Question for your Operator/Drifter:
Do they talk to their Warframes? And I swear I don't just mean Umbra.
My Operator and Drifter talk to them all the time. Especially to thank them. They know they are not the original 'Warframes', but they also can tell something of them is still inside of those organic metal shells.
My drifter for example calls Sevagoth 'Captain', thanking him for helping her save people where ever they go. She thanks Voruna for being the powerful huntress she is and pats the wolves for being such good pack mates. And last but not least she thanks Harrow, since he is the one Warframe that 'protects' the Operator while she is away. But honestly... They love them all. They are family. For them being a Tenno is more than just them, it is the bond between an Operator/Drifter and their Warframe.

Okay, I'm gonna steal @thefreefencer 's idea and write out a list of questions about Drifter/Operator headcanons. This is not my idea originally, and I'm nowhere near as good at writing the hard-hitting questions as she is, so go check her blog out!
1. Does your Drifter/Operator have any habits or idiosyncrasies? Do they bite their nails, close their closet door before bed, or anything like that?
2. Does your Drifter/Operator still feel fear? If so, to what degree and what causes it?
3. What makes your Drifter/Operator laugh? How often do they get the chance to?
4. How has the void affected your Drifter's/Operator's life? Aside from the whole "getting roped into a massive space war" thing, are their daily lives affected?
5. Your Drifter/Operator (or maybe even both) have just been brought into the real world. How do they respond? Do they like the world we live in? Would they want to go back?
6. How does your Drifter/Operator feel about killing? Are they used to it, or does it keep them up at night?
7. What's their favorite color? If they've got a reason, why?
8. Does your Drifter/Operator read? Watch TV/movies? Play games? If so, which ones?
9. Assuming Amir managed to finish the game he was making, would your Drifter play it?
10. The world is ending. How does your Drifter/Operator react? Assuming they've got a bit of time (let's say anywhere from a month to a year), how do they spend that time?
Bonus question: How much is your Drifter/Operator a reflection of you as a player?

random wally related questions about your tenno:
what was your operator's and/or drifter's first reaction to finding the man in the wall hanging out in their orbiter?
did they see it as a threat or just a mild inconvenience?
did they become more or less uncomfortable after each appearance?

@dangerva found this before me (how dare), so now I feel obligated to do it as well. Credit to @/thefreefencer for this little QnA :3
1. Is there anything your Drifter remembers about their parents? How old were they when they lost them?
He remembers his parents pretty fondly. He remembers them being pretty caring, that type of parental figure that tries not being just a *parent*, but a *friend* as well.
-
2. Through a sick fucking joke, courtesy of Wally, congratulations your Drifters dead parents are alive but you have one day with them. What would your Drifter do?
He would most likely spend as much time as he could with them, doing things like shopping in Cetus, or even just sitting down and talking with them.
-
3. What was your Drifter like as a kid back in those days on the Zariman before the Incident?
He was a little bit of a socially awkward chaos demon (who knew where to draw the line, of course. His parents didn't raise a monster). His friend circle was kinda small, but he was known as the kid who went out of his way to at least greet someone.
-
4. Did your Drifter know Rell? Were they friends? (As a sidenote, best frame is Harrow, don't @ me [Error side note, MAYBE I *WILL* @ YOU /j)
He didn't really know him too well. Occasionally, he'd greet him, but it was one of those "if this interaction doesn't last more than a couple seconds, *I*probably won't make it last any longer" deals.
-
5. Other than square shaped foods what would a comfort food or drink be for the Drifter?
Before meeting the Hex, he took to street food from multiple different towns. His favorite being mostly fish.
-
6. So now that we got Velimir+Minerva, Kaya and Flare+Lizzie, so how we getting along with the Roundtable folks so far? (I'll be doing a Roundtable version later)
Getting along quite well! He feels as if he's right back on the Zariman, being a little bit of the social awkward kid he used to be, hanging out with his friend group.
-
7. Did you get the cursed office chair and if you did, how's the Drifter dealing with that pain in the ass showing up in the middle of the apartment at random, inconvenient times?
I *didn't*, but because I can, he feels unnerved every time he sees is. He doesn't get the same feeling with other office chairs, but this specific one that keeps showing up just gives him worse heebie geebies than Wally.
-
8. If say nothing had happened to that jump to Tau, what would your Drifter had grown up to be?
He probably would've ended up becoming a scholar, and later a teacher.
-
9. Do you have any other iterations of your Drifter in other games? Anything different about them?
As of right now, no.
-
10. As a fun question to end this one: In Amir's Fables and Frontiers game, would your Drifter join and what class would they pick?
He would ABSOLUTELY join! He would most likely pick something along the lines of a paladin.
-
Bonus Question:
You got isekai-ed into WF, and somehow by dumb luck you got rescued by either Drifter/Operator (your choice), be it in the Origin system or 1999 Hollvania, how screwed are you?
I'm fucked. This mf has two brain cells, and a Kuva Lich probably took them.

Ten + Ten More Drifter Questions
All questions graciously borrowed from @thefreefencer's posts here and here!
As per my usual, adding a "read more" to spare the dashboard from a potentially lengthy post.
ROUND ONE!
