third annual wine stream complete & actually left me teary eyed! me and the old roomie had the same sort of vibes going on yesterday when she visited, so it was super comfy to see the lads back at it again!

some qsmp but also quackity-related stuff to share from the stream:

yes it’s true, there’s a clip from @royalarchivist! wilbur did want to log onto the server recently off stream, but stopped after spotting tallulah on philza’s stream (basically realized he couldn’t do their whole reunion off stream even though that could’ve been funny!)

wilbur was told about and invited to the qsmp project right after the 2nd annual wine stream, in the car, by a drunk quackity

wilbur loves how he’s a hatsune miku meme and contributes that to the skill of the creators on the qsmp, also affirming multiple times that the creators featured on the qsmp are the best at their work

new languages will be featured on the qsmp soon, as quackity referenced with his research into more languages and cultures

another implied mention of the next qsmp meetup: quackity told wilbur he has to go

wilbur got to try one or two snacks from brasil and the oh so famous, which he did like, guarana

without chat seeing, quackity showed wilbur all the administrative discord channels he’s managing for the server

quackity has plans to release music in the new year!

then, i’m just casually scrolling tumblr, and a Bad main makes an analysis connecting him to a rabid dog who barks louder to steer the bigger dogs away— who has fangs and claws that are too sharp that he hurts those he wants to protect.

AND THEN, i’m supposed to move on with my life and live with the fact that it has irreversibly changed my whole worldview about the nature of people, and how it caused me to reflect on the complexities of relationships between individuals, and how beautiful and ugly love and loving is.

I'm Xen, and me and some of my friends are making an SMP called Restless SMP! This is a multi-lingual modded minecraft server!

It is semi-based off the QSMP in some aspects, with inspiration from many others, and has been a work in progress for a few months!

its spotify wrapped day so here's me justifying my low listening minutes as someone who genuinely loves music lol

i very much like music, and especially live music, but i have to be in an incredibly specific mood for listening to like spotify lol

if im genuinely revising i will not listen to lyrics so video game music is great (classical scares me). sonic + mario for speedrunning work due soon, minecraft soundtrack for calmer vibes. during exam season it was a mix of music and qsmp twitch streams (mostly foolish building so like i get avatar lofi + building asmr💀💀). i can somehow focus during lore/more chaotic streams too, its like background noise.

in study, i listen to lyrics but probably shouldn't bc i don't get enough work done

on the bus home alone, i can listen to music with lyrics too. thats been happening more often now so my listening time has increased on the regular during the time counted for next years wrapped.

i also have a cd collection (+ all liv vinyls + FITF vinyl) which i can also listen to music from

my siblings also listen to loads of music so i don't play any on top of theirs

i learn songs faster when i sing them so smule is my bff

ironically I should be continuing to write chapters to my two WIP fics on AO3 but I keep forgetting to and instead working on something else

main reason is just that both fics are based around the qsmp and other fellas who aren't in the qsmp, but I'm not that interested in the qsmp anymore and it sucks since I have two fics in progress

but they do mention/kind of are about people that I do watch more frequently now so I guess I do have to write some chapters soon

however I am writing something about ccs that I am interested in so I might share it soon but I know that once I send it somewhere I will forget to do it and it's a story that I do hope I can complete

has about 6k words almost 7k from three chapters together, meaning I have to edit them a lot in the end and write for much longer

The ex-admin for Dansir, Lapin, and Sk8ter (a penguin) came out on Twitter with her experience as a QSMP admin and it’s very grim. The user is @/Leasagne_ on Twitter.

I’m gonna try my best to translate from French :

1st Tweet : « Imagine having the first multilingual minecraft server in the world and paying your staff 150€/month and threatening to sue them if they complain. »

2nd Tweet: «  «You signed an NDA blablabla if you speak we’ll sue you. » Yeah Yeah, sure. They think they can gift me a toy and i’ll forgive them and shut my mouth. They don’t know who they are facing »

3rt Tweet : Talking about the NPC she played « Dansir, Tototte, my version of Cucurucho and Lapin won’t come back. Enough of treating people who give a lot of themselves like trash »

She then tweeted art she made for QSMP that she hasn’t been paid for. This include for exemple a Rose drawing, a Lucy drawing and the Techno fanart from Dia de los muertos event.

