Bit of a style experiment. I love @quibbs art, and how everything they draw has the energy of a kindergartner that got their hands on the BIG box of crayons. Tried to do some of that myself, noooot sure how well it worked out. Further experimentation needed.
Also, love a lot of the outfits in BG3, but put them on a dragonborn (or maybe just Karl), and they make them look like...kind of a dork. Karl found a work around.
Come on Astarion, how much does one outfit cost? 10 gold?

Fankid art!
Fyi, Vampire Shrimp (Cookie with the plushie) and Charcoal Cheese (Cookie with the goatee) aren't my Ocs! They belong to my pal @quibbs126 ! Choco Taiyaki and Choco Cheese Log are mine!
The art of Vampire Shrimp and Choco Taiyaki is somewhat meant to be a redraw of art I did of them in the past last year. (Since they're both DarkLobster kids) The art is basically Choco Taiyaki introducing Vampire Shrimp to her friends. Quibbs mentioned that Vampire Shrimp is very shy so that's why they're hiding behind Choco Taiyaki.
Now for the art of Charcoal Cheese and Choco Cheese Log (Dark Cacao x Golden Cheese kids) is them in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. (There's no reason why Charcoal Cheese would actually be in the Kingdom according to his lore but eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
Also apart of Charcoal Cheese's lore, since his main location is the Parmesan Dessert, I think I'd be funny if Charcoal Cheese would not like the cold one but, even when simply snowing (Quibbs you're free to correct me if this isn't the case) while Choco Cheese Log is basically immune to it since they grew up in the Kingdom and being shirtless 24/7.
#not my ocs#(for Vampire Shrimp and Charcoal Cheese)#mutual's ocs#cookie run#cookie run kingdom#cookie run ovenbreak#cookie run oc#cookie run fankid#DarkLobster#dark cacao x golden cheese#golden cheese x dark cacao#of course i had to forget the ship name now goddamn it-#GoldenCacao#there it is

I didn't update what I finished reading in 2024 and my favorite books so here's that
I read 18 additional books, many of them not worth mentioning (I had several ebooks sitting in my library that I bought when I was going through a "I just wanna read something easy and dumb" and easy and dumb they were!). Here were some good ones:
Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu Cat Sebastian's Cabots series (Peter Cabot Gets Lost was my favorite, I much prefer her 20th century romances to her 18th and 19th century romances) What I Know About You by Eric Chacour Open Throat by Henry Hoke The Puppets of Spelhorst and The Hotel Balzaar by Kate DiCamillo Winter Recipes from the Collective and The Triumph of Achilles by Louise Gluck The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by Walter Benjamin The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science by Kate McKinnon
And here are my favorites of the year:
Brickmakers by Selva Almada: crass and violent and very effective Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar: inventive and the right amount of pretentious Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin: duh The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin: incredibly expansive world The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida by Shehan Karunatilaka: filled the The Good Place-shaped hole in my heart The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui: nuance!!!!! In Memoriam by Alice Winn: absolutely heartbreaking The Unidentified by Colin Dickey: I have so many annoying UFO facts to share with people now Death in the Haymarket by James Green: will forever be obsessed with this event How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu: still thinking about this months later Stitching Freedom by Isabella Rosner: embroidery is so important I will fight you if you say it's not Jamilia by Chingiz Aitmatov: spiritual successor to My Antonia Open Throat by Henry Hoke: silly and weird The Hotel Balzaar by Kate DiCamillo: like Big Fish but for preteens Winter Recipes from the Collective by Louise Gluck: like walking through the woods on a sunny, snowy day and also I should call my sister and tell her I love her The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science by Kate McKinnon: for weird kids and awkward kids and weird, awkward kids. Cannot recommend the audiobook highly enough.