What is that one party trick that the Drifter would show the Hex and who do you think would be the most impressed with?
Idk, fghdsjlkfshgdljk! Maybe the bottle flipping one? As for who might be more impressed, that might be Amir (watch him flip several bottles in the following days, trying to get the thing right at least once).
Would the Drifter spend more time in 1999 or 50-50 back in their own time?
Drifter Damienne instantly ended up lovestruck with 1999, so she's been spending most of her time in that timeline. She's been still visiting Operator Damienne, when "big sis" knows that "lil sis" isn't busy.
There's no missions, so what would the Drifter be doing on their free time with the Hex? Or are they loners and/or stays in their current time until they're summoned?
She would totally spend her free time gaming, with or without Amir (all depends on whether Amir's currently deployed in some mission), and also videocalling "lil sis" to chitchat and keep up with the latest news from the future/the past.
They have free time but they have an S/O, what would they be up to?
See the answer above? Yeah, that's it. Probably add a Marathon of "Warrior Queen Zasta" sprinkled with intense cuddling sessions.
Are you gonna show off your most broken Warframe builds to the Hex? (Be real, cause I would.)
Oh, Damienne totally would. She would also show the build for "Zappy", just in case some other "Zappy" techie might feel like getting a harmless, further upgrade someday.
How much of the future is Drifter gonna divulge to their new friends? Or are they straight up gonna just mention something here and there with no context whatsoever?
The timeline is probably and already royally screwed thanks to Entrati's actions, so Damienne has no qualms with divulging all she may be asked about. Unless it's something personal that might make her uncomfortable (in which case, she would make it very clear to the other part).
Well, the Hex live in a mall, so where would Drifter hunker down during their rest periods?
Uh… In the Backroom? 🤔 (She would literally know no other place)
What souvenir they're gonna abscond from 1999 and take it back to the future?
Multiple recipes for the different types of Big Bytes Pizza, the Countessa comic series, On-Lyne CD, and, in the grim probability that it's gonna be a farewell, a group picture with the Hex + the glasses on the Backroom's mannequin (they are the same worn by Amir).
There's a lot of scattered trash, drink cups, etc in the Mall, would the state the Hex live in annoy your Drifter?
Nah, but she would diplomatically try to suggest them to get a "space Roomba" to clean the place up.
If there was a choice to romance Major Rusalka, would you romance her?
Damienne would never. But Magda would totally give it a shot. 😏
ROUND TWO!
What is the one food item from 1999 that you know your Drifter would like? (Also if it's country specific, add that in if you want, I'm not from the US either) Damienne ain't a picky eater. If any Hex approached her with a personal dish (be it something from their own country of origin or simply a dish/drink they really love and want to share), she'll gladly chow/chug it down. Squared jelly spaghetti NOT included.
2. Did your Drifter finish Caliber Chicks and got the secret ending?
She did finish it, complete with secret ending, and then, like any good gamer, she set off to try and beat her own high score.
3. If you could pick any tarot card from the Major Arcana, which would your Drifter be?
*scrambles to look those cards up because has virtually zero knowledge on tarots*
I guess it is safe to say that it would be either "The Chariot" or "Strength". 🤔
4. Is your Drifter 90s fashionable or just doesn't give a damn? Explain their fashion if you want!
She loves to bits her new attire, so she's definitely 90s fashionable.
5. So, here's a hard one. The Reset happened. The Hex don't remember you. Would the Drifter do it all again or mope?
"Damienne" and "moping" are not meant to get along. Ya bet she will redo everything from scratch.
6. If two of the Hex (who and who) get into a massive squabble is your Drifter gonna:
watch it unfold with popcorn in hand
stop them and try to diplomatically try to get them to settle
join in the violence
Would depend entirely on who the Hexes are and what the squabble is about. 🤔 Like, if it's Lettie chewing anyone else's head off for whatever reason, Damienne might grab the popcorn (and watch from a safe distance).
Kaithe or Atomicycle?
Atomicycle all the way. Yes, Damienne would be capable of smugging it into Duviri.
"You thought being trampled by a speeding Depreshun Honse would hurt? Watch this, mothermuckers~ :)" (Damienne @ some Thrax soldiers as she revs Tommy's engine)
What are your Drifter's favourite 1999 trinkets?
In no particular order:
Countessa Comic (a nice alternative to "Waverider")
Big Bytes Pizza
Argon Burger Meal
Cheddar Crowns Cereal (she can simply fish them out of the box and shove a handful in her mouth, making them the perfect Gaming Snacc™️)
9. How does your Drifter celebrate Star Days with the Hex and their significant other?
In whatever way Amir would like to. All Damienne's grown to know about Star Days celebration is to just… Go into Orb Vallis, wreck some stuff to grab some debt bonds, then head back to Auntie Ticker and trade bonds for whatever goods she has in store for the event. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
How do the civilians see the Drifter? As a friendly face, a weirdo, a mystery figure that helps them out from time to time?
She would get mixed reactions, from people secretly judging her for the way she looks, to younger folks being fascinated by her hairstyle, or the "visage ink", her piercings… Not to mentioned her bubbly demeanour. Some may try and ask her some advices on how to beat a certain cabinet game, the bolder ones would even try and ask her about the future and how she can do "all those freaky things".