4th tweet : « Everyone is burnt out in their entreprise but it’s not a problem bc no one can talk or they risk getting sued. »

She then make a serie of tweets explaining why they got fired : « During a stream, Aypierre leaked my name, thanks dude, they saw that i was talking to him on discord, which is a FORBIDDEN THING. I was then accused of leaking things to him, bc on the screenshot, i was talking about DDOSon the server which is considered sensitive information. There was then an investigation on me, which i said was useless as I didn’t have anything to hide and was ready to answer all their questions. I admitted not following the rules (btw it’s forbidden to have chatrooms BETWEEN ADMINS, that’s why I wasn’t following the rules). We aren’t allowed to talk to streamers out of stream, but everyone does it i was just caught doing it. »

She also added some more stuff

-Saying that they were only TWO french admins (the other being Pomme’s) and OP had to do all the translations of QSMP newspapers, as well as adding articles on french CCs as they had been forgotten.

-Said that Empanada wasn’t supposed to be killed that day, it was an accident.

-Said that Pomme��s death, which was reversed, was forced so that « Baghera would have a tragic reaction »

-Said that the QSMP admin staff are all wonderful people with good dynamics, higher ups are the problem.

-Said that she believes Quackity isn’t aware that this is happening.

I know a lot of people on qsmpblr use Tumblr mobile, but if you do use browser Tumblr then I would recommend the Simple Translate extension. Because Tumblr doesn't have built in translation like Twitter, there's less fans posting in their native language, instead most people just use English.

Simple Translate is an extension that allows you to translate text that you highlight into a target language. (It uses Google Translate API, but so does Twitter so the translation quality is pretty much the same).

Firefox Extension | Chrome Extension

When you highlight text in another language, a translate icon appears, when you click on it a panel containing the translation of the text appears.

You can also change the settings of the extension so that the translation panel automatically appears when you highlight text in another language.

Here's some more examples using the official QSMP Twitter accounts, you do not need to change the settings of the extension to translate from different languages into your target language.

(All of these match the translations given when using the "translate bio" button on Twitter directly.)

You can also access a translation box using the icon in the toolbar, any text you enter can be translated to the language selected in the drop-down menu (meaning you don't need to open a new tab to use Google Translate).

Some settings explanation and other stuff under the cut. Not super important but I figured I'd add it anyways.

There is an option to use DeepL API as opposed to Google Translate (it's another translation tool, there is free access to the API with a limit of 500,000 characters/month, and a pro version for unlimited access).

Whatever the target language is set as is what text you highlight will be translated into. There is another option for a second target language, I'll explain that further down.

This option changes how you view the translation panel, the first option (default) has the icon appear when you highlight text (as seen in the first image of the post), the second option has the translation panel appear automatically when you highlight text, and the for third option the panel and icon won't automatically appear, but can still be accessed by right-clicking the highlighted text and selecting "translate selected text".

The checkbox below these options means that if the text you're highlighting is already in your target language, the translation icon and panel will not appear, it can again still be accessed by right-clicking what you've highlighted and selecting translate.

This option appears twice, in both the Web-page section (for translating selected text) and the Toolbar Popup section (for the translation box in the toolbar popup).

The web page option, when toggled on, means that when you select text that is in your target language, the translation panel will translate into the second target language that has been selected. If the checkbox for "do not display if translation is not required" is toggled on, you can only view the translation from Target -> 2nd Target by right-clicking to translate selected text.

The toolbar popup version of this option is used to automatically switch the language in the toolbar translation box when you input something in your main target. (ie. second target set to French means that when you input English text in the translation box it will switch the translation setting from "(detect language) -> English" to "English -> French").

There are also settings to change the style and size of the translation button and panel.

Side note: Mixed language messages (not containing your target language) will only translate one of the languages, you can work around this by highlighting the different languages separately.