10,16, and 24 for the inquisitor ask :)
ty sm for the ask!!! :D
Im using my Aranehn Lavellan for this ask because she is my canon Inky and my favorite child <3 (art by the lovely @quibbs)
10. What are the Herald's opinion on the Mage Rebellion and on mage rights?
Aranehn had never left her clan before the conclave so the circles are a very foreign concept to her. She can't comprehend being locked up your entire life for something you can't control though so she is sympathetic to the mage rebellion.
16. What are the Inquisitor's thoughts on their advisors Leliana, Josephine and Cullen? Who do they listen to the most?
Aranehn has wanted to travel and see different parts of Thedas all her life but she was limited to what books her clan could get a hand on to teach her about other cultures. After joining the Inquisition though she becomes fast friends with Josephine and could listen to her talk for hours about her time as a diplomat.
Leliana and her don't talk very much but they have a deep respect for each other. Aranehn can sense that Leliana is a deeply compassionate person despite the horrible circumstances. Her trip into the future with Dorian reaffirms this belief and deepens the trust she has in Leliana.
She used to be slightly afraid of Cullen due to her mother growing up in Kirkwall and hearing some of her stories about templars. As time goes on though and she helps him quit lyrium she realizes that he is a good man. They meet up whenever they have spare time to play chess and get away from their stresses as Inquisitor and Commander.
In terms of who Aranehn listens to the most, she will usually take Josephine's advice and try to take the diplomatic option.
24. What are the Inquisitor's thoughts on Celene, Briala and Gaspard? And who do they pick to rule Orlais?
As mentioned Aranehn grew up without much contact with the outside world so she finds Orlais and the game to be incredibly confusing and disorienting. In the end though she picks Celene and Briala to rule Orlais due to disliking Gaspard militaristic ways.

artist asks: 6, 9, & 21 😊
artist asks!
6. which artists inspire you right now?
leyendecker comes to mind every time i'm asked this question, but some current ones are sas miledge, celia lowenthal, @ hatepotion, @ zmeess, @ quibbs 💖
9. what are you currently trying to improve?
i feel like i'm always experimenting with and trying to improve the textures in my art! my goal is always more but i think sometimes i hold back when i'm actually working. part of that is finding the brushes that really work for me but i think most of it is just going all in with layers and embracing a little bit of mess :o) that and learning more about composition!
21. weirdest thing you've ever drawn?
oh man, i've drawn so much jokey shit for friends and family over the years uHH things to come to mind: fucked up little sonic, crocodile biting a dnd character's crotch, gandalf big naturals

MY BABIESSSSSSSS
Quibbs I absolutely love your art, and I LOVE how they look in your style! Thank you for drawing them!
So the past couple days I’ve been drawing more of @bellatheinkdemon fankids
Just to list off who’s who, we got:
Spicy Plum Sauce Cookie (Red Pepper/Plum)
Choco Peach Tart Cookie (Dark Choco/Peach)
Sweet Cream Dragon Cookie (Pure Vanilla/Longan)
Mixed Berry Choco Cheesecake Cookie (Wildberry/Crunchy Chip)
Choco Cream Cake Cookie (Dark Choco/Whipped Cream)
Raspberry Ripe Cookie (Dark Choco/Raspberry)
Mint Cocoa Cookie (Mint Choco/Cocoa)
Truth be told, I was planning on drawing them back when the next batch of 6 came out, but then I never got around to it, only deciding to draw them randomly a couple days ago. Though I do plan on drawing the rest at some point, just don’t know when
Honestly, I feel like I did a lot better this time around than last time, especially with them all being around the canvas instead of just rows, I think it looks better that way. And heck, I even got an extra one in this time
Probably could have fit an eighth, but I didn’t really want to move around the characters on the canvas even more
I’d say my personal favorite was Sweet Cream Dragon, I think they turned out real nice
I do have to say though that I just don’t like how Mint Cocoa’s hair turned out, but I wasn’t sure how else to interpret the original without majorly tweaking the hair. I mean yeah, I did do some tweaks here and there, but I wasn’t really sure how to hear without majorly changing things. Shame because I really liked how her eyes turned out. But ah well, them’s the brakes I suppose
But yeah these were fun to do, and hopefully it won’t take as long for me to get to the next batch. Hope y’all enjoy!