Just wanted to ask a few questions!
Does your drifter have any hobbies?
What are their favourite things to do?
Are any of the hex members their besties?
Do they have a main Warframe or do they have a variety?
-
Also my drifter says hello! 👋🏼✨
omg!!!! getting to ramble about Alyx is an opportunity I'd never pass up :3
In terms of hobbies I think Alyx would be pretty uninterested before getting to Höllvania, but once they get there they love playing the games in the arcade (they're pretty crap though), and tending to the plants they've got in their backroom
Favourite things to do? Anything that involves bothering Quincy or Arthur lol. Also pseudo girls' nights with Amir and Aoi (and maybe Eleanor depending on the night), usually involving both crappy movies and crappier snacks :D (also anything involving amir but that's a whole other topic teehee)
Aoi is definitely Alyx's bestie, she did all their piercings and loves hearing about all the things they got up to before Höllvania, and also about how Operator is doing back in the Origin System!
Their main frame was Excalibur, but now they use a combination of Volt and Koumei, depending on the mission :)
Thank you for the questions!! I love brainrotting about Alyx and their existence out of the game's bounds so this was lots of fun :D

this has been sitting in my drafts forever so i'm just gonna post it!!! these are my Plural Lotus headcanons that are Integral to my interpretation of them
Lotus represents balance while Natah and Margulis represent extremes, but she also represents Acceptance in The Sacrifice. So it makes sense that Lotus is the most passive, or "watching and waiting" one of the three
Lotus is also the most withdrawn and cautious one because she's the one who holds the trauma of every event leading to The New War. From her kidnapping in Apostasy Prologue, she was Lotus-turned-Margulis. From the Sacrifice to her death in New War, she was Lotus-turned-Natah.
After holding back Wally, Lotus fainting was a direct result of realising that the war was over. That she was finally free. That she could finally get the rest she desperately needed. And her entire body took that realisation and completely shut down. The need for rest was that dire.
This is when Natah and Margulis start to awaken. In the epilogue, when the Operator and Drifter are asking Lotus Radiant questions, Natah and Margulis also answer at the same time, each with their own insight and inflections. This is what leads to Lotus saying that she hears voices.
Natah was just as dead as Margulis when her body was reprogrammed. (Jovian Concord monologue: "I became a memory, a ghost"). Therefore, Lotus was formed from a blank slate of a (powerful) Sentient husk and Margulis' memory.
Natah, being the Sentient body personified, is able to access everyone's memories at will. She can also read everyone's minds, while still being able to focus perfectly on the present/outer world. She uses this to watch over Lotus and monitor her wellbeing.
Natah hates accessing or reading Margulis' mind though. She does not enjoy the imperfect, inaccurate, messy nature of Human memory. So she leaves Margulis alone for the most part.
Because she sees everyone's memories, Natah is the first to realize that she was formed to protect the Lotus. She takes the role of prosecutor, and she's very fiercely protective. Natah places much more weight in remembering the trauma rather than suppressing it like Margulis did.
Margulis is someone Lotus remembers for caring for and loving the Tenno, so she was formed with the intent of having a caretaker in the Lotus system. She's best at grounding Lotus, whispering soothing words to her and generally being a gentle and comforting presence.
There is very clear friction between the way Natah and Margulis handle their roles. Natah's decisiveness can be pushed into being cutthroat and stubborn, and Margulis' healing can veer into unrealistic idealism. Natah doesn't like how Margulis encourages Lotus to neglect her traumatic memories, and Margulis doesn't like Natah's insistence on forcing her to remember. They both think the other is pushing back Lotus' progress; Natah by intentionally surfacing painful memories and Margulis by exposing Lotus' weak points to the same aggressor again.
Very much a fight between, "If you don't remember how it damaged you, it will always happen again" vs "It will never happen again, you're safe and free to live like it never did"
Natah vs Margulis isn't only about Power vs Healing/Destroying the enemy vs Protecting your allies... it's about Remembrance vs Oblivion in regards to distress and trauma.
Lotus gets intermittently pulled around by these two for a while, until Margulis' comforting lies become unignorable and Natah's ruthlessness becomes unbearable. And when Lotus finally snaps and asserts herself to them... it's a wake up slap to both Natah and Margulis. This marks the point where they start quietly trying to work together... pushing past their rivalry to then FINALLY. Explore each other's bodies. Sentient-Human headmate style.
Thank you for reading. I can go on and on but I'm just gonna leave u with the mental image of Lotus walking in on Natah and Margulis having ravenous floor sex because they've actually never fucked a woman in their lives and they're not normal about it

Warframe Ramblings: Albrecht Entrati Edition
*Contains varying spoilers from different story quests up to Warframe 1999*
Say what you want about Albrecht, but the man had taste, fr.
The Sanctum Anatomica is one of the most gorgeous and detailed tilesets I've seen in Warframe. I love seeing the Necramech pods on the walls, the hardwood floorings, all the pretty gold embellishments. Albrecht cooked.
Just now I had a random passing thought, since Albrecht's lab is under the infested parts of Deimos, I like to think that Albrecht every so would often go to see his family on the upper levels while they're sleeping and would make sure to spend the most time with his daughter, Euleria aka Mother. (He'd put Loid and Otak to sleep while he visits so he could maintain secrecy.)
