Madi had always thought it was a mistake.

She was told that she was chosen for her natural musical gift and her knowledge of piano, hence why she was bestowed a synthesizer.

But working at a cafe and having seen the worst in people, the poor girl eventually reached a point where she felt protecting humanity as a whole just wasn’t worth it. At this rate, she was only continuing this to protect people she cared about. Which was… only a handful in comparison to the planet population.

Wrath corrupted Madi’s soul, and she eventually found herself seeking out the one living being other warriors would not dare to reason with…

Nordic Bunny; ruler of the galaxy and nightmare to humanity... According to him, at least.

Booming laughter could be heard throughout the room. “You want to JOIN me??” Nordic Bunny was visibly baffled by this human—no, this warrior—approaching him with such a proposition. “No human has requested such a thing before!! And you are one of those warriors!—how can I trust you won’t use that little synthesizer against me??”

Madi’s eyes remained averted to the ground as she was silent for a moment… Slowly taking off the synthesizer and getting down on her knees, she placed the instrument at Nordic Bunny’s feet and bowed before him with both hands on the floor; tears forming in her eyes.

“They made a mistake choosing me… I know they did,” she explained in a brittle voice. “I’ve seen the amount of cruelty and indifference in the world… Humanity as a whole is not worth protecting. The fact that I’ve given in and am approaching you like this shows just how weak of a warrior I really am. I know I can’t say much to convince you to trust me… I just hope my actions will speak louder than my words. And if I do use this instrument against you…” Tears were falling onto the floor… “you can break it yourself…”

… The overlord was so taken aback by this, he wasn’t sure what to even say at first as he stared down at the crying girl with wide eyes.
