also the life!si is branching from their original concept, so it seems we are losing overall blue fairy vibes (though the bones of it still runs through it all somewhat).

I do think, long before the events with puss and so on, when the world was new, life and death were at each other's throats.

they are each other's opposites of course, and long before they grew to be partners and lovers, full out fights were common.

perhaps life would win those fights, from time to time, but they both knew it was just a delay, even though life was terrible at admitting that.

I don't think it would've been a big event that would've shifted the tides, just a gradual build up of moments between the two, that would've lead to a form of acceptance and respect of each other.

outright friendship, and even love was slower, but that foundation was already built.

shipping with death has been lovely however one of his flaws is that he is not Optimal for biting, alas.

for the actual involvement of life in the plot of the p.nb movie, I'm considering the idea of at the start of puss' various lives, life would vist him. they'd pass themselves off as a random fairy and so on, and would occasionally try to nudge him in the direction of improving himself. it wouldn't take of course, but that's the point.

and of course when the ninth life rolls in, things shift.

I like the idea of when death takes over, and his subsequent hunt, it is something both him and life agreed upon.

but part of me is uncertain about it, but also I like the concept that the two do respect each other's domains most of the time, and have good communication, and because of that it adds a flavor of you're stuck in here with me now when it comes to puss' situation.

and it can be read as life is going at the angle of sink or swim, improve or be struck down, whereas death doesn't expect him to change, but nonetheless.

with death and the life si, part of me wants to go with the angle of both of them having multiple forms, as can common with personifications. but in some ways, that feels like a coward's path.

instead, the other angle I want to go in, especially with death, is that both of them have had only had one form, that he's always been a wolf, perhaps predating the said animals in question.

I do think I'll give the life!si vaguely scientist vibes. evolution, change and ever adapting? I can see that working best with that angle. also the experience of being both the artist and the canvas.

and because of that, I think it's kind of a love language between them and death for them to say, hey babe come look at this.

oh i was so hoping you were talking about puss in boots death in that post about wolves wagging their tails! :3 amazing choice! he's still such a cool character (i mean the whole movie is marvellous and i'm forever in love with their color choices) and your s/i seems compelling too i love that you two have a complimentary theme going on it never gets old i swear a life and death motif what's more magical than that? <3

and disconnected from the self shipping, he's a fantastic character (and so is the rest of the movie💕). I could even say he is one of my favorite depictions of death (other top fav depictions being the death in the san.dman and disc.world, tho tbh, other versions are still top tier).

got around to watching the p.uss and boots movie and it was fun, and I especially loved how they did the action scenes.

and on that note, I think I'll make death of that movie a romantic f/o, for now. no idea if it'll be a long term thing, but I'll just focus on having fun with it honestly.

think I'll go with the idea of the si for it is a life personification, mixed with with the blue fairy concept. but yeah, incredible old married couple energy with death mixed with their varying opinions on mortals. idk man, it compells me.

Andromeda - Has there ever been a time where you or your F/O have had to save the other? What was it from and what became of it?

in the early days, he got in the classical situation of getting sealed away when on the job, and by extension death overall stopped everywhere. I was the one to find him, and I do think that experience shifted us from allies to friends (then eventually lovers).

Draco - What are both of you like in times of dire need or stressful situations?

overall, we're both often quiet and focused, though he's prone to snarking and the like. however, I'm more likely to falter alas, and he will counterbalance in turn.

for sirius ✨:

Gemini - How alike are the both of you? How different are you? How do these things effect your dynamic?

we're both protective, prone to becoming quickly ride or die (if the circumstance is right), but I'm more positive and analytical, when they're more prone to being negative, and frankly, more emotionally open.

that mix can make us clash of course, and have to learn to meet each other halfway as well, but simotaniously I like to believe the differences also make us balance each other out.

Lepus - What pace do both of you move? Is one of you faster than the other? Slower? Explain!

physically, I'm faster, though they will get faster when getting protective. mentally we're about even because I'm prone to overthinking, and emotionally they're faster in some ways, but I'm catching up.

Fornax - How do you both keep the spark in your relationship going? What do you do for each other that no other person can?

things that keeps it all going is things like having the shared experience as personifications, the shared history and the understanding that comes from it. there's also the challenge we offer each other, the support we give each other as well.

Gemini - How alike are the both of you? How different are you? How do these things effect your dynamic?

aside from the obvious, life and death you know, you could say I'm more laissez faire than him, and he's quieter than I am. but also we're both responsible and stubborn. the similarity has made clashes in the past, when the differences have made it easier in some ways.

Leo - What’s something either of you have done that’s made the other proud? What about disappointed?

for disappointment, for him a big one is from the early days, aka giving cats nine lives, aka being indulgent with my charges. for me, it's some of the cases where he will mess with the departed to the point of hmm, sorry but, overkill. doesn't happen often but nonetheless.

for making each other proud? for me, it's been when he's prompted change in the living, guided when I when I could not. for him, hmm, with my various creations.