Every time he sees her, he's continuously reminded of how much he loves her, misses her, and even how he took her presence for granted before her mutation. He regrets how his hubris led him to where he is, trying to outrun a creature of his own making but unable to fully comprehend.
On some of the days he visits Euleria, he'd be able to part with a smile, and other days he'd have to stifle tears, especially when he's had a rough day in his lab. No matter the circumstances, he'd always leave with the reinstated determination to keep her safe.
To me there's no doubt that this distance he maintains is for her protection. If he managed to lead the Indifference, Wally, to even consider that his care for Loid was surface level, then what more for his daughter. Outside looking in, it really looks like Albrecht abandoned Loid, his family, the Cavia, all in the name of research, but I think he's trying to isolate the Indifference as much as possible with the hopes of being able to neutralize it, maybe even kill it. Now that the Operator, Drifter and Mama Lotus are in play, things may change.
(Ooh Hunhow redemption arc? Sacrifices himself to save Mama Lotus from the Indiffernece as his last fatherly act, and she's emotionally conflicted on how she should feel. Ugh seeing her cry would hurt. Oh, and we'd have the option to say something consoling to her or give her a hug. Bro I'd actually be in tears.)
As a last thought, I'm thinking that Albrecht may be of the mindset that once he's able to take out the Indifference for good, he'll either have a cure in place or in the works to kill the Infestation without killing the host itself. I think he'd start in the Hex and Hollvania first, then work his way back to Deimos, going through the Entrati family, leaving his daughter for last.
I do understand that somehow reversing the Infestation would definitely have lasting implications on the game, so I'm pretty sure it's not gonna happen, at least any time soon.
But wouldn't it be such a scene?
Albrecht's theme playing gently as he walks up to Euleria and injects her with the cure. Her size starts to widdle down until she's back to her original Orokin form. Albrecht covers her and in a daze she looks up and even though his skin is no longer periwinkle in color, she immediately recognizes her father. Poor woman is so shaken she can barely string a sentence, except for,
"Is it really you?"
Albrecht would wipe her oncoming tears, while tears of his own start to run down his face.
"It's me Euleria. I'm...I'm so sorry for being absent as long as I was. I...I did what I thought was necessary to keep you safe...to get to this moment...and I can only apologize for how long that it took me."
All she can do now is cry and cling on to Albrecht, who keeps her close and consoles her.
"*chuckles* You've always been an inquisitive one, especially in the days of your youth...I'm sure now, you have more questions than ever before... rest assured...I will be here to answer all of them...even the questions I don't yet have the answers to."
Lots of tears ensue. End scene. Cinema.
In short, I don't hate Albrecht, in fact I think he's quite interesting and complex. I also think that he's misunderstood and very desperate to right his wrongs, so much so that his thoughts, feelings and actions aren't always explained in clear detail, and it very well may be because he thinks that explaining himself will take away from his efforts in trying to take out the Indifference.
The man is a space wizard with a lot of secrets, lol, and secrets are better kept when you don't share them with anyone. Hence, his actions in 1999 when he coaxed Drifter in showing love and care for the Hex. All according to plan.
And with that I'm done rambling for now. Until next time, Tenno.

Tumblr media
Very much a Warframe update, but a different style of update. New lore, lots of content, a new Warframe chapter. The gorgeous Arthur is our poster boy.
It's not a single player Warframe spinoff, a "Warframe 2" (I confess I was among those theorizing this). Those nipples stay on.
and now, waking up from his nap… it's Ben Starr! "Arthur is a very mysterious character who I am bound by NDA to say… VERY little about!" He's SO cool. and REALLY sexy. He's relatable. He's gonna be a badass, he's got a samurai sword.
Excalibur is a frame. Arthur is a PROTO-FRAME.
Just as an aside, Ben is adorable and hilarious, very fun to watch.

Q&A
Audience member in a (Uniqlo?) metal gear rising revengeance shirt that Rebb recognized and appreciated: when is my man Caliban getting buffed? A: If Pablo were here, he'd say ask me at TennoCon.
Q: any other warframes getting reworks? A: Inaros rework coming with Dante unbound. Loki rework not planned.
Q: What inspired proto-Mag's design? A: Liger did Arthur and Aoi. We had a very specific vision for those two protoframes: Arthur being the "man scout," and Aoi we wanted a nice contrast to Arthur.
Q: Two questions very well worded I didn't get them down in time because I was nodding along. About stat sticks / pseudo-exalteds and trading. A: Stat sticks: we've talked about it but no changes planned. Trading: we've talked about maybe adding riven filters but not much more than that.
Q from guy in Dante DMC trenchcoat: Drifters? Maybe new outfits? A: In Unbound we are bringing one more operator outfit to drifter.
Q: I've been playing Warframe for 10 years, and I'm legendary 4. Any additional benefits for high rank players? A: The social benefits of being a high-rank player are unexplored. In terms of more mechanical aspects… we're thinking more social benefits. congrats on being legendary 4!
