rip my laptop)
Also, I’m planning on making this into prints! I’m working on setting up a store as we speak, and I am super hyped about it!
Everyone's talking about the inconstancies the last wish has regarding towards the shrek movies, and the universe as a whole, and I wanted to throw my own thoughts in the ring.
We know about the magic wand that Jack has possession of isn't Fairy Godmother's wand for many reasons, and the obvious one with the Three bears, where mama bear was murdered by Lord Farquard in the first movie that kicked the franchise to high gear. As much as we want to know if mama bear's fate had been retconned, the fanbase had pretty much agreed on a theory that Papa bear was the original baby bear that grew up to start a family of his own.
This theory had got me thinking since I heard about it.
When a character important to the story they are from dies, does another take their place but in their own way?
We know Death exists and we know multiple characters from set narratives had died at some point, and without them, the fairytale/nursery rhyme wouldn't live or at least won't work as intended.
Like the answer works for the three bears, and Goldilocks herself since a younger version of her was only present in videogames, mainly Shrek Smash and Crash Racing, which was also one of Humpty Dumpty's old appearances.
