The only other thing I’m dedicated enough to would be Halo, but as far as I’m aware of there would be nothing to post. Besides Cameo vids and cameos are usually just like birthday/congratulation messages. Not really stuff you’d post. And even if there were streams for me to go through, I don’t have the time to do so.

Unless you meant in a theoretical sense, assuming there was stuff to post and time wasn’t an issue. Then yes I’d probably have an account just for Halo stuff. Not a specific character though.

Looking at Wish, I just keep thinking of the people who called Frozen a 'lazy movie' because they used really similar face shapes for Anna, Elsa and their mother.

Look at the ice and snow effects in that movie. Listen to the music. Enjoy the comedy. Remember that it isn't even close to the beauty of Disney's best and yet it still remains a work of art.

Now look at Wish as the monkey's paw curls. Hey- at least they use different face shapes.

A lot of mediocre or straight up bad works are published traditionally because getting a book deal is something like winning the lottery. Publishers only take chances on things they expect to sell extremely well and things that belong to authors with connections.

But the thing is, people from all over the world and all walks of life love to write. Fanfic is a love letter (to the craft, to the community, [sometimes] to the source material).

Even though it's "just a hobby" a lot of people work hard to improve their writing and make it the best they can (hi, I'm people). And generally this is done without a team of editors behind them. There are also 13,530,000 fanfics on AO3 (as of Sept 1, 2024). So of course AO3 has some better quality works than what the creators wrote themselves.

Worst part of rewatching Ouran is then wanting to reread Ouran too, which I own...in a boxset...packed away in a box...in the garage...('cause I have no space in my bedroom since I'm still living with family...)

So I'm trying to read it online instead and god, how did I ever survive early 00's fan translations and host sites they're so fucking bad. Like at some point the scan quality drop is atrocious, and the translations only get worse as different groups dropped and picked up different projects just to finish them...

It's genuinely trash that we're living in an era where there are so many more ways to consume anime legally for higher quality but we have yet to bridge the same gap for manga. Like aside from shounen jump having a legal site for translated chapters, no one else has shit, so there's no other way to read a lot of older series even if they have official translations.