Q: When's infested liches? A: Steve is that you
Q In the second metal gear shirt: warframe 1999... dark sector? A: A lot of what Warframe was built on was the scifi part of dark sector that was never meant to be. So it's poetically coming full circle, that 1999 is dark sector inspired. Q: is there a plan for the dark sector remaster? A: 1999 is the dark sector remaster.
Q: Is there going to be fashion protoframes? A: Actually, yes… And that's all I'll say on that.
Q from Leon Kennedy: is squad link coming back? A: RIP scarlet spear. Not coming back in the way you might think, but we're experimenting early days with something you might like. It's in an urn. Geoff: that's pretty dead. Rebb: Someone hasn't played Baldur's gate 3! It's not totally dead, but mostly dead.
Q: Has anyone at DE considered a TTRPG or even a war game? you could blow games workshop completely out of the water. I'd rather give money to you than them any day. A: We're all fans of that kind of content, we'd endorse fan content, but we don't have the time to pursue it. Q: Has anyone considered modular ("kit") frames? A: We have considered it, but it didn't seem shippable. Seemed scope-scary.
Q: Are you, Rebb, personally happy with the way movement works at this very moment? A: Are you asking pre- or post- sticky corners? Q: Post. Also is Soulframe taking from the movement in Warframe? Geoff: Soulfame is very much in the opposite direction of Warframe, movement-wise. Rebb: I always thought it'd be fun to explore wall running in Warframe. But other than that, I love it. I think it's the best movement system in the third person games space. Every other game I play I try and bullet jump and aim glide. Questioner agrees.
Soulframe question I used to catch up on my above notes
Q: If you could go on a date with a warframe, which one?… me, it's Grendel. Ben: what would you do on that date? Questioner: just eat :) Geoff: Excalibur? (Rebb: that's very Raphael-coded of you. Little Baldur's Gate reference for you) Mag: Probably Valkyr. Rebb: why choose? All of them >:) Ben: pick one for me. Rebb: Mirage. Ben: What would I do? Rebb: Circus act. You are the circus.
Q: What was your favourite part of developing 1999, and Ben, what was your favourite part of voicing Arthur? A: Some stuff we haven't announced yet. As with most characters I play, there's something lovable about him despite his rough exterior… rough but he's nice about it. He's gonna do something to you, but he's gonna kiss you afterward. Rebb: I think it's quite sacred to introduce protoframes like this. We're being quite sacred about it (it's not Mag and Excal, it's Aoi and Arthur). Ben: The ways in which you're exploring that dynamic is very cool, and very 90s.
Q: Rebb, what are the things that plague you? A: My plagues are supported by the development team. I'm not alone; whenever I have an ailment, I have someone that to help support me with it. Geoff: I've genuinely never seen someone care so much. He gets teary. \*audience cheers as REBB DESERVES\* Same asker: when is my girl Titania getting buffed? A: Controversial question, she's pretty strong. I could see Tribute receiving some QOL to be easier to use (some Tribute). But those dex pixia, they do kill.
Q in a Warframe sweater with a Warframe backpack!: Which NPC would you be most likely to be besties with? Ben: Fibonacci Rebb: We love you Neil! Ben: If you don't have a cranky fish as a friend, what are you doing. Megan: I love Ordis :) especially little trash can ordis Rebb: you better say Lotus, Geoff >:) Geoff: Lotus. Rebb: Hard not to love Little Duck. We'd be besties for sure, drinking in the back room.
Q: if Teshin can have his head crushed and come back, what about Veso? A: He died a hero, I'm sorry.
Q: When can we get points to Dante his brother? A: ??? audience member yells out "VIRGIL!" Rebb: \*laughs\* maybe the bike is Virgil (This is a devil may cry reference)
Q: clan to clan interaction? Haven't had that since solar rails? A: Ok so in the urn we have squad link.. \*laugh\* We are trying to do more clan events. They work for by the book tasks. There's opportunity there we haven't explored. No leaderboards. I'll try to do more.
Q: I'm curious how you develop characters as a Warframe team. I've noticed a lot of references to mythology. A: it's a library of devs that have passions. The team is just really diverse and loves really cool shit. The amount of inspiration we get to name things thematically, we have touched lore I didn't know existed. When it comes to Warframes, we're still looking at old Keith Thompson drawings… he's built different.
Q: I'm sorry to take you back in the morgue. Void keys. Will there be a return to the old void and endless missions? A: We're not in the morgue here, we're in ICU. Visiting hours are open. I loved the old voidkey system. We did a soft tease with Dagath keys, it had wins and losses… There were user experience problems. But it's not totally dead. The omnia fissures are kind of that vibe. You can bring any relic to an omnia fissure and just haul ass.
Q: Can we get a toggle for Protea's visor? A: The rigging artist working on it talked about it. Maybe. You're right, it would be nice.
Q: Fashion frame question. Have you considered a DE color palette, like, Megan's greatest hits? A: That sounds like a great idea :) We're doing it.
Q: Are we ever going to see new necramechs? A: I hate saying probably not. No new ones in 1999 at least. We're touching up the ones we have before we go to the morgue, and grab a skull, to make a a new one. Sorry
Q holding a Clem plushie: when more Clem??? A: We'll see. Clem holds a special place in our heart. He's not in the morgue, I promise.
Q: I've been coerced into asking a question on behalf of someone who's not here. He's made it clear if I don't get a satisfactory answer I won't see my family again. Are there any plans to look at spawn rates for loot and reactants? A: I'm gonna keep talking until you can get your family out safely, I'm filibustering. There's performance issues, we want to get safe on all platforms. The worst offenders we can probably fix. We can increase reactant drop rates. Loot rates is harder to solve.
Q: if you have Drifter selected, can you use drifter melee? A: We thought it was important to keep drifter melee in duviri, but… why not? We could try. Drifters can't mod though. It's not impossible, but it'd take some time.
Q: Warframe being predominantly PVE, has there been talk of collaboration among clans? A: I implied it with the other question, but a social benefit would be great. I'd love to see you make friends with other clans
Thanks to the DE team for your hard work <3 supporting us for 11 years!

Hii!! I’m a huge fan of your comics, they heal my soul lol
I have a few questions sorry 😭
What program do you use? And might you be willing to share your brushes?
How long do comics normally take you?
And the last one- how similar do your in game Drifter and Operator look to Elo and Nex?
Thank you for reading sorry again for the questions lol
thank you so much!! <3 hehe very happy to read that!! I draw traditionally and then scan my drawings! So no program, really! Pen I use is Uni Pin Brush Pen fine which I'm obsessed with! The time I spend on each comic depends on a lot of things, hyperfixation and the likes. It can take up to like 40min to 2h or plus? It depends, really, but if I can focus, it'll be done in about 30-40min!
They're a bit different haha! I tried my best to make them look similar but I can only do so much in game! Elo's the closest, but Nex? Oof. Nop. So I hide his face with the hood haha! Happy to answer any question! <3

Ok, so, quick question regarding Archie:
As a conceptually embodied entity, what makes him different than the other Tenno? How would that manifest in his story?
(Don't worry if you don't know the answer, you have attracted the gaze of the OC Whisperer and should you need help fleshing out old Archie, I shall be at your service)
Archie has always been a bit of an odd ball compared to the average operator, his memory is very hazy, he doesn't even remember much before coming out of Cryo. He's also very much non-verbal! He has always been very picky about what Frames he uses, some just don't feel right to him, others outright refuse to cooperate with him. Some Frames when he operates them he cannot remember what he did while in control. So he has a very small selection of Frames that he is comfortable operating. (Or perhaps the Frames are comfortable with him?)
As for story, he obviously lacks a Drifter counterpart (he made no deal with wally) but he also lacks any real attachment to the Lotus, since he remembers little of her presence pre-second dream. He does however remember vague impressions of what happened just before he was awoken, namely that she is an ally, but also that Alad helped :) (which begins a friendship that brings Alad much annoyance)
He's a long time operator OC (was my original operator until I felt like the story and the drifter split didn't suit him) and reimagining him as a literal little void demon kinda weirdly aligns with a lot of what I have already written for him, most of this is pretty unchanged! Thank you for the ask!

Headcanon Questions - Operator Version
via @thefreefencer's original post!
Words beneath the cut!
1. Who is your Operator? Did they leave their old name behind and picked something more appropriate for themselves?
The Operator is Abi (AH-bee, Obby) - her name is a small remnant of whoever she was aboard the Zariman Ten-Zero. She cradles it close to her chest.
2. During the Old War, what were they and what was the Warframe they were assigned to?
She was assigned to an Orokin executor - to protect, to entertain, equal parts hound and jester. Mirage was the vessel best suited to her ends and the frame she wore most, with Zephyr or Volt as common alternatives.
3. Which Tenno school defines your Operator and why?
Naramon. Ye olde ‘knowledge is power’ schtick, but it has its uses! Mapping her enemies' nervous systems is the worst part. Everything else comes together real quick, after that.
4. Did they have friends or close relationships with any other Tenno?
She had a few close friends before the Fall. Partners in mischief, siblings in trauma. She remembers them as fruit, sunlight, laughter. Their names and faces wisp at the fringes of her memory but she keeps their moments fondly.
5. What role did they play during the Tenno Insurrection against the Orokin?
"When the ninth beat rang a torrent of blood filled the stadium, loosed by Tenno blades." Hers were among the first to bite deep, twin blades carving a ghastly smile across her master’s throat. There was no enthusiasm in the doing, only a solemn focus. She remained by their side until they grew cold - it did not take long, the Golden Lords were not known for their warmth - then left without further ceremony to visit death upon The Rest.
6. Why did your Tenno go into the Second Dream?
Because Lotus asked.
7. What is your Operator's Warframe of choice and why?
High-mobility frames are preferred overall, most often her Volt. There’s a yearning for motion, an adrenaline hunger she shares with the frame’s lingering ego; through much trial and error (and some Helminth experimentation) she’s found a balance that sates both their appetites. She’s not opposed to other Warframes if the situation calls for nuance, but if she gets to choose, she chooses Volt.
8. Do they side with any of the Faction Syndicates like Steel Meridian/New Loka/etc?
Her Post-New War activities have her aligned with Solaris United. An earlier Abi would have avoided the pull to root herself so deeply in one place, but Venus is the nest she returns to these days. There’s something akin to family, there.
9. How different are they from the Drifter?
As different as two sides of a coin, a sun and its reflection, a moon and its shadow. One is a child, numbed by a thousand thousand deaths. The other is a serrated knife, honed on the violence of passing time. The Operator is the firm back of a hand, Drifter is a open palm.
Operator bites fast, and bites hard. Drifter will make sure you know Exactly what you're getting into before they flash their teeth.
10. How does your Operator see your Drifter?
Drifter is an estranged sibling, a long-lost childhood friend. Abi loves them. She's fascinated by their differences, yet they’re the only one who (possibly, probably, maybe) remembers what it was like Before All This. There’s a familial comfort in that.
There are rare moments when Drifter is the one who got off easy, who lived in a storybook while Abi was passed holster to holster, the one who saved the day when Abi could not. An underdeveloped child who filled the shoes of a war machine. The whispers are insidious and often cut deep, but she doesn’t let them fester. Abi loves the Drifter.

Pick up the pieces and set them on fire (1333 words) Rage Against the Reflection Relationships: Drifter & Operator (Warframe), Operator & The Man in the Wall (Warframe) Characters: Operator (Warframe), Drifter (Warframe), The Man in the Wall (Warframe) Additional Tags: Bad Things Happen Bingo, rage against the reflection, Hurt No Comfort, Angst, Self-Esteem Issues, Self Confidence Issues, The New War Spoilers (Warframe)
Requested by @geargoyle :D
I went really heavy on this being my Operator and the issues they're having lmao 😅
...
The thing about reflections is that they show all your imperfections. From the scars, to the acne, to the way one eye might be a little more off than the other. It shows everything back and the only way to escape it is. To. Not. Look. To avoid every mirror, every surface that shines a bit too much.
Maybe if you avoid it long enough you’ll forget what you look like. Forget the color of your eyes, the way your nose bends, the way your lips frown.
So that when it’s your own face staring back one day with an unfamiliar grin and void black eyes then you won’t know to be afraid about what’s being reflected back.
The operator never used to worry about this, never would have thought to worry about it. But then the Zarimen happened. One bad jump happened. The void happened. The life they had known upended and shattered into pieces as they tried to keep their little group of friends together and calm as the adults they were supposed to trust banged on the walls screaming for their blood.
They’d never thought about reflections. Not even then. Not until it was their face staring back. Smiling a smile a bit too wide and making promises that sounded far too impossible.
What choice did they have? What choice could they have possibly made as the adults began tearing through the makeshift barrier? There wasn’t a choice. Not really. Not for them. Not for the other Tenno.
The thing about reflections is that they’re supposed to be on the other side of the mirror. Not reaching out, grabbing your hand, and altering your very being into something… other. Making you into something you would never have thought you could be. Giving you power that eats away everything you thought you should be.
The operator had forgotten all this in the Dream. It came back in pieces. Like a the shattered pieces of a mirror slowly being glued back together.
Some things though… They’re ingrained into them. That’s why there’s no mirror in their room or any other part of the ship. Because some deeper part of themself is terrified to see what might be waiting on the other side. They didn’t understand why. Not until later. Not until they’d seen themself.
Sitting cross-legged on that pedestal in their room, wearing the Lotus’s helmet like it was mocking them and their failure. It was only a moment. A moment that passed too fast and made them question their own sanity.
It kept happening.
Knocking on the walls, their own voice a whispered echo of Kiddo followed by amused laughter.
They didn’t understand. Not yet.
Not until now. Seated across from another reflection. Imperfect in the way he is an adult and they aren’t (and possibly never can be). The existence of a choice they could have made but didn’t. Making choices they still can’t make.
“You… You didn’t take the deal.” He didn’t give up everything that made them, them. (Did he let everyone die?)
“Nope.” The Drifter says with a lazy smile before stuffing a sushi roll into his mouth. He barely even chews it before he’s talking again. Mouth still full. “You know, mph, you’re gonna need to make a choice here sooner or later.” He swallows and stuffs another sushi roll into his mouth.
The thing about reflections is that they can show you everything you don’t want to be… and they can show every little bit of you that’s missing.
The operator bites their lip, looks down at the food in front of them and tries to remember the last time they truly ate anything. They wait for that gnawing hunger to come but know it’ll never happen. Just like they know that they won’t be the one leaving this room.
The Drifter knows too. He sets his pair of chopsticks down and the operator looks away. They don’t want to see the pity.
“I’ll save her.”
“You better.” Because she’s one of the few things the operator has left.
He leaves and they… they stay. Seated for a moment until they can’t stand it anymore. Shoving back from the table hard enough to make their chair screech, they stand and start to pace. They should have gone. They should have been stronger.
(They should’ve been less afraid.)
Are they stuck here forever now, stuck in- they take a breath, ignore the picture that’s on one of shelves. The operator knows this room. Sometimes they still see it when they dream.
Their old room on the Zariamen was a shared one. Their father, their mother. There’s echoes of them on each shelf. In each decoration picked out. They grit their teeth and enter through the door to what was the bedroom. It’s bare compared to the small kitchen area. A book or two strewn about. A stuffed plush on one of the beds.
What’s new though, is the mirror on the wall. Bigger than they would ever want any mirror to be. Reflecting the beds and the rest of the room.
Reflecting a version of themself that sits cross-legged and grinning in an almost mockery of when they first saw him. The operator swallows roughly as they catch it’s eyes.
“You didn’t go, Kiddo.”
They glare into the Reflection whose grin seems to impossibly widen.
“I’m not talking to you.” They turn on their heel, arms crossed, and fingers digging in for dear life into their arms. They already died once, why the hell do they have to deal with him too.
“Ah, don’t be like that,” their reflection says, seated now in reality on the bed they were headed for. “Not when we finally have the chance to talk.”
“I don’t want to talk to you.” They close their eyes, taking a deep breath in through their nose in an attempt to calm their nerves. This was a mistake. They should have been stronger, should have gone after the Lotus themself. But… they couldn’t. Couldn’t risk the Lotus attacking them, hurting them.
They don’t-
Their fingers tighten, knuckles growing white from the force of their grip.
“What’s wrong Kiddo? Not so fun being on the other side of the looking glass is it?” The man in the wall asks with a laugh. “What’s it feel like I wonder? To know that there’s a version of yourself that’s willing to make the hard choices.”
“Shut up.”
“You know he made a whole reality for himself. Honestly couldn’t be prouder. Of course it hurt a bit when he didn’t take my deal the first time around but I can’t say it hasn’t been fun to watch him grow into his own power. Even if he doesn’t fully realize what he’s capable of yet.”
“Shut Up.”
“What’s wrong? Can’t handle the fact that you just keep on disappointing me Kiddo?”
“I don’t give a shit about you.”
“Come on now, you can’t possibly be this upset with me. Honestly it should really be the other way around.”
They shiver as the temperature in the room drops. The operator opens their eyes and their reflection is nose to nose with them. Smile still in place for all the anger that’s emanating from it.
“You’re going to disappoint me, Kiddo. And when you do,” The man in the wall tilts his head, neck cracking from the impossible way it bends, “ everything that he fixes… well whose to say it won’t get broken again.”
Then he’s gone. Like he was never there in the first place.
The operator shudders. Turns to the mirror to see themself and only themself in it. Wild eyed with panic, skin a shade too light.
Would the Drifter look like this? Would he give in to his fear?
Would he give in to his rage?
They grit their teeth, raising a hand. It doesn’t take much to shatter a mirror but by the time their done with it, it will be as if it never existed.

Found a fun little QnA for the Drifer by @/thefreefencer and decided to do it, since the Warframe brainworms are eating me alive rn
Under read more for spoilers/long post reasons
1. Is there anything your Drifter remembers about their parents? How old were they when they lost them?
Damien remembers his parents somewhat clearly. He remembers personality and appearance and a few odd days and experiences he had with them. All the time in the void kind of fucked with his memory though, and a lot of his earlier or general memories are gone, as well as just giving him general mental problems. Funnily enough, the jump issue happened right on his 13th birthday.
2. Through a sick fucking joke, courtesy of Wally, congratulations your Drifters dead parents are alive but you have one day with them. What would your Drifter do?
Go on a walk around Cetus, explain the place, talk to the locals and introduce his parents (specifically to Khonzu, Damien finds Khonzu oddly endearing), then just walk around and enjoy their presence. He'd try to catch up somewhat, but he'd avoid the more depressing or scary topics. He'd also show off his Warframe moves at least a littleee bit, gotta look cool for the old people.
3. What was your Drifter like as a kid back in those days on the Zariman before the Incident?
Curious little gremlin. Kid wanted to know anything and everything, and also had a bit of a problem with the whole "personal space" thing. He was Mildly off putting to the other kids due to his eccentricity but still not as ostracized as Rell. He tried very hard to be nice to everyone and would help his friends without them need asking.
4. Did your Drifter know Rell? Were they friends? (As a sidenote, best frame is Harrow, don't @ me)
Damien knew Rell well (or, at least as well as one could know Rell) and was one of the few people to actually try to include him and treat him well. He would try his best to get his opinion and have conversation with Rell when the occasion presented itself
5. Other than square shaped foods what would a comfort food or drink be for the Drifter?
Tea. He finds it incredibly relaxing to just sit back with a warm herbal tea and just reflect on his hellhole of a life.
6. So now that we got Velimir+Minerva, Kaya and Flare+Lizzie, so how we getting along with the Roundtable folks so far? (I'll be doing a Roundtable version later)
It took him a moment, like it does all new people, but Damien did start to warm up to them, and at the very least enjoys talking to them.
7. Did you get the cursed office chair and if you did, how's the Drifter dealing with that pain in the ass showing up in the middle of the apartment at random, inconvenient times?
He's tried kicking it. It hit him in the face for it.
8. If say nothing had happened to that jump to Tau, what would your Drifter had grown up to be?
Either a historian or a field medic. Either way he would've grown up to hate the Orokin and probably would get executed for going against them.
9. Do you have any other iterations of your Drifter in other games? Anything different about them?
One, technically. He also exists in a DnD campaign, being a Dragonborn Paladin.
Bonus Question:
You got isekai-ed into WF, and somehow by dumb luck you got rescued by either Drifter/Operator (your choice), be it in the Origin system or 1999 Hollvania, how screwed are you?
The Drifter would probably just leave me in the personal quarters and do the bare minimum interaction, but still keep me alive
